my WIP PA crossover/evolution AU in a nutshell

The basic premise of the AU is that it's a world where certain characters learn to manipulate "hyperreality" giving them overt superpowers or simply things like hightened senses and perception. The worlds of cartoons have multiple realities that the character live in, yet accessing this reality is the most difficult on the minds of the characters. When they access it, they can leave their own show as well...

Throughout the universe of cartoons the mysterious creatures known as anomalies invade the worlds, and it's only the few oddly specifc characters from certain series who are best equipped to stop them.

However, they end up feeling alienated and outcast by their loved ones for changing so much so they can stop the monsters and for how much they can do.

I just love the idea of an unhinged fantasy AU for Pepper Ann, because of how much weird stuff that happens in the series. It would be a fantasy adventure with some surreal elements, but still very unserious in some points and ofren wacky

TLDR: I made Nicky a workaholic overpowered angel OC who works for a secret multidimensional organization- fights monsters and breaks reality (but only on Tuesdays where her power is strongest. ok joke. that would be made in the breakroom with her multidimensional coworkers.) and she's a mysterious figure in Hazelnut. Is overpowered but like. Power level super is inconsistent unfortunately and it's like. Not actual power mechanics. Weirdness. It would start mostly Pepper Ann analog fantasy drama and then become a fantasy crossover... No I'm not OK...

#part of me making this au feels like something something giving Nicky freedom #I just think of her early characterization sometimes like it's sort of canon even with prequel stuff and like. makes me sad that most obx fics on wattpad are just blatantly boring, copying the script word for word, barely give the oc a personality or a chance to mess with the plot or with characters, just 1/10 for originality

so hey guys i finished dungeon meshi yesterday and i'm still thinking about it

#ria.txt #i spoiled myself so at first i was like 'this is bonkers wtf are they doing in those last few chapters?????'#but then it was like. yeah. i see #love those ch when it's just clearly putting the squad into Situations #also. izutsumi #what i really liked was how tightly the protagonist and the deuteragonist were wound up in the overall themes #the plot the themes the conflict the characters it was very neatly connected #hence i am also now accidentally invested in whatever going on between laios and marcille #not just platonic not romantic not enemies i just think they work well tgt and deeply care for each other its great watching them develop #it's the leader + most trusted advisor / anxious girlfailure + the annoying freak she's somehow attached to vibes #haha that rabbit chapter with marcille. hahha i was like what the fuck man. it was funny and then boom whump [tears streaming down my face]#those shapeshifter chs were sooo much fun esp seeing other chara's perceptions of each other. stealing that #the changeling ones were great too elf senshi is the fucking funniest he looks sooooooo unserious #marcille's evolving perception with death starting with saving falin and saving the squad and her nightmares of outliving everyone-#-and her dad and her 'temper tantrum' and UGH when at the end she said she was fine with falin not coming back.... WAAA. OUGH.#i think dunmeshi handled the trope of 'prophecy of chosen one becoming king' pretty well and it makes sense why laios is the protag #the worldbuilding is so thoughtful as well i liked seeing different characters with different worldviews interact #very solid and well rounded series wooo #the main 4 has such a fun dynamic together #anyways. dunmeshi au.....#more like borrowing the worldbuilding bc charas are too nuanced for a one to one comparison #ren is like some prince of his own species but he's like 34th in line and no one cares about him so he fucks off to eat monsters #which is why he's both snobbish AND a total freak when it comes to his food taste #false is originally in for the money from ren and plans to scam him but unfortunately the cringefail swag captures her #martyn is Obnoxiously Clueless and thinks he's smart but he's not. he's resourceful but also pathetic and crazy #stress cant cook but she thinks she does so everyone goes (≖_≖ ) when she picks up a pot. they delegate her to killing and chopping duty #the mvp is iskall who keeps on saving everyone's asses and somehow has resources for everyone #i think ren is actually aware false is going to scam him but he has too much money to spend anyway and he thinks shes cool so he lets her??#and somehow she doesnt take the money and run. and goes back to eating monsters w/ the party. everyone is crazy

#and with that I'm launching my Caesar trilogy s/i: Terrence #he was a was a very dedicated primate caregiver who felt closer to his charges than to his fellow humans #when the virus started killing those around him he retreated to the woods to get away from all the death and fighting happening in the city #eventually he ran into a group of foraging evolved apes that included the chimp that he'd been closest to at the sanctuary #who he'd never given up on finding. She pled his case with Caesar and he realized that Terrence had always cared about apes and #treated them with respect so he let him stay with the colony.#Koba hated having a human around ofc but everyone else accepted Terrence over time because he applied himself to helping the colony #he became especially close with Caesar and Cornelia and basically ended up as the royal babysitter when Blue Eyes was born lol #he also became close to Maurice and eventually fell in love with him which led to a long period of yearning and (he assumed) one-sided love #but they eventually ended up getting together ofc :3c and when Maurice found Nova Terrence happily accepted her as their daughter <3 #🦧🤟#toby.txt

Does anyone have any monster romance recommendations (Books or fanfics) preference for super niche or extra weird ones

#i keep trying to read the popular ones and I keep being so frustrated I think Im too autistic about the logistics #i can handle bad/cliche plot points its romance focused but when characters do stupid shit then I clock out so fast #not even cliche romance shit like in one book the fmc was like 'i cant tell if this little girl is 3 or 13' are u dumb fr #characters are the actual main plot of romance books to me and the dynamics of their evolving relationships/development #so bad characters just take me out immediately especially when theyre consistently like this #please give me freaks I want FREAKS let them both be weird and offputting #match eachothers freak and they can be weird and offputting together ❤️

i hate that finding a good job this day always requires networking. what about us antisocial bitches that say more words to an npc than to a human in a day. i really should be able to get a decent job with skills alone, not through someone i happen to know, because i don’t know that many people.

#also how jobs post listings they already have an internal candidate for #and you apply #do a test task #and get it dismissed with a laughable excuse of ‘grammar mistakes’#(totally didnt happen to me and totally not bitter about it wdym)#job search now is just. hellish. ive searched three months and all i got is an unpaid internship that evolved into a job with less #than livable wage #like its not livable even in cheaper regions of the country let alone the capital where i currently live #together with my bf we make what one of us should ideally make to survive on our own #ah and i also get a laughably tiny stipend from my university #its really Laughably tiny #so tired of corporations not valuing people’s labor what it really costs #like i should be able to afford at least groceries and one room apartment on my salary and maybe something to save for clothes and all #instead all my salary goes on food. for me and my bf and for my lunches at work #thats all i can pay for with my money #this just. makes me so miserable #sorry for whining #arnold’s laments

honestly i have a really have a hard time looking at my old vrai stuff. but going through old stuff for grtv fills me with absolute delight, its been so long but i still hold so much love for this story and the people who followed it
