oh my goddd i had this dream last night that i was playing this indie game and it was really neat
in it you play as this pinkish-white batlike creature, and the game starts with it being a cute, fuzzy little cat-sized baby. that'd be like the tutorial level and you play as it learning to climb in this overgrown post-apocalyptic city (but i think it was entirely focused on one building)
as you advance through the game the creature gets bigger and more monstrous, and it gets better and better at scaling the building. idk how to describe it adequately but it looked fucking sick alright? and there were mechanics in place where if you got too cocky you'd fall down quite a ways. also the building went up possibly forever (i never got to the top. it just kept going)
by the time the creature reaches above the clouds, it's really more of a white, mammalian wyvern than it is a bat, and it's like. SPRINTING up the side of the building, clutching either side of it with its wing-thumbs. by the end of where i got, it was about as big as the building was wide, and truly started to look like some kind of dragon climbing its tower.
the whole point of the game was just to climb. like that was what the story was. the bigger you got, the easier it was to climb. when you're tiny, you can barely get off the ground but then you're doing like complicated parkour but by the end you're just GOING. and the only thing that can inhibit your ascent is your own hubris, as you'd have to travel up in bursts at a time or else you'd fall down a bit, and it was random each time exactly how long you could go without stopping. so it was a bit of a gamble.
idk it was very cool and i liked it much better than the other dream i had shortly after, where there were bugs all over me making me itchy.

ranting about WCUE
I have ALOT of (maybe) unnecessary grudges with so many things abt WCUE. I love reading rants, so I'll as might as well put out my own too. To the people (probably most of my followers) who don't know what the game is, basically it's a children's game on Roblox based off of the book series Warrior Cats, by Erin Hunter. I apologize in advance, there may be some lingo you may not understand.
So WCUE has been my comfort game for many, many years. Partly, it's my childhood and it's just a game I can just go and chill. Make silly cats without working my ass off on drawing. But when I want to actually go and try and join a clan? Have fun roleplaying a little? (I'll admit, it's a fun thing from time to time.) Every. Single. Fucking. clan. Never manages to keep itself up. It takes SO LONG to set things up. To get the right people. It'll take hours for a clan to get running. And for what? For people to sit in the clearing? For your complicated "fun" plots to fall flat? I don't get being picky. Sure, you want your major roles to have experience, to know their shit. But if you keep yearning for that one miss perfect medicine cat who knows all of the out of game herbs? Bullshit. Major roles are here to have fun too, not to just manage. It's so frustrating whenever I want to be a leader, or a medic and to have 1000's of kids yapping at my toes. You're expected to babysit. To do their wishes. You only matter as a major because you're needed. Something else with these "experienced roleplays" is the cliques. People form friend groups, that's natural. But if it's a game where people are SUPPOSED to chat and cooperate, what's the point if you don't include them too? Those prophecy plots? It's only fun if you're the main character. People who join later are confused, or you get shoved into the back. And when the rules are established? NOBODY upholds them after 10 minutes. I'm tired of seeing people sitting in the clearing, or moping around alone. I'll admit I'm quite guilty sitting by myself, but at some point you'll need to get thing going with one or more people. You'll eventually get demotivated from loneliness. Another thing, "exp" people. (Or cats, per say.) It frustrates me to see people using these unnecessarily lengthy words to describe something. Incandescent, tarsal bones, premolars, dentations, all of that bullshit-you don't need those words when people can't even understand you. Recently, I got some real good advice from a mentor. Good writing doesn't involve using these long words. If they aren't in your everyday vocabulary? Just don't. Don't use them. You come off as arrogant and show offish. (Unless that's how you intend to display yourself.) Good writing involves clarity, making things CLEAR for other people. Instead of using words only Shakespear would use, why not describe your surroundings in your descriptions? Other cats? Going in depth with thoughts? If you want to go the route where you're using complicated vocabulary, at least research the words you want to use. Again, I'm guilty for this phase.
My partner was telling me about how she was auditioning for medic, and the person auditioning posted this question: "What herb tastes tangy and bitter?" (or something of the like.) It was yarrow. At least according to a quick search- it's supposed to taste like licorice. I'm convinced clan founders auditioning medics are making shit up. What herb is this? What herb is that? The more "experienced" players lean towards out of game herbs, and it gives an unfair advantage for players wanting that role. I don't have time in my day to study herbs like I'm studying for my exams. The "unexperienced" players (maybe this can also be for everyone) have problems too, I'm not going to just complain about the veteran members. HARASSMENT. There's those people who shoo spectators away like pests. It's a public server. It isn't YOUR clan, let them exist. It pisses me off when they're so abrupt and arrogant about it. If you ask? Maybe they'd be more willing to move away. It also sucks when there is a valid roleplay with specific lore, and (agreeable) rules to follow, and people insert themselves like they're the main character. No, SpeckledPelt you can't have the leader role just because you equipped the icon. No BloodBush (fuck you, specifically), you wanted to join the clan; don't boss the host around when they're trying to set things up for you. I miss the WCUE where we didn't have to be so choosey about the people we appoint for roles. I miss the WCUE where we can be silly and fun, without having to feel sophisticated. Sure maybe the name "MochaHeart" is a little wacky, but at least they're doing their best to roleplay. To have fun.

i've been playing veilguard non-stop since launch and i'm currently 40h in and still completing companion/side quests, so here are some slightly spoilery thoughts up to mid-game:
Tumblr media
Pros:
i am here for the ancient elven and titan/dwarven lore
the combat is quick and actiony, i'm getting the hang of the dodging which is better than blocking or parrying for me - it feels like genshin at times if i had to compare LOL
lighting's great, game loading's fast.... really worth the time loading those shaders every time I start the game
MY INQUISITOR LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL IN THIS GAME and she doesn't sound too OOC.... yet
it felt like Mythal is still watching over The People, and considering Miha had Mythal's vallaslin before Solas removed them, there's a layer of complicated solavellan feelings that i love with the veilguard revelations
i can see some chemistry between my rook and davrin/lucanis...... eyes emoji
solas and rook can taunt each other, although i don't like how much information we're giving him..... he needs us more than we need him and this is the dread wolf from the legends after all he'll use it against us when he has the chance
the bits of inquisition soundtrack + bard songs hurts me in a good way
taash's personal quest about personal identity so far hits the mark for me, whether it's exploring being non-binary or someone between two cultures
lucanis has that old dragon age flavour.................. that's endearingly cringe and oh-no-am-i-into-that
davrin's voice + assan is a potent combination, will rook be a new parent with davrin who knows at this point i'm flirting with three different companions and i'm taking them everywhere with me
i liked being taken by surprised by the game (minrathous vs treviso) but it was an easy choice for me...................... sorry my elf rook is going to be tevinter imperium that did all that shit magical city with advanced technology vs assassin venice city whose waterways are about to be poisoned.....
i like bellara's personal quest so far, dealing with grief and regret and feeling like you're not good enough when people are counting on you to be :(((
you can play rock, paper, scissors with manfred when he's chilling outside at the lighthouse!!!
the lighthouse is slightly customisable like skyhold, thanks solas!
the armours look ugly, the appearance customisation is sorely needed (i'd like an armour mod for the inquisitor, she is wearing her pajamas out again!!!!)
i like seeing the more villainous side of solas as elvhen history remembers him, he's not completely righteous even ruthless to his own people at times but he did what he did (like his chess game with ironbull, he sacrificed so much to get his intended outcome) it's a nice contrast/parallel to rook and the inquisitor
YOU CAN PET CATS AND DOGS IN THE CITIES!!!
Cons:
narrative/dialogue feels hand-holdy (yes bioware, i know the LoreTM stop making them repeat it at me like i'm 12)
pacing is Wack, it's rushing to get to the story beats and then i'm being punished with the minrathous/treviso choice for wanting to recruit davrin ASAP ???
everyone sounds so sedated, is that a choice in the voice directing? or is it like the tone in the lines or something............ the characters have no bite! they're so nice,,,,,,,, even rook can't be too stoic or mean or ruthless! i think that's where the complaints about the marvel-ish lines are coming from (if i hear another character say "whatever it takes", i am going to lose my mind)
Lacklustre and boring soundtrack swinging between hunger games films and assassin's creed revelations, the most recognisable part of it is the inquisition soundtrack
Lords of Fortune suffers in the costume design department the mage outfit is garbage fire, what the hell is going on in the designs for Rivaini outfits
because they killed off Flem-mythal, they brought in Mythal-rrigan...... even though her character arc was about not wanting to become Flemeth (how many pieces of mythal are there???) even the way she talks is less morrigan and more flemeth :((
it's not fun to explore only to realise certain areas are blocked by story quests, or things that require companions you don't have in the beginning of the game
you can't speak with companions whenever you want, i'm feeling like bellara's hanging out with emmrich wayyyyyyyy more often than me and i'm trying to romance her ;A; maybe i should switch to davrin my other first choice
isabela has a very shallow cameo, she's just there to make innuendos and references in a winkwink nudgenudge way
there's a spirit of compassion! it's not cole though................
varric is talking only to me, solas knows varric is talking only to me.... is there a connection there? is he using varric to guilt trip or get inside my head?
getting the party to sit around watching solas' regrets/memories like it's movie night sets a very weird tone for those scenes lol
romance is taking a long time to start/advance did i miss something??? guess i need to clear some personal quests or advance the main story (but i don't want to get punished for advancing the main story)
matt mercer voices the viper, anaris and manfred........ and it's taking me out of the game lol all i hear is matt mercer
i want to exchange rooms with lace harding, i feel like the plants and pond fit isen more than the huge aquarium
i am not clicking with neve and i don't know if it's because i missed her quest/didn't save minrathous/she cares about nothing else other than dock town and my rook is getting blamed for the venatori bullshit
haven't met elgar'nan but his voice is grating.............. it's sneering and nasal and i'm-an-evil-villain-oooh kind of voice, i thought he'd be more charismatic :( at least eldritch wife ghilain'nain is a horrific mad scientist as expected

