Magic Delivery Service: The Kit

The magical Kit appears on my front door step when a knock pounds on my door hard waking me up from a deep sleep and my feet dragging across the floor. Opening the door the package is wrapped up like a gift picking it up and walking inside of the building and place it on the table as I unwrap it. The box burst open with enough energy to lite a room up surging like magic it fills the room with an electric current and inside of the package is a tiny box.

The box says magic kit to my surprise I felt like rolling my eyes but I was left intrigued more so and ripped it open and only to find instructions. I read it carefully informing me on how this musts be done precisely and with all of the utmost care in him and I quickly retrieve the vial of magic mix. Uncorking the top I take a whiff of the concoction alerting me to how dangerous this is and I begin to plan how I will build him and I mean the perfect sub just for me.

What I did not expect when I poured the man contents in the box in to a pot of boiling water as they mix and become one a power of energy. The nectar worthy of a God likemyself after it comes to a thick body and sweet smell the contents are pouring in tothe bottle and shaken well before I gulp every last drop down. Everything in is glowing about the room before I faint it all goes black I have no memory with everything or anything else when I wake up.

“Woah! What happened?”

The story is a gigantic revolving door that is surrounding me like a damn maze covering me up like it is swallowing me up and I can not believe it when I see a Tyler Hoechlin like Installment. I crack up a bit watching this cut out poster as it only hits to the twisted reality of it all transcending the wonderful outcome to come and I sigh for a bit grabbing Tyler figure from the stall.I can’t imagine what a concoction I could piece together with all these moving parts within it and quickly moving fast on to the next installation and I could not believe my eyes at what I saw.

Sebastian Stan is next on the list when Istop to see those magnetic eyes reachingfor the doll to land in the palm of my handsand I grasp it tightly and throw it in to the pot. The chemical serum exploding ever high flushing down the sides of the pot asit ever flows growing more and changing colorful patterns one after another to myamazement. The reality of my situation ishitting me like a ton of bricks shaking me to my core and he fell to the floor patterns lighting up under me and they become one as expected.

“Can I help you Sir?”

Walking further to the back of the store I find myself a bit lost until I see the conveyor belt rolling on and I pour layers of the mixed serum and watch it pool together spreading till covers everything. It consumes the whole sanction racing in to the melding section of the room and the molding pieces begin to press together forming a mold of particular muscular titan. Yes! It is him the man, myth and the legend we know as Jack Reacher on Amazons Reacher AKA Alan Ritchson my major crush now and soon to be the flesh and the skeleton of my slaves body.

A laugh a bit right now watching the process happen happily with multiple layers of the serum washing over him and forming a newskin but it’s atom Hardy’s skin tone and his face mixing well. He is such a fine specimen I won’t to jump his bones right now but I truly know I can’t obviously do it and imagine I am laying my body on his and fucking him ever so raw to he is hard as blue in his face right now. The mold is completely in process with the steam filling up the area drawing in air from the room and strolling past his body and he is fully forming a new man my ideal mold forever.

Hugh Jackman’s entire musical catalog play and films are playing over the speaker loudwith such precision recalibrating his voice and given him a strong Australian accent that mimics Hugh Jackman’s perfectly for me. All of a sudden as the puppet begins to play on mimic his singing voice perfectly giving me everything I desire and want inhim he is also playful, sexy, sexy, a great dresser and my body is growing so hardnow. “Keep up the good work in training that voice! This is so fucking amazing Icannot believe this really. What luck!”I shout at the roof tops at my latest victory and the conquest.

duchess trying to 'steal' ashlynn's destiny was kind of passed off as a joke but actually,,, what if she does get ashlynn's prince? hear me out. cinderella's prince is kind of badass if you think about it. he's so charmed, so enchanted with cinderella that he wants to see her again that he finds a loophole in the fairy godmother's magic. no one was supposed to remember any detail about cinderella that could identify her. it was part of the spell cast on her to protect her from her wicked stepfamily. but the prince found the shoe on the ground and said: yeah i could work with this. it's obviously glass, no human glass blower could possibly make this, it's made of magic, and therefore charmed to fit only one person. he literally out-tricked the fae to find a girl he danced with. imagine that he meets duchess, who despairs over the fact that her own prince is destined not to to be able to pick her out from a flock of other swans, and becomes determined to be the one to be able to find her when she transforms. he sees duchess being so mournful about her future and wants to see her smile that he takes it as his duty to make sure to find her and out-trick magic like his ancestors have done for generations. (with hunter and ashlynn cheering them on in the background lol)

I think we all need to conjure the image of Merlin sitting on Arthur's lap whenever a princess/noblewomen comes along to woo Arthur. The mighty warrior, killer of bandit losers, sword twirly hand gesture guy, Crown Prince of Camelot just straight up panics and his natural reaction is to pull Merlin onto his lap and say he's gay for his manservant or throws Merlin over his shoulder and runs away, far away from the beautiful women.

