Hii!! I hope this isn’t too forward, I love ur civilian X AU and was just thinking over like what if one day he just. ran out of ideas on how to get the rest of the top 10 to stop fighting over him and coincidentally, he falls sick and THAT’S what makes them lock tf in lmao

Like maybe he’s been busy in his office job and also fighting the rest of top 10 whenever he’s in X form, that it doesn’t hit him that something is off until he sways on his feet on his way home from office job, and why is he feeling hot and cold at the same time,

All the top 10 catches wind of this and starts working together (begrudgingly, calling a truce) to take care of him, and also hating X more cuz where is this mans bf and why isn’t he taking care of his partner!!!

And X is like, relieved that at least now they’ve stopped fighting- then pauses and realises he probs just created more problems for his hero self to deal with and sighs in exasperation.

Sorry for the long rant, I just had to get this outta my brain.

But also, the way they'd start fighting over the best way to take care of him 😭 Cyan's singing lullabies while Ghostblade is trying to force the porridge he made onto X (it will be the best thing he's ever tasted in his life, but he's too sick to remember later), Queen has raided every pharmacy (she has somehow managed to get everything but the medicine he needs), Luo Li has somehow gotten hospital machinery into his shitty little apartment they've all crammed into and is taking his vitals, Nice is obsessively cleaning everything to make sure the whole place is sterile, E-Soul is standing by as like, a human defibrillator. Just in case. Big Johnny is purring (?) on his chest as he lays there helplessly. Ahu tries to imitate to little success. They get in each other's way and are just. so close to fighting, only to be interrupted by the tiniest sneeze to remind them why they've made a truce.

And they've all been superhuman for so long they can't remember what the fuck a normal illness is like LMAO (he just needs a few days of rest...they are not helping his ass by being there)

You know what I find strange about portal fantasy? There’s always this assumption that if more than one person goes into the portal fantasy, they came from the same place. There’s never a second portal halfway across the world, a person who you would be the complete opposite of at home but here you’re outsiders together. Imagine finishing your quest, going home, and realizing that you’re continents away from the only person who understands you, and you might never find them again.

hey, this might be a long one, no pressure to read it!! i just wanted to strike a convo about your kris meta + noelle readings

i like your krisassociation meta, but ive always been kind of confused on your readings of noelle? i dont fully understand where the interpretation of her disliking kris’s pranks comes from, as she finds them enjoyable- shes just shocked or afraid in the moment, like anyone would be and like she is when susie pranks her. i think the only time she’s shown genuine disdain for kris’s pranks are 1. the third mouse puzzle (which she immediately takes back bc she realizes kris was helping her) and 2. when she was a child and would cry from fear- bc she was just a kid. but i don’t see her looking back on those memories in a negative light, everytime she thinks about them shes smiling and doesn’t treat it too seriously. the one time it isn’t- during the ch4 closet scene- seems more like her mourning how close her and kris once were and being clouded by nostalgia rather than genuine dislike of their pranks

along with that, during the closet scene noelle is clearly lying to susie about how close her and kris truly were. which doesn’t mean that didn’t hurt kris, but i feel it’s important to point out that she wasn’t speaking truthfully because 1. she was with her crush and might’ve not wanted to imply romantic interest in anyone else and 2. she’s very much under the impression kris doesn’t care about her much anymore. not that she doesn’t care for them, she fully believes they don’t care for her. in chapter two, she wasn’t sure whether or not to call them a friend because kris hadn’t made their feelings clear after they’d both drifted apart. and if kris does call her a friend, she’s very happy! she spends the whole chapter yearning for their friendship but is unsure if that’s reciprocated

from what i understand, your kris meta presents kris heavily dissociating and changing as a person because of just generally how much their life sucks (dreemurr divorce, only human in monster town, dess disappearing, noelle and them drifting apart, etc you get the gist) and yearning to be someone everyone wants and likes (which is why ralsei exists) and shoving “the old kris” into the Soul- while the “new kris” is this hollowed out version of themself. this reading also focuses on kris’s gender through a transfem perspective. i like this a lot!!!!!!!!!!! i can see where the idea of noelle being ignorant and unknowingly hurting kris in multiple ways by trying to bring back their “old self”

i think some of your posts seem a little unfair towards noelle at times though, such as saying she was “the one at fault for giving kris the cold shoulder in a time of need” which i assume refers to after dess went missing and the dreemurrs and holidays relationships shattered? it’s absolutely true kris was struggling and probably really needed noelle, but noelle was also struggling, i mean, her sister went missing, and they were both kids… i don’t think the blame would fall on either of them. though i don’t think it’s unreasonable to believe kris might hold that against noelle, if that’s what you meant. and we also don’t know if it was kris who stopped reaching out or noelle who did! regardless- my point stands

noelle’s sudden concern for kris because of their “odd behavior” makes sense when you consider that, at least from what the audience has been shown, kris has only started acting unusually lately. if you go say, eight years drifting apart from someone and only really seeing them because of school and hardly ever speaking or hanging out, then suddenly they do a 180 and talk to you frequently, visit your father in the hospital repeatedly, and overall mannerisms are notably different, i feel you’d be at least a little shocked. in the weird route, she’s much more concerned for kris (and herself) than in the normal route bc i mean. she was literally pushed to kill a bunch of random darkeners and hurt a friend. in the normal route, she just seems shocked while recalling how different kris seems to susie. i don’t think any of this is totally unreasonable or from ill intention. which, unless i’m wrong, seems to be how you’ve been reading her

i think she definitely in general needs to accept kris has changed, but it’s hard for me to view her actions and words as malicious in any way, intentionally or not. i dunno, i just wanted to share my thoughts and ask for more of your own to help me understand where you’re coming from or be told if i’m misinterpreting anything !! sorry for the long ask! ^_^

yeah i do tend to write from kris's perspective, it's just what i've found myself drawn to most. i don't mean to paint noelle in bad faith, i'm just finding myself more interested in her flaws because i find them really compelling. what i've mostly been getting at is that noelle is truthfully very endeared by kris, but her going out of her way not to express that out of this preconception that susie somehow wouldn't be cool with it (noelle didn't get the polyamory tutorial) or otherwise not thinking it would be "right" to feel this way about kris is indicative of an attitude of hers that hurts them in a lot of ways without her realizing that's what she's doing.

