Hi <3 of course you can! It is NOT a bad ask, I’ve been meaning to write a lil bit of fluff anyway. I was quite excited to write this :’) enjoy!!

People say that once you get used to sleeping next to someone, it becomes impossible to sleep alone. You thought it would be the opposite. You enjoyed sleeping alone, preferred it, even. You like the space to move and roll around and you like to wrap the blankets around you to form you into a burrito-like shape. It became somewhat of a joke between friends that when you finally did find a partner, you’d end up sleeping in separate beds. Secretly, you agreed.

For Arlecchino, nobody assumed she’d even find a partner. The woman is so closed off with her feelings that one wonders if she even had any, if they died along with her best friend and Mother so many years ago. When the topic of relationships was brought up (seldom as it was to even get past the first two sentences- she would shut it down before anyone could get anything out of her), her excuses were dismissive, claims of work taking precedence over any interpersonal relationships, claims of the not-so-secret but somehow very-secret project the Fatui are working on, and her biggest excuse yet- the children. “The children need a stable figure to guide them as they grow. Relationships are most definitely not stable. It does not teach them how to fight. Sorrow and anger make you weak, yes, but I would argue that love makes you defenceless.” would be a sentence she uttered often.

Of course, that was not the only reason. Processing what had happened to the people close to her is something she neglected to do, and she does not need to be haunted further by yet another shadow, or even worse, another conscious body following her around the way Clervie had, whether as a manifestation of her bloodfire, or a manifestation of her conscience rearing its head when she had worked so hard to pretend it doesn’t exist. Love is not something she should get herself involved in, she has told herself time and time again. She has stared into the mirror an endless number of times, both as a newly appointed Father and more recently, when she finds herself alone. Her priority has always been the children, and she refused herself the privilege of living comfortably. Until you, obviously.

When you first began sleeping next to each other, you had been dating for a while. It took a while for her to even let you into her house. You seem to notice that her house has the faint smell of citrus. Lime, perhaps. You wonder where it comes from, but you assume it's some sort of air freshener. When you first began occasionally sleeping over, her touches were few and far between. Not in any malicious way, of course, but almost like she was restraining herself. You were too, in a way, not wanting to overstep any silent boundaries she had set. It was an awkward time.

Now, though, after a long period of time of getting her to open up, she clings to you like a moth to a flame. Case in point, this morning. You wake up to the soft light entering your room, filtered by the curtains covering the glass. The first thing you notice other than the light is a pair of strong, muscular arms wrapped around your middle, clutching you and keeping you close. You let your hand gently move across the marred skin, feeling each scar and muscle of the arm holding you so tightly. A face is buried into the back of your neck, gentle breath tickling the skin, and displacing the hair there. Arlecchino’s body is warm, warmer than the normal person's body would be due to the balefire that courses through her veins. You try (and fail) to escape from her grasp with a little wriggle, but her arms only pull you closer, her voice coming out hoarse and gravelly.

“Stay,” she mumbles into your hair. “It’s early. There isn’t a need to get ready for the day yet.”

“I have to, there’s so much to do today.” you yawn, twisting your body to face her. Your arms snake around her, one under her neck and one around her waist. There’s sleepiness in her dark eyes, and she looks up at you groggily. She looks vulnerable like this, and you think she’s almost smiling. Almost. She groans slightly as she stretches out, her muscles rippling as she does so. Arlecchino’s face buries back into you soon after, and her grip on you doesn’t loosen in the slightest. One of your hands comes to gently caress the waterfall of snow white hair, occasionally painted with black streaks (and the one red one she touches up every six weeks), massaging the scalp and gently scratching whenever she lets out a soft sigh.

“You smell good.”

“I just woke up, I’m not sure there’s much to smell.”

“That may be the point. You do not need to put on any fragrance, I enjoy the scent of you. Just you.”

“You say, as if you don’t fill your home with the scent of limes. Limes, of all things.”

“That is not what we are conversing about. We are conversing about you, not some citrus fruit.”