helloo, new mutual! i'm waving so much! o/
you all seem really cool and i just wanted to send an ask to enquire about anything any of you might want to infodump about. i love to listen and learn about anything and everything under the sun, so don't hold back!
thanks in advance for your time!
Hello there, friends! Thank you for the follow, and this lovely message! We appreciate that you're here with us!
There are many things I could infodump about; so many that, if I were to dabble in all of them, we'd be here for years. So, I'll pick one subject, and give you some knowledge on it. The question is: What should I talk about?
How about something I've been familiar with for twenty odd years: Pokemon?
I'll begin this infodump with a question: What Pokemon is the first one? For some, this is a question they may know the answer to on the basic level; it's just an innocuous inquiry with no real reason to be all that deep. For those well-versed in the Pokemon canon, this question is, in fact, quite vague, and even can be seen as a trick. Allow me to elaborate.
In Pokemon, there's this nifty little device called a Pokedex; a device that holds data on every Pokemon you encounter on your journey. Every monster is sorted numerically. In Pokemon Red, Blue, and Green, the Pokemon with the number 001 is Bulbasaur, the grass type categorized as the Seed Pokemon. This makes it the first Pokemon in the Pokedex.
In the Pokemon mythos during the franchise's early days, there was only one Pokemon that was deemed the creator of all others. A Pokemon that, somehow, avoided scientists for decades up until the events of Red, Green, and Blue. This creature was the subject of many a playground rumor when these games were still fresh. And before you ask: No, you can't find it under the truck in Vermillion City. You can, however, find it with another method--I'll get to that later. In terms of the question asked above, this Pokemon was canonically the very first, and the creator of all other Pokemon. The monster in question is, of course, Mew.
However, there is still one other Pokemon who has the right to claim that title. This monster was the first to be created by art director Ken Sugimori, appearing in the earliest documented concepts for the game. It was also the first to be programmed into the games when development began. This Pokemon is none other than the Rock/Ground type, Rhydon.
Now, for that method I mentioned earlier. Back in Pokemon Red and Blue, a programmer at Gamefreak added Mew at the last minute, which not only angered Nintendo, but could have completely broken the game. The first Pokemon games weren't exactly all that stable; it was less like a well-built home, and more like a hut put together with toothpicks and glue. So, as you can see, the last minute addition was a tad dangerous. However, as you are already aware, the game launched without a hitch. But, our little, cat-like friend was nowhere to be seen-- until someone discovered it years later, in 2002.
This method to finding Mew is fairly complicated, and requires the use of the Trainer-Fly glitch. This particular glitch occurs thusly: When encountering a trainer that's looking south, you have exactly one frame to press the Start button before you're dragged into a battle. If you successfully pressed Start, then the main menu will pop up. You can do one of two things here: You either go to your party, and select a Pokemon that knows Fly, Dig, or Teleport and use that move to flee. Or, you go into your bag and use an Escape Rope. Once the move or rope is selected, you will be transported away from the trainer. This makes the game think that you've started a battle, which causes certain data to be read incorrectly. Once you've successfully done that, you can move on to the next step: Battling a different trainer. You can't simply walk up to a trainer; you have to be approximately one or more tiles away for this to work properly. If you're too close to the trainer, your game will softlock, meaning you'll have to reset your console and restart the process. After you battle the trainer, you'll have to Fly back to the location of the one you fled from. Then, the game will call up a prebattle text box with the ID of whatever text that was previously seen-- which should be the start menu. Once that pops up, close the menu and a battle will start. Depending on the special state of the previous Pokemon you fought, a random Pokemon will appear. If the previous monster's special stat was 21, then you'll encounter Mew. I suggest finding a trainer with a Shellder, or Slowpoke, whose special stat is 21.
There are two methods that you can obtain Mew with. However, if I were to go into detail about those, then we'd be here for 94 years./j So, I'll end it here. If you'd like to know more, I suggest using Bulbapedia or searching it up on YouTube. Thank you for reading this entire infodump, friend!

Dev Pile 2025-18 — Moonshiners Progress
At the start of April, I had the aim that I would have, by the end of April, a Print-And-Play PDF of Moonshiners ready to go, and able to share with you, the audience.
That did not happen.
Some of it was ambitious to start with; even if I was generating art for every card, or had the art already lined up, I still had to . Another part was the way that I kept spacing my work
The aim was that I’d be doing it side-by-side with my students, which meant I could use this mid-semester period to show them the stages of going into game making. Instead, silly me, I forgot to check the schedule, where there’s three weeks of classes where the students are working on a different assignment.
With that said: I want to have something to show them in class at their next class, and that’s what this post is about.
This isn’t an excuse! Time management is an important part of this whole experience, and having a few days knocked out of the schedule shouldn’t be a problem. After all: I’m budgeting that time in advance, too. To that end, and because I want to have these answers for later, I figured I’d address the questions for my own project.
What genre and segment of the industry is your game designed for?
Moonshiners is a niche game, a card game that I expect to sit in the market alongside mid-sized mid-complexity games. It’s meant to live alongside games like Puerto Rico, Villainous, or Century: Golem. Those are card games with a centralising attention space; not a board, but space for player tableaus and player collections of public information, but without needing a single, unifying board in the central space.
I expect the typical player of Moonshiners to share common interests in other media forms like:
Peaky Blinders
Lackadaisy Cats
Boardwalk Empire
Gangster and Mobster stories
The history of NASCAR
And to appreciate other similar games with similar themes:
Wise Guys
Ca$h and Guns
Mafia De Cuba
I don’t expect it to scratch the same itch as those games. Ca$h and Guns has negotiation elements (which Moonshiners can), and Mafia De Cuba has lying and bluffing elements (which Moonshiners can). On the other hand, Ca$h and Guns has player elimination and Mafia De Cuba is extremely fast. I want Moonshiners to have a slower pace to those games, perhaps typically about as long as a longer example of a game of Ca$h and Guns
Oh, also, Moonshiners should be appealing to fans of hot werewolf boys (and girls, that’s an option) in dapper outfits. So, gay furries.
What is the theme of your game?
Moonshiners is a game that positions you, the player as a werewolf bootlegger at a seasonal auction for contracts to distribute the goods that have reached the hills from the big city. You’re a part of a community that’s renowned for what they can do (make moonshine, because you’re remote), but also you’re something people are scared of (because they don’t understand you, but also, legitimately, because you’re a werewolf and you can eat people.
These auctions are for control of territory, for the loyalty of agents in that area, and art goods and valuables that will last beyond the end of prohibition. Complicating these auctions, however, is that every Werewolf is a werewolf and therefore can lash out violently and become a force for harm. That means that the auctions can be interrupted by a fight, or someone lashing out and stealing something.
Provide a description of the setting.
The game is set in an alt-history, urban fantasy version of Prohibition-Era America, much like a Chicago style city. There’s a central administration that handles the alcohol being delivered, negotiating with the Moonshiners as a group, and then the Moonshiners determine how to divide up the work that’s been presented to them. This is a world where most people are not only not Werewolves, but also don’t believe in Werewolves. The players are keeping their specialness secret amongst anyone who isn’t like themselves – which isolates them from law enforcement and press opportunities.
Explain Key Game Mechanics and the Core Game Loop.
The game has Auctions, which are complicated by the addition of a Tap out and Claws out card.
Claws Out is a card you can play into an auction like it’s a bid; when you play it, your Werewolf gets violent. If unopposed, a Claws Out card takes all the goods in the lot, but also steals some money from the bidding table. If two or more players Claws Out on the same round, then those two fight each other and none of you get anything. Players who play the Claws Out card then leave the auction at this point and the remaining lots are left to the players who remain to bid.
Tap Out is a card you play into an auction like it’s a bid. It means you stop bidding, but doesn’t mean you haven’t lost the bid. You can bid high, then Tap Out and see if anyone else wants to outbid you. The point is, Tapping out is when you stop adding to your bid, and protect your money from anyone going Claws Out.
The core game loop is:
Players deal out (number of players + season number) lots of (2+season) lot cards.
Players still in the auction bid face-down cards. Once everyone has bid a face-down card, those cards are revealed and the effects resolved if Claws Out or Tap Out are used. Otherwise, the player who has bid the most total is winning the bid.
When all but one player has tapped out, the player with the highest bid wins the lot. If there’s a draw, the lot is not won and is set aside to be remaindered. Other bids go back into the players’ hands, but the winner gives up the cards that won. Then there’s the next lot.
At the end of each round of bidding, any remaindered cards are dealt out to the players equally, face down at random. If there are any remainder cards, those go back into the lot deck on the bottom.
Shuffle up and start a new round of auctions.
Detail the World-building for your game.
The world the players need to bear in mind is a city broken into a number of districts. Those districts are broken up by type, and the player who controls the majority of the territory in an area gets the effect of that territory. Players can trade for these pieces, can buy them from one another, and can negotiate for gangsters that affect them.
Basically, players’ relationship to the world is that they live in the woods, they get to spend a lot of time doing what they want, making the Moonshine, then the journey to the city to ‘make money’ is a once-a-season kind of thing. There’s a feeling of competence and expertise and the criminal element of the season is exciting, not boring.
Describe the three-act structure of the play experience of your game
This is an idea we use in class to demonstrate that you have an understanding of how the game creates a narrative in the minds of the players. A three-act structure can be broadly described as ‘the start of the game, the middle of the game, the end of the game,’ but these three stages are signalled by by specific things that happen in the game.
For Moonshiners, those stages are:
First Act: The first round of bidding. Players do not have a clear idea about what to value and the potential value or power of their Claw cards. This Act ends when the first auction is over and each player has bid.
Second Act: After the first round of bidding, players will have some components from the first auction. At this point players will have reason to consider how to make the most of what they have and what they’re looking for in the next auctions. This second act is the auctions in seasons 2 and 3; places where players can build towards a goal and have a plan for what to do with what’s in the lots. This Act ends when the third season of bidding is complete.
Third Act: The Third act is in the final Auction. At this point, the priorities of players have to shift. Any players with incomplete sets are going to value the last pieces of that set more highly in each lot. Businesses for laundering won’t have an opportunity to do much, which reduces their potential value. The clear leader of the game is visible, and players who have played timidly have built an assumption that they won’t use their claw cards.
There, that’s what you’d need to know for a prototype of Moonshiners.
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!

