I love the way there are bhajans on Shri Krishna stealing makkhan and denying it in playful manner is the same theme in different languages.
(Meaning: mother, I didn't steal butter. But everyone applied butter on my mouth)
In hindi: मैया मैं नहिं माखन खायौ।
ख्याल परैं ये सखा सबै मिलि, मेरैं मुख लपटायौ
(The above seems like a different dialect of Hindi)

Bár még nem hagytam el a várost, máris eredményt hirdetek: a területi bajnokság győztese a minden nyelven teljesen értelmetlen nevű Kake Da Hotel büfé vajas csirkéje (butter chickenje, murgh makkhanija). Gratulálok! 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳💪💪💪
Hangulat: 5/5
A képek önmagukért beszélnek.
Árértékarány: 5/5
375 rúpia a város legjobb kajájáért, a Connaught Place-en - gondolom, nincs több kérdés.

Why Choosing the Best A2 Ghee in Mumbai Can Transform Your Health and Lifestyle
What is A2 Ghee and Why Does It Matter?
A2 ghee is made from the milk of desi cow breeds such as Sahiwal, Gir, and Red Sindhi. Unlike regular dairy products, A2 ghee is rich in A2 beta-casein protein, which is easier to digest and considered healthier for the human body. The traditional Bilona method is used to prepare this ghee, where curd is hand-churned to extract makkhan (butter), which is then slowly simmered to make ghee. This method not only retains the nutritional value but also enhances the aroma and texture of the ghee. When you buy A2 cow ghee in Mumbai, you are investing in purity, health, and tradition.

Why Bilona Method Ghee is Better for Your Gut and Brain
In an age of modern food processing and shortcuts, going back to our roots often reveals the purest secrets of wellness. One such treasure is Bilona Ghee – a traditionally made, nutrient-rich form of ghee that has been a cornerstone of Ayurveda for centuries. At Nature’s Adhaar, we follow the age-old Bilona method using jungle-grazing Gir cows, ensuring every drop of ghee is packed with healing energy and purity.

