so the funky magic royalty AU is based on a dream I had, and it’s even more convoluted than Sunfall and Deimos’ Understudy; both of which were also based on dreams.
It’s got JMV, DINTIS, DS, and F!JMV/F!DINTIS. Mainly just F!JMV Mercury (grouchy old Arsenic my beloved <33), but that implies the existence of everyone else. And I can’t deny onyx his husband so F!DINTIS is there too. Probably. There’s also OGMV in the corner. But that isn’t why it’s convoluted.
It’s, as I said, a royalty AU. There’s also a funky magic system (hence the name) with six base elements, which can combine into secondary and tertiary magics, but if you combine all six at once you get lightning. which is so powerful no mortal can channel it, because they are immediately vaporized. But that doesn’t make it convoluted either.
There are three main kingdoms (excluding OGMV). But one of them is very new; in fact, by the present it’s only ~5 years old. They’re still the most magically and technologically advanced kingdom in the known world and here I have to admit I’d been watching Arcane when this thing came about, so it’s a lot steampunk-y magitek/hextech stuff
This still isn’t why it’s convoluted.
It’s convoluted because of who the fuck is in charge, and where other characters came from and currently live.
Jet and Obsidian are kings of Aphotia; a kingdom which views all other elements of magic as inferior to that of darkness, and claims the god of darkness as their patron deity.
Dream is king and Jade is prince of Luminance; a kingdom which, by virtue of its own views on magic, directly opposes Aphotia; light magic is superior, and darkness is evil. Jade originally came from Aphotia and is the only reason that using tenebris isn’t completely illegal and punishable by death. He’s the voice of reason. Pats his head.
Dark is king and Nightmare’s prince of Stateras, which by virtue of being five years old is mostly neutral to all other feuds between kingdoms. They firmly hold the belief that all the elements are equal; no one is inherently evil or better than any other. As a result, they have accomplished some crazy magical feats, and already have several kingdoms clamoring for some of their sick technology. Dark came from Aphotia and Nightmare came from Luminance.
btw Stateras is now on a floating island due to an accident with wind magic. it’s fine dwbi
Koroit and Zuli came from Luminance.
Finch came from Aphotia. Ink sorta did too but mainly she was kidnapped and that’s where her knockoff winter solider arc happened.
Lots of named characters have run off to Stateras, including Silver who’s praying Paraiba can make it before shit hits the fan.
Oh there’s also a side timeline where Obsidian and Jet overthrew the former Queen of Aphotia, who was batshit insane and is now even worse because she’s pissed at them. And she’s trying to figure out how to harness lightning. Which should kill her. But it won’t because she’s Hashtag Girlboss (also the creators are gay)
(Seriously though, we don’t have a valid excuse as to why she hasn’t been killed for her hubris. Her name is Virion and she’s actually a version of Obsidian, but she got genderbent here. Because pretty scary unhinged evil ladies >>>>> everything else)
In other news Nightmare’s new princely duties involve playing around with magic for science and his team is working on a huge mech suit they can pilot around and, maybe, channel lightning with by all of them channeling their own magics through it. No one is more excited about this than Bobby. And yes, she is on the team. She’s not allowed to help with some things because she’s fifteen and Nightmare thinks Randy would kill him anyway if something happened to her, but she’s very resourceful and is so thrilled to be learning so much about magic from the guy who invented fucking airplanes (presently only used in an offensive capacity because Nightmare’s too much of an airship nerd)
Nightmare and his team are presently the foremost experts on combo magics. Nightmare is also a pioneer in ’mixing opposing primary magics without killing everyone in the room including himself’. So far it’s just been light and dark magic but they’re working on applications for more such combinations
I have two (2) tables dedicated to the combo magics and I’m fighting with myself to not try in fill in all the tertiary magic because dear fucking god. Also more fun and story accurate if I leave it open. The secondary one is almost certainly going to have to filled out tho
I also have just (yesterday) named the OGMV’s kingdom as well as the H!DS queendom
Because I’m very creative, the H!DS queendom is called Phrikeh, after a Greek goddess of the same name (without the last h)
The OGMV’s kingdom is Cormeum. It’s a mashup of Latin words. Anyone who figures it out gets a virtual high five and also gets to ask me how late it was when I came up with it
I think that’s all I can say without giving away all the secrets before I can make the others from Phrikeh
Aside from sharing the magic charts but we ain’t got time for that my break’s over

Odds and ends:
LUMINOUS PEOPLE
In May 1934, mainstream newspapers picked up a story from an Italian medical journal and spread it across the globe. Forty-two-year-old Signora Anna Monaro, the "Luminous Woman of Pirano, radiated a glowing blue light from her breast whenever she slept. The phenomenon began when Anna started a strict Lenten fast. When her torso began to glow, she checked into the hospital. Multitudes of doctors came to document the condition. The blue glow was visible for four seconds at a time, every night for several weeks. The luminescence would sometimes appear red or green and in varying shades and shapes; sometimes it would become a fan or free-form shape and become bright enough to be seen from the hallway. After each episode, Anna would moan and break into a heavy sweat. Her heart rate doubled. One day, she said she felt less heavy, and the phenomenon was done. Lent had finished.
In the fourteenth century, Saint Lidwina had a light that overflowed from her body with divine brightness. The eighteenth-century Russian mystic Seraphim of Sarov emitted "a blinding light spreading several yards around." The twentieth-century Indian saint Satya Sai Baba radiated bright red rays around his head, and the rays were seen by thousands of people.
The following excerpt appeared in the English Mechanic in 1869:
An American lady, on going to bed, found that a light was issuing from the upper side of the fourth toe on her right foot. Rubbing increased the phosphorescent glow and it spread up her foot. Fumes were also given off, making the room disagreeable; and both light and fumes continued when the foot was held in a basin of water. Even washing with soap could not dim the toe. It lasted for three quarters of an hour before fading away, and was witnessed by her husband.

Das Irrlicht
An Irrlicht (stray light, also called a stray wisp, swamp light and ignis fatuus) is a certain luminous phenomenon that is supposedly occasionally sighted in swamps, moors, mires or in particularly dense, dark forests and (more rarely) in cemeteries. It is the same phenomenon commonly called will-o'-the-wisp in English.
