"He has arguably seen her in the most tender light out of everyone in her life" is the reason why I refuse to sit back & watch people treat his friendship with Penelope like a flaw. He sought her out, confided in her, defended her, LISTENED to her (something that no one else did, and just because she & the audience didn't like his response to some of the things she told him doesn't mean he wasn't listening), appreciated her wit and just altogether enjoyed her company. He always had time for her & she'd always been worth it to him. "Didn't see her" my arse cheeks.

I will never tire of repeating that there is absolutely NO WAY one who actually honours Colin's friendship with Penelope could ever treat it as a character flaw on Colin's part. If you believe Colin is an idiot who didn't see or appreciate what was right in front of him, you hate their friendship. If you consider the fact that he didn't reciprocate Penelope's feelings as something he needs to face consequences for or learn some lesson from, you hate their friendship. If you think every moment he spent not being in love with her is a moment he spent not really seeing her, you hate their friendship. If you interpret every moment he spent living his life in a way that didn't cater to Penelope's romantic feelings for him as him being flippant, cruel & careless towards her, if you interpret it as him making her suffer & think he should atone for it, you hate their friendship (but also, you don't really care for Colin as a character of his own, which you are allowed to do I guess, but then understand that that's a you problem & don't paint it is a short-coming on Colin's part. that shit is all you). If you believe that every moment he spent just being her friend is a moment he spent treating her as if she was less than, you hate their friendship. If you believe that every moment he spent not reciprocating her feelings is a moment he spent taking her for granted, you hate their friendship.

I guess I'm just thoroughly confused that supposed friends-to-lovers fans seem to have a very poor opinion of friendship and ultimately believe that it is inferior to romance. Because that's just the crux of it all, right? If Colin is supposedly lacking for offering friendship, then the implication here is that there's something wrong with friendship.

Another very confusing implication from all of this is that Colin isn't a good person and/or a worthy partner. Because all the things mentioned above aren't things that someone who'd be considered a good person or a sound choice for a potential partner would do. Those are not ways they'd be described. Colin, as interpreted by many (dare i say most) Polin fans, is essentially dull, cruel & shallow, among other unflattering attributes. And that leads to the conclusion that many (dare i say most) Polin fans appear to like neither Colin nor Penelope. Because the way I see it, you can't like Colin if you think so poorly of him, and you certainly can't like Penelope if you think being paired with that guy that you think so poorly of is what she deserves.

I guess what I'm getting at is that I have come to the puzzling realisation that some of the biggest peddlers of mischaracterisations of Colin are Polin fans, and this has made for a very strenuous fandom experience for me. It's frustrating & confusing. I hope that the fandom will course-correct at some point, but we are still dealing with "Colin needed to grovel" nonsense in the year of our Lord 2025, so I guess I won't be holding my breath 😭

a lil drabble wherein you and oliver had a baby on accident... lol

you work as a waitress at the restaurant that the JP soccer team frequently goes to whenever they finish training or celebrate a win

aiku has been eyeing you for a while now, but you're just focused on work and was a bit aloof so you didn't notice

but one fateful night (lol), aiku was drunk and couldn't hold back anymore and started flirting with you. he asked you to take a break from work and sit next to him. given that the JP soccer team is popular and they're VIP/regulars at the restaurant, your boss told you to not refuse... and the rest is history lmao. you already know what happened 🤭

aiku never saw you again after that tho 🥺 he got busy with practices, games, and participating in blue lock. the next time he was able to visit the restaurant was after almost half a year. so he never saw you... until like 2 years later when he got a knock on the door of his condo unit LMAO

he saw you carrying a 1 year-old baby boy with hair and eyes colored in dark purple and green... 💜💚

he was too stunned to speak 😂 and all you could say at first was "may I come in?" lol

he couldn't even form the questions he wanted to ask, so you took it upon yourself to give the answers. you didn't tell him about the pregnancy cuz you knew that MF was a playboy 💀 you knew he wouldn't take responsibility 💀😭 so you just kept him out of it, decided to keep the baby, and raise him all on your own. you thought that all these would help you avoid stress.