In this blog, we’ll explore how Bilona Ghee profoundly supports your gut health and brain function, backed by Ayurvedic wisdom and modern science.
🌿 What is Bilona Ghee?
Bilona ghee is made through a two-step churning process, starting with curd (dahi) made from A2 milk of desi cows. The curd is then hand-churned using a wooden churner (bilona), and the resulting makkhan (butter) is slowly simmered to yield pure ghee.
Unlike commercial ghee, which often skips fermentation and uses cream directly, Bilona ghee retains:
Butyric acid (supports digestion)
Omega-3 & Omega-9 fatty acids
Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K)
CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) – anti-inflammatory and heart-protective
🧠 How Bilona Ghee Supports Brain Health
Bilona ghee is deeply valued in Ayurveda as a brain-nourishing fat. Rich in healthy lipids and antioxidants, it supports mental clarity, memory, and overall cognitive health. Bilona ghee nourishes brain cells, enhances focus, and supports memory. Its healthy fats and Ayurvedic properties make it a natural, daily brain booster for all ages.
Rich in Healthy Fats: Your brain is nearly 60% fat. Bilona ghee provides the right kind of saturated fats that nourish brain cells and support cognitive functions.
Boosts Memory & Focus (Ayurveda Perspective): In Ayurveda, ghee is a medhya rasayana—a brain tonic. It's believed to balance Vata and Pitta, two doshas directly linked to mental activity and stress.
Carries Nutrients Deep into Tissues: Ghee is considered an anupana (carrier substance), helping deliver herbs and nutrients deep into cells, especially in Ayurvedic preparations like Brahmi ghee for mental clarity.
🌱 Why Your Gut Loves Bilona Ghee
Your gut is the foundation of your overall health, and Bilona ghee plays a powerful role in keeping it strong, balanced, and inflammation-free. Bilona ghee heals the gut lining, improves digestion, and reduces inflammation. Its natural butyric acid supports a healthy microbiome and boosts nutrient absorption effectively.
Butyric Acid Powerhouse: Butyric acid heals and strengthens the gut lining. It helps reduce inflammation, ease constipation, and support conditions like IBS.
Promotes Healthy Digestion (Agni Bal): In Ayurveda, ghee kindles the digestive fire (agni) without increasing acidity. A teaspoon of warm ghee in the morning is a time-tested digestive remedy.
Acts as a Natural Detoxifier: Ghee supports the removal of ama (toxins) from the digestive tract, particularly when consumed with warm water or during a detox (panchakarma).
🐄 Why Jungle-Grazing Gir Cows Make It Better
The purity of ghee starts with the purity of the cow’s lifestyle. Jungle-grazing Gir cows naturally produce more nutrient-rich, medicinally potent milk. Our Gir cows roam freely, consuming wild herbs and grasses. This natural lifestyle enhances the milk’s quality, resulting in ghee that's richer in nutrients and healing energy.
At Nature’s Adhaar, we go a step further.
Our Gir cows roam freely in forested areas, walking 7–8 km daily, consuming over 70 types of medicinal herbs and grasses.
This creates milk—and eventually ghee—that’s naturally infused with potent, earthy nutrients.
The result? A richer aroma, golden hue, and deeper healing properties.
🕉️ Bilona Ghee in Daily Rituals
Morning Ritual: Mix 1 tsp of ghee in warm water to awaken digestion.
Brain Fuel: Add to herbal teas or coffee for focus without caffeine crash.
For Kids: Boosts brain development and immunity naturally.
Cooking Medium: High smoke point means it's safe even for high-heat cooking.
🌼 Ghee as a Lifestyle, Not Just a Food
Bilona ghee is not just a kitchen staple. It's a sacred, healing fat with centuries of wisdom behind it. Whether you're following an ancestral diet, practicing Ayurveda, or simply seeking clean nutrition, this golden elixir can transform your gut and mind from within.
“Let food be thy medicine” — and in that medicine chest, Bilona Ghee is a crown jewel.Experience the purity of Nature’s Adhaar A2 Gir Cow Ghee – made with love, tradition, and jungle-grazing wisdom.

Made from A2 milk sourced from native Indian Gir cows, this ghee offers a range of health benefits, from boosting immunity to supporting digestive and cognitive health. Discover how this authentic, hand-churned ghee can be a perfect addition to your daily routine.
The Essence of Traditional Goodness
Ishavasyam Vedic A2 Ghee is crafted using the finest A2 milk from Desi Gir cows, a breed native to India. This milk, rich in nutrients, is processed using a time-honored Vedic method that preserves its healing properties. The process begins with boiling fresh, raw milk and converting it into curd in a clay pot. The curd is then hand-churned using a wooden churner, and the butter (makkhan) obtained is gently boiled in an iron vessel over a cow dung fire. This traditional method ensures that every drop of ghee is packed with nutritional value and Ayurvedic properties.
Key Ingredients and Preparation
A2 Milk: The milk used is sourced from Desi Gir cows, which produce A2 beta-casein, known for being easier to digest and better for health compared to A1 milk.
Traditional Vedic Process: The milk is turned into curd, churned by hand, and boiled using a cow dung fire, making this ghee a rare and pure product.
Natural Additives: The process avoids any artificial preservatives, ensuring that only the most natural and medicinal ghee reaches your kitchen.
This hand-churned, medicinal, and purely natural ghee retains all the essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, including Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Iron, Sodium, Calcium, and Protein.