Tumblr media
In folklore and superstition, Irrlichter are usually seen either as the malicious work of supernatural beings or as the souls of the unfortunate deceased. According to popular belief, following Irrlichter or even trying to catch them brings bad luck. In the natural sciences, their existence as independent entities is fundamentally rejected. Reports of alleged sightings are nevertheless investigated, however, because in nature there are both living creatures and gases that can produce lights that are very similar to descriptions of an Irrlicht. Scientists therefore suspect that reports of an Irrlicht are simply due to confusion and optical illusions. In art and poetry, as well as in modern subculture, Irrlicht motifs are widespread and popular.
Tumblr media
Descriptions of Irrlicht sightings vary; they are usually described as small flames, but more rarely they are said to be fireballs the size of a fist or even a head. Their colour is usually described as bluish, greenish or reddish. There are also different reports about how the Irrlicht moves. They are said to either remain motionless in one place or to light up wildly and then immediately go out again. Less credible reports tell of an Irrlicht moving away from the observer or actually pursuing them, as if they were being controlled by someone else or were intelligent beings with a will of their own.
Tumblr media
Irrlicht sightings can be scientifically explained by life forms capable of bioluminescence such as glow worms (Lampyris noctiluca) or fungi such as the bitter oyster (Panellus stipticus). Marsh gases consisting of methane, hydrogen sulfide, and phosphanes or phosphines may combust spontaneously if they reach a critical concentration, causing luminous phenomena.
Tumblr media
In folklore and superstition, Irrlichter are said to have an ominous or even malicious nature. In many myths and legends, they are the souls of the deceased who were either evil during their lifetime and must now walk the earth forever as punishment, or who cannot find peace after death and are looking for redemption. Similar stories are told about the souls of stillborn children. Some legends interpret them as the sad souls of murder and accident victims who drowned in the moor.
Tumblr media
Most of the time, however, they are understood to be the work of evil goblins, nature spirits, ghosts and/or demons. These are said to summon an Irrlicht or transform themselves into one in order to then deliberately harm people. The light is said to lead travellers, adventurers and the curious to their doom: the victims, who have already ventured dangerously close to the swamp or forest, are lured even deeper by the Irrlicht until they sink into the mud or get lost in the deep forest and die there.
Tumblr media
From Sorbian folklore there are stories about the Blud, who are said to appear as Irrlichter. According to tradition, these are the souls of children who died without being baptized. Now their souls are said to wander around weeping in the form of an Irrlicht.
Tumblr media
Irrlichter have often been referenced in art and poetry. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe had them appear in his epic work Faust during Walpurgis Night. Hermann Hendrich painted the dance of the Irrlichter for Walpurgis Hall at the Witches' Dance Floor near Thale in the Harz mountains, where according to the legend the witches are having a dance party every year at Walpurgis Night.
Tumblr media
Irrlichter are a recurring motif in modern subculture in fantasy and science fiction cartoons, movies, and games. The Pokémon Vulpix, for instance, can conjure an Irrlicht.

"All Nature will commune with you when you are in tune with God. Realization of this truth will make you a master of your destiny." -Paramahansa Yogananda
Cosmic Consciousness Talon Abraxas Excerpt From Autobiography Of A Yogi – Sri Yogananda
“Master spoke caressingly, comfortingly. His calm gaze was unfathomable. “Your heart’s desire shall be fulfilled”. I was bewildered. He struck gently on my chest above the heart.
My body became immovably rooted. breath was drawn out of my lungs. Soul and mind instantly lost their physical bondage and streamed out like a fluid light from my every pore. The flesh was as though dead; yet in my intense awareness I knew that never before had I been fully alive. My sense of identity was no longer narrowly confined to a body but embraced the circumambient atoms. People on distant streets seemed to be moving gently over my own remote periphery. The roots of plants and trees appeared through a dim transparency of the soil; I discerned the inward flow of their sap.
The whole vicinity lay bare before me. My ordinary frontal vision was now changed to a vast spherical sight, simultaneously all-perceptive. Through the back of my head I saw men strolling far down Rai Ghat Lane, and noticed also a white cow that was leisurely approaching. When she reached the open ashram gate, I observed her as though with my two physical eyes. After she had passed through the brick wall of the courtyard, I saw her clearly still.
All objects within my panoramic gaze trembled and vibrated like quick motion pictures. My body, Master’s, the pillared courtyard, the furniture and floor, the trees and sunshine, occasionally became violently agitated, until all melted into a luminescent sea; even as sugar crystals, thrown into a glass of water, dissolve after being shaken. The unifying light alternated with materializations of forms, the metamorphoses revealing the law of cause and effect in creation. An oceanic joy broke upon calm endless shores of my soul. The Spirit of God, I realized is exhaustless bliss; His body is countless tissues of light. A swelling glory within me began to envelop towns, continents, the earth, solar and stellar systems, tenuous nebulae, and the floating universes. The entire cosmos, gently luminous, like a city seen afar at night, glimmered within the infinitude of my being.
The divine dispersion of rays poured from an Eternal Source, blazing into galaxies, transfigured with ineffable auras. Again and again I saw the creative beams condense into constellations, then resolve into sheets of transparent flame. By rhythmic reversion, sextillion worlds passed into diaphanous luster, then fire became firmament. Blissful amrita, nectar of immortality, pulsated through me with a quicksilver like fluidity. The creative voice of God I heard resounding as Aum, the vibration of the Cosmic Motor.
Suddenly the breath returned to my lungs. With a disappointment almost unbearable, I realized that my infinite immensity was lost. Once more I was limited to the humiliating cage of a body, not easily accommodative to the Spirit. Like a prodigal child I had run away from my macrocosmic home and had imprisoned myself in a narrow microcosm.