aiku was still standing there wide-eyed lol.. so you continued

"so.. i know you're wondering why I'm here. don't worry, I didn't change my mind. I'm still gonna raise our son on my own. i'm not here to ask for child support or anything like that. i just need a place to stay in for 1 month as my new place is getting fixed. my lease in my old place is up and there are new occupants already, but my new unit is still not prepared. my family has disowned me due to the accidental pregnancy and none of my friends have extra space. so... yeah..."

you rambled on rather embarrassingly, hanging your head low as you finished

after like half a minute of silence, you heard aiku say "okay. sure."

you lifted your head in surprise, you didn't expect him to say yes quickly

days go by and while the atmosphere has a tinge of awkwardness, it wasn't too bad and both of you were quite comfortable in each other's presence. he leaves the apartment to you as he goes to work, and you have a work-from-home job which is perfect as you need to take care of the baby. you also took the initiative of cleaning aiku's condo unit. there's a certain feel of domesticity 🥹

sometimes, you would see aiku try to carry and play with your son. he's so awkward with it but it's endearing to see him try 🥹 cuz tbh you prepared for the worst, which is him not showing any interest in your son at all

(un) fortunately, you got a call from your new landlord saying that the renovation of your unit is facing delays. you told aiku about it and asked if you and the baby could stay for another month, to which he quickly agreed, "sure. no problem", with his signature lil ass smirk 😏😂

one night, aiku held a party at his unit. you know that he's keeping you and the baby a secret from everyone, and you had no problem with it. so his solution was to rent the empty unit next door for that day so you and the baby could stay there while his friends and associates are partying in his place.

as the party was going on, aiku sneakily checked in on you and your son to see if you need anything or if there's any problem. you smiled and said that it's all good. he wanted to stay a bit more but his friends would get suspicious if he's gone for long, they didn't even know where he went lol 😂 so he left soon after but given that he's quite tipsy already, he failed to close the door properly, which you didn't notice

a drunk sendou saw where aiku came from and asked why he was in the next unit. aiku just waved him off and said that he's seeing things. aiku thought sendou believed him and walked away, unaware that sendou went to the next unit... and pushed the door clumsily, swinging it open, scaring you.

sendou asked loudly and drunkenly "why does that baby look exactly like aiku??!! 😱"... he asked it twice or thrice and you just stood there shocked

aiku and the people in the party next door went to your unit... and that's how word got out that aiku is officially a dad 💀😂 fucking sendou lmao

even though aiku and his teammates were hungover the next morning and weren't supposed to go to work, they still did because the JFU manager and PR staff required them to do so lol

they crafted a careful plan on how to handle the situation

they decided to keep the whole thing under wraps for as long as possible, and in case it still gets leaked, then they would just release a statement that aiku is taking responsibility of the child and mother by giving child support, etc.

aiku disagreed, declaring that he wants to reveal the truth now.. the truth that he's living with you and your son. and that the two of you are trying to work things out so you could stay together as a family

everyone was shookt af lmao. like, is this the Oliver Aiku they've known all this time??? 😂

but he had to make a disclaimer that you’re still unaware of his suggested plan, so he told everyone that he had to consult you first and that it will all depend on your decision. if you agree to work things out with him, then aiku himself will release a statement. but if you don't want to be involved with him, then the original plan of JFU and the PR team will be followed

that evening, you and aiku had a deep and serious discussion, about the present and the future, about your son together.

tbh, you were surprised that he wants to work things out with you, that he wants to be a family with you and your baby boy. you admitted that you're scared because given his track record of being a ladies' man, he might suddenly change his mind down the line or cheat on you. you’re afraid of his probable infidelity.

but aiku assured you that he wants you, he even said that he tried to find you again a couple of times 2 years ago, but with no luck. he admitted that never happened before. him? wanting to see and be with a girl for a second time?? fucking unheard of lol. until you 🥹

he knew that if he hides you or lies about you and your baby together, he would lose you forever. even tho you were fine being a secret, he knew you deserve better. he truly loves you and doesn't want to let you go.