Traditional Bilona Method for Making A2 Cow Ghee Explained
Introduction
A2 Gir Cow Ghee is a golden elixir known for its purity. It has been a staple in Indian kitchens for centuries. But what makes the best pure A2 Gir Cow Ghee in India special? The answer lies in the traditional bilona method. Let’s dive deep into this time-honored process and why it’s the best choice for your health.
What is the Bilona Method?
The bilona method is an ancient Vedic technique for making ghee. Unlike commercial methods that use machines, this process is slow and traditional. It preserves nutrients and enhances the taste of A2 Gir Cow Ghee.
The process involves churning curd instead of directly boiling cream. This retains the essential nutrients, making it the best organic ghee in India.
Step-by-Step Process of Making A2 Cow Ghee
1. Sourcing Pure A2 Milk
The first step is selecting A2 Gir Cow’s milk. These cows belong to indigenous breeds and produce A2 beta-casein protein. This protein is easy to digest and packed with nutrition.
2. Setting the Curd
The fresh A2 milk is boiled and cooled to a warm temperature. A small portion of curd is added, and the milk is left overnight to ferment. This forms probiotic-rich curd, essential for high-quality A2 Ghee.
3. Traditional Hand-Churning (Bilona Process)
The curd is churned using a wooden bilona. This method creates makkhan (butter) while separating buttermilk. Unlike commercial ghee, this technique enhances the ghee’s texture, aroma, and taste.
4. Slow Heating of Makkhan
The freshly churned butter is slowly heated over a low flame. This process eliminates water content, leaving behind pure A2 Gir Cow Ghee. The ghee turns golden with a rich aroma, a sign of its purity.
5. Natural Filtration and Storage
Once the ghee is ready, it is filtered and stored in glass or clay pots. This preserves its purity and enhances shelf life without preservatives.
Why is Bilona Ghee Better Than Regular Ghee?
Many brands use cream-based methods that compromise quality. The bilona method ensures:
Higher nutrient retention
No artificial preservatives
Rich aroma and grainy texture
Enhanced digestion and gut health
This makes it the best organic ghee in India, perfect for daily consumption.

Health Benefits of A2 Gir Cow Ghee
1. Boosts Immunity
Rich in antioxidants, A2 Ghee strengthens the immune system. It fights infections and keeps the body energized.
2. Supports Digestion