i wouldn't say she's malicious at all, she definitely cares about kris a lot even if it's a bit warped through her nostalgia and maladaptive mindsets, it's just that her tendency to project onto others along with her refusal to acknowledge the ways in which she too has been failing to cope with things have led to kris being alienated further, and it already almost alienates susie! there's a much bigger arc being built up for her i think that will make these flaws more apparent and dramatic, as stories about teen's tend to get, and i find myself excited for that eventuality

Never getting over Fulcrum being a project manager...

Idk why, but something about that is so funny to me. Not just because the title of "project manager" is inherently kinda funny for a Decepticon, but also because-

1. It's vague sounding and hard to explain irl because it technically exists in multiple fields, like healthcare or manufacturing, which surely translates into canon in some way.

2. In canon, it's simultaneously a really mundane, innocuous sounding job, yet it's also a super morally awful position to reside over depending on the context. (*cough* forced colonization and cyberforming *cough*)

And 3. It solidifies the fact that behind all the surface level militaristic work we get with both the Decepticons and Autobots, there's also Cons and Bots with "normal" jobs in both factions.

Like, sure yeah we get scientists and doctors, engineers and programmers, but usually in big important or warfront positions. (For plot reasons, understandably.) But it's also really funny and interesting to think of those that worked background positions, or minor jobs.

Like an Autobot working in their equivalent of an HR department, or a Decepticon who runs one of their outpost's or starship's kitchens.

Just all the pre-war jobs that didn't just disappear with the war, but instead evolved to exist within the factions.

It's particularly funny with the Decepticons though, because it could be a super mundane job or situation, but because it's them, it has to have an air of ~e v i l~ to it, either legitimately and/or merely for the vibes, like Tarn's "performance reviews".

51. Meet ugly/awkward first meetings — pecco/luca, 639 words

As if his day wasn't going badly enough, the cute guy Pecco dumped three entire cappuccinos on is really, really nice about it.

“It's okay,” Luca—he'd introduced himself after the third apology—reassures him, yet again. “I didn't even like this shirt that much, anyway.” He tugs at the ugly, stained patch on the bright neon 46 logo, winking at Pecco conspiratorially. Pecco feels his heart sink into his stomach.

“Are you a big Rossi fan?” He asks, hopeful. There's no way he's making it to his meeting on time, anyway. He might as well savor the attention from someone this attractive for as long as he can while they remake the drinks. And if he watches motorsports, they'll already have something in common.

Something complicated crosses Luca's face at the question, but it's gone in an instant before Pecco can ask or apologize again. “Sort of,” he shrugs, “but I'm much more interested in you, I think. Where are you headed so fast you didn't see me in the doorway?”

Pecco flushes even redder than he thought possible, burying his head in his hands with a defeated sigh. “I'm interning right now, at the Academy,” he nods at Luca's ruined shirt with a grimace. “Well, until they fire me for being late, at least.”

Luca's hand freezes with his drink halfway to his mouth, his pretty eyes widening a fraction. “Oh?” he coughs, looking away from Pecco for the first time. Pecco finds that he's already craving his attention again, like an insane person. He seriously needs to get a grip. “What do you, uh, do there?”

Pecco sighs again, embarrassed. “It's nothing interesting, really, I don't get to go near the bikes or anything like that. I'm a graphic designer, but they pretty much just have me updating the website,” he shrugs, his shoulders making a bid to meet his ears. It's unattractive, he knows, his tendency to hunch in on himself, his Mama and Carola are always nagging him about it, but, well. It's not like Luca is going to remember this, remember anything other than the freak who spilled a tray of coffee on him.

“I think it's interesting,” Luca says, startling him out of his downward spiral. He's grinning, a little crooked, and Pecco notices for the first time the slight gap between his front teeth. “More interesting than what I do, really.”

Pecco's heart skips a beat, a flicker of hope in what might not be the worst morning of his life, anymore. “Yeah?” He smiles back, “And what's that?”

“Ah,” Luca looks away again, to the barista at the front putting lids on Pecco's replacement coffees. “Well, I guess you could say I work in fashion,” he says. He's still looking away. Not for the first time, Pecco wishes he were someone else. Someone bold enough to touch Luca's arm, demand his attention back. Someone interesting enough to keep it.

Pecco licks his lips, his throat a little dry. “Like, a designer?”

“Sometimes,” Luca shrugs. He's looking down at his phone now, frowning, then quickly sliding it back into his pocket. “That's the goal, eventually. But—” “For Francesco?” The barista interrupts, and Pecco winces, reluctantly pulling away to retrieve the carrier.

When he returns, Luca has collected his things, the expensive-looking leather bag slung casually over his expensive-looking jacket finally registering to Pecco. Of course, Luca works in fashion; he's too beautiful to be doing anything else, really. What was Pecco expecting, a fellow intern?

“What was it that you do—in fashion?” He asks as they're both heading for the door, one last pathetic attempt.

“Oh, right,” Luca smiles, sheepish, holding the door open for him. His hair glows in the sunlight, and Pecco tries not to stare as he tucks it behind his ear, exposing a shiny silver hoop. “I'm a model.”