You can’t the small chuckle that seems to escape your lips. She’s so soft like this, you think, you can barely believe her status in the Fatui (you’d forget entirely if it wasn’t for the glint of the dagger placed deliberately on her nightstand. She says it’s for your protection- you know she had it there before, too, but now she has a reason to keep it there). Her nails, filed to perfection, trace circles on your back, and her free hand pulls your thigh over her hip, bringing you as close as you can possibly get.

“Must you go? Surely, you can push back any arrangements you have today and stay with me a little longer.”

“You know I can’t, and neither can you. Do you not have that meeting?”

“Yes. With some other Fatui, but none of them are worth my time when you’re here. They mean nothing to me. You mean everything.”

“That is why I'll be here tonight. You can hold me again.”

You find yourself reassuring her a lot that you won’t disappear. You don’t mind. Eventually, after five minutes of pretend bickering, you relent to ten more minutes before she drags herself out of bed. By the time she’s changed from her pyjamas into her usual suit, her hair brushed and pinned back into her signature ponytail, any trace of the sleepy, clingy Arlecchino is gone. What remains is a stoic, unreadable woman who lovingly kisses your forehead before she leaves, a slight plea in her voice when she tells you: “See you tonight.”

Heyyy 💞🫶 I'm gonna answer two questions in this post:

1) How she will handle hate/ strong public reaction after their relationship is public?

2) Will she be successful after the reveal/marriage?

Right off the bat I am getting she's resilient. No matter what comes her way, she will survive cause she is a tough fcking b!tch. Maybe she has experienced handful of things before so, the public's reaction may not sway her that much. She would likely ignore them. Her personality is quite optimistic despite the circumstances. I am hearing God's fav child lol. & she knows it. Although initially, things will feel stagnant.

Maybe she will lose opportunities or rather the way she thought things will go ... be it public viewing her / passion projects, etc. Whatever it is, she will recieve an opposite outcome. That will have her taking a step back to reevaluate things. Where she wants to go from here, how she wants to clapback .. if at all ... overall, she will be quiet first. Taking it all in. I'm not seeing any frustration or losing my mind scenario. Instead, she will just observe the scene at first.

She is coming across a bit calculative. Definitely not the type to lash out or confront the heated pan. Instead she might analyse the pros and cons of the situations. Even try to understand why they are hating or giving such strong reaction. Is there anything useful in it for her? Maybe criticism that actually helps her be better? If so, she will self reflect and not partake in the drama. I am getting she might lose things. Maybe projects or deals. And that would stir the feeling of hopelessness. She may doubt herself. In extreme cases forget taking care of herself pushing her towards serious health conditions. I am sensing isolation to cope. But after a point, instead of giving her clarity, it will block her spiritual gifts. She might feel lost and unsure of where to go ... which may indulge her with shady opportunities/ people. For instance, she may think it's good, but it will be harmful for her. She will be so blindsided that she won't able to tell apart what's coming towards her is actually an ulterior motive. Scandals? Idk. Not getting a good energy.

Coming to will she be successful after marriage? Intuitively, I had received, she will be. Her manifestation is no joke. Universe really wants to give her so much ... all she needs to do is ask. Believe in her ability to recieve. However, I am also getting, she will be at a point in her career where things are going against her. She might get stuck in legal battles or unfair systems, I am seeing Korean flag so it's got something to do with SK. Her success would be blocked in one or other way, which might had her accepting projects/ deals that would create more controversies??? Or maybe those sneaky things will create additional blockages. Take it how it resonates.

That being said, I told you she's resilient and unreasonably optimistic sometimes. (I am seeing hoshi in gose boss ep 😂) ... so despite not able to know what's happening, why it's happening, she will hit a jackpot and be very happy ultimately. Her energy is very balanced if you ask me. Yes, she has indicators to fall into deep dark hole but she is also this bowl of sunshine who bounces back no matter what.

pls do a director’s cut commentary on Something Borrowed or Lost in Translation. i’m nuts for your iwaoi characterization. oikawa is a horrible little goblin and nobody does it like you!!