3. Enhances Brain Function

The Role of Dairy in Festive Rituals Across India
India’s festivals are as diverse as its cultures, yet one thread runs consistently through all of them – the use of dairy in rituals, offerings, and celebrations. From the snowy Himalayas to the lush coasts of Kerala, dairy holds a sacred and emotional place in Indian homes. It is more than just food; it is a symbol of purity, abundance, and divine connection. At Made of Milk, we honour this tradition through our commitment to natural dairy products that bring authenticity and goodness to every festive occasion.
Our farm-fresh cow and buffalo milk, makkhan, paneer, curd, ghee, yogurt, and traditional sweets are carefully crafted to uphold the sacred place dairy holds in Indian rituals. We believe that what nourishes the body should also enrich the spirit. That is why each of our products is made without harmful chemicals or synthetic additives, staying true to time-honored practices.
Dairy and Devotion: A Timeless Connection
In Indian culture, dairy has always been closely associated with divinity. The sacred cow is revered not only as a symbol of motherhood and nurturing but also as a source of pious offerings in daily and festive rituals. Milk, ghee, curd, butter, and paneer are used in poojas, temple offerings, and spiritual ceremonies across the country.
At Made of Milk, we offer dairy products that are clean, fresh, and deeply rooted in this tradition. Whether it's cow ghee for a diya or raw milk for a kalash, our products are created to support these age-old rituals with purity and reverence.
Holi: A Festival of Colors and Dairy Delights
Holi, the festival of colors, also celebrates dairy in the form of refreshing drinks and sweet treats. The classic thandai, often served chilled, is made from milk blended with nuts, saffron, and spices. Our special thandai matka mali kulfi and flavored lassis like kesar and nuts lassi or malai lassi bring a rich dairy experience to your Holi gatherings.
For those who observe fasting or traditional rituals during Holi, dairy-based sweets like anjeer malai barfi, rose barfi, and makhana dryfruit ladoo from Made of Milk offer a nourishing and festive indulgence.
Janmashtami: Honoring Krishna with Makkhan and Milk
Lord Krishna’s love for dairy is celebrated joyfully on Janmashtami. Temples and households across India offer white butter or makkhan, mishti doi, milk, and curd to the deity. The story of little Krishna stealing butter from pots is a cherished part of Indian mythology, and dairy continues to be central to the rituals and offerings of this day.
Our natural white butter, made from buffalo milk, brings back the simple goodness that these stories celebrate. Paired with milk sweets like kesar mawa peda and kesar malai puri peda, our offerings help you recreate the charm of this beloved festival.
Diwali: Lighting Up Lives with Ghee and Sweets
Diwali is a celebration of light, wealth, and family. Ghee, an essential part of traditional cooking and lamp lighting, plays a central role in this festival. Ghee diyas are lit in every home as a symbol of positivity and purity. At Made of Milk, our buffalo ghee and cow ghee are prepared using traditional methods to preserve their richness and aroma.
Apart from lighting lamps, Diwali is also about gifting and enjoying sweets. Our motichur laddu, kaju katli, milk cake, rasgulla, and dry fruit sweets are all made using fresh whole milk and condensed milk, offering you the taste of tradition in every bite.
Navratri and Dussehra: Sattvic Foods and Ritual Dairy Offerings
During the nine days of Navratri, many people across India follow a sattvic diet, avoiding grains and focusing on natural, light foods. Dairy products such as yogurt, white butter, paneer, and milk become staple offerings and daily food items. In southern India, Pongal is a harvest festival that celebrates nature’s bounty with a special dish called Pongal, made from rice, lentils, jaggery, and milk. Boiling milk until it overflows is considered a sign of prosperity, and this act is often performed at sunrise as part of the ritual.
Our full cream buffalo milk and whole milk, sourced from our Lonavla farm, are perfect for preparing traditional Pongal and other milk-based dishes. The richness of our milk enhances flavor and pays respect to the significance of this age-old custom.

What Are the Best A2 Desi Ghee Sourcing Methods?

When we consider sourcing the best A2 desi ghee, we must think about the practices that not only ensure quality but also respect tradition. By focusing on indigenous desi cows and utilizing methods like Bilona, we can preserve the unique nutrients in the ghee. However, sourcing from ethical, small-scale farms is just as essential for sustainability and animal welfare. So, what specific practices should we prioritize to guarantee that we’re getting the most authentic and healthful A2 ghee possible? Let’s explore this together and uncover some insightful approaches.
Traditional Sourcing Practices

In our quest for the finest A2 desi ghee, we prioritize traditional sourcing practices that guarantee quality and authenticity. We focus on sourcing milk from indigenous cow breeds, particularly the desi cows, known for producing rich A2 milk. This commitment allows us to create ghee that not only enhances the flavor of our dishes but also supports local agriculture and heritage preservation.
Utilizing the age-old Bilona method, we ensure that our ghee retains vital nutrients. The process involves boiling the milk, fermenting it into curd, and hand-churning it to separate the curd from buttermilk, resulting in pure ghee that’s free from additives.
We source our milk from small-scale, ethical farms that prioritize sustainable grazing practices and animal welfare. This approach not only promotes the health of our cows, treated with ayurvedic remedies, but also guarantees the highest standards of hygiene.
Through rigorous quality assurance measures and lab tests, we verify the authenticity of our ghee. With daily farm-to-doorstep delivery, we ensure that every jar of our A2 desi ghee is fresh, pure, and ready to enrich your meals.
Importance of A2 Breeds