This man would look at (M/n) and think "goals." He'd always playfully squeeze (M/n)'s muscles. They'd get along quite easily, I'd say. Gym bros. And (M/n) would be always excited for Dwaekki Gym.

He'd sit there like an excited school kid watching their parent cook their favorite if (M/n)'s in the kitchen. He'd be used to the jokes that are made when they stand next to each other. They even have matching Snoopy and Woodstock t-shirts. I definitely don't need to mention that these two would DEVOUR girlgroup dances. (M/n) would also playfully fight with Wooyoung. "Changbin's mine."

Scenario

At a concert, they were all playing around and a fan holds up a sign with Changbin's picture from the Case 143 MV that says "Can I be your boyfriend?"

Changbin makes an X with his arms and points to (M/n) who had Minho's hand on his butt (nothing new). The fan screams "HE'S CHEATING ON YOUUUUU".

Hwang Hyunjin

Would be a bit blushy at first. He'd probably take some time to warm up to (M/n). But once he's comfortable with (M/n), he'd ask questions. "Did it hurt?" "What's that inspired by?" He'd recommend tattoo ideas as well. "How about a rose and thorns on your hip?"

Definitely would draw (M/n). No doubt about it. Would either draw a simple side profile or draw his beautiful hands. Always holding (M/n)'s hands and would definitely bite his thighs. They'd appear on Studio Choom's Mix & Match together and would be an iconic dance duo. Would watch Kdramas together and (M/n) would poke fun at some stupidities just to get on Hyunjin's nerves.

Scenario (M/n) grinning like an idiot while Hyunjin does body paint on his un-tattooed arm. He leans in and pecks Hyunjin's forehead. Of course, he'd let out a soft laugh seeing that beautiful eye smile of our dumpling. He then shows off the body paint on live.

Han Jisung

Fanboy. Fan. Boy. He loves (M/n)'s tattoos and loves how easily he can pick him up. Jokingly calls him 'bodyguard' and loves to hear him rap. Was a bit flustered by how attentive (M/n) was when he started rambling about something. (M/n) has a habit of babying him because he's a smol bean. Chair? What's that? He only knows (M/n)'s lap. And (M/n) would 100% shield him and glare at people who don't understand privacy at airports. He'd have an arm wrapped around Jisung at all times. Jisung would also fangirl over (M/n)'s photoshoots.

Scenario

(M/n) peacefully spinning around with Changbin at a concert while Han grabs him by the arm and goes, "Jeogiyo...hokshi yeoja chingu isseoyo?" And then (M/n) picks him up and spins him around while laughing that cute laugh of his.

Lee Felix

He was a teeny tiny bit intimidated by (M/n) but the moment (M/n) introduced himself and smiled, Felix knew that the guy was just another cute crackhead like the rest of them. He would love to play video games with (M/n) and (M/n) may or may not have let him win. Both of them would make midnight snacks and have conversations which are either really deep or really high. Also, (M/n) definitely compares hand sizes and coos at Yongbok's tiny hands. Also, (M/n) is a human heater. Definitely perfect for cuddles. Scenario

He was a little awkward at first, since he's not used to seeing someone so intimidating. But also because he takes a bit of time to warm up to someone. (M/n) and Seungmin would do a lot of lives together and it becomes sort of a series (like Chan's Room) since they match each other's energy really well. (M/n) is also someone baby stays would consider "the normal one" like Seungmin. But boy are they wrong.. Scenario

Would be intimidated. Especially since he was such a smol babie and going through a lot of stress. But one day, (M/n) packs him lunch for school and Jeongin almost cried. He felt so guilty for being scared around (M/n) but (M/n) assured him that it's okay. (M/n) also helped him with school during trainee days. He'd have a fun way of teaching and he wanted Jeongin to at least pass. He helped Jeongin through a lot and would make sure he took care of himself. He's extra soft for our maknae. You sat on one of the red swing sets, Oliver on the other, barely fitting on it because of his trained body. He looks at you with a playful smirk, ready for anything you've prepared for him.