I think someone on Twitter once said that nobody writes Oikawa as batshit as I do, and I take that as a compliment and carry it with pride. The minute that shitty little weirdo showed up in Haikyuu I was immediately smitten because I, too, am a complete psycho and every single one of his deranged behaviors and decisions made perfect mathematical sense to me. I think the thing I most love about writing Oikawa as a balls out lunatic is how at once liberating and vulnerable it is to put all of your crazy on display like that: there is not a single fucking person who has ever met this guy who thinks he is normal-passing for longer than 3 business minutes. He has the hyperfocus of a military sniper, the emotional stability of a 13 year old girl who's about to pass her first menstrual blood clot, the self-control of a toddler and he probably has a 26 step skin care routine that costs more than everything on my bathroom counter. I am literally obsessed with this man. And--in my interpretation at least--that level of tits out insanity also translates into how he would manage his romantic relationships, which is to be a complete fucking psycho at Iwaizumi, a person who comes off as completely normal, but who--over time--you realize is just as bad as Oikawa in a completely different but equally troubling way. Like you do not sign up to a lifetime tour of duty with batshit crazy unless you, yourself, are batshit crazy.

This is a thread that shows up in both Something Borrowed and Lost in Translation, although obviously the universes in which they manifest are uh, extremely different.

Also, fun fact, I started to write the sequel to Something Borrowed, called Something New, where Oikawa gets knocked up and because he can't play volleyball until he evicts his parasite he decides to make Kageyama his pregnancy project and everybody is like "lol RIP to Kageyama, couldn't be me," because all of Kageyama's friends are assholes. Will this ever be finished? Who fucking knows. At the current moment, the file is like 10 pages long and currently on a scene where I gave Kageyama food poisoning from eating airport sushi in Qatar.

it seems like there’s no bad blood between them. they really enjoy each other’s company and are eager to see what new projects they’ll undertake and what achievements they’ll reach together. they’re very hard workers, putting a lot of effort into everything they do, and they genuinely want this group to succeed. however, lately, they’ve been feeling like they’re being tricked or played. some members aren’t doing well, and it feels like some are being portrayed in a way that doesn’t reflect who they truly are. there’s a sense of, “oh, i’m being tricked” or “they’re doing this on purpose.” but they know that this isn’t who they truly are. it seems like all they wanted was to show others how much effort they put into everything and how hard they work, but they feel hurt and disappointed that people misinterpreted that. they might be thinking, “why can’t you see how hard i work?”

besides that, it feels like they really encourage each other and make an effort to be there for one another, helping the group feel stable and supporting each other’s overall stability. they’re aware of the incredible things they’ve been manifesting for the group and appreciate the steady growth they’re experiencing, which excites them about the future. however, there are also some underlying fears or worries. they understand how challenging this industry can be, and there’s a lingering concern that things might not work out in their favor. despite their hard work and dedication to their dreams, there’s a fear of potential disappointment. but the girls themselves have changed a lot. whatever was shown in the documentary is not who they are now. they’ve undergone a significant transformation, both individually and as a group. once they began working together and viewing things from a new perspective, all of them evolved. after leaving the survival show, many of them shifted their outlook and started to see things differently. their connection has definitely experienced a profound change.

at the same time, i'm also seeing that they might seem close to each other, but behind closed doors, their communication doesn’t seem as strong. it feels like some of them are walking on eggshells, hesitant to express everything they want for fear of causing any tension. it seems like there are opinions they hold back on, carefully choosing their words to avoid disruption. there is a genuine desire to maintain a harmonious relationship and to keep the group strong.

when it comes to the whole manon situation that arose from the documentary, it seems that while they were on the show, they were very aware of the power she held, which made them feel incredibly stressed and influenced their actions. they recognized that manon had a unique energy and presence that allowed her to get what she wanted, and this realization made the girls feel insecure and added more pressure on them to perform better, while manon felt quite differently about the situation. now, it seems they view her in a different light, as they’ve moved past that period and found closure. they feel more comfortable with each other now, but as the situation resurfaces, it’s causing them pain. this ties back to the trickery i mentioned earlier. they are currently trying to let go of the past and take time to heal and clear their minds, especially after seeing all the comments and discussions about the topic.