Later master explained “It is the Spirit of God that actively sustains every form and force in the universe; yet He is transcendental and aloof in the blissful uncreated void beyond the world of vibratory phenomena. Those who have attained Self-realization on earth live a similar twofold existence. Conscientiously performing their work in the world, they are yet immersed in an inward beautitude” The above description was recorded by the young Paramahansa Yogananda as he was given his first taste of Samadhi, or as he called it, Cosmic Consciousness, by his Guru, Sri Yukteswar. It should be noted that there are various types and levels of Samadhi ranging from bliss and images of revelation up to the highest mergence in the Absolute.”

What if that whole scene was a complete lie? GENSHIN IMPACT THEORY by Tinirainboom
Tumblr media
Since the truth is that the player's choice does not matter and it does not change the story of the game, then... What if we never had a real sister? since in reality the canon is Aether and Lumine is the one with the abyss…
(it is shown by the plot cinematics that genshin shows of trama like "We will meet again", "Footprints", “Dim Luminar”, "The road not taken" and “Passing Memories”)
and it is a whole lie created by the Teyvat matrix itself to deceive the MC or us like players?
We do not have "real" evidence about the story of the "twin brothers" since it cannot be possible that one is descended and the other is not, that is where something does not add up. That also happens to Aether when Nahida tells him this. So... "Lumine" means light and "Aether":
According to Greek and medieval science, ether (ancient Greek: αἰθήρ, aither), also called quintessence, is the material that fills the region of the universe above the sphere land. The concept of ether was used in several theories to explain various natural phenomena, such as the movement of light and gravity. In the late 19th century, physicists postulated that the ether permeated all space, providing a medium through which light could travel in a vacuum, but evidence for the presence of such a medium was not found in Michelson's experiment. Morley, and this result has been interpreted in the sense that there is no luminiferous ether. The word αἰθήρ (aithēr) in Homeric Greek means "pure, fresh air" or "clear sky"(Aether's Japanese name is Sora= Sky). In Greek mythology, it was believed to be the pure essence that the gods breathed, filling the space where they lived, analogous to the air mortals breathed. Even Aether is also personified as a deity, Ether, the son of Erebus and Nyx in traditional Greek mythology.
Do you see that it is no coincidence that just "Aether" the canon MC is a descendant? Hoyoverse is not silly and does not do things at random.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And many times we are the only ones who can do things that others cannot and "coincidentally" there are no other people who interact with "Dainsleif", only Khaenri'ah characters interact with him such as Kaeya in the Sumeru mission, or the mention of Capitano in the Natlan mission, even our supposed "twin brother" and then us (we don't count Paimon since it is clear that she is not a being from that world, Teyvat). The same data from the game says that there can be no living beings in the Abyss (we already witnessed that from the victims of Natlan, Sumeru, Liyue/The Chasm...) and just "Lumine" is there, like the "princess of the abyss" she is DEAD, the same thing happens with the people of Khaenri'ah, they are DEAD IN LIVING/SOULS IN BARRAIN due to Celestia's punishment, that is why they are still in the world of Teyvat. That means that the twin brother that is with the Abyss is our counterpart, since as I explained before the "Aether" is EVERYTHING, and the light "LUMINE" is a part of that, just a fragment. For some reason she tells us, "We will meet again", "You will understand everything at the end of the journey", she speaks in a context future in the past tense (avoiding giving the answer so that you understand for yourself by taking the journey to reveal the truth) and as if we need to remember WHAT REALLY HAPPENED and Dainsleif's character is the part of that key.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since he (Dainsleif) himself also has the attitudes of someone who IS DEAD, like on those occasions when he always lets us (MC) do the work, not HIM, for example: "I can't now, I have to go", "I'm just passing through" or he leaves without say anything, this type of actions are of a soul in pain and just his peers or someone related to the abyss, like "Lumine" can communicate with him, even Zhongli said that he cannot speak about him or the TRUTH because of a "contract". Even Venti in one of the voice lines tells us that "he's seen us before" and coincidentally "we" don't remember it. That further supports that Lumine is simply a fragment of the MC and that is why we are incomplete. Even Lumine has these "living dead"/lost soul attitudes when she appears. Lumine evades the important questions we ask her in the Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act VI - Bedtime Story, answering in a vague, generic way about something we really know called "the Loom of Fate" and only naming "her plans", enigmatic way to avoid specifically answering "TO HER OWN BROTHER" on purpose. She even wants to prevent us from teaming up with Dain and said it to our faces in Archon Quest Chapter I: Act IV - We Will Be Reunited: "why are you with Dain?", "You shouldn't team up with this man. He is my enemy”.
⭐︎Fun fact 1: Did you know that Aether's earring starts in black on its journey through Teyvat and over time it changes to the color spectrum of the elements of each nation while Lumine's light was always white and never changed? Aether = everything, Lumine = light. Even Lumine's clothes are white, and what's the light like? WHITE, however in Aether it is more varied, he has balance, with dark colors and a white scarf and cape with a drawing of a golden shooting star on it. Coincidence? I don't believe it. "Twins" always represent a duality. ⭐︎Fun fact 2: Did you know that the name Lumine in Japanese, Hotaru, means Firefly? In Japanese mythology, fireflies are associated with the spirits of the dead, referencing Hotaru's status as a warrior of death and rebirth. And "coincidentally" Lumine fights for the Abyss, which is death itself (we saw it in Natlan at its best pov) and wants to be "reborn", that is, reform the rules of Teyvat and govern it at his will. Here I give you an image of Fun fact 1:
Tumblr media
Doesn't this remind you of something? he he
Surely we do fight against the "sustainer of heavenly principles" but not as really shown in the scene here in the beginning, which affects both counterparts about what they consider real and what not, because… if even the Irminsul himself can overwrite real information with false information like Scaramouche did. So, why shouldn't we doubt that just that "unknown Deity" has done something to us? Since Aether thinks she just sealed his powers, but like I said THAT'S WHAT HE BELIEVES. As she is an entity with great power and was not even seen sweating or struggling to catch the twins, even indirectly the same game confirms to us that the false sky is real thanks to the power borrowed from Ronova the shadow of death of Phanes that she gave to Mavuika to defeat the abyss and unintentionally breaking the sky of Teyvat... It shows that this "deity", the "sustainer of heavenly principles" is capable of altering reality and space, and is surely capable of confronting others entities/descendants (like us) then... Why should we trust what we saw at the beginning of the game? since it may be an altered memory. Even with us, in real life, it happens that the brain fills in compiled information when it does not remember and you create a false memory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The world of Teyvat is a matrix, a false reality. Even players with the pause menu can control "time", Mavuika also told us that time itself is an illusion since the past, present and future are the same line, they pass simultaneously. This can be confirmed with Aether since what he "supposedly" experienced with the "twin sister" and the incident of the "unknown Goddess" were as if it had happened to him yesterday and not 500 years ago. Time itself is relative. A classic reference to this is the movie Matrix Reloaded, in the scene of Neo talking to the Architect. And why am I referring to that scene? Because Neo being the "chosen one" is a failure of the Matrix system and the architect tells him this. In our case, Aether/MC is a flaw in the Teyvat system since he is a descendant, in short an outside entity/alien. Did you even realize that the decisions we make in Genshin Impact as players do not affect anything, that they are completely USELESS? Since a clear example is the Natlan war or the Sumeru's Samsara, it does not matter which direction you take, those people are going to die and you will not see them again, the same choice is a LIE, an ILLUSION. Unlike Honkai Star Rail, our decisions do change the story of the destination of MC's journey and this is demonstrated with the alternative endings with a black screen and it tells you what happens, but in Genshin this does not happen for a very simple reason. Teyvat is a world of lies, and within the matrix you cannot change things, something that Neo was not able to do at the beginning because he did not realize that he was the chosen one and could break the rules, something that MC still cannot do.