"Oliver Aiku, heartthrob of Japan's National Football team and, less importantly, their captain, has made the terrible decision to be my very first guest in Swing Set Date." At this, Oliver chuckles, giving the camera a playful wink. "He plays defence and is known for his high jumps and strong presence in the court."

"Nice to be here," he greets. You turn to him and he raises his eyebrows playfully.

"So."

"So."

"You date a lot, right?"

Oliver cackled earnestly, the chains of the swing rattling just a bit. "That's your first question?!"

"Oliver, I need you to know there's this bet going on at Polymarket about how many girls TMZ will catch you with by the end of the year. I bet $50 on 7, and you're short by two, so throw me a bone, man."

The man continues chuckling and then nods, a grin still on his face. "Promise I'll think of you during my next two dates."

"Damn, best flattery I've heard all month," you comment, switching the cards in your hand.

"You look like you receive a lot of compliments."

It's your turn to smile. Arching an eyebrow, you look back at him. "Is that a compliment?"

He leans closer. "You want it to be?"

You sigh. "I would be close to winning my bet, so..."

Oliver cackles again.

"Okay, so this section is quite easy. I'm sure you've done it before."

"You need to stop acting as if you haven't seen all my interviews before," he teases. You grin, furrowing your nose and decide to ignore him.

"Okay, pop question, are you ready? I'll tell you one word and you have to reply with only one word as well."

"Sure, darling."

"That's two words," you corrected him. He lifted his hands in surrender.

"Sorry."

"Nice. Okay, easy start," you say, looking down at your card. "Football?"

"Life."

"Parties."

"Victory."

"Girls."

"Pretty."

"Boys."

He chuckled, licking his upper teeth slowly. The camera zooms in on his expression.

"...Fun."

"Nice," you compliment him, pleasantly surprised.

"Thanks," he grins, winking at you.

You resume with the questions. "Snuffy."

"Leader."

"Team."

"Family."

"Goals."

"Greatness."

"Okay, that was good," you say. "You had trouble coming up with any reply? Was it a bit difficult at time?"

"Easy."

"Dude, we're not playing anymore." 

"Sorry. Ah— fuck."

Oliver snorts. "Darling, you're gonna kill me with these. You know most of them are fake, right?"

"You'll have the chance to explain yourself then," you say with a smug grin. Oliver nods, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"Okay, shoot."

"Okay," you clear your throat, shuffling in your seat as you read from your cards. "A certain two-coloured football player from Japan NT is rumoured to be doing all the paperwork needed to obtain Swiss citizenship so he can go and play for their NT."

"False," he quickly says. "I already have dual citizenship. I chose to play here and will continue to do so in the future. All the love to my Swiss fans, but my home is in Japan."

You hum in acknowledgement. "Okay, next one. Japan's NT known playboy—"

"Okay, how do you even know that's me?" he interrupts you. You arch an eyebrow and continue reading.

"Japan's NT known playboy and captain of the team—"

"My bad."

"—was caught being overly friendly with a teammate at a nightclub last February. His hands were everywhere and a couple of kisses were stolen."

At this Oliver sighs, a knowing grin on his face. He makes a pause for dramatic effect as he licks his upper teeth again.

"True."

"Which teammate?" you immediately ask.

"That's not part of the item."

"C'mon, I want to know," you ask, with a pout. "The people want to know."

"Okay, tell you what. I'll whisper it to you."

After this, Oliver gets painfully close to you, his lips almost touching your ear as he whispers his confession. The camera catches how you fluster, just a tiny bit. When he sits back, Oliver notices it too, and draws an eat-shitting grin on his face.

"You know... I can see it. I do," you say, trying your best to appear composed.

"Yeah?" he smirks.

"Somehow it makes sense and at the same time it's incomprehensible," you admit. "Like, I think if he were to do it with anyone, it would be you."

Oliver laughs. "You're so cute with me, are you sure you don't want that date?"

"I don't like to interfere with the betting system. I take it seriously, you know?" you say, arching an eyebrow playfully.

