heyooo! jules here. i realized i haven't posted anything about the montevideo or buenos aires shows... i've been sort of on a weird mental space, in which i'm the happiest and somehow also mad? at the world? at myself? but anyway. this is about joy!
the show in mvdeo was amazing! my favorite so far before buenos aires happened. besides liam interrupting everyone's attention during giant rooks' set, the energy was so gooood. that performance of chemical, holy shit. oh, and i got to see three people at the back of the pit, when back to you started, one of them started singing without realizing and their friends were like "eh..?" and then the first person got sooo excited when they realized which song it was and started jumping while singing and hitting their friends' arms for them to realize what it was, hajshajsh. and then they all got it when the pre-chorus came around. it was so funny, and reminded me of the first time he sang it, watching the livestream with maia and how it also took us a few lines to realize but we were singing it, hajshajshs. anyway. great show!

we stayed at a place called 'casa vegana' (vegan house), it was sort of an hostal in an cute old building, and very big on activism. there were posters plastered on every wall. and vegan food in montevideo was good as well!

so definitely better memories were made in montevideo. :) even the ferry back to buenos aires was good! and okay... louis in vélez! what the hell. we were there? lol.
his energy, confidence and beauty were off the charts. not even the cold brought him down!!!
(fucking tumblr deleted a good chunk of what I wrote dammit)
i was saaaaaying... he could have used the catwalk more than three times. hajshaj. the energy in that stadium was so amazing... we were at the back of the front pit and everyone jumping up and down, and chanting on quiet times, and just... ugh. argentinian crowds are incredible! i've found my matches!

also... i'm sorry i couldn't ask tom about the color lights during beauty. i only had time for one question before he ran away from me and that was "what happened to lucia?". but it was a funny interaction, because he looked scared and amused that i approached him by name at the end of the show to thank him for his work, hajshs. and then when i asked about lucia, i was about to add that i was referring to the lightbulb but HE KNEW what i was talking about. so they know. 😌 anyway, he just said "couldn't happen today" or something like that, and i was like "why?" and he just shrugged and kept walking away and said i don't know while being amused and like withholding information. so there's that.
anyway, then yesterday we went to see giant rooks at a small venue, and pffft. i make a separate post on my blog, because... i'm still reeling from it, i think. they might be too, because they haven't posted about it, hhahshss.
anyway. stocked up on vegan alfajores (i had a flashback to the last time i was here like 12 years ago, and also bought so many alfajores to bring home, so to have so many vegan options so i could do the same? ooof! (they won't make it homehome but they'll last for a bit).

Depois de um tempo...

Hoje pela manhã eu estava pensando sobre mim mesma. Minha mente é muito ativa a maior parte do tempo e eu geralmente divago muito sobre diversos assuntos que me interessam de alguma forma. Eu quero manter o hábito de escrever sobre esses pensamentos para registrá-los de forma que eu consiga acessá-los no futuro e talvez me aprofundar mais em autoconhecimento.
Faz quase dois meses que eu mudei a minha dieta vegana para uma dieta vegetariana e essa escolha possui dois lados: particularmente eu me sinto melhor, estou comendo mais variedades de alimentos como queijos e doces, e isso está realmente me fazendo se sentir mais feliz. Além disso, não há dúvidas sobre o quanto isso pode ser bom para a minha saúde. O simples fato de consumir ovos novamente me faz pensar que a ingestão de proteínas me fará bem. Por outro lado, eu me sinto um pouco culpada em abandonar meus princípios políticos em prol da causa animal. Mas honestamente, eu quero ser um pouco egoísta nesse momento e pensar exclusivamente em mim.
Com isso, eu pensei em criar um diário alimentar e registrar tudo que como diariamente e incluir pesquisas que me motivem a me alimentar bem e beber água o suficiente, e também, diminuir o meu consumo de açúcar e alimentos muito processados. Estou me sentindo animada e vou inclusive começar um curso online sobre nutrição ou educação alimentar.
Como eu mencionei, minha mente está sempre cheia e passeando por diversos caminhos que estruturam a minha vida como um todo, então, eu também quero registrar sobre minhas aflições, anseios e pensamentos diários, como se eu estivesse monitorando minhas emoções e ao mesmo tempo, criando um diário para criar memórias mais consistentes para meu futuro eu poder acessá-las e talvez ter mais conhecimento sobre si mesma.
Neste momento eu me sinto bem, mas sempre tem algo que me incomoda um pouco, e eu me sinto culpada por inclusive dizer isso, como se eu não tivesse o direito de "reclamar" de algo.
Eu conheci o P faz alguns meses e, honestamente, eu não quero ter mais contato com ele por tudo que ele aparenta ser. É uma pena que as pessoas possam se tornar más por consequência de traumas e uma péssima estrutura familiar. Eu sinto muita pena dele, como se ele não tivesse culpa de ter que passar por tantas coisas ruins, mas, ao mesmo tempo, ele já é uma pessoa adulta e apesar dos erros dos outros para com ele, ele pode escolher superar isso e se tornar alguém melhor e fazer da vida dele uma vida boa, direita e honesta.
Muitas pessoas com problemas profundos já passaram por mim e eu realmente não sei porque eu tenho que lidar com isso. Genuinamente eu gosto de ajudar essas pessoas, mas acho que, infelizmente, ao ajudar eu me aproximo muito da pessoa, e mesmo que eu ajude no momento em que estou presente, quando tenho que ir embora, eu causo outro problema para a pessoa, que é lidar com a rejeição e o "abandono". É difícil.
Enfim, eu quero focar mais em mim e na construção da minha vida. Investir em estudar e aprender novas coisas, investir na minha saúde e talvez construir laços mais saudáveis. Eu tenho muitas motivações e por vezes me sinto perdida em como fazê-las acontecer. Espero conseguir evoluir.

