Prompt: maybe instead of Blinky turning human it was Aaarrrrgghh? (Wether or not Blinky gets stabbed by creepers sun in return is up to you)

Human!Arrrgh!!! would be so fun!

He’d be hesitant about exploring than Blinky, but he’d enjoy himself too, as he got more used to things.

I think he’d like walking around the park and seeing/hearing the birds in the daytime.  Also the different ways sunlight affects the leaves on the trees in the day in comparison to during the nighttime.

Toby takes him out to a retro arcade, and he enjoys himself immensely there (they were going to go to a more modern one, but Toby scouted it out beforehand and found that had one of those shooting games with very loud sound effects and subsequently decided not to take Arrrgh!!! there).

Nana’s cats love human!Arrrgh!!!  After he tries to eat one and fails, Arrrgh!!! begins to like the cats back.  He likes how it feels when they rub up against him and giving them pets is a pleasant experience.

Rather than whip cream, his favorite human food is cheesy potato chips.

Arrrgh!!! worries that, without his troll strength, he won’t be able to protect the others as well.  Jim and Toby try to teach him how to fight like a human, but he eventually begins taking krav maga classes from the same place that Barbara goes to.

Barbara does notice her son and Toby hanging around this strange man (they aren’t as successful passing him off as a high school guidance counselor bc Arrrgh!!! isn’t as well-spoken as Blinky).  She alerts Nana, who gets Phil and the other Geezer I can’t remember the name of.  Altogether, they approach Arrrgh!!! with questions, inquiries, and concerns.

The official cover story becomes “Arthur Samson” is a veteran who recently moved to Arcadia, but he’s had trouble building a life there.  He met Toby and Jim on the street and they decided to help him.

After confirming he means no harm to the boys, the Geezers, Nana, and Barbara decide to help “Mr. Samson” as well.  The Geezers and Nana, as they know most everything (human-related) that goes on in Arcadia, help Arrrgh!!! get a furnished apartment.  Their attempts to get him a job don’t exactly go as well all things considered, but they all pitch in to help him out as much they can.

Barbara pulls some strings with a coworker to get Arrrgh!!! in to see a good therapist (he displayed some signs of PTSD in front of her and they pass off his speech mannerisms as an effect of fighting in a war, which they were - just not a human one).

Arrrgh!!! only agrees to see the mental health professional after a deep discussion on the topic with Blinky.  He’s reassured he can back out at any time and Toby, Jim, and Blinky help him translate his experiences into something that can be understood by a human not in the know.  It’s hard for him to talk about things, but it eventually helps him too.

7. - What annoys them the most about their partner? Would they change it if they could?

They have very different levels of energy. Blinky can be excitable especially when he is investigating a conspiracy theory. Vendel can be a bit of a curmudgeon, preaching caution. They both wish the other would understand their point of view. I feel like slowly they would grow more towards the middle. Blinky learning caution, Vendel getting more excited. 

8. - What do the like best about their partner?

Both of them like the other’s intelligence. They are easily the two smartest trolls in Trollmarket, and arguably the world. They work well together because of that. 

17. - What would make them break up? Would it be permanent?

Vendel’s lack of faith in Blinky and his abilities. And it would be permanent if someone got hurt because of it. Like with Killahead bridge. If Jim had gotten hurt of killed Blinky would probably choose his protege over his partner. 

19. - What do they fight about? What are their arguments like? How do they make up?

They fight about their differing approaches to problems. And their arguments can get heated, but never violent. Cuddles!

23. - How do they hug? Kiss? Tease? Flirt? Comfort?

Nose kisses are a must. Vendel is really one of the best huggers, his arms are large to store his love. Blinky will tease and flirt with Vendel when the leader is in charge of running something important. They comfort each other with cuddles as well. 

39. - Who initiated the relationship? Who kissed who first?  When did they realize they were in love?

Blinky for both of the firsts. Vendel’s preaching of caution restrained him from making the first move, but Blinky is inclined for charging in if the need requires. I think they realized they were in love when they were reading together. THey both glanced up at the other at different times, never making eye contact, and just watched the other read