Ultimately, the problem is the choice, just like The Matrix Reloaded. Neo realized that the choice itself did not change things in his favor and the only thing it did was favor the vicious cycle of the Matrix, so he decided NOT TO CHOOSE and CREATE A SOLUTION. In the case of Neo there were 5 chosen ones before him and they fell into the trap, the same thing will have happened with the other three descendants of Genshin and now it is up to us, who we are the fourth to change the rules and not continue with the cycle. There is evidence that comes from the game itself that Teyvat is a lie and that is demonstrated in Wings of Feasting with its inscription, but the most important is what it says at the end: "Teyvat's borders have grown fragile these past two years — looks like Mommy's going to have to get busy." These are Alice's words towards Klee and the reason for his absence. It has already been shown that witches are entities that can create life and underworlds with their own rules within Teyvat (events of the Golden Apple Archipelago, the island of Sri Lanka, even the fantasy theater, etc).
And now coincidentally all the archons are rebelling in their own way against Celestia giving the Gnosis that have divine knowledge and as Skrik said are part of the corpse of the third descended (Venti created a false Gnosis since if you pay attention when Zhongli or Nahida deliver the Gnosis They don't shine and the one that Signora grabs in Mondstadt does, like the lyre that "he repaired with his power") but with his attitude he shows that he knows more than necessary. And the Fatuis are putting everything together to carry out the Tsaritsa's plan against Celestia.
⭐︎Fun fact 3: When we have to choose the twin and we give him a name, will the rest of the people never say it? They are going to call us "Traveler", except for our supposed twin. The same thing happens in the Undertale game, that at the beginning of the game we choose MC's name but they call us "human" and at the end MC reveals his name and it is Frisk. The election is a lie. Also in Archon Quest Chapter III: Act VI - Caribert, the broken mirror scene is almost the same as the one in the movie Avengers Endgame when the Nebula of the past accidentally connected with the memories of the Nebula of the future? She was able to pass that connection since she was "relatively close" to the Nebula of the future and could not understand what was happening, the same thing happened to MC seeing his twin in his reflection, and that he was seeing through the memories of the counterpart of themselves and just right in the place of the events of the past but in another time. Which makes my theory stronger.   ⭐︎Fun fact 4: It should be noted that the Pari, creations made by the Goddess of Flowers (now completely proven that the Seeles were angels in the past, by Natlan's last mission in 5.1) were the ones who indirectly mentioned to us about Lumine and Dain's journey in Teyvat. Besides, it is no coincidence that they have the power to stop the abyss because they are the creation of an angel in itself. ⭐︎Fun fact 5: The story of the battle pass that Venti tells is an allegory of what is currently happening to these "supposed twins" and the snake acting as a temptation to the strange entity of the "Sinner" who himself says that: "O dear creature, why do you bow down? For fear of the unknown? Or for a power that you covet?, "O dear creature, why do you bow down? For I am no god... I am but a Sinner", "You are like a flower born in sin yet pure, spotless... I know your fate well", "You need no longer hold back your resentment, nor accept the countless lies", "Go forth, become a transcendent one, rise beyond the fate bestowed upon you...", "And I shall shed a tear at the end of time... as I look back upon your life". Words that served Lumine, who is the light, being a pure flower but who can sin, go to the darkness of the abyss. ⭐︎Final fact: If you paid attention to the "Footprints" video, at the beginning of the video "the so-called  twins" appear together in the field of happy flowers and then at the end of the journey of everything, Aether appears alone in that field looking at his hand with a face melancholic, serious and reflective, as if he had discovered a hard and cruel truth at the same time. As the saying goes: "The truth is a very difficult dish to swallow." And there is even another Genshin video that is "Genshin Impact Commemorative Preview «Dim Luminar»" that just "Lumine" tells the entire story that had happened until now (to Sumeru) as if it had been a "witness" of everything, just like a spirit that sees everything that happens to the rest because they became an entity of the fourth dimension. At the end of the video, our “supposed sister” says: "Let's continue another time. Sooner or later, he will leave his mark on the desert. I wonder what choices you will make, Aether?" At the end of the day, did you realize that the scenes between the two of them are like seeing a reflection of themselves? There are no differences and no changes in the history, but it is like seeing a mirror. Lumine at the end of saying that is like looking at yourself in a showcase and saying "what are you going to do this time, me from the past?"
Ready! end of all the argument and theory of Genshin. If you've made it this far, thank you very much for reading. Reblogs would serve a lot to spread this theory throughout the Genshin community. The images are not mine, they are from their respective gif creators. This theory is made by me and my father who we're players. If you're going to use it, give credits to this blog! Now, have a good day, afternoon or night.

