Okay yes this is very late but I’m experimenting with an old notebook and made this space themed spread. The only problem thus far is that the pages are really thin so I’ve been needing to glue them together and idk if that’s a sustainable practice. But I am really happy with how it turned out.

Guys! My amazon order came in and look how gorgeous these notebooks are (click for full res)! And they’re so cheap too! Also now I have the whole mildliners set- I had the blue box last year but since they’ve kind of run out of ink I upgraded. 

I’m so excited (or maybe I’m just masking my fear of the start of my first full time semester with stationery frenzy)!

I started my new job today! After 2.5 hours of training I now know where most of the things are kept, and how to do most of the stuff that doesn't involve actual customer service. Oh, and the register. 

I’m hoping that if I get enough hours at this job I can afford to move out really soon because living at home is unbearable for a number of reasons. 

Notes are a result of my continued efforts to get a leg up for calculus come fall semester. I’m supposed to be working on some code too but I’m having a few issues installing the right software so thats been put on hold.

Having finally gotten my computer back, I’m back to business and getting a headstart on my August calendar (I keep all my papers in a binder rather than one journal bc I’m destined to tear out too many pages).

I’ve also got my first real complete shift at work that’s not training and there’s like… nothing happening? I’m getting paid to sit here stare at my phone and listen for a doorbell in case someone shows up. It’s strange.

Went to Daiso to pick up some stuff. The highlighters are almost exactly like mildliners except they aren’t double sided and are a little firmer. They’re also sold in color packs that exactly match but they’re only $1.50 because Daiso, so I figured why not try them. 

I also went to an indoor rock climbing gym which was really fun and tried boba for the first time after (I’m not sure I like it, the squishiness is kind of disconcerting) so it was a very eventful day.

I’m in a weird position with my calculus class- I passed AP Calc AB with an A junior year, and was able to use this to take Calc II at community college during senior year. However, I didn’t pass the AP test- so I don’t actually have any credit for Calc I (aka AB). That means this semester I’m going back and taking Calc I, and I really need to brush up because I haven’t done any math in months!

So I’ve been taking my opportunity this summer to get some review in, starting from the very beginning with these “a preview of calculus” chapter notes.

In other news, I’m done subbing and start my real part time job next week at a local pizza place. It’s a much steadier income which is what I need for moving out.  My freelance writing has me toiling on as usual, and with some articles due in uh… 5 and half hours so it looks like I better get to work on that. The procrastination is real guys.

My break at this substitute job runs from 12 - 2, so I decided to spend some time in Starbucks setting up the formula pages in the notebook I’ll be using for fall calculus. 

The free WiFi was nice but the store must have been 60 degrees and I was dying without a jacket. Meanwhile, outside was 90- there’s literally no winning.
