I finished logic route :(
My thoughts on Chapter 3b logic route,,,,
I feel really bad for feeling relief after realizing Hinako was chosen over Gin,,, and I let out a cry when Hayasaka was the first doll to be picked!!! ToT
When midori picked anzu,,, good god,,, I was so emotionally devastated I couldn't go on
But I had too!!! So when Ranmaru died,,, my partner changed the final dialogue to "Sara, I'm sorry." And I had to do a double take while watching the spinner animation go offfff ToT oh my god I felt DEVASTATEDDDD
I'm glad gin is okay,,, he's my baby boy but,,, at what cost ToT
KURUMADA RUNNING OUT OF BATTERY HURTTTT,,, AND MAI GETTING STABBED!?!?! I WAS FINALLY STARTED TO GET ATTATCHED TO HER,,,, and maple,,, poor girlie,,, forced to he straight,,, /J
Midori showing fear,,, it was really nice to see Maple almost get him. And Midori's death,,, it was satisfying,,, I like him as an antagonist, he's really interesting
Now,,, Keiji,,, I've never been so happy to see that stupid fake blonde. At the end of the trial!!!! I was so happyyyy!!! ToT Sara needs a friend to rely on,,, just anybody,,, Sou is a little prick, Gin shouldn't have to be so burdened,,, Q-Taro,,,
Q TARO FUCKING DIED
I DIDNT EVEN LIKE HIM THAT MUCH!!! He was a nice character ig and I thought of him pretty fondly, I think his final words with Gin was really sweet,,, Even though he's a shitty guy,,, I'm glad his final act was a selfless one
I think after all this,,, I just want Sara to be happy :(

Wow, this is 1931 home in Winnetka, Wisconsin is impressive. 9bds, 9ba, $8.9M.
Wow, look at the carved wood walls. There's an original tile floor in the foyer, too, and a leaded glass inner door.
You know, I like the white carpet on the stairs. I wouldn't want to clean it, but it looks beautiful. This home has those bas relief ceilings, too.
Is it the way they're photographing the room to get the ceiling in, or are the ceilings low? The large sitting room has wood paneled walls to match the entrance hall, plus the same ceiling and a beautiful fireplace.
Very classy guest powder room. Black marble floor with white veining, and the marble counter on top of an antique dresser has a sink ringed in gold. The gold wallpaper ties it all in.
Comfy home office. The rounded desk looks art deco and is nestled perfectly in a triad of framed windows.
The library shelving is gorgeous. Oblong octagonal cutouts in carved shelves, and that gorgeous fireplace in the middle has a pediment with a pineapple and a black & white marble surround.
I like this light dining room. Cream and pale blue bas relief ceiling is so soft and stunning.
These cheery bright dining spaces are so pleasing. This is a breakfast room in creamy white and it gets a lot of sun from the windows to the garden.
The kitchen is a professional chef's kitchen. It begins with a large pantry done in the same cream color with large glass paned doors on the cabinets so you can see the dishware. The kitchen cabinetry looks maple and has a cute corner fireplace, black countertops and copper pots hanging over the double island.
At the top of the stairs on the 2nd level is a magnificent oval leaded glass skylight. The glass panes are opalescent. And, there's a large sitting room up here, too.
They've made a walkway between 2 area rugs in the huge primary bedroom. On one side is a lovely mahogany canopy bed that contrasts well against the white room and the other side is a sitting room.
There is a huge home office up hear with a pretty French Provincial desk and a chaise lounge.
The bath is nice, there's a separate room for the toilet, and a lovely vintage marble counter on the sink. Love the rust-colored marble on the floor.
What a lovely guest room. It's so large, there's a huge picture window between 2 full-sized canopy beds.
Down in the large basement is a rec room that looks like the ultimate man cave. Rich dark wood furniture, a red pool table with an unusual pool lamp- it's not the usual stained glass, this fixture has foxes in red waistcoats holding up electric candles - love that.
Wow, man cave indeed. That fireplace is the size of a room. You can definitely walk in there. And, look at the life-sized butler statue in the corner. Is he creepy?
The home gym looks commercial. Mirrored walls and a black ceiling make it look industrial.
Outside, the iron gate makes it look like a secret garden.
The hedges are cut in patterns.
It must cost a fortune to maintain these gardens. The property is 3.25 acres.
Is it me, or does the pool look like a fidget spinner.
I love conservatories and this one is lovely. The plants and wicker furniture really bring the outdoors in.
This is the prettiest tennis court with the trees and latticed fencing.
An elaborate play set for the children looks like it conveys.

