just realised none of the ro's are particularly shy. like gwen is quiet, but that's more broody. tim is quiet but that's just to hold back the inner jealous cocky nerd they are. and sam is happy to talk, just not about themselves. alex is loud af. the professor also isn't shy, because they volunteered to teach the class.
