Imagine being a Blue Lock manager! ⚽
VERSION II.
(a/n: Helloo, I'm back again!! ^^ hope you enjoy this one too and if u see any grammatical errors let me know! 🙏 tyy for reading this<3 )
WARNING!-none
wc: 1.3k words, similar to last time =)
ALSO: SORRY guys about their jersey numbers since it may not be accurate in the story cause during bllk it always changed yk and honestly i got confused so i'm just gonna stick to what i prefer lmao @ttheggrimrreaper ❤️
——————
FROM THE PROLOGUE:
“Congratulations L/N Y/N! Based on your results, you've earned your place in Blue Lock as the manager of player number...
...7, Nagi Seishiro"
"Nagi Seishiro..."-you murmured upon hearing the unfamiliar name, your gaze intensely scanning the little icon of him next to yours.-…nope, doesn’t ring a bell.”
Quickly moving on, you headed to the 'MANAGER' labeled room where Anri handed you a little booklet along with a congratulations for surviving type of speech before dismissing you to find your new player. As you walked your way to where Team V was currently training, you read through the booklet, groaning at the new routine you got.
“Seriously, what part of being a manager includes tutoring…?-reaching the green field, you looked around the players, trying to find a white-haired guy with a supposed height of 6’3 according to the booklet. Turning your head from left to right then right to left multiple times, you still didn’t catch sight of the boy. Where is he? Surely, you can’t be that blind not to notice someone as tall as him.
Thinking maybe you misread something, you pulled out his data sheet, but right at that moment, a purple-headed guy ran up to you.
“Hey, I noticed you standing there for a while now. Can I help?”-he offered, before taking a look at the paper in your hands.
“That would be great, thanks. You guys are Team V, right? Can you tell me where Nagi Seishiro is?”-you asked, letting him inspect the data sheet, hoping to get an answer about your player’s whereabouts.
“Wait, you’re his assigned manager?”-he asked, voice full of surprise.-“He skipped training today, so he should be in our room, I suppose.”-the purple head answered, giving you a look of pity before directing you to their room.
“Thank you for the help!”-bowing a little, you left in a hurry, starting to get irritated with this hide-and-seek game.
“You’re welcome! Please take care of him!”-your helper shouted.-“…he can be a handful.”-the rest of the words being whispered as he returned to the soccer field.
'Who the hell skips their training just like that? He better be a good.'- you thought, jogging your way to their room.-“Why did I even get someone like him in the first place? I can’t…”
Imagine being Nagi Seishiro’s manager, known as the lazy genius.
——————
Nagi Seishiro, whose room you literally had to break down to get him out of bed and introduce yourself, his gaze never once leaving the small phone screen in his hands as he listens to half of whatever you’re saying and hums here and there to pretend like he’s been paying attention. Slowly waiting for you to finish your rambling, he then asks if you can carry him back to his bed.
“Will you listen to me if I do?”-you ask, trying to get the tiniest amount of attention from him.
“Sure, sure.”-he replies before his body draped over yours like a baby panda.
——————
•Nagi, who in the beginning is hard to handle as not only do you have to get him to attend practices regularly, but also to chew his food at every meal time so he doesn’t pass out the next day. He also seems to enjoy playing virtual games on his phone, rather than focusing on the real-life matches before him, his best friend, Reo being the one to make him run towards the soccer ball.
•To your surprise though, the first time you see him play, you immediately notice that he’s quite talented with or without the purple-haired assisting, always scoring a goal or two in advance to the whistle, ensuring that his team doesn’t fail.
•Nagi, who never played any sports aside from the ones on his device, doesn’t really care about his body’s health, forcing you to do some extra work to make sure he’s fit and well-fed enough on and off the field.
•Fortunately though, taking care of his physical health and performance is harder, than dealing with his mental health. Having an easy-going personality means his introverted ass doesn’t require much, other than a comfortable bed and 2 hours of silence with some games or mangas on the side. Also, if he has enough energy, he will offer you to play with him, teaching you some techniques along the way.
•He’s surprisingly patient and explains everything in great detail anytime you ask about the rules of a game or the skills of a character. He’ll pretty much answer to anything related to his interests. However, there are days when he suddenly becomes quiet, needing much more care and attention than usual, only answering with hums and nods to your questions, and saying things like everything is a ‘hassle’.
•This man can be really clingy at times, and his ability to take a nap whenever and wherever he feels like it, after sleeping 8.5 hours is honestly impressive. Monitoring and analysing his games after plays is probably the hardest task to do as his manager, since with no background knowledge about soccer and a little attention span, he drifts off to sleep way too easily.
•During the preparation for the U20 match, besides Nagi’s routine changing, your duties also pile up leaving no time to nag at him during the day or to snatch his phone away at midnight before his average screen time reaches above his height.
•Nagi, the epitome of laziness, the genius himself also seems to work harder than usual, leaving and arriving to training on time, eating his meals without complaining, and most importantly, paying attention to your explanations during the analysing sessions of his games.
——————
AFTER THE U20 MATCH…
•Nagi changes. From his attitude towards soccer to his passion for gaming, everything changes. He’s become more human. Someone, who has found their goal in life. It scares you in a way, but seeing his face after each game as he leans onto you with a tired sigh and some incomprehensible mumbling, makes you realize he isn’t much different than the Nagi before.
•Changing environments and teammates (aside from Reo ofc) however was new to both of you, but he handled it quite well, leaving you to focus on your work rather than worrying about him being able to fit in.
•To your luck, since he chose Manshine City, tutoring goes smoothly with him already knowing some English words from the games he had played before. Not to mention, he’s smart and a fast learner, so sometimes instead of teaching from thick dictionaries and books, you reward him with an English movie or game marathon, earning yourself a back hug from the player.
•Nagi likes you, he’s happy to have a manager who’s 'not a hassle to deal' with he says. He likes your willingness to participate in his random naps, or when you teach him new things he doesn’t know. He also likes the fact that you turn a blind eye to when he plays a little (a lot) more than he’s allowed to.
•Does he notice that you let some things slip because you kinda like him though? Absolutely not. This mop head is unaware of him leaning way closer to you than normal, invading your personal space on a daily level, or saying things like:
“You can sleep here. I want to finish the movie.” or “Can you slip in some mangas for me? Listening to Chris is boring.” and that one time when he said-“I’m kinda troublesome, but you like me, right?”