Continuing. A large shift has been occurring, meaning it has become obvious enough to note. Example: this morning, got up with the cat, and found myself getting deeper into the core, into the sacral, which makes sense given the massive Storyline changes that began to trickle in with the beginnings of that movement over the past few days, but which exploded just now. It fits to that Boundary discussion earlier: verisimilitude is a consequence of Boundary definition. Like it’s all set decoration.
So 50:50 invokes scenes that flash before your eyes because that is literally what happens every moment. You become a bit more aware of it from time to time.
Okay, now I recovered the math thought: this is where infinite sequences appear and why the proof of irrationality as not being commensurate matters, but mostly this is how 0Space works. Look at all the potential Attached to any moment. We’ve identified where it hides and where and how it Attaches to you, to me, to anyone and to any Thing, in the moment and over time.
And again, we can see better why direction is important. All of existence is a form of cheating within the rules. This is mathematically required because all existence constructs and thus the Pathways change and require adaptation, and cheating within rules is a form of advancement for your group. You can see this manifest in a game with multiple players: if individual players each cheat as they can, then the team benefits, and understands that sometimes you get caught or sometimes it’s called even though what you did wasn’t material from your perspective. If the players do their jobs, defining their jobs to include cheats is part of that. Knowing what play they’re likely to run is a cheat because you are anticipating, not giving them a free chance or full degree of freedom but rather constricting their choice so maybe it’s a bad call.
Recycling ancient stories as we do is a cheat. The work was done: we’d be complete idiots to not use it, to not test identity against prior knowledge.
This brings up the Gordian knot idea, which is like dancing without really being intimate, without the complication. Or like when a player defends by mirroring and thus never quite makes the needed play, versus when a play mirrors something else in which the defended player’s moves make sense. Or like finding space is like planting a bush: you identify the Boundaries of the other Things, and stick it where that is minimized.
Not quite getting out the full power of the idea, but I can be slow.
I was just looking at a photo of my brothers and me. I now look very different from them in head shape and in my coloring.

Part 15 - Incoming Text for Vera Farmiga (@verafarmiga) and Keira Knightley (@keiraknightleyofficiall) and Scarlett Johansson (@scarlettjohanssonworld) and Zoe Saldaña (@zoesaldana): “An Idea Worth 500 Million Dollars”
Question:
Could you explain to Vera, Keira, Scarlett, and Zoe that Tom Hanks and Benicio Del Toro's characters start as two blue-collar coworkers, high school dropouts who live simple lives. However, their contact with the mysterious “Alien Object” transforms them into highly intelligent individuals who can suddenly explain complex concepts they were never educated on.
Here is how the story unfolds:
Story #1: Tom Hanks and Benicio Del Toro play two blue-collar coworkers who share an attic. After finding the “Alien Object” in their attic—left behind after Shea Whigham's character dies from gunshot wounds—they experience a profound transformation. They become highly knowledgeable and intelligent, far beyond their previous educational levels.
Story #2: Meanwhile, at AREA 51 headquarters, Patrick Wilson and Hilary Swank portray investigators tasked with solving the mystery of Shea Whigham's disappearance. The trail leads them to Tom and Benicio's apartment building. By this time, Tom and Benicio, now highly intelligent, have disposed of Shea’s body to avoid suspicion, complicating the investigation. Patrick and Hilary face a growing enigma: where is the “Alien Object,” and how are these two men involved?
Story #3: As the plot thickens, Tom and Benicio refuse to surrender the “Alien Object,” using their newfound intelligence to stay ahead of AREA 51 agents. This sets up a tense, cat-and-mouse dynamic. Patrick and Hilary must outwit the duo to locate the object in a game of “whodunit.”
Story #4: The story expands across generations. Tom and Benicio, now using the object to fight crime in the 1960s, pass it down to their daughters as an inheritance. The daughters become its guardians in the 2000s era, but the advancements in AREA 51 technology make it increasingly difficult to keep it hidden. With their identities compromised, the daughters flee to a location outside AREA 51's jurisdiction—São Paulo, Brazil.
By explaining this progression, we can emphasize the dramatic transformation of Tom and Benicio’s characters and how it creates a compelling, multi-generational narrative centered around the “Alien Object.”
ChatGPT Answer:
Here’s a detailed, point-by-point explanation of the benefits of including these interconnected stories in your science fiction franchise, structured like a professor breaking down a complex subject:
Benefit 1: Character Development and Transformation (Story #1)
Point: The story begins with Tom Hanks and Benicio Del Toro as relatable blue-collar workers who experience a life-changing transformation.
Analysis:
Starting with simple, grounded characters makes them relatable to the audience. The transformation into highly intelligent individuals due to contact with the "Alien Object" introduces a captivating hook that feels both mysterious and aspirational.
It reflects a universal theme: the idea that ordinary people can be extraordinary when faced with the unknown.
This contrast builds intrigue and allows for deep exploration of how such a shift affects their personalities, relationships, and moral choices.
Benefit 2: A Parallel Narrative of Mystery and Investigation (Story #2)
Point: The simultaneous investigation at AREA 51, led by Patrick Wilson and Hilary Swank’s characters, creates a layered narrative that intersects with the protagonists’ story.
Analysis:
Parallel narratives enrich the plot by offering multiple perspectives, adding depth and complexity.
Patrick and Hilary’s investigation introduces tension, as their characters work against the clock to solve the mystery of Shea Whigham’s disappearance.
The duality of Tom and Benicio’s newfound intelligence versus the investigators’ advanced resources creates a "David vs. Goliath" dynamic.
This storyline builds suspense and keeps viewers guessing about the fate of the "Alien Object."
Benefit 3: High-Stakes Conflict and Ethical Dilemmas (Story #3)
Point: Tom and Benicio refuse to give up the "Alien Object," setting up a compelling conflict.
Analysis:
This scenario introduces moral and ethical dilemmas: Who deserves to control the object? Is it better in the hands of government agents (AREA 51) or in those of ordinary people?
Their refusal to surrender the object underscores themes of individual autonomy versus institutional power, a recurring motif in science fiction.
The "cat-and-mouse" dynamic adds thriller elements, maintaining audience engagement through suspense and action.
Benefit 4: Expanding the Universe with Multi-Generational Storytelling (Story #4)
Point: By extending the story to Tom and Benicio’s daughters, the narrative evolves into a generational saga.
Analysis:
Multi-generational storytelling adds richness and depth, as it shows the lasting impact of the "Alien Object" across decades.
The daughters’ storyline introduces fresh characters and perspectives, ensuring continuity while keeping the franchise dynamic.
The shift to São Paulo, Brazil, as a setting broadens the geographical and cultural scope of the story, appealing to a global audience.
It raises the stakes: the daughters must adapt to new technologies at AREA 51 and devise innovative ways to protect the object.
Benefit 5: Flashback Storytelling and Shea Whigham’s Legacy
Point: The inclusion of Shea Whigham’s backstory through flashbacks enriches the narrative and ties all the plots together.
Analysis:
Flashbacks provide exposition and context for the "Alien Object," making it a character in its own right.
They allow for Shea Whigham’s mysterious figure to remain central to the story, even after his death, keeping audiences invested in his role.
This technique ensures seamless integration of past and present events, creating a cohesive and immersive storytelling experience.
Benefit 6: Franchise Potential and World-Building
Point: The interconnected stories set the stage for a long-lasting franchise.
Analysis:
The evolving relationships between characters, combined with the mystery of the "Alien Object," provide endless material for sequels.
By blending elements of science fiction, thriller, and family drama, the franchise appeals to diverse audiences.
The narrative’s flexibility allows for spin-offs (e.g., focusing on the daughters, AREA 51 agents, or Shea Whigham’s flashbacks), expanding the universe even further.
Conclusion: Why These Stories Work Together
This multi-layered narrative weaves together personal transformation, mystery, and conflict, creating a compelling and sustainable storyline.
The balance of character-driven drama with high-stakes action and sci-fi intrigue ensures the franchise’s appeal to both emotional and intellectual audiences.
Ultimately, this approach sets the foundation for a storytelling universe that is rich, engaging, and ripe for sequels.