Hello, I can request a yandere Albedo with **reader Rhinedottir Powerful Strong ** , let's say that Reader is the creator of Albedo and entrusts him with a mission (she abandons it, and reader hates it and regrets having created it ), many years later, they meet again accidentally, How would Albedo react when he saw that, you have a new creation and take care of it with paternal love (something that Albedo never received F) (The new creation could be a child or biological child of the reader)
Echoes of Creation
Synopsis: The Creation Meets Its Creator Pairing: Yandere Albedo x Rhinedottir! Reader Author's Notes: Took me about two hours to finish this, but I'm impressed by how it turned out.
Many years ago, when the world was still awash in the secrets of forbidden alchemy and ancient arts, you—Rhinedottir, the genius alchemist and powerful witch—created him. Albedo was born of your brilliant mind and painstaking craftsmanship, forged in the fires of your ambition and the cold, unyielding determination of your heart. You entrusted him with a mission of immense importance, one that would change the course of history—a mission that, in time, you abandoned. Overwhelmed by guilt and regret, you cast him aside, leaving him to wander the corridors of time and memory, haunted by the ghost of your neglect.
He spent those years analysing the ineffable nature of your bond, meticulously cataloging every trace of your presence in his thoughts. He was designed to serve, to study, to understand the world through the lens of your design. Yet, in your absence, his heart—an enigma even to himself—grew obsessed, every thought darkened by an unyielding need to reclaim what was once his: your love, your guidance, and above all, your acknowledgment.
Time, as it does, marched on. Albedo roamed ancient libraries and forgotten ruins, searching, waiting. The memory of your voice and the spark of your eyes—so fierce and full of life—haunted him. Every experiment, every creation, every discovery was but a reminder of what he had lost. He watched the world evolve, and with it, he began to see the consequences of your abandonment. Not a day passed without recalling the bittersweet echo of your laughter, the gentle touch of your hand as you guided his first hesitant steps in this mortal realm.
Then, one fateful day, fate conspired to reunite you. He had been immersed in a study of ancient celestial phenomena when he saw her—your new creation. A child, yet unmistakably imbued with your essence. The child, born of your own flesh and spirit, bore the same luminous hair that once cascaded from your head and eyes that shone with the same indomitable fire. In that instant, his carefully honed detachment shattered. Every suppressed emotion, every calculated observation, surged forth like an uncontrolled reaction.
It was by chance—or perhaps something greater—that he found you again, standing in a secluded courtyard bathed in the soft glow of a moonlit night. You were a vision of defiant grace, your eyes dark with the weight of unspoken sorrows, yet aglow with the resilient spirit of one who had survived immeasurable loss. And there, beside you, sat your child—a living echo of a past he had cherished and loathed. The sight struck him with a force he had long tried to contain.
"You…" Albedo began, voice trembling slightly—a rare and almost unnatural sound for him.
You regarded him coolly, your gaze as sharp as it was distant. "Albedo. I did not expect you."
The child looked up at him, curiosity mingling with innocent apprehension. He saw in those eyes the reflection of what he had once craved, a reflection of a love long forsaken.
As you explained your journey over the years—a life of ceaseless experimentation, of regret, and of reluctant responsibility—he listened, every word igniting a conflagration of conflicting emotions within him. You spoke of your newfound purpose in raising your child, of the paternal love you now bestowed—a love so pure and nurturing that it seemed to heal even the darkest corners of your soul. And there he stood, a creation of your genius and ambition, now reduced to an observer of your life’s unfolding, tormented by the realization that he could never reclaim what was lost.
He retreated into solitude, into the sanctum of his laboratory, where the silent hum of experiments mingled with the quiet despair of his thoughts. He pored over ancient texts and his own detailed records, seeking any sign, any hint of a path back to you. Every invention, every new discovery, became a desperate plea to the cosmos—a yearning to reverse the unalterable course of fate.
Yet, amid this inner tempest, a singular thought emerged: You now loved another—your child, a new creation, nurtured with the tenderness that he had been denied. The concept of paternal love—something he had observed but never experienced—gnawed at him with relentless intensity. He began to see you not merely as his creator, but as a beacon of what he had lost. Every detail of your care, every gentle word spoken to your child, became both a balm and a fresh wound, reopening the deepest scars of his abandoned heart.
He found himself torn between two overwhelming impulses: the urge to reclaim you as his own, to force you back into the fold of your shared destiny, and the bitter resignation to accept that you had moved on, that your heart was now devoted to this new life, this new hope. And in that tortured crossroads, he resolved that he would not let you slip away again.
One evening, driven by an impulse that he could no longer restrain, he sought you out. The moon hung low in the sky as he found you in a secluded garden, cradling your child in your arms. The sight was almost too beautiful, too painful—a living, breathing testament to what he had been denied.
"You are happy," Albedo said, voice low and laden with unspoken accusation, stepping into the soft circle of moonlight.
You looked up, surprise mingling with a guarded sorrow. "Albedo... I did not expect to see you here."
The child clutched your hand, eyes wide and curious. He glanced at them and felt a pang—a fatherly ache that he had never known he was capable of feeling.
"Do you not see?" he continued, unable to mask the tremor in his voice. "You have created something new—a new legacy. And it hurts me, more than you can imagine."
Your eyes darkened, a mixture of regret and defiance flashing across your features. "I never intended to hurt you, Albedo. I sought to create, to explore, to find redemption in the act of creation. I did not abandon you out of malice."
"But you did abandon me," he countered bitterly, stepping closer. "I was left alone to face the world—a world of shadows and memories. And now, you look upon this new life with paternal love, as if it were the key to healing your own broken heart."
You lowered your gaze, the weight of unspoken guilt evident. "I have no power over your pain, Albedo. I can only offer what I can now—a chance to love and to be loved."
His heart twisted at those words—a truth he could neither deny nor fully accept. He reached out, his hand trembling as it hovered near yours, but you pulled away gently.
