I don't really have a Twitter that I use other than just for following accounts I like, but I see you talking about your hybrid au and I have so many Thoughts.

I imagine that leopardseal!Soap might tend to overheat more easily than others, with that thick skin and likely dense layer of blubber. He probably also wouldn't visually hold his weight like regular humans. He's super muscular but would likely be padded in a way that just makes him look sleek? Dense?

As opposed to a normal human who might get stretch marks/visible cellulite/sag. I just like the interesting biology implications a lot

But it would also do a good job of protecting him. If he gets slashed with a knife he'll bleed but unless it's like deathly deep it'll just be splitting open that yellow fatty layer.

I wonder if he can also pinch his nostrils closed. Though you did mention he was more or less human looking

for sure seal!soap would not love the heat. definitely a bit more sensitive to it than the rest of his crew, & he probably sweats more.

as for his physique, i'm picturing him built like something between a swimmer & a strongman. so, broad shoulders & chest, strong legs, but he's not trim at all. definitely has a healthy layer of fat on top of his big-ass muscles. definitely looks Solid, that's for sure. the kind of person you'd bounce off of if you tried to tackle him.

tbh i think he probably Would get stretch marks––esp since his body gained that extra bulk fairly quickly––but maybe not cellulite so much.

you're correct tho!! the fat does provide a lot of protection from serious damage too!! better cushioning from blunt force & concussive damage, & less bleeding from slashing/stabbing damage! it'd take a lot to get him down & keep him down. that GSW to the shoulder in las almas? hurt like hell, but didn't really slow him down (so he probably took a couple more bullets to be hindered like he was).

& yes, i've had a couple of people ask about/mention his nostrils! he definitely can close them! a little ways up inside the nostrils are flaps of muscle that pinch closed whenever he needs to shut his nose.

i think i did mention that his hands & feet are webbed, but i didn't go much into detail with it. so the membranes between his fingers & toes, when relaxed, aren't very visible. they lay pretty flat between his digits, thus allowing them to move freely as normal digits would. but when engaged, the membranes snap up & go taut between the digits! giving him webbed hands/feet for which to swim Very Fast.
