Friendly reminder that Michael Trent was a douchebag. He was not just being friendly with Lisa, he was actively leading her on. While I don’t think he had romantic interest in her other than physical attraction (hence why he was checking her ass out at her locker and smiling at her during class), he constantly tried to flirt with her on purpose, after you know what, resulting in Taffy’s interference to keep him away from her sister. This is made even more clear during THAT scene, as his tone with Lisa has completely changed when compared to each and every interaction they had before that, especially when referring to her as ‘kiddo’. He seems almost completely out of character during that entire scene, and that’s because he intentionally mislead her (and us, the audience) and why he briefly refers to himself as being dark and screwed up.

He had it coming.

I'm gonna be pissed off forever that Michael compares Lisa's poetry to Anne Sexton and Plath, and then tucks his fuckass shag cut behind his ears to be coy, coquettish. he's reaching levels of indie fuckboi that we didn't even know were possible. 'you're so... sweet, and light, and I'm all dark and fucked up. that's what makes it magic.' Creature should've hit him with Janet's car.

do y'all remember when the creature killed Michael he took a moment to turn up the stereo. why did he do that. if it's foresight or caution like to prevent anyone who might have been in the house from hearing, it's the first time he did it in any of the murders lol.

also when did he learn how a stereo works. next rewatch I'll have to look closely in Lisa's room for a similar device. there was no calculation he knew exactly where the button was to push so it must be familiar, methinks.

also also because it was already playing really really quietly that means Michael fucking turned on 'on the wings of love' to fuck Taffy. insane. and it must have been like a tape and not the radio because it ends on its own, there's silence in the room after, so no chance it was not on purpose.