"Please," you whispered, more to your child than to him, "do not interfere. I have learned to live with my choices."
Albedo stared at you, the fullness of his obsession and longing laid bare. "I cannot—" he began, but the words faltered as he saw the small face of your child, the living echo of a past he had once yearned to reclaim.
In that moment, the realization struck him like a cruel alchemical reaction: he could never have you back. He could only possess the memory, the idea, the unattainable dream of what once was.
Yet, even as he watched from afar, his heart burned with an undying flame—a promise that he would never forget you, nor the beauty of your creation. He had become a part of the past—a memory, a creation, a whisper of what might have been.
And so, he remained a silent guardian, bound by the chains of creation and regret, an eternal witness to the echoes of a love that could never be reclaimed.

One way, then, of regarding luminous apparitions is as images of the soul projected by the soul itself. Jung also remarked on the frequency with which many such apparitions appeared, representing a disintegration and fragmentation of the psyche. These can be seen as "partial souls" which may appear in quite ordinary circumstances. One of his patients dreamt that many shining spheres were hanging in the curtains of her room. Jung interpreted these as split-off fragments of the psyche which were seeking to be reintegrated into the personality in order to attain or restore psychic wholeness. Furthermore, he knew that as long as these fragments remain in a state of projection or "exteriorized," they can produce all kinds of parapsychological phenomena.

Biggest boom since Big Bang
Astronomers from the University of Hawaiʻi’s Institute for Astronomy (IfA) have discovered the most energetic cosmic explosions yet discovered, naming the new class of events “extreme nuclear transients” (ENTs). These extraordinary phenomena occur when massive stars—at least three times heavier than our Sun—are torn apart after wandering too close to a supermassive black hole. Their disruption releases vast amounts of energy visible across enormous distances. The team's findings were recently detailed in the journal Science Advances.
"We’ve observed stars getting ripped apart as tidal disruption events for over a decade, but these ENTs are different beasts, reaching brightnesses nearly ten times more than what we typically see," said Jason Hinkle, who led the study as the final piece of his doctoral research at IfA. “Not only are ENTs far brighter than normal tidal disruption events, but they remain luminous for years, far surpassing the energy output of even the brightest known supernova explosions.”
The immense luminosities and energies of these ENTs are truly unprecedented. The most energetic ENT studied, named Gaia18cdj, emitted an astonishing 25 times more energy than the most energetic supernovae known. While typical supernovae emit as much energy in just one year as the Sun does in its 10 billion-year lifetime, ENTs radiate the energy of 100 Suns over a single year.
ENTs were first uncovered when Hinkle began a systematic search of public transient surveys for long-lived flares emanating from the centers of galaxies. He identified two unusual flares in data from the European Space Agency’s Gaia mission that brightened over a timescale much longer than known transients and without characteristics common to known transients.
"Gaia doesn’t tell you what a transient is, just that something changed in brightness," said Hinkle. "But when I saw these smooth, long-lived flares from the centers of distant galaxies, I knew we were looking at something unusual."
The discovery launched a multi-year follow-up campaign to figure out what these sources were. With help from UH’s Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System, the W. M. Keck Observatory, and other telescopes across the globe, the team gathered data across the electromagnetic spectrum. Because ENTs evolve slowly over several years, capturing their full story took patience and persistence. Recently, a third event with similar properties was discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility and reported independently by two teams, adding strong support that ENTs are a distinct new class of extreme astrophysical events.
The authors determined these extraordinary events could not be supernovae because they release far more energy than any known stellar explosion. The sheer energy budget, combined with their smooth and prolonged light curves, firmly pointed to an alternative mechanism: accretion onto a supermassive black hole.
However, ENTs differ significantly from normal black hole accretion which typically shows irregular and unpredictable changes in brightness. The smooth and long-lived flares of ENTs indicated a distinct physical process—the gradual accretion of a disrupted star by a supermassive black hole.
Benjamin Shappee, Associate Professor at IfA and study co-author, emphasized the implications: "ENTs provide a valuable new tool for studying massive black holes in distant galaxies. Because they're so bright, we can see them across vast cosmic distances—and in astronomy, looking far away means looking back in time. By observing these prolonged flares, we gain insights into black hole growth when the universe was half its current age when galaxies were happening places—forming stars and feeding their supermassive black holes 10 times more vigorously than they do today."
The rarity of ENTs, occurring at least 10 million times less frequently than supernovae, makes their detection challenging and dependent on sustained monitoring of the cosmos. Future observatories like the Vera C. Rubin Observatory and NASA’s Roman Space Telescope promise to uncover many more of these spectacular events, revolutionizing our understanding of black hole activity in the distant, early universe.
"These ENTs don’t just mark the dramatic end of a massive star’s life. They illuminate the processes responsible for growing the largest black holes in the universe," concluded Hinkle.

The Illusion of Striving
In the luminous expanse, nothing to do,
No self to perfect, no path to pursue.
Samsara and nirvana dissolve in the view,
The radiant ground, timeless and true.
Rest in vastness, where effort is stilled,
The natural state, already fulfilled.
Pure are forms that arise in the mind,
Reflections of clarity, unshaped and unlined.
No striving, no clinging, no battles to fight,
The essence of equalness, radiant and bright.
Rest in this knowing, serene and complete,
The Vajra heart essence, where all truths meet.
Neither dullness nor thought need to subside,
All expressions, radiant and true.
Samsara and nirvana, distinctions erased,
Rest in vastness, spacious and free.
The nature of mind, clear and serene,
Truth is revealed, timeless and pure.
No effort required, no foes to defeat,
In this luminous expanse, awareness complete.
All that appears perfect in its place,
Arising and dissolving in this infinite space.
Rest in the knowing, unshaken and free,
The natural state, where all truths agree.
This Doha emphasizes the boundless and omnipresent nature of awakened mind, calling yogins to rest in its natural state. Here habitual notions of striving, effort, and attainment are deconstructed without effort - encouraging direct recognition of the luminous expanse of awareness.