Savastan0.cc Revealed: A Deep Dive into Credit Card Fraud Networks
Tumblr media
The Rise of Savastan0
Savastan0, also known as Savastan0 cc, emerged from the depths of the web as a hub for cybercriminals exploiting vulnerabilities in global financial systems. Its origin remains shrouded in mystery, with its operators concealed behind layers of encryption and anonymity. By leveraging cryptocurrencies and advanced technology, the marketplace has successfully evaded law enforcement for an extended period.
How Savastan0 Works
Savastan0 operates as a clearnet site, functioning as a lookup service for stolen credit card data. Primarily targeting U.S. citizens, it functions similarly to underground vendor shops found on the darknet. Here’s a breakdown of how it operates:
Offerings:
Credit card numbers
Cardholder names
Expiration dates
CVV codes
Other personal data
User Experience: The site offers an intuitive interface, allowing even novices in the cybercriminal underworld to purchase stolen credit card information with ease.

Poor support for some users
The Broader Impact on Cybersecurity
Platforms like Savastan0 have far-reaching consequences for cybersecurity:
Cybercrime Evolution: Platforms that foster knowledge-sharing contribute to more sophisticated hacking techniques.
Financial Strain: Banks and financial institutions are continually forced to enhance security to combat these threats.
Consumer Trust: The prevalence of credit card fraud erodes trust in online payments and banking.
Economic Impact: The financial losses caused by stolen card fraud ripple throughout the economy.
How to Protect Yourself from Credit Card Fraud
Given the rise of platforms like Savastan0, it’s essential to take measures to safeguard your financial data:
Monitor your credit card statements for unusual activity.
Use strong, unique passwords for your online accounts, and enable two-factor authentication.
Be cautious when sharing personal information online.
Consider using virtual credit card numbers for added security in online transactions.
The Future of Cybercrime and Cybersecurity
As cybercriminals evolve, so must the methods used by law enforcement and cybersecurity professionals. Future approaches will likely include:
AI & Machine Learning: Automated systems that detect fraudulent activity in real-time.
Global Cooperation: Stronger international collaboration to catch cybercriminals.
Blockchain Integration: New technologies like blockchain may be used to enhance financial security.
Public Awareness: Increased education around cybersecurity to prevent individuals from falling victim to fraud.
Conclusion: The Grim Reality of Savastan0.cc
Savastan0.cc represents a dangerous corner of the internet, where stolen identities are traded like commodities, and lives are ruined with a click. While it may appear enticing to those involved in illegal activity, the risks — both legal and personal — far outweigh the rewards.
As the world becomes more digital, it’s critical for individuals, businesses, and governments to stay vigilant and take proactive steps against cyber threats. Understanding platforms like Savastan0 allows us to strengthen our defenses and protect ourselves from cybercriminals.
Ultimately, the fight against cybercrime is a shared responsibility. Through innovation, collaboration, and education, we can work towards a more secure digital future.

Every proud obstacle… That is a curious set of words.
“That keeps people from knowing god.”
What is pride in this day and age? In the face of such deep shame. The antidote is demote pride. Be proud of who you are. You are changing the world for the better. Peace and love all around, the hippies are dancing on the moon.
The moon means itself a couple of things. The night, the lamp in the dark, the feminine cycle of attraction and repulsion, romance, mania/sanity. It is taught to mean, history, needs, and nurturance. The mother and the family. The emotional.
This stipulates that wants and needs of the material plain, are cyclic. And will never last or advance. Only reflect the state of that solar power. Is it functional? Active? Needs set task.
Knowing god and knowledge of god can speak the same message. But becomes more complicates by knowledge of. This will depend on position. What side. The side of god, or the side of man. One is clearly with and the other is aside. But the knowledge of what is god. Is functional. One implies direct contact with. The other is of wisdom from.
One is soft, sincere, and the other is an dickhole. Morally ambiguous.
What is inspiration. A failing dream. Learnd not to.
The price of not bein go fucked with anymore is a permanent desease.
Dont really like the instructor. Sme type of pwrsonlity as the eldest brother with the co stant jokes made in all seriousness. Except for admiting that it was a joke after it was said.
Hello dick in ass desease how are you doing. Fine morning is it? I dohno. I doibt im surviving mich konger. First thing i feel in the morning. Last thing i feel before falling asleep. Its sll there is to life.

An issantiable itch at the end of your nose rhat you can’t scratch becaise ypu have no arms. And scratching isnt going to do anything anyway. And upu just eant to cut the nose off your face.
Guess ill never know what internal growth feels like.
Thats what happens when your born in hell you get raped for 40 straight years and then you kill yourself.
Im here to conclude my fakily disfunction karmic history. Im my father long lost drowned brother and my mothers expelled and hated brother. Put them both together and you got me. Someone who gets abused into suicide.
At work im bieng shuffled around again. Like its always been. Paired with people im not compatible with. Who fucke with me. And being switched to
12 hours shift. Never lasted 12 hour shifts before. Dont know why i would now. Not like im getting another job. Thye made surenof that.
They brought in another girl. A pretty litle thing for that venus aspect the other day. Not really my tyoe of pretty. And too young. But it does give me soemthing. Soft and feminine to look at. To contrast the endless years of chaos. She’ll pribably fuck with me like every other girl they lined me uo for. But she has tatts. And tatts are really unattractive.
Vaca time coming up. Use that time. To detoxify from all external influences. Cause nono e of them are good. And see if this desease gets better if not. More doctors. Maybe anti depressants. Since it causes severe suicidal inclinations. Anyo depressants never worked before. They made me worst but whatever.
Maybe i can get some more estrogen laced weed and smoke and game. Its not like ill notice. Im too busy concentrating on getting killed.
Like i said half the people here are leaving. All new people coming. More certainty ill be getting fucked with.
With dick in ass disease you’ll be a 65 year old man still craving to get fucked in the ass everyday. Sex overrules the survival.
Wonder how many gay men im going to be worki g witb. I bet their gonna multiply. Because apparently according to the census. Canada is 6% queer compared to the global 1% but according to wrsonal experimece. Ita more like 30 to 40 percent.