Worldbuilding: A Stocked Pantry
If you want a healthy, vibrant culture in your story, you need two things in particular. First, your culture has to produce a surplus of food. Second, they need to be able to store it for later.
Both of these are tricky, and tend to feed into each other. But let’s talk storage.
At the most basic level, human bands store food by gorging when it’s available. This, of course, has physical limits, and it doesn’t store water-soluble vitamins and trace minerals you need daily. On top of that it means the person who makes a big windfall of food has to share with people who didn’t put in as much - or maybe any - work. This can lead to tensions.
(Anyone who idolizes primitive cultures should get dumped into one. If they last the week, they might realize one of their leading causes of death is homicide.)
Storage generally takes moving up a step to at least as much organization as herders, fishers, and farmers. All of which may grade into each other, depending on time, place, and environment. There was, at one point, a culture on the Pacific coast of Central or South America that farmed... not grain, but cotton. For fishnets. Their main caloric intake came from the sea, but they couldn’t do it without the cotton farmers, spinners, and weavers.
Whatever the culture or tech level, people are going to need skills, storage space, and time. Food has to be prepared for storage; even if you just toss it in the fridge or freezer, you generally want to make it containerized, and pick through berries to find any a bit moldy first. That’s on top of the time, tools, etc. someone needed to make said fridge.
If you’re freezing your own fruits and veggies, for example, you want to slice, dice, or spread bits out so all of it freezes quickly. Flash-freezing, if you can, preserves the maximum nutritional value and flavor. Some things need to be very quickly and briefly cooked (blanched) to freeze the best. And so on.
That doesn’t even get into the preparation needed for something as “simple” as dried fish or jerky, much less canning and preserves. Sure, there are root vegetables like parsnips that can be left in the ground until first frost, and may even be better that way - but you have to have that land.
(Space, time, skills and tools are required for most things humans want to do. Check out this vid on papermaking.)
Root cellars. Cheese caves. Smokehouses. Drying racks of meat and skins after a successful hunt. Vast boiling kettles of maple sap in the earliest spring, snow still on the ground. Make room for these in your world. Preparing and storing food implies people have a past, and expect to have a future. It makes your world live beyond the bounds of your story. Readers will remember that!

OC Poll Tournament Round 1 Character Announcement!
Thank you everyone who submitted! There are 12 characters in the running, so it will be a small tournament, but I hope to make this fun!
Here's the plan: I put the characters' names in a random wheel spinner, and whichever characters get pulled successfully will be up against each other in the first round poll! IF (and I'm totally not saying this because it happened, no way (sarcasm)) the wheel chooses two characters who are from the same writer, I'll reroll, since I don't think that's fair. I am putting the names of the characters and who they're up against down below, along with their pronouns and the blog that submitted them. If there's anything that needs to be changed, please let me know! After that, I'll work on the polls themselves, and I'll plan for them to be posted tomorrow at noon central time. They will be open for a week, so there's plenty of time to vote! If any of the participants wants to send me extra propaganda during the week, please send an ask or submit, so I can post the propaganda without comment. I think that's about it, but if anyone has any questions, please let me know!
Now, here are the characters and who they're up against!
Poll 1

Pinned!
This is just where I wanna put all the designs I’ve been making for all the cats I currently have on Clangen! There’s a lot of them so… idk, I reckon I can just queue a few up and set it to post once a day? That seems good.
Once I get through all of the existing cats I have, I think I’ll end up doing semi-regular updates on what happens between them every few moons! Doodle pages, profiles for new cats, etc.
My main is @fantasykiri5, and I mostly make hermitcraft/life series fanart there, so pretty different from anything that’s gonna be here.
I mentioned it in the sub header but the rough format I’m gonna use for this blog is very much inspired by @/warriorsproject and @/cryptidclaw! Go check them both out!
World setup under cut:
There are 5 clans;
Beetleclan,
Tulipclan,
Honeyclan,
Bayclan,
and Vixenclan.
1: The Mountains