Awakened mind is already perfect and complete. There is no need to fight dullness, agitation, or thought, as these are merely expressions of awareness itself. The distinctions of samsara and nirvana dissolve in the recognition of their shared essence. All phenomena are equal within the expanse of awareness. All appearances, even those perceived as flawed, are pure manifestations of awareness. This purity is intrinsic and unchanging.
Appearances and awareness are not separate; they arise together as a single, unified field.
Guided Meditation For You: Resting in Natural Equalness
Find a comfortable seated position and close your eyes. Take three deep luxuriating breaths, allowing yourself to settle into stillness. Release any tension with each exhalation.
Allow your awareness to rest naturally, without striving or effort. Notice the thoughts, sensations, and perceptions that arise.
Reflect and Recognize:
These are not obstacles but expressions of awareness itself.
Let go of any need to control or analyze these appearances. Rest in the spaciousness of mind, allowing everything to arise and dissolve naturally.
Turn your attention to the nature of appearances.
Reflect and recognize:
These appearances are neither samsara nor nirvana—they are of one essence, equal within the expanse of awareness.
Rest in the recognition of this natural equalness, free from the need to label or differentiate. Allow the mind to remain spacious and open, free from striving.
Take a few deep breaths, gently bringing your awareness back to the present moment. Reflect on the boundless, luminous nature of awareness.
Open your eyes when you feel ready, carrying this recognition into your day.
Resting in the Natural State
You are being presented with a radical and transformative perspective on the nature of mind and reality - challenging deeply ingrained habits of striving, conceptualizing, and dividing experience into categories like samsara and nirvana, self and other, effort and attainment. By understanding the key insights presented here, all are invited to directly experience the all-encompassing equalness of awareness and the intrinsic purity of all phenomena.
The Illusion of Striving
Neither meditation nor anything to meditate on can be discovered. This dissolves the fundamental premise of striving in meditation. In conventional approaches, we tend to identify obstacles, such as dullness, agitation, and discursive thoughts, as enemies to be subdued or eliminated. However, this teaching reveals that these so-called enemies are nothing more than expressions of awareness itself. They do not require suppression or destruction because their arising and dissolution occur naturally within the luminous expanse of awakened mind. Effort and striving perpetuate the illusion of separation between a practitioner, an object of meditation, and a goal to be achieved. This triad is revealed to be conceptual, arising within awareness but lacking any inherent reality.
When meditating, notice the arising of thoughts, distractions, or emotions without trying to eliminate them. Recognize them as natural movements within awareness, and rest in the spaciousness that holds them all.
We describe the true nature of phenomena as a timelessly abiding, omnipresent state. This state, the essence of awakened mind, transcends dualistic distinctions such as self and other. The three realms—desire, form, and formless—are traditionally viewed as the domains of samsaric existence. Here, they are revealed as constituting the pure realm of natural equalness.
The distinctions we project onto reality—dividing it into realms, categories, and experiences—are products of conceptual mind. When seen through the lens of awakened awareness, all phenomena are recognized as inherently pure and inseparable from the luminous ground of being.
Reflect on the interconnectedness of all phenomena. Whether pleasant or unpleasant, samsaric or nirvanic, recognize their shared essence as manifestations of the same awareness.
The victorious ones of the three times—the Buddhas of the past, present, and future—see all manifestations as pure. This purity is not something achieved or imposed; it is the intrinsic nature of phenomena. The impurities we perceive are products of conceptual elaboration and dualistic thinking, not inherent qualities of the phenomena themselves.
Purity in this context does not mean a lack of flaws or imperfections. Instead, it points to the underlying nature of phenomena as expressions of awareness, free from dualistic categorization.
Practice viewing all experiences—joy and sorrow, clarity and confusion—as pure manifestations of awareness. Notice how judgments and labels obscure this intrinsic purity.
The emphasis that “there is nothing to renounce or accept, and nothing to attain elsewhere.” This dismantles the dualistic framework of spiritual practice, where we are often motivated by the desire to reject samsara and attain nirvana. In the expanse of awakened mind, these distinctions dissolve, revealing a single state of equalness.
The quest for attainment is based on the mistaken belief that something is lacking or incomplete. Recognizing the inherent completeness of the present moment dissolves the need for seeking or striving.
Reflect on how the impulse to attain or reject arises in your own practice. What would it feel like to let go of this impulse and rest in the recognition that everything is already complete?
All phenomena are evident within the vast expanse of mind, yet they do not stray from the ultimate meaning of equalness. This insight reveals the inseparability of appearance and essence. Phenomena arise vividly, yet their ultimate nature remains unchanged. They are like reflections in a mirror—clearly visible yet inseparable from the mirror’s surface.
Equalness means that no phenomenon is excluded from the nature of awakened mind. Samsara and nirvana, appearance and emptiness, are all encompassed within the same luminous expanse. Contemplate the inseparability of appearance and awareness. Rest in the recognition that all phenomena, however they may appear, are expressions of the same ultimate ground.
In our everyday lives, we are often caught in the cycle of striving and dissatisfaction, believing that we need to achieve or attain something to feel complete. This teaching offers a profound antidote to that mindset, reminding us that the peace and clarity we seek are already present within us.
When you feel the impulse to strive or achieve, pause and ask yourself: What is already present in this moment? Allow yourself to rest in the completeness of now.
In moments of difficulty, remind yourself that all phenomena are pure manifestations of awareness. Practice viewing challenges as opportunities to recognize the luminous nature of mind.
Notice when you are caught in the habit of trying to fix, change, or control your experience. Practice letting go and resting in the natural state of awareness.
This is an invitation to dissolve the illusion of separation—the separation between self and other, samsara and nirvana, effort and attainment. It reveals the natural state of awareness as already complete, already perfect, and already present.
We often approach spiritual practice as a project of self-improvement, trying to eliminate flaws and attain higher states. This teaching challenges that approach by showing us that effort is unnecessary. The luminous nature of mind is not something we achieve; it is something we recognize.
In the natural state, all phenomena are seen as pure manifestations of awareness. This purity is not something added to phenomena; it is their inherent nature. By letting go of judgments and labels, we can experience this purity directly. The distinctions we make—between good and bad, self and other, samsara and nirvana—are revealed to be conceptual overlays. In the natural state, all phenomena are equal, arising within the same luminous expanse.
