病院の入り口では 多くの人が逃げ出している 姿があった。

パニックに陥った人々を 誘導している者がいた。 桐生と宇波だった。

There were two people giving instructions to the panicking crowd. It was Kiryuu and Unami./

fc yee is a man (not a criticism of his work) and mo xiang tong xiu writes bl web novels (that’s a criticism of her entire existence)

reading diverse authors is a noble pursuit, but some people aren’t ready yet. you *have* to learn to think critically and in a historical context first or you’ll wind up reading homophobic porn and calling it diverse.

and this is true of a lot of authors. if you read liu cixin, you have to keep in mind his misogyny. if you read octavia butler you have to keep in mind some of her anti indigenous sentiments. one of the things in the comments of this post had to do with something nk jemison did, and people were getting pretty mad that someone was trying to “tear a Black woman down”.

being Black doesn’t magically free a person from bias and to pretend otherwise is dehumanizing to Black people

that goes for all marginalized people and if you don’t understand that, reading more diverse scifi isn’t going to do anything for you.

More like your general perspective of the characters

Ah, general perspective I see!!

Well to start things off, my version of Jeff is one of the ones that look kinda like two-face because that just always made the most sense to me on how he got his scars and such.

It was either that or make him bald. I don't need walter white jeff on my hands right now.

So basically how he got his nasty is kinda yee old standard Jeff goes to a party that Randy is also at, they get into a bit of a scuffle BUT Randy's friends aren't there so it's just the two of them now, they take it to the backyard, Randy gets a jug of gasoline and dumps it on the ground, Jeff slips on the gasoline and falls all over it then Randy gets a match and lights the mother fucker up 🔥🔥🍗🍗

The burns didn't completely cover his body persay but it definitely got most of it. The entire left side of his head, making Jeff completely blind on that side while on the other hand, Liu is actually completely blind in his right eye due to the fact that Jeff kinda went nutzo bonzo and attacked him and the rest of the family.

Liu's facial scars look like a messy knife slash over his right eye and some shitty smile scars,, courtesy of Jeff. Liu also has some other scars but they're mainly on his torso. Something interesting about Liu's scars is they weren't as deep and fatal as their parents were (though their mother had the most...brutal results.) So maybe Jeff didn't want to actually kill Liu 👀??

Now, I don't think Liu hates Jeff persay (Though Sully 100% does.) , but the two brothers definitely don't see each other now a days. They have occasionally tried but it always just ends in a huge fight between Liu and Jeff.

For me, Sully is a bit peculiar because I know nothing about having multiple personalities so I don't wanna make any accidental insensitive headcanons, ykw I mean? Since Liu was a kid, he's always been the quieter and kinder brother compared to loud and chaotic Jeff. The brothers certainly have changed over the years but I feel like in a lot of ways, things have stayed the same. Liu still worried about Jeff being to reckless (for good reasons, let's be honest 💀) whenever Jeff goes out killing and Jeff... still likes to annoy and antagonize Liu.

TFboy/TFfamily Basics

If you were to ask me who the biggest Chinese boy idol group is, I would say the TFfamily but they’re not just one group. When I first learned about the TFfamily I was pretty confused and googling in English didn’t really help. So I’m gonna try to summarize the knowledge that I have about the TFfamily. If information is wrong please let me know! I’m mainly using wikis and google translate so it’s totally possible there are flaws.

TFboys (1st generation)

If you interact with a lot of Chinese media you have probably already seen a TFboy. In 2023 they held a huge 10 year reunion concert. If they’ve already had a 10 year old career they must be in their late 20s or early 30s, right? But no, they debuted in 2013 when they were 12 to 13 years old. The members are Jackson Yee, Roy Wang and Karry Wang. It’s hard to contextualize how popular these three teenage boys were and are especially since they’re not talked about in the west. It’s pretty easy to find information about them in English and they do have a wiki page and K-pop profile page.

TF stands for “The Fighting” but not like physical fighting. Ya know how like in k-dramas they say “fighting” or in anime they say “ganbare” in Chinese they say “加油” (jia you) which is like a cheering phrase. The TFboys English name is used a lot but their Chinese name is 加油男孩 (the fighting boys). TF also stands for the entertainment company, time fengjun entertainment or just TFentertainment based in Chongqing. The TFboys were the ones to really start the TFfamily machine so people don’t really refer to them as the 1st generation, but timeline wise they are the first.

TNT/Teens in Times (2nd generation)

TNT officially debuted in 2019 but there was a lot of work happening before they debuted. To explain how the TFfamily machine works, I like to imagine they have a big warehouse of young Chinese boys with bowl cuts who are trained to sing and dance. I believe the generation refers to when they joined rather than age. For example, Ding Chengxin from the 2nd gen is 22 years old while Roy Wang from the 1st gen is 23 years old. They only have a one year difference but they’re in different generations. Each generation has a large group of trainees but the number of members to join the group and debut is small.

Before TNT debuted, there was tyt which included 4 future members of TNT plus another 2nd gen member named Yao Jingyuan. That group disbanded (I don’t really know why) so they created a new idol show called typhoon project which featured all 7 future members of TNT. It was originally supposed to be an elimination style show where there would be only 5 members in TNT. But the members and audience protested so all 7 members could debut together. The members are Ma Jiaqi, Ding Chengxin, Song Yaxuan, Liu Yaowen, Zhang Zhenyuan, Yan Haoxiang, and He Junlin.

Transform Project (3rd generation) + ??? 4th generation

To be honest I don’t know much about the 3rd and 4th generations. The 3rd gen is getting their own show right now on IQIYI named Transform project. On the poster of the show, it features 13 boys so I assume some will not make the final group because 13 is a crazy number of members in a boy group. I will watch the show I’ve just been busy watching the Rap of China 2024. The 4th generation members are pretty new so I don’t know much about them. According to Kpop profiles, there’s 16 members?!? Sometimes it’s too much for my brain.