•He doesn’t know the effect he has on you (or on his fans). The way your eyes linger on his face when your fingers touch during one of his gaming sessions or the way your body stiffens when he drops his whole weight on you. He’s completely oblivious to your crush on him, but maybe it’s better this way.
•One day, when he finally stops finding everything a hassle other than football and video games, you’ll make sure to let him know about your feelings. For now, you’re content with this friendship. Also, being his manager isn’t a big hassle as you thought it would be.

work today
sales person: I need an updated version of [customer's] purchase report to confirm what is left to purchase.
me: I last updated it less than one business day ago and that version hasn't been completed yet. Refreshing the report now would duplicate lines that weren't bought on Friday and make this messy to work through. Everyone added their buys to Friday's sheet so you can use that to check what was ordered. Also, this report is linked to customer payments so there's no reason to run it again until we receive one. I'm only refreshing it when new payments come in. (<- boundary stated because she often fails to understand that prerequisites must exist for certain files to function correctly.)
sales person: Ok I can use Friday's sheet. But I don't agree that we should chose whether or not to run reports based on payments. We still need to service the customer.
me: I am unsure how this report can be used when we haven't received a payment. Its only purpose is to sum up what the customer paid for. How did you manage this customer before I created this report?
sales person: "No offense, but I don't think [customer] payments have anything to do with running reports they request." <- direct quote
me: This specific report was created purely for matching this customer's purchases to their payments. If the customer is requesting information, I need you to tell me exactly what they want so we can determine the best way to provide the data they want. The data they need likely exists in our customer portal, and using that is a far better option than misusing an existing report for something other than its intended purpose.
(end of ticket)
this was 4 hours ago now and she still hasn't told me what she's trying to do or what the customer wants to see. She later told my boss half of the customer's request without including me though so ??? I had to hear it telephone-style from my boss.
also, she shared old versions of this report with the customer by making copies of my files and sharing the copies. But she saved the copies in my original folder where I could look at them. There are columns that this customer is NOT supposed to see, but rather than deleting them she just hid them. There weren't protected ranges on the sheet either.
Can we please do better.

TwoKinds' Has Too Many Characters
No seriously, it's getting ridiculous!
Somewhat recently I've read TwoKinds. Entirely. As in, <i>the whole thing.</i> Catching up to it's current state in ~2 days. Probably could've crushed it down to a couple hours if I did NOTHING else but read the comic. Didn't do that though, because that would be a miserable experience. (Looking at my phone screen for so long, and the ADHD itching to swap to something else.)
Anyway, it's good! To broadly summarize so far:
Trace Legacy, former "Grand Templar", pulls a western version of Joseph Stalin, seizing power and committing VARIOUS warcrimes. But then the mask god thing "rm -rf /" his brain, completely removing all of his memories. As a result, Trace undergoes character development, becoming a better person. He also relearns his past, and goes about correcting it.
I'm suddenly remembering those "25 Word Summaries" I had to do back in school. Essentially you read some <i>text</i> and then you <i>write a summery.</i> Simple, right? Well, no. Our teachers where ADAMANT with that word limit. Exactly 25 words. <b>EXACTLY.</b> No more, no less, not even a single FUCKING character more or less. There was also weird rules regarding specific contractions "not counting", so you spent 70% of class trying to make the damn summery satisfy the requirements.
There's also the literary analysis based problem where 25 words is <i>just an awkward size for a summary.</i> It has both too much and too little data entropy. Too small to allow any real detail (Trace gets his memory wiped, meets Flora and Keith, mechanisms of dark magic, racial tensions between Humans/Keidrian/Basitins, Kieth banishment thing, ...), but too big to allow a broad general summery (Trace gets his memory wiped, becomes a better person, and confronts his past.)
<a href="https://libguides.greenriver.edu/ld.php?content_id=42876346">Found it!</a> Could of sworn we had to nail EXACTLY 25 words! But I recognize that sheet as being nearly IDENTICAL to the ones I got at school (except for the lack of a grid), but it says right there: "Write a 25-word summary of the short story. (YES - only 25 words or less!)". Also allowing summaries less then 25 words makes the assignment MUCH more reasonable!
Uh.... What was I talking about? Oh yeah! TwoKinds!
My critique stems from the contradiction between how <i>Tom</i> does writing vs how <i>I</i> do writing. Tom's writing is <i>Character driven</i> but my writing is <i>"Systems" driven.</i> World building, essentially.
For fuck sake, I'll spend hours on end walking around brainstorming how the Rats of NIMH would prefer sliding doors over hinged ones because rats are quadrupeds and have evolved to "nudge with their head" as opposed to primates, being bipedal, evolved to "Push, grab, and/or pull with their hands". I'll also spend hours going over <i>Exclusive Economic Zones</i> and fishing rights. (Salmon is a big business!)
I like covering foundational stuff, it's both fun and my strength when it comes to writing. In comparison whenever I do character based writing and go back to review it just feels.... Odd.
Tom is pretty damn good at character based writing. The characters in TwoKinds <i>actually read like people!</i> Heavy emphasis is put on stuff like relationships (both platonic and romantic), how one character reacts to another character doing "a thing", characters judge other characters and try to predict/judge what the other thinks. Characters also grow and change.
This is good! But Tom..... Can't seem to help himself from keeping characters around.
There's this bit very early on where Trace, Flora, and Kieth all get intercepted by a duo of assassins (Zen and Natani). The assassins get pushed back but Natani tags along because he was seriously wounded and... Honor codes? I don't know. I like Natani, but honestly? He really didn't need to tag along.
As Trace and friends leave the Basitian island Kieth's state appointed assistant and Madeline just.... <i>Sneak onto Eric's ship!</i> This feels like a bit of an on-the-fly retcon. Kieth, being the ambassador to the Basitian state, makes sense from a story aspect: Contrast the strict Basitian cultural norms with Kieth's loosened values. But Tom might of inserted this after the ship left dock so he made him sneak onto the ship off page.
I don't think I need to explain why "stowawaying" your foreign public officials is a really REALLY bad idea.
And then there's Madeline. Comic relief character who also sneaks onboard off page. She works well as a comic relief! <i>Until she gets a more serious backstory later.</i> Just.... WHY!?
