loki's words, the sentiment of them... it meant a whole lot to mobius, it really did. and the idea of being able to just share a normal, domestic life with him... something without all the added pressure of timelines and the multiverse, everything that they had to be responsible for did seem like almost a dream. and knowing loki, knowing the pressure he's carried for pretty much his entire life, knowing the struggles that had come with that... he would place his bets on that being part of where this came from for him.

but, at the same time, mobius couldn't help but think about how, despite the troubles they ran into, the adversities they faced... he also liked the sense of adventure and excitement that had come into his life when loki had. and maybe that would be something that would still exist if their biggest worries in life were doing laundry and taxes... he didn't know, they hadn't gotten the chance to see whether or not that would be the case.

she knew she’d probably seemed a little... weird? in awe of being able to see her parents in their early days. how early, she wasn’t quite sure. she hadn’t used the tempad she’d snuck from her father’s drawer that much, was still figuring it out. and that’s when her panic came, when she began wondering if she’d come too far back, which had then prompted loki’s reassuring words. words that had caused a comforted smile to pull at lips before she realised that he didn’t seem to know. he hasn’t realised yet, has he? hasn’t recognised her. at least, if he had, he hadn’t made it obvious.

"is that what you think, that i kept everyone unharmed and safe?" she spoke with a faint quiet laugh on the matter. "if that were true, then they would be here with me still, and you wouldn't have come here to someone alone." she spoke honestly adjusting her stance as she breathed in deeply.