☆ SkyVic canon divergent fanfic recommandation ☆

If you want a fluff fanfic that shows a potential story of how Sky and Viktor could've fallen in love, this it perfect. It takes place during season 1 and Sky is alive (duh). It's VERY well written and It's currently on chapter 7/12. Obviously, it's canon divergent but the depiction of the characters is pretty accurate. I couldn't find the author tumblr (pls manifest yourself if you end up reading this), but they did an incredible job and is feeding us, starving SkyVik fans, very well.

Update on my own fic : So I already finished chapter one (yay) and it should come out soon. I plan to make 3-4 chapters in total and I will gradually start posting the illustrations way after, whenever I have more time (finals are killing me). Anyway, enjoy!

there is functionally no difference between self-insert and x reader imo. the communities overlap so much they're basically a circle. and while it's possible to come across someone who writes self-insert and not x reader or someone who only writes x reader but never self-inserts, its extremely unlikely. they're the same community to me and most other people

like i cant emphasize enough that they're just the same thing. but i figure you're asking something else so i'll explain like this.

if you want to get specific and technical, on the perspective of writing - "self-insert" tends to be when the author of a fic is injecting themselves wholly into the dialogue and story they're writing. this can be appearance specificity or character traits or actions. but it ultimately means that the author is in some form, directly putting themselves in the story. some authors write self-insert in second pov and some in first.

"x reader," tends to lean more towards a non-appearance specific character. reader can be a manifestation of anyone, not necessarily the author and tend to take on their own livelihoods. none of what i've just said is strict or finite, they're just general trends. they're more akin to an OC in terms of story telling and as a sub category of fic are defined by the use of second person pov for the most part.

this difference is ultimately very arbitrary and this distinction is kind of pointless to make which is why i have to emphasize that i use them interchangeably. most people who write x reader will inevitably have pieces of themselves appear in their x reader which is by definition a kind of self-insert.

the reason people tend to shit on "self-insert" is when things go untagged that break the immersion of a fic. it's completely fine if an author wants to write about them, specifically, screwing their blorbo. but as someone reading a fic, specifically if you're going into the x reader tag - you'll want to be able to project some parts of yourself in the story your reading and it can be frustrating to come across that.

that being said, no reader is entitled to that. nothing can be completely catered to everyone and if an author wants to post the most specific fic ever about themselves that's their prerogative. the only thing the author is responsible for is tagging it correctly.

but a lot of people (very entitled people) feel like everything has to be catered to them, and this entitlement appears doubly in the x reader genre because it involves and engages the audience more than other fics do.

so the reason people dislike self insert specifically is because it isn't catered to them. i do think the way things go untagged is a huge issue and i think inclusivity is something worthy of being discussed - but ultimately there is nothing wrong with raw-dog self insert. go and make yourself fuck that guy.

december 2024 project pan update

last month of the year! super swamped with studying for my ochem final this wednesday (manifesting an average/decent score 🙏🏽🙏🏽) but i didn't forget abt this! also it's been hard to get good pictures bc 1. i wake up after the sun rises and 2. by the time i get back from classes/clubs the sun has already set (chat why does it set at 4.15??? diabolical)

see below for picture progress vvv as usual, thanks to everyone who's been reading and keeping up!! really appreciate that <33 see you in the new years! (that's actually crazy 2025 already??)

1. morphe 2, hint hint skin tint (hint of honey)

still getting through this! a little more progress, and it seems to be pretty consistent with the past months, so i'm really happy with that! it's taking so longggg but SELF CONTROL!!

i'm leaving for winter break this week which means bedrotting and couchrotting so i'm predicting almost little progress over the next month unfortunately </3

2. flower by drew, petal pout lip mask (berry-more)

she's almost finished!!!!! one more month (but bc of winter break prolly until februaryy). lowkey actually loved using this, it works so well with a brown lip liner! we're in the final push to finsih this off!

my mom has the same one and over thanksgiving break she mentioned giving hers to me but i was like "noo pls i'm barely done with mine" and i showed her so hopefully i don't get it but i dont think i would be mad if she gave me her copy