How about Red and friends? Honest to god I thought Trace's old friends where one time side characters.
Fun fact: No.
Instead, Red and friends become the <i>B Plot.</i> Sythe inadvertently pisses his superior officers off and <i>WHOOPS NOW HE HAS TO JOIN TEAM RED AND TAG ALONG!</i> Yet another permanent side character my dumbass autistic brain has to keep track of!
Then Zen is tasked with assassinating "Team Red" for reasons I now forget. But <i>WHOOPSIES!</i> We can't let anyone die and the mental link with Natani so now Zen tags alongside Team Red.
And then Clovis shows up. He turns into a dragon, unlinks Zen and Natani, and then get's his ass kicked. I am aware of the <i>lore</i> behind Clovis, but his inclusion is somewhat oddball from perspective of the main story.
As of the 19th of December 2024 there's this giant ass main cast consisting of everyone from Eric's old slaves (including his sex slave), Rose's magic ghost thing, to the entirety of Team Red.
----
But why am I complaining? Well, I feel like Tom could've focused more on world building.
As part of the current Canis-Sapian war the humans and tigers team up. The Grand Templar emancipates their tiger slaves and the tigers agree to not go to war against the humans (or maybe they ally with the humans).
This.... Doesn't make any real sense. Why would the tigers (who are Keidran) ally with the humans (who oppress them)? Why would the Grand Templar emancipate some of their slaves?
The way I read it, the Templar arose out of the contradiction between humans enslaving Keidrans, they are somewhat an arm of the state, an "A Special Body of Armed Men". (If you can't tell, I'm pulling a Marxism Leninism on TwoKinds.)
The Templar's economic underpinnings are the ruling, oppressing, human slave owning class, and we see evidence of this in the comic! It's members are hostile to Keidran, some of them own slaves, and ultra reactionaries like old Trace might be disliked but are <i>tolerated</i> and even allowed to wield power if it serves the interests of the ruling class.
For the Templar to make such limited reform there must be a damn good reason for it. Unfortunately the comic doesn't explore this, which is really unfortunate, it would make an excellent plot line!
Perhaps revolting slaves pressured the state to emancipate some of them to calm the situation down. In response the slave owning class enact a "Capital Strike". The masters refuse to release the slaves, the surplus created by the slaves is withheld from the markets, causing economic shock via artificial scarcity. This whole mess leaks over to the "Tiger Territory" and the Tiger Keidran threaten military intervention as a result.
It's a missed opportunity to flesh out the world more.

Making of Monday - Tracking Word Counts
On Making of Monday, we share behind the scenes of one of our works past, present, or future. All the little things that would fit into a DVD bonus content section: cut scenes, outlines, director's writer's commentary, or basically any thing that didn't make it into the final version. Send me an ask if you're interested in knowing little details about any particular fic!
This week, I decided to show my word count spreadsheet that I've been meticulously using and crafting for coming up on two years now. It wasn't built in a day, and I'm almost constantly tweaking it to make it look nice and functional as I keep writing.
Uh, fair warning. This is not a very exciting post. Unless you like numbers and data, like I do.
Tumblr media
For the sake of my own sanity, I started a new Excel document for the new year. This is my Summary page for the year 2024. I have pages created already for each month but hide them when it isn't that month. I'll show the Overview page next after I've explained what you're looking at.
So what you see here is my monthly and annual writing totals. This only takes into account new words written, although the start number at the top of each yearly column includes my running word count. Each month's number is automatically updated from the corresponding month's page, and added up in the total column.
On the side, I have fun projections. So if I wanted to write x number of words per year, not counting the words I have already written, I would need to write y number of words per month with an average of z number of words per day. It's not something I pay too much attention to, just for fun. Below that is a projection of if I write the NaNoWriMo daily count (1667 words per day) or 1000 words per day, how much that would add up to at the end of the year.
Tumblr media
This is the Overview page from last year (2023) plus December 2022 which is when I switched over from my previous Google Sheets document. Additionally at the bottom you can see the different monthly pages that are not hidden (I color coded them because I was bored one day).
This page keeps track of my daily totals in the form of a color gradient, linked to the monthly pages to get the totals.
Solid Red = 0
Solid Yellow = 1000
Solid Green = 1667 (NaNoWriMo Daily; 50,000 words in a 30 day month)
Originally, the idea was to be able to look at it and see if there were time periods that I wasn't writing as well due to being busy for various reasons, so I could be able to predict in the future what conditions weren't great for writing. But an interesting side effect is it's also able to track my good days and my bad days for health reasons.
That random number you see on the right side is my highest daily word count. I was curious about it, but I couldn't figure out a way to make it look pretty and fit in with everything else.
Tumblr media
This is my month page, divided by each individual project. Y is series or event with multiple fics involved, Z is one-shots, two-shots, or very short fics. The greyed out ones at the top are ones I'm not actively working on, the ones in green are fics that I am either actively working on or trying to work on.
Also at the top are the new words added each month (which is the cell used in other pages to keep track of the monthly number), the total words in all my documents, and the daily average for the month.
The color gradient at the top for each day follows the same pattern as before; Solid Red = 0, Solid Yellow = 1000, Solid Green = 1667+
I keep track of the word count for each chapter, add the total, subtract it from the previous day, and boom, that's my daily total. If there are times where I delete things, I throw it into a document called "Binned" to balance the numbers. That way, I never subtract from the amount of words I've written, only add.
While it may look like a very simple sheet, it is very messy with formulas, conditional formatting, etc. If I were more skilled at Excel, I could probably improve it even more, but at this point, there's very little maintenance needed to keep it going and I can focus on actually writing.
In theory.

The Lord of the Underworld and His Lady of Spring Part 5
Tumblr media
Back at Styx headquarters, the tests and examinations are about to begin, but first, Riddle, Vil, Azul, Jamil, and Leona learn a bit more about Styx and its operations in this addition to the HPHM x Twisted Wonderland AU!
“Ugh,” Vil groaned once he and the other boys were placed in their subject uniforms and collars, “Excuse me Idia but why must we be sprayed down with a GLORIFIED GARDEN HOSE!? And you didn’t even offer moisture! What kind of place is this?”
Jamil sighed, “Now I know what it’s like to be a car going through a car wash.”