After a While...

This morning, I was thinking a lot about myself. My mind is always racing, bouncing around to all sorts of things that interest me. I want to make a habit of writing down these thoughts so I can look back on them later and maybe get to know myself a bit better.
It’s been almost two months since I switched from a vegan diet to a vegetarian one, and I can definitely see both sides of this choice. Honestly, I feel way better now. I’m eating a lot more varietys — like cheese and sweets — and it’s really boosting my mood. Plus, I can’t ignore the health benefits. Just going back to eating eggs feels like it’s helping me get some good protein back in my diet. On the flip side, I do feel a little guilty for stepping away from my political principles regarding animal welfare. But honestly, I just want to be a bit selfish right now and focus on what feels good for me.
That’s why I’ve been thinking about starting a food diary to keep track of what I eat each day, along with some research that motivates me to eat healthier, stay hydrated, and cut back on sugar and super processed foods. I’m pretty excited about it and even considering taking an online course in nutrition or food education.
As I mentioned, my mind is always buzzing so I also want to write about my worries, dreams, and daily thoughts. It’s like keeping tabs on my emotions while building a journal full of memories I can look back on later to better understand myself.
Right now I feel okay, but there’s always something nagging at me and I feel guilty even saying that, like I don’t have the right to “complain.”
I met this guy, P, a few months ago and honestly, I don’t want to keep in touch with him based on how he seems. It’s a pity that people can turn out negative because of their past and a rough family life. I really feel for him; it’s like he’s not to blame for all the bad stuff he’s been through. But he’s an adult now and even though he’s had a tough time, he can choose to rise above it and make his life better.
I’ve met a lot of people with deep issues and I honestly don’t understand why I have to deal with it. I genuinely like helping people but when I get too close, it creates another issue when I have to leave: they end up dealing with rejection and abandonment. It’s tough.
Anyway, I want to focus more on myself and building my life. I want to invest in learning new things, working on my health and maybe forming healthier connections. I have a lot of motivations but sometimes I feel lost on how to make them happen. I hope I can grow.

RECIPE (4 servings each 375cal/4P/37C/20F):
-7-8 large potatoes WASH and CUT into wedges -5 cloves garlic -1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil -1/2 cup (125ml) water -juice of 1 big or 2 small lemons -some fresh rosemary -1 Tsp dried oregano -salt and pepper to taste MIX/COVER with aluminum foil or a lid and bake at 180C/360F for 50mins/UNCOVER and bake 10-20mins until nicely browned

PORTUGUÊS Quero experimentar incentivar o veganismo nos meus desenhos também. Como este é o primeiro, quero aproveitar pra esclarecer que veganismo não é dieta; veganismo é a filosofia de diminuir o sofrimento desnecessário o máximo possível. Isso é importante porque de nada adianta ser vegan e não cuidar da própria saúde, ser vegan e não se preocupar com o planeta, ser vegan e não se preocupar con justiça social. Desde que me tornei vegan, descobri muita comida nova. Esta aqui é uma boa entrada ou café-da-manhã: o pão pita (também tem outros nomes, como pão sírio). Ele é bem simples:
Misture 5g de fermento biológico com 3 colheres de chá de açúcar até o fermento se desmanchar.
Acrescente 500g de farinha de trigo e 2 pitadas de sal.
Depois de tudo misturado, coloque 300mL de água e 3 colheres de sopa de azeite, e mexa com a mão.
Quando tudo estiver misturado, comece a sovar na mesa. Pode por trigo pra não grudar, e sove até a massa ficar hidratada, mas não grudenta nem seca.
Deixe a massa descansando mais ou menos 30 min.
Corte essa massa em 8 pedaços, que vão ser os pães.
Abra a massa até ficar fininha, na mão ou com o rolo.
Descansa essa massa aberta por uns 10 minutos enquanto você preaquece o forno no fogo alto.
Põe no forno por 5 a 10 min, até ficar douradinho de um lado. Adoro fazer essa receita em almoços e jantares de família. Combina muito bem com outras opções veganas, como guacamole, vinagrete, faláfel, hommus e babaghanuj.

Mix 5g of yeast with 3 tea spoons of sugar until the yeast disolves.
Add 500g of flour and 2 pinches of salt.
After it's well mixed, start pour in 300mL of water and 3 big spoons of olive oil, and mix it with your hands.
When it's well mixed, start kneading the dough on the table. You may put flour so it doesn't stick to it. Knead it until it's well hydrated, but not sticky nor dry.
Let it stand for about 30 minutes.
Cut it into 8 pieces, that'll become your loaves.
Open and flatten them, with your hands or a rolling pin.
Let those loaves stand for 10 min while you preheat the oven on high.
Put them in the oven for 5 to 10 min until one side gets a bit darker. I love making this recipe on family lunches and dinners. It goes very well with other vegan options, like guacamole, vinaigrette, falafel, hommus and babaghanuj.

I wrote here as to why I hate Sakura in a very short post... It's not like I hate her cuz she is annoying or useless... I must say that's one of the reason. I hate her because she was an Ass towards every character in this series.

Well, Everyone would've considered them as Friends had one of them acknowledge the other as Friend....
Whenever Sasuke is near, Sakura would always wet over him... Sasuke never addressed anyone other than Naruto as Friend... The narrative never literally gave the audience a chance to deem them as Friends.
At the very least, we can take that Sakura is his comrade who has very lower relevance level than Team Taka in Sasuke's Bonds’ hierarchy.
Even if Sasuke stayed in the Village, he would've probably become friends with other quiet guys like Neji or Shino.... But not Sakura because she can’t see him as anything other than an object of Romance and he can’t see her as anything other than a comrade who worked with him.