3. maybelline, the nudes eyeshadow

again a slow going :( i think there's been super slight progress? i've been using bits of the top right as a mock-eyeliner pencil in my waterline kinda thing. i think it looks cute! ive also been using a bit more of all of the colours rather than focusing on a certain few, so maybe that's why. i included a side-angle pic to see that they are being used! (might do this more in the future, looks so cool!) (peep the rainy seattle view in the background,, UGH LOVE LOVE LOVE)

4. lakmé, absolute gloss artist eyeliner (black)

still figuring out the best way to track its progress lol, so any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

to be honest i used this eyeliner like, once after adding it to my project pan list last month. idk it's not something that i've been actively turning to. when i did use it, the brush (felt tip, which i much prefer over the brush tip of my current eyeliner) kept catching in my eyelashes and made drawing my eyeliner on take SO MUCH LONGER. but then i used this same eyeliner in the past so idk?? maybe i'll try incorporating its use slowly. but for now, prolly not as much lol

reflection and 2025 plan

revisiting my goals for this project - i had hoped to finish the burt's bees lip balm and the drew barrymore lip gloss. i'd say there was mild success? i ended up throwing out the lip balm cause it was a little old, and i'm almost through with the lip gloss! despite not exactly completing those goals, i'm still proud of how far i've come, and i still intend to continue through with my project pan! i'm going to keep my panning list small and just kinda go through my collection and just being more conscious of what i already have before buying anything new!

also on a similar note - this wasn't in my project pan but i've finished my first major project! this is the tarte shape tape ultra creamy concealer travel size. i got it as a replacement to my older one and have loved it! i use 53N and it's a smidge dark + orange but i lighten it a lil and use a blue colour corrector and i think it's fine. i tried taking out the stopper today but not quite successfully lol. despite that i'm considering this as an empty!! yayyyY!!!!!

Ok, hi it has been a really long time since i posted last time. BUT IM BACK! and im about to spoil u all.

So what do u need to let go to finally start moving, to stop being stuck? Bc trust me ur not the only one that been feeling like this (me too) especially with the retrograde season coming ( 7 planets in retrograde man we are so done).

So ur my babes. You all are carbon copies of me, bc my friend, you and i we struggle the same, we drink the same poison, everyyyyday and night. U see we are too much of hopeless romantics with too much of optimism and need (infinite) amount ot expectations of love. But you see that's our biggest most stupidest characteristic, bc in this age and time of situationships and all this new bullcrab, love is hard to come by. The things whether it's love, appreciation, and that sole amount of focusness almost doesn't exist ( it does dont worry and will probably find it one day but baby the time is not now).

Our night with his shinning armor is not here yet, he might take a bit longer than the average ( he needs to hurry the fuck up or else i as in we will lose it ) nor is our happy ever after. I feel like we have so much left to do, so much left to explore and experience within ourselves and outside that the universe or whatever thats planning our fates is saying that it's too soon for him to arrive yet.

So my advice? Chill out. Let go of love rn. Focus ok urself. Ur happy ever after and true love is yet away. So enjoy this state that ur in. Embrace yourself. Go out more. Show ur self more( maybe post on ig bro?)

Now this could be from anyone, mostly i see a male figure but could literally just be im general, you know how when u are familiar with something so u r adviced to start small and familiarize your self with the said thing? How long will they last?  Well, they did leave to go potentially die in battle without starting. But if we were to remove that, I’m not sure. I think not very long, honestly, but we didn’t really get that much of Matthias? So it could. And I know he’s basically manifested from Ortus’ five million word fanfic, so maybe?

How quickly did/will they fall in love?  Ortus has been infatuated. He projected all of his gay poet feelings onto Matthias since he started having gay poet feelings probably, and if he didn’t, then he definitely started pouring into it when all the other kids died and he had no chance of having any other means of exploring his sexuality. But also this is all constructed on projection and fantasy and not actual interaction, at which case, he fell head over heels or whatever the second Matthias breathed in reality in Harrow’s bubble (still constructed off of this fantasy but you know). If Matthias had feelings for him, I’m sure it’s driven by the fact the construct of him was mixed with said projection gay poet feelings, but if it wasn’t, then I imagine it would take a minute, because he didn’t really come off as a man for whom heroworship would do it for him. I’m aroace though so I don’t actually know how people work tbh.