“Or a set of sheets in the washer and dryer.” Riddle added, crossing his arms.
“And then it had the audacity to spray into my ears.” Leona groaned, “I’m still squicked out from that.”
“Normally I’d prize efficiency.” Azul admitted, “But that crosses the line!”
“Really!?” Ortho exclaimed, “All the staff love it! They say it makes showers take no time at all.”
“I say it is quite refreshing.” Helena seconded Ortho.
“Of course Idia’s mindless girlfriend would say that.” Leona groaned.
“I see these chokers have the same effect as my signature spell.” Riddle observed, “I haven’t been able to perform any type of magic.”
“Sorry about that.” Ortho apologized, “It is for everyone’s safety and for the sake of accurate data collection.”
“Wait.” Idia’s eyes widened, “Riddle’s been trying to use magic, we can’t take our eyes off of any of them…” he cleared his throat, “Ahem, anyways not that you have been decontaminated, here is a short welcome video for Styx, Ortho play the tape!”
“Already on it!” Ortho cheered
~~~
Leona turned to Idia once the film finished, “So what horrific experiments do you have in mind?”
Idia chuckled menacingly, “First I’m going to strap you so you can’t move, then examine you with a bunch of probes, to score some sweet data about stress and the build up of blot.”
“Wha…” Riddle looked horrified.
“Idia!” Helena scolded him, “Don’t scare them like that!”
“Surely these normies didn’t think I was serious.” Idia shot back, “Can’t they get a joke?”
“In all fairness it wasn’t remotely funny.” Azul pointed out.
“They are right.” Ortho agreed, “Idia they are already upset! We shouldn’t make it worse!”
“At least Ortho and Helena exhibit some compassion.” Vil sighed.
“Besides.” Ortho enlightened Idia, “Raising the levels of stress won’t give us accurate results.”
“Never mind, I take that back.” Vil quickly remarked, “Ortho is just like his brother.”
“The point is.” Ortho explained, “You are all highly valuable since you didn’t get consumed by the phantom when you all overblotted.”
“What are phantoms?” Vil asked.
“When you overblot, the excess blot spills out and takes a giant form, aka the faceless monsters that appeared behind you.” Idia revealed and waited in silence before continuing. “Those are phantoms. You were not yourselves then so it’s hard to know how much any of you registered. But when you overbloted you could extend your reserves because of those phantoms. What normally is a debuff becomes a buff! Which is why eventually the phantoms consume their victims if people don’t step in.”
“They were quite large, all of them.” Helena added, “I recall them quite clearly when me and my sister were helping bringing you back down to earth.”
“Most of the time we can capture the phantoms but some can blend in with direbeasts.” Idia continued.
“I knew the basics of that but the extended version is hard to believe.” Azul admitted.
“Thing is, only capable mages can overblot.” Idia pointed out. “About as rare as rolling 4 SSRs on a single ten pull! Yet despite that there were five overblots in a single semester!
“So we were brought for research…” Jamil took note of the obvious. “Were you the one who issued the order Idia?”
“Uhh…” Idia stammered,
“That is classified information!” Ortho shouted.
“Let’s just say Styx has scouts all over the world...” Helena simplified for the boys.
"Wait…" Vil's eyes widened, "Does that mean you are trying to use blot!?”
“It’s not that surprising.” Idia sighed. “Sustainability is a hot topic right now and blot could be the answer, when it comes to magic that is. We consider Blot a valuable reason rather than a waste product. And we gotta recycle what we can right?”
Jamil’s eyes narrowed, “An energy resource huh.”
“That is how you are justifying kidnapping.” Leona growled. “Real noble operation you guys got here.”
“I know you are all mad.” Ortho observed, “But none of you want to overblot again right? Or to be manipulated by a phantom? Accepting our help can allow to prevent that.”
“Indeed.” Helena seconded, “Styx HQ has the best labs in the world. The readings are accurate and detailed.”
Vil eyed them closely, “What an enticing sales pitch, Azul should take notes. But what’s the catch? If we don’t participate you won’t let us leave?”
“Look, listening will get you out of here easy.” Idia doges the question, “Let’s just start with the paperwork, and make it snappy we don’t have all day.”
~~~
Idia sighed, “That took so long, can’t believe they nick picked every detail. But at least that’s done. Everything else is set up as well. Now to split the subjects into two teams. We can start with Subjects A, C, and E, and then transition into testing Subjects B and D.” He turned to Riddle, Azul, and Vil, “Ortho will take you to the sim room.” Then he turned to Jamil and Leona, “Wait here until your tests begin. Helena and I are going to step out but use the intercom if you need anything.”
“Yo acting director.” Leona spoke casually, “can we at least get a snack menu?”
“Ugh.” Idia groaned, “Classic Leona, but that is not an option.” He finished before walking out of the room with Helena by his side, with Leona only continuing to mutter what were surely insults.
“Acting Director.” One of the Charon guards approached, “What shall Subject F’s examination be? The medical team reports he is still asleep.”
“Subject F…” Idia recalled, “Ah yes, Grim. I’m afraid the kitty has too many variables. And his command of magic is rather mediocre, running him through sims might be a waste of time.”
“Let him sleep for now.” Helena requested, “And let me and the Acting Director know the second he awakens.”
“Roger.” The guard confirmed, before leaving to fulfill his orders.
“Let’s go Helena.” Idia turned to her, “We need to get to HQ, Ortho likely has the guys all ready in the Simulation Room, and we shouldn’t keep him waiting…”

Step 1: Install Tally on Your System
Visit the official Tally Solutions website.
Look for the Download Tally or Tally License section.
Download the latest version — TallyPrime.
Run the setup file and follow the installation instructions.

Step 2: Activate Your License
Launch TallyPrime after installation.
If you’ve purchased a license, enter your serial number and activation key.
If not, you can use the 30-day free trial to explore the software before buying.
Tip: Not sure whether to go with a Single User (Silver) or Multi-User (Gold) license? Izoe helps you choose the right one and assists with activation too.
Step 3: Create a Company Profile
Press Alt + F3 from the dashboard and select Create Company.
Fill in basic details: company name, financial year, address, etc.
Save the profile to begin working.
Step 4: Set Up Ledgers and Accounts
Go to Accounts Info → Ledgers → Create.