My boi Merlin however wonders why Arthur doesn't just court someone already and stop trying to get him in trouble with Uther or his Uncle Gaius who keeps his fluffy caterpillar eyebrow in constant doom mode; Merlin is not in the mood to deal Arthur's romantic inability nonsense and people thinking he and Arthur are together when they're obviously not.

Seriously they're not together...they both protest loudly as Arthur holds a pantless manservant wearing a loose and very familiar red tunic whilst the prince himself is shirtless and the laces on his breeches are untied.

DATV Mini-Rant about the lack of Lyrium Potions in this Game

A small thing that immediately made my stomach drop when playing DATV was the fact that there are no lyrium potions.

I did an elective on game design in university and chose Origins as my game of choice for my final essay because I always loved how much the game incorporated the world/lore in its game mechanics! Call it pathetic or sad (I won't blame you lmao) but this series was the first video game that engaged me so deeply with its story-telling that I wanted to dissect it. That's why I'm focusing on the lack of magical cocaine in a fantasy game series.

Lyrium is a substance that serves as a game mechanic and a major lore/world-building element. It's use is essential if you play the game as a mage or have party members that are mages - it replenishes mana in game, its use is central to being a mage within the story (harrowing, rituals, etc...), and it's a major export/plot relevant resource that is important to the world at large.

So imagine my surprise when I boot up DATV for the first time and there's no lyrium potions as a mage character. My main interest in the game series was for its lore and story (RIP) so I didn't look too hard into developer interviews or videos about the combat itself - it would either be good or bad, but that wasn't my main draw to the game. I kept playing, wondering if I would ever unlock another slot for potions, perhaps, but then it was abundantly clear that it wasn't the case.

It's a small thing, but popping a lyrium potion mid-combat has the same effect that hearing people say 'Maker's breath' and 'Thank the Maker' does. It's this little bit of world-building that reminds me that I'm playing a Dragon Age game. It's not just a 'mana potion' or some other glowy blue magic vial...it's this substance that's important to the world and that has a reason to be there beyond rejuvenating my mage.

It's the major export of Orzammar -> the pillar of its economy.

It's the substance that allows waking mages to enter the Fade -> it allowed me to save Connor Guerrin with the aid of other mages.

It's the substance that the Chantry uses to leash it's templars through addiction -> an addiction I encouraged Cullen to overcome in DAI.

It's the substance used in the Rite of TRANQUILITY.

It's the substance that allows my warrior character to take on the templar specialization in each game -> Alistair and Ser both talk about lyrium and its relevance to training (in DA2 you just do it lmao)

It's the substance burned into Fenris's skin by Danarius.

It's the literal blood of the Titans -> lyrium veins are literal veins (such a cool design choice in DAI to make them look like blood capillaries!)

And all the time in DAO, DA2, and DAI my mage characters were downing this substance like there was no tomorrow.

Even though the combat changed in DA2 and DAI they still kept lyrium potions for mages. Even though they simplified herbalism from DAO in the next two games, they still required the player to interact with the world and find the ingredients for these potions. It was this gameplay mechanic that linked the player to the world -> I know that I need blood lotus to set shit on fire, elfroot for healing potions/lyrium potions, etc... It was cool game design, having game mechanics and lore interconnected like this.

(Not saying that picking up dozens of elfroots was fun or the best game design, btw -> but it's just an example of how they linked the world and game mechanics together, and I like the intent behind it! Cool design does not equal effective design lmao)

What do we get in DATV? No lyrium, whatsoever, just healing potions.

Potions we don't even have to work to find or get crafted! Just break some green shit and there it is! We don't pick up ingredients or discover unique flora to each of these Northern Areas for our own use. We don't loot potions or ingredients from corpses, sacks, boxes, chests (etc...) to replenish our own stock. A healing potion in this game is not a potion you craft, made from ingredients you found, it's a button I press on my controller. It's lost that immersive link - especially when your companions can toss another one at you while being effectively immortal in combat.

The only new flora we hear of is Broma's Bloom which I did like the lore behind! It's used in dye to colour the Warden's armour and its growth is a sign that the damage of the Blight is lessening. I love that! That's a cool bit of lore! Especially since it's named after Andraste's mother in a land that is supposed to be extremely religious. Geographically unique flora and fauna (biodiversity) is just as important as architectural design when designing an area - DAI did this amazingly well with the different creatures and plants we could run into in each area!

The first time we meaningfully talk about lyrium is when we go to Kal Sharok for the first time - a decent amount of game time since the beginning of the game, depending how fast you play. And then, when we get there, the lyrium looks like a bunch of crystals from a 'grow your own lyrium' kit. The absence of lyrium from the game world and mechanics is something that was very hard for me to overlook considering its importance to every previous entry. Especially since in this game we address the fucking Titan's and what the fuck happened to them.

Just...imagine playing a mage in Dragon Age and not using lyrium?

This game is a death of a thousand cuts - so many small, meaningful world-building elements and mechanics brushed off - before fucking godzilla comes along and nukes it all with the handling of the main story/lore.