3: The Farm
4: The Maple Hollow (Vixenclan Camp)
5: Tunderpath (mountain road. All other thinderpaths are very scarcely used, like the one up to the farm or to the dock. There not a large risk, but they’re also called thunderpaths by the cats.)
6: The Clearing (Tulipclan Camp)
7: The Small Valley (Honeyclan Camp)
8: Twoleg Place
9: The Lake (meeting place)
10: Southern Twoleg Bridge

the taste of butter ❤
Here's the opening reel:
It rains near-constantly. That's what does the crops in, Mom and Dad say. Well, Dad says it; Mom hugs baby Millie tighter while Millie coos and burbles. She's the one Winchester whose grumbling is leavened in her throat instead of leaden in her stomach. Adam and Jack talk in circular sentences, maple spinners spinning around each other and never touching the ground, twin-language. Sam scrapes the side of his thumb with his other thumbnail, his pointed face elfin and thoughtful.
I apologize to anybody who knows the fate of the baby in The VVitch. I have not changed that, so ... you know what's coming 😣
#asktransaction#i considered deanna for this#since that's the anya taylor-joy character#but i kept it as dean#and made it even more incesty somehow lol

Mildred Goldstraw
Parent's Story: Rumpelstiltskin
Powerful Qualities: Confident, patient, courageous
Roommate: Maple Spinner
Secret Heart’s Desire: Like any princess out there, I want to find my One True Love.
My “Magic” Touch: I can turn straw into gold with my magic spinning wheel, though I hate sitting there and doing nothing but spinning all day.
Storybook Romance Status: I haven't met my One True Love yet, but Daring Charming is very handsome isn’t he?
“Oh Curses!” Moment: Whenever I see a spinning wheel, I just have to sit and spin. My friends literally have to pull me away whenever it happens.
Favorite Subject: Damsel-in-Distressing Class. I know I’m the heroine of my story and I’m in no real danger, but it doesn’t hurt to know what I should do if I fall into any potential danger you know? And what I should do when a handsome stranger saves me.
Least Favorite Subject: Gymnastics. What princess likes to sweat?
Best Friends Forever After: Alanna Dale, Maple Spinner, and Yeh Jia Li.

Properties for Rent
The Checklist: Everything you need to find that Ideal Property to Rent

The Checklist: Everything you need to find that Ideal Property to Rent
“Properties for rent”, typed in the Google search bar. After the loading spinner came to a halt, there it all was, pages and pages of properties for rent all with those convincingly catchy captions inviting the home hunters to click and visit. Everyone – from newlywed couples to four-person families and even individuals, transitioning and moving from one country to another, with their own preferences, struggle to find the place to put down their welcome mat and call home.
Properties for rent, where do I even start?
First things first – what kind of property to rent? Houses may give options for greater living spaces, both indoor and outdoor; a yard or a private parking space. It’ll allow for more freedom with no shared walls or common spaces, but all the maintenance will be on your hands. Conversely, townhouses may mean hearing the neighbor’s late night karaoke but are typically cheaper, with its efficient vertical model, offering multiple floors.
The Perfect Match for Singles?
The most bachelorette or bachelor-friendly property for rent in the list, putting up a fight for its existence – condos – offer minimal maintenance, extra security, and communal places. Typically in high-rises, the views may dampen the usually smaller living space condominiums offer. If you’ve got dreams to chase, maybe moving to the “City that Never Sleeps” or somewhere new in the next five years, however, properties for rent offering more flexibility in moving is the way to go. At the end of the day, the choice will solely depend on which chapter of life you’re currently living in – with kids? Chasing dreams in a foreign city? Riding solo? There’s a fit for every fancy.
Zooming into the Properties for Rent; does it have what it takes?
Come to the technicalities – prefers to customize the space in maybe bright yellows or more mellow tones of furnishings? Unfurnished rental properties it is. Coming empty handed? Opt for furnished rentals. Bringing them sleepy kittens or cheery retrievers with you? Pet-friendly properties for rent are ideal to share the home with them. The job setup: either building a career for a while or a half-year contractual project, are also matters to be considered in choosing between short-term and long-term rentals. Checking off these details may already feel like a chore, but the real question remains: who will make the search a tad more seamless? The right property rental company—the perfect partner in helping you find that ideal home to rent.
You don’t have to go through it alone.
Hence, last on the list: with all the fuss in finding a property, it’s comforting to find a company which will take you from property showings until contract signing and even with you during the move-in, a company offering a range of properties for rent—from houses and townhouses to condos and apartments—all over Vancouver and its surrounding areas: Fraser Valley, Pitt Meadows, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Richmond, Coquitlam, West Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Port Moody, Surrey, Squamish, and Kelowna. Even more, the property management company that keeps everything in check, ensuring that the property is well-maintained all throughout. All these services in one with Orca Realty. With the team of experienced property service agents introducing the place, to the licensed property managers getting you through the rigorous processes and getting you settled, your ideal living experience is guaranteed. Wherever you are in life, the right home is out there, and the right company will make sure you find it.