Start with essential ledgers like Cash, Bank, Sales, Purchases, and Expenses.
Group them appropriately to make future reporting simpler.
Step 5: Add Inventory (if applicable)
Navigate to Inventory Info to set up stock items.
Create item categories, units of measurement, and GST rates.
Add opening stock values if needed.
Step 6: Start Recording Transactions
Tally uses vouchers to record every transaction.
Go to Accounting Vouchers (press V on the main screen).
Choose a voucher type like Sales, Receipt, Payment, or Journal.
Fill in the details and save the entry.
Step 7: Check Your Financial Reports
One of the reasons Tally is so powerful is its ability to generate real-time reports.
Use the Display Menu to access reports like Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Stock Summary, and GST Returns.
These are updated instantly based on the data you’ve entered.
A Quick Note
Now that you’ve seen how simple it is to get started with Tally, let’s talk about the most searched topics around it — especially related to downloads, free versions, and licenses.
Many users get confused when they look for terms like “Tally download for free” or “Tally full version free download”. Some even end up installing cracked or outdated files that compromise both data and system safety.
Conclusion
There’s no doubt that tally prime is one of the most reliable accounting tools out there — but starting with it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
At iZoe, we make it easier by helping you:

(kind of) Mind Dump: COVID Magazine Article I Made For College
(above links are the deviantart uploads. first link is just the display of the work, second is a version with the article text.)
long text summary: for my college class, i made a magazine article about the covid-19 pandemic with indesign, photoshop and word. i believe a resource like this should be free and accessible, so here is a pdf link to print it out and a link to the process. yes, the process is on a wix website, as we need to use that to display our work in this course.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
open for long text, including how to print the pdf as an a3 sheet and what it will look like printed.
this was my final project for college this year. it is an article about the covid-19 pandemic and the fifth anniversary of the start of lockdown. i am proud of this and thought it would be nice to publicly share.
i conducted a survey on my class to get ideas on what i should include most and receive covid experiences from them. i researched magazine article designs and covers, researched basic covid facts and statistics, took photos (yes, all of those masks and the rainbow painting are mine) and made this a hypothetical feature of a hypothetical magazine brand. i made a logo for the hypothetical magazine using a knitted hedgehog i found at my bus stop as the mascot. the process for building and creating this took 10 weeks, or 30 college days.
featuring my usual bus brainrot, a roxanne wolf plush and a karen.
i also thought it would be nice to print a physical copy. i used an a3 size, made the back cover (literally just the background of the front cover) set it up in word, printed it off and trimmed the edges. i also thought that i should let others print it, so if you would also like to print one, or would like to see it more clearly, the pdf link is at the top. to print, choose "a3", if the printer supports it, and "print on both sides - flip on short edge".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i will update with my grade.
also at the top is my website (yes, we need to use wix to display our work) that displays my process of creating this. this is not the original graded wix, but a public-friendly version without all of my personal information and tabs for convenience.
made with adobe indesign (base magazine), photoshop (illustrations) and word (text drafts).
article text, if you would prefer to read it here:
Five years ago…
In this issue of Looking Back, we detail the main occurrences of 2020. If you, at any point during this time, had doubts about the pandemic existing, this article is for you.
Introduction: As everyone reading this will know, coronavirus became a global pandemic in late March of 2020. This was five years ago now, and the world has come far since then. In roughly 20-50 years from now, the new generations will start being taught about COVID-19 in school because they would not have been alive to experience it, similarly to how our generations were not alive to experience the historical topics we were taught about. In this article, we will remember the virus and the events, regulations and restrictions that came with it.
Tests and vaccines: In the UK alone, 24,910,387 COVID cases were recorded, with 232,112 deaths and 22,954,691 recoveries. This data was gathered from worldometers.info. Tests to detect the virus were made and able to be completed at testing sites. This first test method was referred to as polymerase chain reaction, or PCR. An NHS app was released in September 2020 to mark COVID cases and inform the user if they had come into contact with an infected person. In April 2021, a different type of COVID test called rapid lateral flow was released for the public to take at home in a similar method to the PCR. The tests were successful in detecting cases and many people took them when necessary. In a survey conducted, most people that took them thought that both tests provided accurate results. Vaccines were first introduced on 8th December and, in the first year alone, almost 120 million doses were administered, with over 3,000 vaccination sites open. Along with the boosters, these vaccines were proven very effective. This information was gathered from gov.uk.
Isolation experience:  For many months, strict restrictions were put into place to prevent further spread of the virus. During this time, all young people had to be homeschooled, adults had to work from home and many online events took place over this period. It was at this point that we acknowledged the hard work that the key workers put in, especially the NHS, and chose to honour them by applauding and banging pots and pans out in the streets weekly and making posters. I painted my own poster to honour the NHS. I conducted my own survey on my class about experiences during the pandemic. The results:
Everyone said that they did not believe COVID was fake.
Deciding the topics to include here, tests and vaccines was the highest voted.
¾ of the responders said that COVID affected them or anyone close to them personally.
Asking for details about the experiences. Before using them here, I made sure to obtain consent from the responders that provided experiences, giving the option for them to remain anonymous or directly referred to, which was question 5. The following are some of the responses I received.
“Feels like the flu” – Luke S “It was a hard time for everyone” – anon “Well my experience with COVID was that I never had to worry because I never caught it but some of my family members did so had to be careful around them and support them throughout them having it” – Mark R
Thank you to everyone in my class that participated in this survey, including my tutors, and submitted experiences to use.
Masks and other restrictions: From the start of the lockdown, the social distancing restriction and hand washing and sanitising guidance were discussed and implemented. From June 2020 to January 2022, face masks were required to be worn in public spaces. There were exemptions with people with certain disabilities and primary-aged children. Acceptable forms of masks included surgical masks and cloth masks, which many often made themselves. They came in a range of colourful designs and could have disposable or in-built filters. In the banner, you can see all the masks that I own and used over COVID and a plush toy demonstrating how to wear one correctly, as well as an avatar of a woman wearing one incorrectly. Most of mine have filter pockets.