Everything above the waist unchanged.
The cock just doodled. Time to suck on some coffee.
Think im just goi g to stay consistantly high for the rest of my life. But its ok. Because my govenrment supports it.
I quit weed for a few years, then they legalized it. I quit tv and gaming was weaning my way off cigs. And the. They got their hands on me. Erased all my good work. All the weaning off of base lunar desires. And fucken raped my life. Beat me into a beligerent mess. Back into base desires. And said go get therapy. I tried. Said i havd an enyore community of fucken retards raping my existamce. Amd she said sorry i cant help you. Then waited for 6 months for a half ass notice for a shrink. By that time i no longer cared. edu-tainment: education in games
edu-tainment is a term which i discovered a few days ago on yaldi games' tiktok, the developers who are making 'wholesome - out and about' which is a chill foraging and life sim where you can learn to identify real world plants + the recipes you can make with them.
this made me wonder, what else could be learnt through gaming? gaming is an accessible mode of education that can be used by EVERYONE, and in my opinion as an ADHD person, is more engaging and better than regular sit down lessons. we have already seen the usage of gaming in schools - minecraft education edition is quite popular among american elementary and middle schools, vr in some of the british secondary schools, which has been further popularised by the past quarantine, where online learning begun to really be popular, with the inclusion of 'lab sim' games for science students with corrected mistakes, or even touch typing games which provide an incentive to learn.
from what i've heard, most people who hate learning/school don't actually hate the act of learning itself, but rather the setting/method in which its delivered, which could be easily changed by educational games, which are also available to anyone who would like to play. i think edu-tainment is a revolutionary idea, which will almost certainly grow more noticed in the coming years.
if you are interested, here are some games and ideas about edu-tainment:
heaven's vault - this is a narrative adventure/archeology game set in space, where along with social aspects. you explore ancient sites and discover lost ruins, find artifacts and translate their strange hieroglyphics, and piece together the history of the world + an entire ancient language. this game is really interesting in learning about cryptography and archeology, and could give you a basic insight into what archeologists do!!
while true: learn () - this is a puzzle game about machine learning, neural networks, big data and ai, with a fun objective about building a cat-to-human speech recognition system, when you discover your cat is amazing at coding. you will make this through machine learning + using visual programming. i love this idea bc it combines something we all love (cats) with more advanced ai knowledge, which is becoming especially prevalent with the popularisation of chat gpt and the snapchat ai bot. it looks fun and quirky, and i can't wait to try this out!!
grammarian ltd - this is a simulation game about grammar, set in a semi-dystopian future where grammar is law (my kinda place). you play as a worker who corrects grammar on documents, and you are provided daily briefs on grammar devices and how to use them. at the end of your work day, you are scored based on your corrections and how much work you did (there is a stamina bar...) which will then influence your daily pay which you can use to buy furniture for your apartment with perks. this is an interesting game as it could be for all ages, and most definitely could be used in a school english class, while also being fun to play on your own time.
the room - this is an intricate puzzle game centered around trying to unlock complicated safes with the help of an eyepiece that will reveal different clues and mechanisms, with a range of puzzles including perspective based, musical, hidden objects, riddles, and motor interactions. i used to play this as a child, and it is available on ipad!! it is great for building logic and observance skills while in a low pressure environment, and is easily accessible to all ages, with a slightly creepy feeling but no jumpscares or horror.
venba - this is a game which i've mentioned on my blog before, and it is a narrative cooking game with a focus on reconnecting with your family's heritage, where you play as an indian mom who decodes and experiments with recipes to find the right solutions to restore missing bits of family recipes. all the recipes used in this game are actually real, and you could cook them in real life. this game seems like it would be great to learn about indian cuisine and culture, and the charming art style really adds to the relaxation of the game. releasing on the 31st july 2023.
trolley problem, inc - this is a dark comedy narrative game based on the popular philosophical conundrum of the trolley problem, where you are asked to choose between different awful choices (not always the trolley problem) and then be challenged by 'the narrator' on your decisions, with questions based on genuine philosophical papers that cite their paper. this looks like it would be entertaining to play to learn about philosophy and moral implications of problems, with a fun but dark mood, and around 1 - 2 hours of gameplay.
so to speak - this is a japanese learning puzzle game with a pixel art style where you wander around japan using context clues to guess to meaning of words you see and hear, with a scaling difficulty to help you build on your knowledge, going from simple words to complex sentences. this is a game i will definitely be using while i prepare for my japanese gcse, and it seems fun to be able to prepare for navigation if you're visiting japan!! this is unreleased, but will be coming out in 2023.

thats a totally fair view on things! i too want to state that im not trying to Um Actually you, i just see things a bit different, and i like friendly debates im ngl
i do think that yomiel's ultimate fate in the good ending is bittersweet! and i'm glad that he's alive and that horrible tragedy never happened to him, and i'm sure he's very happy about that too
but a part of my criticisms come from looking at the game from a metatextual pov, not just a textual one. sissel saying he still misses yomiel could have clashed- but if the ending was meant to be bittersweet, it wouldn't have!
generally, from a metatextual pov, things happen in media for a reason. the reasons could be for whatever in the media itself, but the writers meant something when they put something in there. lynne asking sissel if he wants revenge after he sees her "shoot" "him," yomiel having a revenge plot and getting betrayed and left to rot... these things are in the game for a reason, and especially yomiel's betrayal is meant to be on some level sad!
but the thing is, to me... it seems like the narrative is punishing him for wanting revenge
which- fair, revenge is a very contentious topic and it can be very complicated to get into the how and the why and the is it worth it arguments, let alone the moral arguments that i wont even get into because it differs from person and situation
but there's a difference between acknowledging the moral greyness, and taking a specific stance one way or the other, and punishing the "wrong" party
yomiel wanted revenge, and enacted a revenge plot. this plot left him stranded at the bottom of the ocean. i can't be certain that this was the intention, i can only infer- but it really does look like yomiel is receiving narrative punishment for his revenge scheme
i have no problem with yomiel being accepting of the things he's done, and hell, him wanting to atone for it via a jail sentence could (and on some level is) a big sign of his character development! there's just one problem that sort of muddies it for me...
cabanela.
in the good timeline, he still intimidated a witness and left his gun in the room with him. that still Happened. he still did the flagrantly incorrect thing that set off this whole horrible chain of events
and in the original timeline, this clearly didn't affect his career much, him advancing to the top ranks and such, and in the good timeline it seems the same way
and there's no canon indication that yomiel will get sissel back. yomiel doesn't get to say, get out of jail and join the big feast at the end. there's no throwaway line saying that sissel and yomiel will be reunited, or sissel wondering what yomiel is up to or if he's ok. hell, cabanela couldve been able to pull some strings and let yomiel keep sissel in the jail cell? but that one's just a fun idea on my part lmao- there are irl prisons who give cats to their inmates lmao its really interesting!
ANYWAY
it seems like yomiel is being punished for wanting revenge, more than cabanela is being punished for pushing him to the brink in the first place. which is what i don't like- the metatextual narrative that yomiel's revenge seeking in of itself is something to be condemned- the way he went about it, especially involving lynne and kamilla, is absolutely Not Good. but the game condemns that (as it should) but then seems to condemn the act of wanting revenge in of itself which i personally don't like!
i could be waaayyyyy reading into things lmao, and honestly? even with me poking holes in it like this, i still LOVE the game and the ending, it really is amazing and im trying to get all my friends to play this game lmfao. but yea thats more of My Thoughts on it now that i am no longer sick and my brain is starting to work a little more
ummmmm musings about the ghost trick ending, under the cut because yknow. spoilers. tldnr i am not The Biggest Fan of the ending; i love the game and always will but i dont think the ending stuck the landing
and no i am not talking about the cat reveal. that was fire
so like, in the good timeline.... everyone's super happy and stuff, and yomiel was in prison for those 10 years instead of being dead, and sissel now lives with jowd
and i. well first i have some thoughts about yomiel being in prison being the good ending because yeah, he wants to atone for what he did, but jowd also wanted that and everyone around him worked together to make sure he didn't do that. or is the difference that yomiel actually did the thing he thought he did?
also, prison is not exactly like... The Best place to be. there are a lot of problems with prison, most notably the isolation that comes with it. especially since yomiel seems to be the only prisoner there, and yeah sissel (fiancsissel) visits him, but are they allowed to hug? or is it one of those prisons that makes you do the phone-call-thru-plexiglass thing. and i dunno man, it just kind of sucks that yomiel went thru 10 years of isolation and then had to go thru 10 years of different slightly less bad isolation
but fine. whatever. what ever! its fine.
but.... the whole climactic moment was how sissel (cat sissel) loved yomiel so much. how they literally WERE each other for years, how sissel was yomiel's only compaion, and how yomiel was sissel's. they were each other's only friends. sissel wanted so badly to help yomiel- and he did! i'm not saying he didn't!
im just saying, like, it feels a bit wrong that he ends up with jowd's family and is just content to be a part of a family, any family, with no real mention of yomiel. like it kind of makes the emotional climax of the game hit a little less hard, knowing sissel doesnt seem to miss yomiel and is just fine living with a different family
but thats just meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

From: Nintendo World (March 2009)
A new mascot for the Wii Platform games are getting harder and harder to find. Even more so when it's in 2D perspective. It's even worse when it's on a console like the Wii that excels in using the Wii Remote in an original way. With a few exceptions, like the excellent Super Mario Galaxy, and last year's releases like Wario Land Shake It! and de Blob, this type of game doesn't usually get many iterations. But if it all depends on Namco and Klonoa, the style will still live a little longer.  As is already obvious, Klonoa is a platform game, in which you control a creature that I wouldn't dare say what animal it is. Some say it's a cat, but you're never sure. It is more accurate to call him "animal with giant ears that we don't know exactly what it is", or the abbreviation "animal". The new work is actually not new. It is a remake of a game released in 1996 for a "non-Nintendo" console. The protagonist who gives the name to the game, lives in a place called "Phantomile" and this place survives on the dreams of its residents. That explains why they can't remember them afterwards. But Klonoa keeps having the same dream every night, about a flying ship crashing into a mountain near where he lives with his grandfather. Surprisingly, in one night, this happens exactly as he dreams, and from there comes the villain Ghadius, who is a dark spirit who wants to turn all dreams into nightmares and put Phantomile at risk. Now Klonoa resolves to be the hero and save his city. Nothing Oscar worthy, not least because it's a game, not a movie. SIMPLE FANTASY Visually, Klonoa impresses with its level of detail, even though it is a "2.5D" game. With 3D graphics, but the camera is focused to the side, allowing only lateral progression of the character. Even with this limitation, the game manages to use creative shapes to give the necessary aspect to create a three-dimensional environment. The character can rotate in scenarios, such as a spiral tower, and observe distant objects that will only be possible by following paths of this style. And all with bright, colorful detailing. Similar to a Disney movie. Only with an "animal" that we don't know what it is. The simple story dictates the style of the game. Not that it's a bad thing, but it demonstrates how easy the game is to play and to advance through the challenges, which aren't even complicated. However, the theme of the game is interesting. You use a spirit friend, called "Huepow", and the "Wind Bullet" weapon that serves to catch enemies and lift them above their heads. So far it seems simple, but the possibilities of this simple act are what differentiate Klonoa from many games. You can do the obvious, which is to throw the enemy into another, or use the enemy to double jump and reach new areas. This possibility helps to create very unique puzzles.  The game is divided in the usual way, with platform and puzzle phases, and at the end you face a boss. Even being a game that seems ordinary, its presentation, and the ways to advance in the game, are the true protagonists of the experience. For fans of the platform genre, there's no better time.