How was their first kiss? They did go off to die together in battle, which might as well be a first kiss for Ortus, especially with how everyone in the Nine Houses behave. If they kissed for real, I imagine it’s nervous, maybe a bit clumsy. Ortus would be sweating, poor man.

Wedding:

Who proposed? If we made it to this, I think… probably Matthias? But potentially after having a deep discussion with Ortus, and not as a complete surprise, but Ortus would still be completely surprised.

Who is the best man?  Gideon, obviously. Ortus never properly apologized to her for also not saving her and it feels weird since she took his spot as necromancer to not give her the spot as best man.

Who is the bridesmaid(s)?  Harrow, maybe, it would also feel weird not to include her unless she didn’t want to. Anastasia herself, obviously, if she so wished it. It gets weird in the river, as you know. Abigail, too, but probably because she asked (Ortus wasn’t going to ASSUME she wanted to! Magnus would probably be with the other groomsmen, but Gideon I think still would have to be best man. For the guilt.).

Who did the most planning? Ortus. 100%. Even if Matthias had to just ask him theoretics to get the truth of what he’d want ot of it, a la ‘okay but what is your fantasy wedding, if there were no limits.’ And then we somehow meet what of those we can. So you could argue Matthias did it, but really, it was based on Ortus’ vision.

Who stressed the most? Ortus, 100%. He’s throwing up as we speak. If not Ortus, than his mother, which means Ortus again, because her stress will add to his stress.

How fancy was the ceremony? Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big. If they could reach his crazy demands, 10, if they could not, it’d still be an insane ceremony, I imagine. And honestly, out of her own guilt, I do think Harrow would want to allow it to be a huge affair. Even if she thinks it’s stupid. Even if it’s absurd. Anyway, the necessary funds and labor have been taken care of. Do not ever ask to pay it back, also it has nothing to do with putting Gideon in a suit that fits her forearms. Mind your business. Ortus’ vows take at least an hour.

Who was specifically not invited to the wedding?  Protesilaus…. Kidding…………. Kidding…. He is invited….. But Crux? He can die in a hole. Preferably he will be dead in a hole. He is not coming within two planets of the wedding if Ortus had his way. Hell, if Ortus’ mother had her way. 

Sex:

Who is on top? Hm. I think Ortus would bottom, but I don’t necessarily see him as being unwilling either way. I don’t know enough about Matthias to say, but if he’s constructed from Ortus’ fantasies, he probably aligns. 

Who is the one to instigate things? I think Ortus would feel more comfortable with Matthias initiating, past all Ortus’ weird feelings on all of it and everything, but I think he could grow confident in it with encouragement. If Matthias didn’t instigate things in a ‘timely’ manner, I think Ortus would seize his courage and try.

How healthy is their sex life? I think it’d be fine, probably, once we got some awkward conversations and catholic guilt out of the way. I think Matthias would be patient with him over anything he had hiccups with, and I’m not sure if Matthias himself has those hiccups.

How often do they have sex? Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now I’m not sure how to label this. I think not all the time, but I think not like. None of the time? How long do they normally last? Tbh, I actually don’t imagine long? I imagine Matthias has insane stamina if he’s based off that, and I imagine Ortus has stamina, but I can also see him needing recovery time after orgasm. But maybe he’s into edging (makes sense with his poetry lol) or chastity devices, which would make it longer. But once nutted, I think it’s time to settle in and cuddle and talk.

Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? I think it’s maybe more important to Ortus than Matthias. I think they would for that reason, but I don’t know if Matthias feels a need to always come or if he takes it personally if Ortus maybe has a bit of performance anxiety and doesn’t nut.

How many children will they have naturally? Hm. I don’t know if they would. I don’t know if Ortus would want to have children. There’s so much trauma there, and there’s so much trauma also about continuing the line, and he already had such a hard time with Gideon and Harrow and with every other child dying around him. I think maybe he’d be triggered by it and only do it if duty demanded it.