COVID deniers: While most people followed the government guidance and rules, there were many that refused to. This was due to individual beliefs and preferences but also influence from extremism. These people took action by meeting with others, not wearing masks and protesting. Surveys were conducted to find the disbelievers, who were mostly from the US, unsurprisingly. They believed that masks were made a requirement “in order for the government to control humanity” and that vaccines “change DNA.” Surprisingly, however, when a survey was conducted in Greece, it revealed that under 30s were more likely to disbelieve COVID than over 30s.
Conclusion: In conclusion, the coronavirus pandemic was a very challenging time for the world. Many loved ones were lost, many negative thoughts, certain behaviours creating worse problems and the situation felt never-ending. However, among it all, we came out feeling relief that had been held back, and we survived it. Even if we lost hundreds of thousands, they will always be remembered in the minds and hearts of those that cared. If you are reading this and you had doubts about this global event, I hope I have provided enough evidence to prove your thoughts otherwise.

What Are the Basic Steps to Learn Web Development? – Web Technology Experts India
Web development is one of the most important skills for today's digital era. Whether it is about developing a personal blog or creating an eCommerce platform or producing custom websites for clients, web development will always open doors to an endless stream of opportunities. As a best web development company in India, we, at Web Technology Experts, will take you through the simple steps that begin the process of web development. These simple steps will guide any beginner in making professional websites or even use a website builder to manage small business websites.
______________________________________
Step 1: Know the Essentials of Web Development
To begin with learning about web development, it is very important to understand the main concepts:
• Frontend Development: It refers to the visual and interactive parts of a website, including buttons, menus, and layouts.
• Backend Development: This refers to server-side logic, databases, and application functionality.
• Full-Stack Development: This combines both frontend and backend skills.
Getting yourself aware of how sites are built and why people need to do web development is critical. Many tools to create sites for small business take a great deal of front-end process from your shoulders but know what code actually looks like so you are prepared ahead of others in this race
_________________________________________
Step 2: Know about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript form the core of any web development:.
• CSS (Cascading Style Sheets): CSS determines the design and layout, which includes colors, fonts, and spacing.
• JavaScript: This programming language adds interactivity to the website, like form validations and dynamic elements.
These three are necessary for beginners. Once you are able to handle these, then you can delve into more complex topics such as frameworks and libraries.
_____________________________________
Step 3: Exploring Version Control and Git
As you progress, understanding version control systems like Git is important. Git allows you to track changes in your code and collaborate with others. Platforms like GitHub are widely used in the industry and can also help you showcase your projects to potential employers or clients. At Web Technology Experts, our developers rely heavily on Git for smooth project management.
________________________________________
Step 4: Dive into Backend Development
To learn backend development, you should know server-side languages and databases. Some popular backend languages include:
• PHP: This is easy to learn and commonly used for small business website builders.
• Python: This is perfect for beginners due to its very readable syntax.
• Node.js: You can use JavaScript for the server-side with this language.
Moreover, knowledge of databases like MySQL and MongoDB is essential for efficient management and retrieval of data. Such skills are highly valued by the best web development companies.
________________________________________
Step 5: Practice with Projects
The only way to learn web development is by actually developing it practically. Start small by:
• Creating a personal portfolio website
• Building a blog platform
• Developing a basic eCommerce site.
Using website builders for small business can also be a great way to gain insights into pre-designed templates and their functionalities. Experimenting with such tools can help you understand user-friendly design principles and backend integrations.
________________________________________
Step 6: Learn Frameworks and Libraries
Frameworks and libraries simplify coding and speed up the development process. Some popular ones include:
• Frontend Frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Backend Frameworks: Laravel (for PHP), Django (for Python), or Express (for Node.js).
These are the tools most top web development companies rely on to deliver scalable and efficient projects.
________________________________________
Step 7: Responsive Design
With the growing use of mobile devices, responsiveness is no longer optional. Learn how to make websites mobile-friendly using:
• CSS frameworks like Bootstrap.
• Media queries for custom layouts.
We are among the best web development companies, and we ensure all websites that we will make are responsive to meet the client's expectations and to provide better user experience.
_______________________________________
Step 8: Understand SEO and Performance Optimization
A successful website is not only appealing in looks. Its success often resides in its usage of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and performance optimization:
• Clean and semantic HTML will be used for enhanced SEO.
• Images and scripts to optimize page loads.
• Study tools such as Google Page Speed Insights to evaluate and optimize your site.
Website builders may include some elementary SEO capabilities for small business owners, but being advanced will give you more management over your site's presence.
________________________________________
Step 9: Participate and Stay Ahead of the Curve
Web development is changing every day. Online communities such as Stack Overflow or GitHub will allow you to:
• Get past coding problems.
• Connect with other developers.
• Be updated on the latest trends and tools.
________________________________________
Step 10: Build a Professional Portfolio
Lastly, make a portfolio that displays your work. Whether you built custom sites or used website builders for small businesses, your portfolio should demonstrate your skills and creativity. This is an essential step if you are to become part of a leading web development company or start your own business.
________________________________________
Conclusion
Learning how to develop web applications requires strong commitment, practice, and continuous learning. Following these simplified steps will help you establish a good foundation and gradually build your skills from the basics. You can begin simple, be it an easy-to-medium level project, or work your way into developing skills to enter a top web development company. If you require professional services or want to discover new ideas, Web Technology Experts India is here to provide a helping hand. I’ve enjoyed this time over the last 6 years here on FB/Instagram sharing the photos and backstories. Perhaps a small peak behind the curtain but also for myself, a large data dump of information, which needed to be purged before it’s too late. Mostly, I’m pleased that the main purpose and some of the key details have not been forgotten. Part of the journey toward why a photographer makes the choices he/she does is to occasionally show contact sheets from the past. Brutal editing IS the process here, especially with this particular little look into ‘The Eraser’ promo shoot for Mojo. This puzzle piece ended up being the opening spread. To help set the scene, I was scrambling around this giant sound stage searching for whatever lighting I could find when I stumbled on 4 old school theatre lights. The old boys used to call them ‘hot lights’ for a reason. If you don’t wear gloves when handling them your hands would get burned. Burnt hands, not Ideal for holding a camera. These lights were not exactly what I was after, but for this idea it would work perfectly. I used to use a smaller version of these by ARRI in London, NYC and Los Angeles for years. Worked really well for those ‘coloured gel’ shots of the late 80’s and early 90’s. Viewing the first Polaroid of our set-up got a big thumbs up from Thom and we were off and shooting. Seems like yesterday.