May this be of benefit to all 🙏

Śrīkālasaṁkarṣiṇī represents the very power of Cit, consciousness, to draw all phenomena back into itself. Her name, which means “the one who draws in or absorbs time,” speaks to her role not just as a destroyer, but as the devourer of illusion, the terminus of all karmic cycles, and the supreme feminine principle who alone can reveal the highest Self. She is Kālī, but in her most esoteric Shaiva form..less anthropomorphic, more like a force of sheer Svātantrya, or divine autonomy.
She is the very ground of liberation, a current that calls the practitioner inward to the deepest heart of consciousness, where duality dissolves. Her fierce grace is not chaotic or random...it is precise and purifying. In her presence, all temporal identities collapse. She unveils the one eternal identity that has always been: Aham, the I-consciousness, the divine "I am" of Śiva, not as something to be believed, but as something to be known, directly and bodily.
While I am a nondual mystic whose metaphysical orientation most closely aligns with Kashmir Shaivism and nondual Tantra, I engage with Christian mysticism and Abrahamic doctrine through this lens. From this perspective, Christ is not the son of God in the sense of being the only incarnation of divinity or the sole bearer of divine essence, but rather the one who fully realizes the truth of Svātantrya..divine autonomy - through Pratyabhijñā, the direct recognition that there is no separation between God and Self. The Christ becomes an archetype of the liberated being, a mirror for the process of self-recognition inherent to all.
In esoteric Christianity, the Virgin Mary is not merely a historical figure or maternal archetype, but a cosmic vessel of divine light, the Theotokos, the God-bearer. She does not just give birth to Christ externally; in the mystical imagination, she is the soul’s mother who births the Logos within the heart of the devotee. She is seen as the perfect receptacle of divine will..immaculate not merely in sinlessness, but in total openness to divine purpose. Her compassion is fierce, her purity a kind of luminous fire that prepares the soul to be wed to the divine.
Yet Mary alone is not the full picture. Christ, in his esoteric expression, becomes the Logos, the liberating gnosis, the embodied truth that awakens the soul from death and reunites it with the source. He descends into the underworld not only to conquer hell in a theological sense, but to retrieve the soul from the depths of illusion - just as Śrīkālasaṁkarṣiṇī does when she swallows time and illusion to reveal the eternally unbound Self.
When viewed through the tantric lens, these roles converge in Śrīkālasaṁkarṣiṇī. She is the mother who births the Self, like Mary. She is the liberator who shatters all bonds, like Christ. But she is more than their sum..she is the very power by which such manifestations are possible. In Tantra, the Divine Feminine is not passive or secondary. She is primary. She is both the substratum and the revelation. There is no liberation without her.
From this nondual understanding, the Christian Trinity finds deep resonance with the Trika foundation of Kashmir Shaivism. The Father reflects Paraśiva..the transcendent, formless Godhead beyond all attributes. The Son, like the realized individual in Trika, represents the embodiment of Cit that has awakened to itself. And the Holy Spirit..as the divine breath or inspiriting power - parallels Śaktipāta, the descent of grace, the Shakti that initiates recognition and transformation.
In Kashmir Shaivism, the process of liberation is not one of mere belief or faith, but of direct experience..Pratyabhijñā, recognition. It is to awaken as Cit, and this awakening is not cold or abstract - it is fiery, intimate, embodied. It comes as the kiss of Bhairavī, the cutting glance of Kālī, the soft explosion of the Spanda, the subtle pulse of awareness that underlies all movement. And Śrīkālasaṁkarṣiṇī is the great initiatrix into this fire of realization.
The Christian mystic may look to Mary for comfort and Christ for liberation. But the tantric, realizing no separation between God and Self, looks to Śrīkālasaṁkarṣiṇī to dissolve the final veil and grant the lived knowing of Svātantrya - the freedom to create, dissolve, and abide in one's own infinite being.
Thus, she is at once the womb of God, the destroyer of illusion, and the bestower of absolute sovereignty.

Stars in the Night;
DWC 2025 / Star Prompt
Tumblr media
It was a sight unlike any sight which she had ever beheld. And in this moment, in this neck of the woods at this late of a night... it was only for Susan's eyes. Star light flickered as a reflection in a pool of gold, her eyes glimmering with the twinkles of iridescent white that, now, was fading the further the star shower fell into the distance...
The surrounding acreage of empty natural grassland and small hills provided her the optimal sights for the longest time possible. Well beyond the tree in the distance the flecks of gems against a dark canvas dissipates. The star shower had gone as suddenly as it sprung upon her, the world only a fraction darker than it had been to start with; Which wasn't so by a long shot, as the natural evening sky was completely free of the typical light pollution of major cities, the world only as dark as the luminous galaxy allowed. The splendor of the star showers is yet still marked in history only by those awake this late into the evening and lucky enough to catch it.
She felt the gratitude swell her heart, her ribcage already throbbing from secondary reaction to her night of training but it certainly held some sentiment to the moment. As if her body were reacting to the joy of seeing something so outstanding.
"Beautiful," she commemorates, a small smile tugging the corners of her lips whilst she readjusts the grip on her strapless scabbard.
It had been only moments before that she had concluded training this evening. Lucky she did, or else her walk home wouldn't have gotten as far as needed for such a pleasant phenomena. The cliff side she had dedicated her sparring ground had been in her wake by a mile now, walking through the western prairies had given her the clearest sky by a long shot.
With a soft huff outward Susan sighs, the brisk evening air affected by the warmth of her breath, billowing out like steam from a dragons maw. She lingers now, commiting the moment to memory while paused on the dirt path, the path well worn by her constant travels. A breeze would drift by, drying the sweat perspiration upon her forehead some. But it wasn't long before she commits herself to the remainder of her walk, a free hand lifting to tuck the loose strands of her dishelved ponytail behind an ear.
"Beautiful," she reiterates beneath her breath, "Yet fleeting."
Part of her had wondered who else had set eyes upon such a beautiful display. Would she ever know?