How many children will they adopt? See above, but I could see Ortus maybe adopting if some child really needed it.

Who gets stuck with the most diapers? Matthias. Ortus is dissociating.

Who is the stricter parent? I think… we go a gentle parenting approach. I don’t know if Matthias could be very strict without Ortus being kind of triggered, and I don’t think Ortus could be very strict without Ortus also being triggered. This is part of why I also imagine Ortus would avoid child-rearing.

Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? Matthias because Ortus is literally dying as we speak.

Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? Ortus is throwing up. Matthias is asking him to sit down and he’s packing the lunches Ortus started getting anxious about before it was even time to make them.

Who is the more loved parent? Possibly Matthias for all the reasons listed above. When Ortus isn’t dissociating, he’s reciting his own poetry at them and that’s kind of cringe, dad. [They still love him].

Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? Matthias. Ortus’ mother even. Grandma’s coming with all the sanctimony and self-righteousness of the Eighth house. She doesn’t say it but also you know she’d burn you down for implying her grandchild has ever made a mistake. You wonder about changing careers.

Who cried the most at graduation? Ortus. Also now he’s remembering all the children who never finished school because they died of a plague and he’s thinking also of tiny Gideon and tiny Harrow and how they were alone and he is sick to his stomach, also he’s proud of you.

Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? Ortus suddenly comes alive. He considers pulling out some low blows on Harrow, despite his guilt. Matthias is mildly impressed and a bit alarmed. He’s backed by his unhinged mother. It’s really not worth it to pursue legal action anymore. If Crux is somehow alive, he can choke on it.

Cooking:  

Who does the most cooking? I’m not sure really, the Ninth really isn’t known for Food. Maybe Matthias was from a time with a bit more food, or maybe Ortus wrote about foods he read about he never got to experience, and thus Matthias is a bit better at the foodstuff.

Who is the most picky in their food choice? Neither, I think. Ortus, maybe, just because he’s not been exposed to choices.

Who does the grocery shopping? I could see Ortus doing this. It can be a kind of mindless, soothing task, especially if he’s asked Matthias to cook it.

How often do they bake desserts? Is sugar too spicy for the Ninth House…. Just kidding, just kidding, I think they probably do, honestly, and I think they’d both enjoy it. Maybe they try new things together.

Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? I really don’t know with the Ninth House. My brain says meat, but moreso in the sense of like. Bone broth. But then I think of the cannibalism and I think maybe both of them would like things made of root vegetables and fruits, but honestly it’s still all ‘soup’ at the end of the day, not salad.

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? Matthias, I think, and Ortus would be very touched. Ortus, on the other hand, has set up many other elaborate things, and also written a ten-tome epic for his lover, and this one is better and different from the others he made, and Matthias is flattered but also a bit embarrassed by it but also supportive because they’d only last long enough to an anniversary if Matthias was supportive of Ortus’ poetic endeavors, since it’s since a huge part of his personality.

Who is more likely to suggest going out? I think actually they both would equally. I think if he noticed Ortus shrinking too into himself or a project, Matthias would say it. And sometimes I think Ortus just gets a hair up his ass and he has to go and so they do.

Who is more likely to burn the house down accidently while cooking?  Ortus. It is very embarrassing to be daring and fail spectacularly. He shall never cook again (he will).

Chores: 

Who cleans the room? Ortus. I actually imagine he’s got deep habits about cleaning (and hiding).

Who is really against chores?  Neither.

Who cleans up after the pets? If they have pets, maybe Ortus. Something in him still feels he has to hide the evidence.

Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? Also Ortus, maybe, if he feels rushed/like he has to hide something. Matthias probably only cleans if he feels like putting things up, especially because Ortus is kind of on top of it, and so he doesn’t really pick up when he doesn’t have the energy to take it where it needs to be.

Who stresses the most when guests are coming over?  Ortus. He’s been judged enough, thank you.

Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? Matthias. Ortus has cleaned this same spot seventeen times and somehow never noticed.

Misc:

Who takes the longer showers/baths? Ortus, I think. He got stuck on some line in his head he was considering rewriting and oops it’s been an hour now.