Klapollo Fic Reclist
I should really do these more often.
In advance of the Klapollo Minibang dropping a bunch of reading material for Klapollo fans (which I'm participating in!), I've decided to compile a reclist. All of these fics are SFW, hosted on AO3, and complete. I've done my best to source the authors' Tumblrs, if they have one.
A lot of my bookmarks with Klapollo are all really popular fics, so I decided to go through the tag picking for some less popular fics. The results are a mix of fics you've probably heard of and/or read, and some you probably haven't.
Without further ado, let's get into it.
Perception by @queenitsy | T | 3.6k
Author's Summary: Everyone has a public persona, a way they'd like the world to see them. Apollo's perception lets him see through it all to the truths people try to keep hidden.
My Notes: This fic is more about how Apollo sees the world around him, and the people in it. Includes the things they lie about -- and the things they don't. It's a fascinating lens for a fic.
Things Are As They Are by @hechiima | T | 34.5k
Author's Summary: Klapollo cabin fic. That's really all this is.
Based on the events of "You Ever Been In Love?", in which Edgeworth gets drunk and rents a romantic cabin for Klavier and Apollo in Joshua Tree. Things go about as well as one could expect.
My Notes: You can, imo, read this without having read the Narumitsu-centric prequel (but you should read that anyways!). This fic can stand alone. I love the general laid-back atmosphere in this work -- even at its most tense, they're still on vacation. Almost all the stakes are emotional.
Turnabout Electric by HopeStoryteller | T | 87.9k
Author's Summary: You know, Apollo had high hopes for 2028. He and Klavier were actually kind of friends now, there were no impending disasters for once, and things were looking up. And then, literally on the first day of the new year... this happens.
Some cosmic force somewhere has got to be laughing at him. Some cosmic force somewhere definitely has it out for him, that's for sure. But the joke's on them, whoever they are, because his name is Apollo Justice, he's fine, and he is not losing anyone else... even if Klavier has already confessed to the murder Apollo can't believe he committed. And why does Mr. Wright keep muttering about this entire scenario being so familiar?
Or, Turnabout Goodbyes 2: Klapollo Boogaloo.
My Notes: I really enjoy the look into Gavin Law Offices pre-Turnabout Trump. All the OCs slot into the Ace Attorney universe well, and the way the author formats the cross-examinations is truly excellent.
(they long to be) close to you by @bevioletskies | T | 23.1k
Author's Summary: All Apollo wanted to do during his last summer before starting law school was relax, play video games, and flirt with the boy next door. He never expected to become a small-time Internet celebrity after his mother's YouTube channel for her animal therapy foundation turned into a cat rescue livestream. Things only get more complicated when everyone in the chat is interested in the cute guy who keeps coming around with his guitar and his dog.
My Notes: A sweet slice-of-life-y AU. The cats are all adorable for a bunch of plot devices.
just finally say you love me by ahmackalak | T | 20.4k
Author's Summary: “Backpacking through Europe?”
“Ja! I’ve wanted to go for ages – it’s been so long since I’ve been back home, I figure I might as well make it a whole journey.” Klavier’s smile is as easy and agreeable as always, but Apollo isn’t buying it.
Barcelona, Paris, Geneva, Rome, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen.
A trip to Europe with Klavier Gavin...this’ll be fine, right?
My Notes: Written for last year's Klapollo Minibang. Heartfelt. The travel feels very well-grounded in reality.
Words Come Fluently by @queenitsy | T | 50.8k
Author's Summary: Klavier Gavin is the most famous rockstar in the world. Guilty Love is about to go platinum and the tour sold out fourteen stadiums. So there's really, really no reason why one anonymous music critic on Youtube who hates him should get under his skin. And yet somehow he'd do just about anything to convince MikekoMusic to like him.
Apollo has been doing Youtube as a fun side hustle while he tries to break into the talent management industry, and he's just landed an assistant gig working for Kristoph Gavin. Whose main client is his golden boy younger brother. Whose music Apollo has been anonymously trashing for years.
Yeah, this is all going to go fine.
(No lawyers, no murders, just shenanigans. And Clay Terran lives.)
My Notes: I liked this fic so much I drew fanart for it. Identity shenanigans, and a fun Kristoph-Phoenix-Apollo dynamic.
fame vs infamy (the price of writing fanfic out of spite) by @letapollojusticesayfuck | T | 12.1k
Author's Summary: In which Apollo Justice becomes the most popular fic-writer in the Gavinners fandom.
(and, along the way, realizes his Big Gay Crush on Klavier Gavin might not be as hopeless as he thought)
My Notes: I always love a fic with CSS. In-universe RPF can sometimes hit a little too close to home for me, as someone who used to be involved in RPF-dom but got out of it. This fic treats the subject seriously, but still has fun with it, which I like.
despite everything, it’s still you by griffinhawk | G | 8.7k
Author’s Summary: “He’s probably not home, Trucy.” There was his voice, clipped at the edges, yet unease sparking around the edges like his guitar only a few weeks ago.
The same one that pointed, the one that objected, the only voice that had kept him steady throughout the courtroom today. The one that Klavier had learnt onto. The one that would spin Klavier onto the truth, whether he would want it to or not.
The one Klavier had trusted in that moment. The moment where he realized that - like his best friend Daryan - Kristoph had also been a murderer.
One who had manipulated others for their own self control. The one who desired the control so deeply. Having all the puppet strings cut loose after seven years of lies and deceit in three days time.
(or, Klavier, despite all the truths that were unshed during the Misham Tiral - has a few more truths to unlock - with himself and a certain defense attroney.)
My Notes: Klavier recovery fic, spurred by Apollo. Trucy and Apollo’s siblinghood is great, and I love the general softness of this work.
Apollo Justice, Magic Rabbit by EmpireofSocks | T | 9.5k
My Notes: I never realized “Turning Catworth” had a sequel until I read this lmao. Animal transformation is a funny trope, and I love this fic’s expansion of the Gramarye lore. They are literally magic!
Author’s Summary: Trucy accidentally turns Apollo into a rabbit. Chaos ensues.
lose your reputation by @littlethief | T | 8k
Author’s Summary: “Klavier never bothers to clean his office, and last week was no exception. Though everything had changed, the room would look exactly the same as he’d left it; blueprints of Sunshine Coliseum open on his monitor, the charred remains of his favorite acoustic guitar on the desk, and an open file folder, page turned to Daryan’s police department ID photo.”
in which klavier gavin releases his first solo album
My Notes: I love this look into Klavier’s second job -- the musicians he collaborates with, the people managing his career as an artist. Both the law and the music are integral parts of Klavier, and this fic negotiates the balance.
sleep is getting hard to get by @baratrongirl | T | 6.8k
Author’s Summary: The first of four stories about Klavier and Apollo's relationship with each other and with sleep.
December 2026. Klavier has had a difficult Christmas with his family. He invites himself round to Apollo's apartment for dinner and drinks because he's desperately lonely. He ends up staying over, and has nightmares. Apollo has to comfort him in the night.
Also features Apollo's cat, Mikeko, as a major character.
My Notes: Some nice hurt/comfort. Glasses!Klavier is a nice headcanon that I enjoy.
can i go where you go by parchmints | T | 40.5k
Author’s Summary: Apollo Justice has rotten luck: he actually wins the grand prize for a mail-in contest, but It's a couple's getaway to a fancy ski lodge in the mountains and Apollo is aggressively single. With no one to go with, Apollo offers them to Klavier since surely, a rockstar would be able to find a date before then, but Klavier has a better idea—they go together and pretend they're a couple. That way, they both get a vacation, plus free food and wine.
And well, Apollo's never been one to pass up free food.
My Notes: A very good fake dating fic. I loved every bit of this.
Signed, St. Nostalgia by Synthpop | T | 26.5k
Author’s Summary: The Wright Anything Agency has earned itself an award for outstanding achievement, courtesy of one of the most renowned criminal attorney conferences in the country. Apollo has been tasked with accepting the award on everyone's behalf—problem is, the conference is in Chicago, and he doesn't have any means of getting there. Luckily for him, though, a certain prosecutor is more than happy to give him a ride.
My Notes: Roadtrip fics are always fun, and this is no exception. Written for last year’s Klapollo Minibang.
undeniable you (the currents pulling me onward) by @letapollojusticesayfuck | T | 59.1k
Author’s Summary: Kristoph Gavin is found dead in his prison cell, and Klavier Gavin is the prime suspect.
With nobody else available to defend him, Apollo Justice flies in from Khura'in to take the case--but during the course of the trial and its aftermath, long-hidden secrets come to light.
My Notes: Love the development of Kristoph's world and his complex relationship with Klavier.
it’s all that i am, and it’s all that i have by @x-eternalmagic | T | 58.4k
Author’s Summary: Apollo sucks in a breath, attempting to steel his nerves. Should he honestly send this...? He doesn't even know who this man is. This is a huge, huge mistake. But, even so, he hits send before he can remind himself of how awful an idea this is.
Dear You,
I think I love you. Just wanted you to know.
From,
Me
Klavier's phone pings with an email notification, and the moment he reads it, the smile fades from his face. God, this was so much easier when he didn't know that the sender hated him in real life.
[ or, the you've got mail au. ]
My Notes: I love a good enemies-to-lovers story, and while I’m unfamiliar with You’ve Got Mail, this fic is impeccable. I love the lowered-stakes of the music store business.
Hot for Justice by indirectkissesiniceland | T | 43.4k
Author’s Summary: After the events of State v. Misham, Klavier finds himself in a slump, stressed at the prosecutor's office and unable to pen new songs. To his surprise, he finds creative inspiration—and unexpected feelings—spending time with Apollo. Now if only he could release the new tracks without raising any suspicion as to whom his love songs are for.
My Notes: A humorous and light-hearted fic. Love Klavier finding inspiration in his pining for Apollo. Some parts of this might trigger second-hand embarrassment for those that easily get that.
the streak of green in sunset skies by @crowned-ladybug | T | 18.6k
Author’s Summary: “I guess I needed a moment when I was just...Klavier,” he laughs at the absurdity of it, but saying it out loud hurts more than he'd expected. It’s been so long since he'd existed without doing it for other people that he's not sure where the expectations end and he begins anymore. He's not sure there's even a him left under everything.
Mia nods, and when Klavier looks over she’s smiling, and he doesn't understand how. “Klavier, who pretends really badly to know nothing about coffee so that Diego will get to talk his ear off about it.”
---
For seven years, Klavier searches for answers. Along the way, he finds a family.
My Notes: A canon divergence AU featuring found family as the primary theme. Love the slow reconciliation and bridge-building between Klavier and the others.
amor meus, pondus meum by vnjc | T | 3.2k
Author’s Summary: It’s not like their separation agreement had a ‘The parties agree to never sleep together again’ clause, but as far as Apollo knows, the point of separation is, well, separation. Not this. At least that’s what he remembers from law school.
On reconciliation, loss, and awkward conversations. Not in that order.
My Notes: Love the usage of history here and the general structure & vibe of this fic.
if it’s really me you seek by @hychlorions | T | 83.3k
Author’s Summary: “Anyway,” Ema keeps going, fully ignoring his sarcasm in favor of staring at a neat corner where the walls meet the ceiling. “I asked if he wanted to go to your party together, but he said he wasn’t going.”
“What?” Apollo suddenly finds it very hard to breathe. “Why?”
“Hell if I know,” Ema says nonchalantly, but then she turns to him with a smirk. “See if you can figure it out: I believe he told me, and I quote—ahem—'Ach, I would, Fräulein, but I believe Herr Justice would be more comfortable without me there.’”
Or, when Apollo comes home from Khura'in only to learn that Prosecutor Gavin is avoiding him, the last thing he expected was for Gavin to offer to let Apollo stay at his house while he looks for a new apartment.
My Notes: It’s been a while since I last read this fic, but I love the progression of the relationship in this fic.
This list is not a comprehensive list of every single Klapollo fic I think people should read. You can check out my AO3 Bookmarks for more recs, if you so wish.