Understanding the significance of A2 breeds helps us appreciate the quality of A2 desi ghee we create. A2 milk, which comes primarily from Indian Desi cows, is notably different from A1 milk produced by foreign breeds. The key distinction lies in the amino acid variation in the beta-casein protein—A1 milk contains Histidine, while A2 milk contains Proline. This difference not only enhances the milk’s nutritional profile but also contributes to better digestive health and fewer allergies.
As we witness a growing consumer trend towards health-conscious dairy choices, the demand for A2 milk is surging globally. Research indicates that A1 milk is linked to various health issues, including metabolic diseases and digestive discomfort, making A2 milk a healthier alternative.
By sourcing our ghee from indigenous A2 breeds, we ensure that our product isn’t only richer in nutrients but also promotes animal welfare and sustainable farming practices.
In supporting A2 breeds, we contribute to the preservation of heritage cattle and local agriculture. This commitment to quality and sustainability ultimately reflects in the A2 desi ghee we produce, enriching our health and culinary traditions.
The Bilona Method Explained

For generations, the Bilona method has been revered as a traditional process for making A2 desi ghee, showcasing the art of dairy craftsmanship. This method emphasizes quality and health benefits over speed, ensuring that we preserve the nutritional value of the ghee.
The process begins with sourcing A2 desi Cow milk, which we boil for safety. Once cooled, we add curd and allow it to ferment overnight. After fermentation, we churn the curd using a wooden churner, known as Bilona, to separate the butter from the buttermilk.
Once the buttermilk is removed, what we’ve left is the floating makkhan. Finally, we gently melt the makkhan over firewood, transforming it into the aromatic A2 ghee we cherish.
This slow and deliberate approach not only enhances the flavor but also retains essential vitamins and antioxidants. By choosing the Bilona method, we’re not just making ghee; we’re connecting with ancient dietary practices and supporting sustainable, ethical sourcing.
Let’s embrace this traditional method and enjoy the health benefits that Bilona A2 ghee offers.
Ethical and Sustainable Farming

Choosing the Bilona method connects us to traditional practices that prioritize quality, but the journey doesn’t end there. Ethical and sustainable farming practices are at the heart of producing exceptional A2 desi ghee. By sourcing from small-scale farms that emphasize animal welfare and environmental stewardship, we ensure the highest quality product while supporting local communities.
Here’s what we focus on:
Ethical Treatment of Animals: Our cows, like the desi breed, thrive in humane environments with free grazing on organic pastures.
Sustainable Farming Practices: We implement techniques that conserve water and maintain soil health, minimizing our environmental impact.
Traditional Processing Methods: Our ghee is made using age-old techniques that preserve natural flavors and nutrients without additives.
Supporting Local Communities: By sourcing milk from local farmers, we strengthen rural economies and promote sustainable livelihoods.
These practices not only enhance the quality of our A2 ghee but also contribute to a more sustainable and ethical food system. Together, we can make a positive impact on our health, our environment, and the communities we support.
Health Benefits of A2 Ghee

When it comes to health benefits, A2 ghee stands out as a powerhouse of nutrition. Derived from the milk of A2 beta-casein cows, it’s not only easier to digest than regular ghee but also suitable for those of us who are lactose intolerant. Its unique protein structure resembles that of human breast milk, enhancing its digestibility.
A2 ghee is rich in essential vitamins A, D, E, and K, along with healthy fats like omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which support overall health. Butyric acid present in A2 ghee nourishes our digestive tract, promoting gut health and potentially alleviating digestive disorders.
Additionally, A2 ghee acts as a natural moisturizer for our skin and hair, helping to soothe dryness while providing hydration. Its properties can also support heart health by promoting healthy cholesterol levels and balanced blood pressure.
Moreover, regular consumption can aid in weight management by controlling appetite and enhancing metabolism.
With its multitude of benefits, A2 ghee truly deserves a place in our daily diets, enriching both our health and culinary experiences.

Ghee made from A2 milk contains essential vitamins like A, D, E, and K, along with antioxidants that help strengthen your immune system. In a city like Mumbai, where exposure to pollution and stress is high, this is especially important.
3. Enhances Brain Function
A2 ghee is packed with healthy fats that support brain development and cognitive functions. Children, working professionals, and even elderly individuals can benefit from regular consumption.