"Have you made any other bets?"

"That Isagi is gonna say a slur before Christmas."

"Can you send me the link for that one?"

By this time, Oliver has lost count on how many times he's laughed at your antics. He's obsessed with it. "You're not serious."

"If you wish, you can choose an alternate question," you offer.

"Sure. Yeah," he nods.

"Rank the three players in Japan's NT that get laid the most."

"God. Okay. Uh..." Oliver shuffles in the swing, looking up as he tries to remember his teammates conquests the best. "Okay. 'd have to say, Otoya... then Chigiri, then me."

Your cards almost fall out from your hands.

"Hopefully after this interview, yeah—" He laughs when you hit his arm with your cards.

"There's no way Chigiri is a slut."

"He's pretty as fuck, though," Oliver reasons.

"Yeah! But he's so curt, I didn't picture him going after—"

"I never said he goes after people though," he says, pointing at you. "They look for him and well, then he takes his pick."

You raise your eyebrows, impressed. "Huh." you Pause, lost in your thoughts for a couple of seconds. "Is there like, an audition process, do you maybe have his numb—?"

"I certainly did."

"'was talking to the fans, not you, but okay." Oliver laughs. "So, now you can nominate three other players to come here with me."

"Not one to share, but sure," he agrees, pursing his lips just a tiny bit. "Hmm, okay, let's go with Isagi and the Itoshi siblings, either Rin or Sae."

"Great! Well, you know what to do now," you say, making a peace sign at the camera. "Vote for your favourite, and I'll see you next time!"

Happy Halloween! I had a wild thought and decided to see if I could dress up the few households I've made in the Sims this year. I didn't want to mess up the individual households, so I saved them to the gallery and started a new save so I could put them all in one household. Because I thought it'd be easier to control all eight than travel with one set, then invite the others to the amusement park I built.

Don't do that to yourself if you're only used to keeping watch over 1-2 sims, especially if you leave autonomy on. Under the cut are some notes and more pics when I sent them to the amusement park.

In the first 10 minutes of dumping them all in one house, we had MF!Hanyou Inuyasha and Kagome "woohooing (a butt pat at best) in the kitchen, pissing Youkai Inuyasha off because she was "cheating" on him. (Thanks to MCCC I fixed that because that didn't happen before Lovestruck changed stuff) but this also trapped everyone in the dining room cause no one would walk through there.

Other things you might find funny:

Everyone likes to gather in the bathroom for some reason, and it's always when someone needs to pee.

MW!Inuyasha does not give a shit and will walk through the house naked. Does a full house tour then gets embarrassed. SIR -

They were fascinated with the flat screen tv but continued to watch terrible movies...?

Because I used the WW mod to help adjust poses since I'm still not used to dropping the teleporter object in the right place, I didn't think to disable some...features. The shower has been a favored place for them to go. Again, whenever someone has to pee. I even put in a second bathroom but it wasn't good enough.

Turns out the ones that have hats with their costumes like to keep their hat on at this time. Clicking stop action is not nearly as satisfying as it would be to turn a hose on these sims.

MW!Inuyasha's costume is cut so high that I needed to disable another feature that I originally thought was an odd shadow. Nearly choked on my cough drop when I realized the shrubs needed to be ripped out.

No one wanted to actually sleep in a bed. Everyone took turns napping on the couch. I'm glad I didn't go heavy on decorating this house. Ungrateful shits.

At the amusement park lot I made in Windenburg, there's 5 functional rides, a haunted house, go cart course, ferris wheel, some carnival games, and food. Enough to keep sims busy and boy did it...

Gotta appreciate how they picked which cart they got in on their own. Don't remember who won though, I was chasing down another sim.

This haunted coaster was in a basement level of the lot. No joke this was Kagome's face the entire time.

They really liked playing the games and emptying the households funds. Lost track of a sim? Probably throwing darts.

But there's also the haunted house, and if the sim wasn't playing games, they were probably going through the haunted house. Youkai Inuyasha wet himself twice but kept going back.