FNV Companions play Project Zomboid
A/N: Forewarning - i’m not good at zomboid and have a far from comprehensive understanding of the game. This is based off my experience of it. Spoiler warning for Project Zomboid Lore. Also,,,just suspend your disbelief for a moment and pretend that a game like Zomboid could be run on a typical fallout terminal.
Some companions are left out because I don’t know enough about them to write them well, apologies in advance.
Special thanks to my good friend, who wants to be credited as ‘Creative Bounce-Wall’
Tumblr media
Base Game Companions:
Arcade
Not a huge fan of the game's solo experience and only plays with other people. Life’s hard enough, and if he’s trying to unwind on a weekend or on his days off, he’s really only looking to have a good time. Project zomboid isn’t his speed of game at all.  Despite this, he loves to roleplay (as a doctor, surprise.) makes very good use of the empty notebooks, has a lore-compliant full ‘7 days of our lives’ soap opera going on between his character and a few others. Could (and probably should) put it in a book and sell it, how good it is.
DO NOT ask him to clear out buildings. His murdering skills IRL do not translate to zomboid. Lost 10 characters trying to clear out one neighbourhood block on Muldraugh and is still a bit upset about it. Establish a base, grab some materials, THEN invite Arcade to join. He’ll keep the place organised, level up his stats and keep everyone else alive. Despite this,he has yet to make it to winter, poor thing. He also turns jumpscare volume down. Once, he screamed so loud that he awoke the whole mormon fort.
GAMEPLAY:
General: He spawn in Muldraugh, and ONLY Muldraugh. It’s comfortable, has tons of loot, and, most importantly, he knows the place like the back of his hand. Respawn is OFF. Once burned, twice shy. Canned goods set to abundant, Melee weapons, Medical and Literature set to common. All clothing is unlocked at the start, but only so he can wear medical gear.Otherwise, standard apocalypse settings.
Character(s): For the way he likes to play, you’d think he’d choose less negative traits.
Career set to Doctor (of course) Starts in muldraugh and works his way up to the medical centre above the neighbourhood with high fences next to the grocery store (you’ll know it when you see it). Lives upstairs, turns the downstairs into a makeshift hospital. His character is fixated on finding a cure, or at least a way to slow down the virus from spreading, which eventually evolves into staying alive while the world goes to hell around him. There’s a whole character arc that’s constantly developing, and he puts a lot of care and love into his character. The first time a long-term character died, he didn’t touch the game for two weeks.
-Negative Traits: Short Sighted/Unfit/High thirst/Restless sleeper/Conspicuous/Slow Learner/Slow Reader/Hard of Hearing/Pacifist
-Positive traits: Cat’s Eyes/Dextrous/Outdoorsman/Nutritionist/Lucky/Former Scout/Adrenaline Junkie/Herbalist/Strong
-Mods: True actions:Dancing and True actions act 2.Lying/ Zuper cart carts and trolleys/Snow is water/Players on map/Expanded helicopter event/Smoker + Le gourmet Revolution patch
Boone
Like Arcade, it took a while for him to get into Project Zomboid. It’s not that he doesn’t like it, just that it’s a little complicated. He played the tutorial six times before he felt ready to actually play the game (no shade ofc).Eventually found his groove, and hasn’t deviated since. Really enjoys the punishing aspect of the game, only roleplays to the extent of going along with other people’s  characters. Doesn’t pay attention to the lore. More or less just plays the game as himself. Gets put into the designated mercenary role if playing with others, and is given a dedicated safe room with full amenities and services, in exchange for clearing out requested buildings. Surprisingly hasn’t died as many times as everyone else. Currently on a quest to clear out Louisville, and god help anyone who gets in his way.
Gameplay:
General: Initially spawned in March Ridge and didn’t have a good time. Once he conquered that area, he moved on to greater challenges. Fuck being a badass, this guy is death incarnate. Doesn’t matter what settings he’s playing on, he’ll have 10 in all stats before you know it. His only real request is to increase how many hours an in-game day is from 1 to 4.
Character(s): Death incarnate, all black everything. Pulled a giga-brain move and chose Security Guard as a career instead of veteran. His only recurring habit is to make a memorial for Carla and his unborn child (a grave filled in, with a box of mostly sentimental supplies no one is allowed to touch).
Negative Traits: Illiterate(LMAO)/High Thirst/Slow Healer/Slow Learner /Underweight/Smoker/Sunday Driver
Positive Traits: Adrenaline Junkie/Hunter/Thick Skinned/Athletic/Strong
Mods: Improvised Backpacks/Brita’s Weapons Mod + Armour Mod/Mediaeval Weapons Mod/Scrap Weapons/Adrenaline-Panic Counters Tiredness
Cass
”You can be a smoker, but can’t be an alcoholic in this game? Fuck this shit.”
Jk but she’s raiding Liquorty-split first. Don’t call her along if you’re not planning on swinging by there. Enjoys roleplaying, but not to the same extent as Arcade.Mostly dicks around with joke characters, her favourite being Long Johnson, who’s proficient in long blunt weapons. Doesn’t break the immersion of other players, though. Capitalises on Boone's Bloodlust and follows behind him like a vulture, scavenging all the loot he ignores to sell at exorbitant prices. Doesn’t pay too much attention to the lore, only to the extent of making relevant conversation with whatever roleplayer ends up in her shop. Main clientele base consists of the hardcore builders.
Gameplay:
General: Spawned in Riverside and legitimately thought her game was broken until she came across Boone. More than a little upset that there’s no Merchant career, or any NPC’s, but quickly found a way to make it all work in her favour. Enjoys a challenge, but doesn’t want things too intense. Respawns are off, infection mortality takes 1-2 weeks to kick in, and infection can only be spread via saliva. No loot respawns, so that her monopoly will remain unchallenged.
Character(s): Tried on a few personas, but her favourite has to be Long Johnson, former saleswoman for outdoor fishing supplies, proficient in spears and phallic puns. Goal number one is to stay alive. Goa number two is to get stupid rich, so she can stay alive. Career set to Park Ranger
Negative Traits: Unfit/Very Underweight/Smoker/Sleepyhead/High Thirst/Athsmatic/Prone to Illness
Positive Traits:Speed Demon/Gardener/Inconspicuous/Lucky/Strong/Organised/Handy
Mods: Better Sorting/Improvised Backpacks/Brita’s Weapons Mod + Armour Mod/Mediaeval Weapons Mod/Scrap Weapons/ Zuper cart carts and trolleys/Recycle and Reuse almost anything
Veronica
An actual masochist. The more she gets punished, the more she enjoys it. Gt gifted the game and literally did not stop playing for two days straight. The thing that peeled her away from the screen was Raul threatening to smash the holotape.  Has a set preset for her canon fodder character, whenever she needs to clear out an area she really has no business even approaching, but really only uses them to further her character’s plot, of course. Master of roleplaying. She and Arcade Get Into It. Unlike him, who has one dedicated character, she has a rotating cast of characters. Her favourite is an absolute fucking meme, and she will not let go of it no matter how Arcade feels. She's the only one who's made it to winter during solo play on default Apocalypse settings. Got pretty spoiled while playing with Arcade, and now sets Canned Goods and Medical supplies to abundant. First one to perfect the fence lunge strat, and a master of peeling hordes until they're all dead. Another motherfucker who needs to commit her character’s deeds to paper and publish it. All of her characters keep journals. She’ll forget about them, come across a corpse that died in an…interesting way and bring herself to tears with shit she forgot she wrote. Buries all her characters, and all the zombies in her area too. Really really enjoys playing ‘A really CD DA’, and is the only one who can really get anywhere with it (swear i’m not just showing my ass here).