Sept 17 - Made a (small) vat of homemade tomato sauce to use up more of the tomatoes my brother grew this year. Once again pureed the non-plum ones and just cut up the plum tomatoes. And once again it was just enough sauce to have some with pasta for dinner and freeze two small tubs of it for future meals, so we're now up to 4 tubs in the freezer, yay.
Also went down to the pharmacy to pick up my various prescriptions and a glucometer so I can have some clue of what my actual blood sugar levels are (a year and a quarter after first being put on Metformin for type II diabetes). One of the women there sat me down and taught me how to use it, which turned out to be a minor comedy of not being able to get a sufficient blood droplet and then, once we DID, the meter decided to have an error rather than a reading, argh. We eventually did get a correct reading and ouch. I have cheated too much on carbs and sugars the last few days (curse the treats my brother picked up the last time he did groceries... I am weak to maple leaf cookies).
I ended up only having a small serving of pasta for supper because yeah, don't want to make that any worse.
Sept 18 - Part of day spent on glucometer related stuff, such as registering it online and getting its related app (bleah) and pairing it with my phone. Excitement. Blood sugar still on the high side but not as bad as yesterday.
Also spent a bunch of time winding the remaining balls of that blue cotton yarn that arrived on Sunday, as I'm close to finishing the first of them and decided I'd rather wind the remaining five skeins (which are rather loose and floppy) into proper cakes before using them. Did the first of them with the skein just loose on my desk and... yeah, not a great idea. Once it got down close to the core it went from "very loose ball" to "horrific tangle" very, very quickly. I ended up spending what was probably most of an hour working out knots to be able to salvage as much of the yarn as I could (and have put the knotted remainder aside in case I end up needing to pick that apart for a final bit of yarn when the sweater is close to done). After that I grabbed my yarn spinner and threaded each ball onto it before winding them, and that kept all but one ball untangled until fully wound. The one exception was only minorly tangled and easy to sort out. So I'm now doubly happy about having bought the spinner. Good purchase, past self! Very useful!
Supper was a meatloaf made of mixed ground beef and pork, with green peas, and boiled potatoes tossed with butter, seasoned salt, and smoked paprika.

Summer Saturdays Vol. 8

EATING
Obsessed with Oikos’ Maple Syrup flavoured Greek yogurt. And these open-faced heirloom tomato sandwiches (below).

Above Photo: Toasted sourdough rubbed with garlic, then mayo, cheddar cheese, sliced heirloom tomatoes, sea salt & basil vinaigrette if you’re feeling fancy
DRINKING
Loved this Honey Soda I got from a farmer’s market.
COOKING
Tomato and fennel pizza with store bought dough (and added sausage) actually turned out pretty good. (And yes this sounds condescending, but you only think you don’t like fennel.)

BAKING
I used this great espresso cream cheese frosting with this vanilla cake recipe and it wasn’t spectacular, so that was depressing.
CRAVING
This bruised tomato and bread soup and only some of these insane CNE foods.
LISTENING
It happened. I downloaded a bird-identifier app. And you know what? I’m happier.
WATCHING
Detroit Rock City really holds up, still a great movie.
WEARING
The Urban Outfitters nail polish Cherry Iceeee (they have it in store at Square One in Mississauga) and tons of After Bite.
EXPERIENCING
All the public pools within a 10km radius.
LOVING
The Queue app to organize all the movies I want to see. There’s a spinner tool that makes it somehow more fun to decide, too? A smarter person might not admit that.
SHOPPING
The wild sales at The Bay right now (the customer service is atrocious since it’s a ghost town - but the deals, my god the deals).
GRIEVING
The end of the second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. SUCH A FUN SHOW.
