Had the pleasure (not)of finding American gods in a charity shop and I thought oh cool I've wanted to read this and I don't support neil with my money so cool, purchased it and went to a pub to read it, but it genuinely grossed me out. It made my skin crawl.

Literally the first scene of this book is a guy saying "yeah I sexually assaulted my gf and think it's funny when she reacts to it" and shadow just kinda glosses over it??? What the flip shit

Reading a neil gaiman sex scene is genuinely the most cringe inducing spine crawling experience

He's like "erm yeah guys I know how to do the devil's tango and this is a big boy book for big boys"