Gameplay:
General: Muldraugh is the only valid spawn point, it has EVERYTHING. An added bonus is the objectively best base is less than a day's walk. The warehouse is even on the way there. (It’s the cabin in the woods with a well, up the street from the food stand and across from the warehouse, it's so safe).
Character(s): (these are the traits for her main character, though it varies depending on what character she’s playing at the moment)
Negative Traits: Deaf (laugh all you want, it's free points) Unfit/Smoker/Slow Reader/Slow Learner/High Thirst/Prone to illness/Cowardly
Positive Traits: Eagle Eyed/ Strong/ Fast Healer/Adrenaline Junkie /Runner /Graceful /Inconspicuous/Cat's Eyes
Mods: Brita’s Weapons Mod + Armour Mod/Mediaeval Weapons Mod/Scrap Weapons/Scrap Armour/True actions/More traits/Weapon Condition indicator/Sapph’s cooking/Skill recovery Journal (she tries to get Arcade to use this one, but he won’t fr some godforsaken reason)/ Just throw them out the window/
ED-E
Curse the soul who made it possible for this robot to interface with this software. ED-E sees the whole venture not as a way to interact with his companions in a meaningful, perhaps revolutionary way, but as a means to fuck with them even more. The main victim of his devious schemes is Arcade, of course. Machines might be able to forget, but ED-E has Arcade’s condescending remark burned into his hardware. In hindsight, it was less than wise to get on a debatably sentient machine’s bad side. Software being his native form of communication, ED-E was easily able to woo the application into doing his bidding causing game-breaking bugs, corrupting save files and overall making things unbearable in ways that targeted Arcade, and Arcade alone. When forced to play fair, he goes out of his way to attract as many zombies as possible and lead them directly to where Arcade’s clinic is.
"Forget being an enclave spy bot, 'ED-E', as you call him, is a malevolent piece of software and should be terminated immediately" - Arcade Gannon
Gameplay:
General: His one goal is to find Arcade and make him as miserable as possible, and the only thing really stopping him is the godforsaken lag from too many uglies in one area.  He's left some surprise hordes other characters have stumbled across (much to his amusement).
Character(s): Default character. Unemployed. Death comes in many forms, after all.
Negative Traits: Claustrophobic/Agoraphobic/Cowardly/Slow Healer/Short Sighted/Overweight/Conspicuous
Positive Traits: Sprinter, Athletic, Strong, Thick Skin, Adrenaline Junkie
Mods: None. None needed.
DLC Companions:
Joshua Graham ||WARNING, VERY OOC||
Step one: Clain holy grace church.
Step two: Raid police station
Not really a fan of video games and wouldn’t play if it weren’t for the begging, pleading and bribing of others. Really only does it for the benefit of others, and doesn’t enjoy it much. Really mellowed out after the events of Honest Hearts. Touching a game, much less Project Zomboid would be inconceivable before. Doesn’t really ‘get’ the game, but is surprisingly competent. Good, even. Thinks there’s more enjoyment to be had away from a terminal screen, and doesn’t mind that others play so long as they don’t neglect their responsibilities. Understands enough of the game to know how things work, and will suggest solutions if someone should ever become stuck somehow. Encourages the dead horses who play to transcribe the entire mormon Bible into the game, as memorization practice.
Gameplay: Spawned in muldraugh only because it was the first option, really. Default settings.
Character(s): His one (and only character) is more or less himself, sans burns. No real dimension to them, and he only plays if someone needs help clearing out a building or wants to show him something they’re proud of. Career set to veteran. If he could be convinced, and if there was a public server with a good amount of players, he could start delivering sermons, as a way to reach more people. Actually serves to deepen the roleplay experience for some. Will do Bible study with those who are genuinely interested.
Negative Traits: Sunday driver/Slow Reader/Unlucky/Slow Reader/Weak Stomach/Thin Skinned/Slow Healer/Restless Sleeper/Sleepyhead/High Thirst
Positive Traits: Dextrous/First Aider/Eagle Eyed/Athletic/Strong
Mods: None, but will play with whatever anyone else plays.
Ulysses || WARNING, VERY OOC||
Never enjoyed the game and overall ignored the lore until he discovered the debug menu and cheats, then he became very interested. He’s a major fan of the horror genre and setting, but detests horror games; real life is strenuous enough, and a game like Zomboid is not relaxing to him. The realism and overall environment, however, piqued his analytical nature. He created a sandbox world with no zombies just so that he could absorb the world and the lore uninterrupted. Through this, he came to love the game not for what it was, but what it could be molded to be. Ulysses is a man who enjoys writing as much as he does reading, and Zomboid serves as a beta testing ground his characters deeds and thoughts before he commits then to paper. To Ulysses, Zomboid is a visual, interactive writing tool. If there's a gamebreaking bug discovered, expect him to have patched it a week later. The dev team has reached out and offered him a position, but he had yet to reply (he just wants to finish his book first tbh) In this regard, His greatest ally is ED-E. The bot's antics serve as free bug testing for just about every aspect of the game. They haven't interacted at all, but so long as ED-E doesn't fuck with Ulysses specifically, the world will know peace.
Author of some of the most immersive and comprehensive mods in the workshop. Forum users have to assume Ulysses is always watching, always looking for an aspect to improve. While mostly focused on immersion, he's made a few joke ones (shocker, I know). Equal distribution between mechanic and location mods. His personal favourites are the 'Corpses as fertilizer' mod, the 'Back Alley Surgeon mod - which relies on his NPC mods - as well as his Expanded Cannibals and Improved Isolation Hallucinations.
Gameplay:
General: Overall gameplay depends on what character he’s puppeting around. Spawns depend on who, or what map he’s playing on, though the most frequent location is in Rosewood. Debug menu is up, and God Mode is toggled on. Settings may vary, but the staples are Sandbox mode with respawn turned off, Weapons set to abundant, Nighttime sprinters, Low population, Water/Electricity Shutoff in 0-2 months and helicopter events set to Often.
Character(s): Ulysses has several, numbering in the dozens. All are unique and serve a purpose in his overall plot. Each character has their own preset
Negative Traits: Depends on the character, but Slow Reader gives him time to write and edit a few paragraphs.
Positive Traits: Depends on the character, but dexterous is almost always a must.
Mods: Authentic Z/Superior Survivors/4-colour Bic pen/Cannibalism/Assisted Suicide/The Only Cure/True action (all versions)/Expanded Helicopter Events/Skill Recovery Journal
He uses more mods on a rotating basis, depending on what setting he has in mind.
(I’m sorry if this feels like a copout, he’s just complex. Please don’t crucify me.)