 For it’s time, this one, usually seen in a bright red colour has been a mainstay of most all my shows and exhibitions since first shot in May of 2006. It was instantly recognizable and used on the poster for my second ever show in Antwerpen in June of 2007. Well, on this day we probably shot 6 rolls of colour to perfect various positions of the lighting and make sure I got the best angle and exposure possible. The mix was; a couple cinema hot lights, some gels and a Kino tube. As these were the film days still for me, I always usually shot at least one roll of the opposite film stock to have just in case. Yesterday, I found the one roll of BW film I had shot of this right at the end of our set up and now, it’s worth a second look just to show the graphic quality of the image in general and why I must have decided on this as a worthy option. Now, 17 years later somehow it’s taken on a new life also because the drastic differences in tone, contrast and detail make it a keeper.

WHAT IS A PIVOT TABLE AND WHAT IT REALLY DOES TO DATA?
Pivot tables are really one of the great strengths of Excel and they've been a part of Excel for many years. They continued to be improved in every new version of Excel that's being released. What a pivot table allows you to do at a high level is analyze data really effectively. If we have a large data set in Excel and you put it into a pivot table, we will instantly be able to gain much more flexibility in terms of how you can look at that data vs. just having it in a static table. You can essentially move the fields or column headings around and view your data in lots of different ways really quickly and easily. All this might not make much Sense to you at this stage but it will become clearer as we go through some examples.
    THINGS, YOU MUST KNOW:
Before we directly get into the concept of pivot tables, we just want to take all of you through some rules and some guidelines with regards to the type of data that is suitable for a pivot table. Just because of the reason that, not all data is suitable for a pivot table. The best kind of data that suits the pivot table is transactional data.
What we actually mean by transactional data isn't necessarily to do with financial transactions. It can be any kind of data, where each record corresponds to a measurement of something.
For example: It could be a record of a sale in a store or maybe it might be something like a measurement for the amount of rain on a particular day.
2. Your data must be organized. It must be one record per row.
3. Pivot tables really don't work well with blank rows. If you will be having data with black rows or in unorganized manner, you need to make sure that the data is consistent and remove any blank rows.
4. We won’t be able to work with pivot table, if we will be having blank cells in our data. If there is any, we used to a put a 0 in. So that it's not left blank.
5. The most important thing you need to know before learning how to use pivot table is that your information or your data must have column headers. Pivot tables utilize column headings heavily.
6. There is one more thing that we like to always advise you is to put your data into a table prior to creating your pivot table. Now, you might think looking at your data is already being in a table format. Because this grid structure in Excel has a kind of like a table structure and may confuse us.
Tumblr media
There is a command on the home ribbon “format as table” and you can pick any one you like. It will then put your data into a table and that's useful for a number of reasons which will become clear as we go further.
We will just going to click somewhere in our data and go to “format as table”. After doing so, what Excel will do is it will say “where is the data for your table” and it basically picks up all of the data surrounding the click. We've got a tick in the box that says my table has headers.
Tumblr media
Hit, OK button.
Now, let us get into the main stream.
Pivot tables automatically summarize your data for you. So, you can slice and dice it in a million different ways. You can forget about creating lots of summary calculations.
Let Excel do the work for you.
We're looking at our order sheet here and our sample file.
Tumblr media
The first thing that we might want to do is take a look at what we might be interested in in knowing and how we might want to summarize this data. For example: we might want to know sales or quantity by product number.
Now, what we can do is we can go over to the insert tab and click either the blank pivot table option or recommended pivot tables.
Tumblr media
We'll start with recommended pivot tables, so that you can see what that looks like.
What Excel does in the pop-up that appears is give you a few different options for how you might want to summarize the data. This is an example: “Price by product number”: we might not be as interested in that here are some another ways of summarizing data as well.
Tumblr media
We will be actually starting with a blank pivot table.
For this, we'll go back to the insert tab and click on pivot table.
Tumblr media
A pop-up appears that basically asked us, if we want to insert this into a new worksheet or an existing worksheet.
Tumblr media
We'll just click “OK” and then there appears a new sheet.
On the left hand side which is highlighted is your blank pivot table space and on the right hand side is your list of fields in the original table and areas on your pivot table.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We have got filters, columns, rows and values on the bottom right corner.
To see how this works, the first thing that we'll try to do is just select our total cost button and what this is going to do is move that total costs field over to the values area in our pivot table.
You can see that, all it is just summing all of the total costs in the previous sheet.
Tumblr media
Now, to add some dimension to our pivot table, we will actually take the order category to rows.
This is going to put the order categories in rows and tell us how much sales we have for each of those order categories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's just a way to slice the data up for us.
We will just trying to analyze our data with different perspectives.
Now, uncheck order category and let us see costs by product number.
Drag product number down to the rows and we will see that total cost column and broken up those costs by product number.
Tumblr media
 Just clear your table for the next analysis and start fresh.
We're going to take a look at quantity.
Move quantity over to the values field and this will going to sum all of the quantity that we've sold.
Tumblr media
We can take our product number drag that down to the rows and this is going to tell us the quantity that we've sold by product number. Because, we've got product number in the rows and our quantity is in the value section.
Tumblr media
Okay, one thing that we can do too is add an additional field into our rows area and we'll put order category right before the product number and can switch the order as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is going to group or separate our quantity sold by the order category and then by the product just another way again to slice up our data and you can actually add as many fields as you want to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Move over that order category to the columns and product numbers in the rows.This will not only tell us by product number but also by order category that how many we've sold. This is really going to be helpful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving order category over the filters section. This allows us to filter our quantity sold by order category.
Tumblr media
We'll just select multiple items and then we want to take a look maybe at small and normal orders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This will filter down all of our quantity sold by small and normal orders and then by product numbers in those rows.
So, you can start to see how many different ways there are to start exploring your data.
We can actually also change our headers just to make it a little bit easier.
Tumblr media
We can also go to the design tab and it gives us different options to format our pivot table.
Tumblr media
Another thing that we can do is, we can right click the values and then sort it by largest to smallest. So that, we can easily see which ones were the top three sold and which ones were the bottom three by sorting it and making it easier for you all.
Tumblr media
Being a beginner, this is what you all can try to do in Excel with pivot table.
