先日、私が東京で街を歩いていた際、ふと目に留まったのは、車道と歩道を巧みに行き交う「Luup」の姿。そのスピードは思った以上に速く、利用者は颯爽と道を駆け抜けていました。その光景は一見してスリリングで、新しい移動手段としての可能性を感じさせますが、安全面においては大きな疑問符がつきます。

電動キックボードは免許不要で乗ることができ、誰でも簡単に利用開始できる手軽さが魅力です。しかし、その気軽さがあだとなり、経験不足のユーザーが車道や歩道を高速で走行することで、歩行者や車との事故リスクを高めているように見えます。

実際に歩いていると、突然背後から迫ってくる電動キックボードに驚かされることが少なくありません。騒音が少ないため、接近に気づきにくく、特に混雑した歩道では接触事故の危険性も否めません。また、車道では車の死角に入りやすいサイズであるため、運転手にとっても予期せぬ危険を生む可能性があります。

このような状況に対して、私は電動キックボードの利用に何らかの規制が必要ではないかと感じています。たとえば、利用者の最低年齢の設定、ヘルメット着用の義務化、特定のエリアでの利用禁止区域の設定など、安全を確保するためのルールが求められているのではないでしょうか。

移動の自由と安全の確保、この二つは必ずしも相反するものではありません。ルールを設けることで、利用者も周囲も安心して「Luup」を使える環境を作ることが、今後の都市交通の発展にとって重要なステップとなるでしょう。

電動キックボードがもたらす利便性は魅力的ですが、それに伴うリスクをしっかりと管理し、安全な共存を目指すことが、私たち全員の課題です。皆さんは、電動キックボードとの共存についてどう思われますか？

The other day as I was walking through the streets of Tokyo, I suddenly noticed a "Luup" skillfully crossing the roadway and sidewalk.Its speed was faster than I expected, and its users were dashing through the streets.At first glance, the sight is thrilling and gives a sense of the potential of this new means of transportation, but there is a big question mark over its safety.

Electric kickboards are attractive because they can be ridden without a license and are easy for anyone to start using.However, this ease of use appears to be a disadvantage, as inexperienced users ride at high speeds on roadways and sidewalks, increasing the risk of accidents with pedestrians and cars.

When actually walking, it is not uncommon to be startled by an electric kickboard suddenly approaching from behind.The low noise level makes it difficult to notice their approach, especially on crowded sidewalks, and the risk of a fender bender is undeniable.In addition, their size makes them easily accessible to the blind spots of cars on the roadway, which can create unexpected dangers for drivers.

In response to this situation, I feel that there should be some regulations on the use of electric kickboards.For example, there should be rules to ensure safety, such as setting a minimum age for users, requiring the wearing of helmets, and establishing areas where use is prohibited in certain areas.