Who takes the dog out for a walk? Matthias. He wanted the simple directive of it.

How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? I’m not sure. I could see Ortus using it for inspiration, but I could also see him resenting things. It just depends. 

What are their goals for the relationship? Well, probably just to be happy, really.

Who is most likely to sleep till noon? Matthias. He’ll get up at dawn when he has to get up at dawn. He’ll sleep in when he has the chance. He’s apparently been fighting for a while now, so why not.

Who plays the most pranks? Ortus. He likes to see what he can get away with.

It's more common amongst people who aren't as into it, but I hate it when people view L as like the "hero" of Death Note. Like girl there are no heroes. Every character here sucks. He tortures people and sacrifices them to get clues deal with it we love him anyways <3

For Mello, I wouldn't say I DESPISE this since I get that it's people projecting and everything but I don't really see Mello as having religious trauma? Hell, I don't even see him as being that religious. I think the religious imagery was to give him more of a western mafia vibe, it doesn't play into any other part of his character. BUT i DO see him adopting a lot of these beliefs as a way to kind of fit in.

HELL NO. But for completely opposite reasons

L would get really pissed at my constant mess and get sick of me (I'm not even THAT messy but we can't all just live in a windowless room with nothing but a pc on the floor) but on the other hand I'd be so scared of Mello that I would do all the chores around the house and have to pick up his candy wrappers n shit it would be exhausting.

Oops I dropped my Des playlist. Out of all of these though I really like I'm Alive from Next to Normal. The character who sings this is a personification of mental illness or grief, and because Descole as an identity is supposed to be a manifestation of [REDACTED FOR SPOILER REASONS]'s hopelessness and despair I just think an internal monologue between him and you-know-who would be really cool. Also lyrics like "though you made me you can't change me, I'm a perfect stranger who knows you too well."

I'm not gonna write a manifesto or anything for Uriel because. I have plans for him :3c but Takes Me Nowhere by The Offspring sure is a song for him.

KeyMates World-Building: Psychic Links

So, my KeyMates serial (coming this year) is set in an alternate version of Earth, where psychic abilities are real and documented cases, with a subtype of psychic ability being what people interpret as "Soulmate Bonds". Here's a rundown of how all of that works.

First off, we have the powers, which are split off into three:

1- Manipulation of Physical Properties

Telepathy, fire, magnetism, electricity, everything physical is in this category. If you can touch it, and observe it, then it's in here.

2- Manipulation of Psyche

This is the more psychological aspect of psychics. Telepathy, hypnosis, memory shifting, mind control, all that jazz. If it sneaks into the victim's mind and gets it directly, then its psyche manipulation!

3- Manipulation of Metaphysical Concepts

Luck, fortune-telling, speaking with the dead, all of these are abstract psychic abilities, dealing with metaphysical concepts. All of these make up the third type of psychic ability, that is neither about the real world, or the human brains.

These powers have many ways of manifesting, and they can either be independent to a person, or be reliant on another to function, which is the basis of the series.

1- Omni-Sensing ESP

These are the general types of psychics. The ones who can feel and understand everything. Their abilities, however they manifest, are entirely under the one person's control and reliant on no one else. At 11% of the human population, they are the most common type of ESP.

2- Uni-Sensing ESP

Uni-sensors are a more limited type of psychic. It is a bond between two people, manifesting as some kind of the three powers listed above. The two people need to cooperate together to make the power work, and this bond basically works as Soulmate Bonds do. Yes, this whole series is to break down the idea of having to make some type of relationship work while being basically chained together. Written by an aroace writer who knows their stuff.

Actually kind of excited to see what will allow Shauna to conjure her up again.... In my mind the Jackie we've seen thus far truly was a hallucination because she was so clearly vocalizing Shauna's subconscious desires BUT I desperately want them to actually communicate. I want Shauna to see Jackie and have a conversation with her and for it to genuinely feel like Jackie's ghost. Need Jackie to be tangible I miss my girl so bad. I know she's got shit to say LET HER SPEAK! I know you might not answer this ask but I'd love your thoughts !!!!