This might seem a bit tricky in starting to read and analyze the data in pivot table but, it really simplifies a lot of data to greater extent.
Keep your learning curve constant.

Revolutionizing Blogging: Blogrify's Journey to Success
The journey of building Blogrify has been an exhilarating roller coaster ride for me and the rest of the team. It all started with a simple idea: streamlining the blogging process with AI to make content creation easier and more personal. Honestly, my initial concept was far from polished. The very first version was built using Google Sheets. We had a crude setup where users could input their content, and it would be processed into blog posts. It was a humble but essential starting point.
In those early days, Google Sheets felt like a playground where we tested the basic premise. Our aim was to move quickly, iterate frequently, and see what worked. However, it didn't take long for us to hit the limitations of using such a basic tool for our ambitions.
Moving to More Sophisticated Platforms
Realizing we needed a more robust system, we transitioned to more advanced platforms like Caspio. Let me tell you, the switch was night and day. Caspio gave us a versatile database program with these things called data pages. Essentially, they're like forms you can embed on a website. This allowed us to create a much more dynamic and user-friendly experience. Users could now log in, see all their scheduled content, edit it, and publish it with just a few clicks.
I remember the first time we rolled out this new version to a few test clients. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and it felt like we had finally hit on something special. However, the journey was far from over. Transitioning from a primitive setup to a sophisticated platform is not just about adding features; it’s also about addressing bugs and refining the user experience. I spent nearly 50% of my days bug fixing. Despite the headaches, it was gratifying to see the product evolve.
The Challenges and Feats
Building Blogrify was not without its challenges. One of the significant ones was personalizing the AI to fit the clients' needs precisely. Given that AI doesn't know everything about a user, ensuring the text felt authentic and valuable was a tough nut to crack. We had to feed the AI different kinds of prompts and continuously refine its algorithms to get the best results. In essence, every hurdle made us better.
Around the same time, we started exploring different avenues. We looked into how our technology could also convert audio files, like podcasts, into written blog posts automatically. Imagine uploading a podcast episode and getting a ready-made blog post that captures the essence of the conversation. We even toyed with creating AI voices to generate podcasts from written prompts. That was a whole different beast, but the potential was exciting.
Marketing and Growth
We knew we had a solid product, but the next critical step was letting people know it existed. Marketing strategies came into play. We developed a three-tier pricing system: $25, $50, and $75. For as low as $25, clients could get three posts a week. It was a steal considering the time and cost savings. Before long, we had our first few clients. They were small companies, friends of our CEO, but they loved the product and saw immediate value in it. It was a moment of validation for all of us.
We also took part in various networking events to get the word out. One memorable event was a FIFA networking event. Our CEO Qua was lobbying hard to get Blogrify recognized within the landscape, especially since the 2026 FIFA World Cup final will be held in New Jersey. Although not many people visited our stand, the experience was priceless. It felt good to represent Blogrify and talk about something I genuinely believed in.
Another breakthrough was moving away from our initial company name, which was, quite frankly, pretty lame. Qua came up with the name Blogrify, and it resonated instantly. Within a week, we had set up a new website and all our social media pages. We also began using Blogrify for our own content, which was both practical and a testament to our confidence in the product.
Fast forward to now, and we've rolled out version four of Blogrify. We have over 16 clients and counting, which is pretty impressive considering we started just ten weeks ago. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we've come. What began as a primitive concept on Google Sheets has grown into a sophisticated, multi-functional platform that helps various brands and individuals create compelling content.
With new features and continuous improvement on the horizon, the future looks promising for Blogrify. Personally, this journey has been an excellent learning experience, one that’s taught me the value of perseverance and adaptation. As I approach the end of my internship, I’m excited about what’s next. There's talk of a part-time position at KVIBE, and honestly, I'd love to continue working on Blogrify and reach even greater heights.
The journey from concept to launch has been a whirlwind, but it's one I wouldn’t trade for anything. Here’s to many more innovations and breakthroughs as we continue to improve and grow Blogrify.

Difference Between SAP HR And SAP HCM
Tumblr media
SAP HR vs. SAP HCM: Understanding the Evolution
SAP’s Human Resource (HR) solutions have been a cornerstone of enterprise resource planning (ERP) for decades. The terminology can be confusing—you’ll hear the terms “SAP HR” and “SAP HCM” used, sometimes interchangeably. So what’s the difference, and why does it matter?
The Origins: SAP HR
SAP HR began as a traditional management module within the broader SAP ERP suite. Its focus was primarily on administrative and personnel management tasks, including:
Payroll: Accurately calculate and process employee pay.
Time Management: Tracking employee work hours, attendance, and absences.
Organizational Management (OM): Maintaining organizational structures, hierarchies, and reporting lines.
Personnel Administration (PA): Storing core employee data, contracts, and records.
The Evolution: SAP HCM
SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) represented a significant shift in how SAP approached HR software. It moved from pure personnel administration to a more strategic, talent-centric approach. Fundamental changes with SAP HCM include:
Talent Management: New modules focused on recruiting, onboarding, performance, and learning management.
Self-Service Functionality: Introducing Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) portals gives employees and managers more control over their information and streamlines processes.
Global Capabilities: Enhancements for multi-country organizations with features like concurrent employment and international payroll.
Web-based Architecture: Built on the SAP NetWeaver platform, enabling a more user-friendly interface and web-based access.

So, Does ‘SAP HR’ Even Exist Anymore?
Technically, yes. The core modules that made up the original SAP HR suite still exist. However, SAP HCM is essentially the superset – an upgraded, more robust solution encompassing everything SAP HR did.
Why This Matters
Implementation Choices: When exploring SAP for HR functions, you’ll likely look at an SAP HCM solution. As a standalone piece, SAP HR is often found in older implementations.
Understanding Functionality: If your company uses an older SAP system, you might hear “SAP HR,” but be aware that there may be talent management features you’re not utilizing due to the older module structure.
Staying Current: SAP’s focus and development are on HCM, primarily with its cloud-based solution, SAP SuccessFactors. If using SAP HR, consider upgrading to gain the extended capabilities.
In Conclusion
Think of SAP HCM as the evolved, more powerful version of SAP HR. While the fundamental concepts remain similar, HCM brings in the broader strategic focus that modern HR departments demand.
