This timber box is of exceptional quality and is made with a combination of veneers including amboyna burl and ebony. It is inlaid with hand chased brass and mother-of-pearl which, has a beautiful reflective lustre. The sectioned interior is made of Rosewood and has a small removable tray. The box is lockable with a key and was made in France in the last quarter of the 19th century.
