Beyond Next Gen is an 18+ next gen server that primarily focuses on DC and Marvel comics with a few expectations. This is a revamping of an old server, so the bones of this bad boy are old and it is still able to access disboard. (lol)

We are 18+ for older people who like creating next gens or like writing their favorite characters as parents, but don't want to handle the hassle of interacting with real minors.

We are also a literate yet casual server. Yes, we do require a lengthy form to fill out for ocs and an audition process for canons, but we require absolutely no activity checks!! Life is tough and this is an indulgent getaway. We allow 8 ocs and 5 canons!

This server's tone will hopefully remain lighthearted and goofy with occasional angst here and there. (Please do not come in here mad because we won't allow you to write an edgy transphobic n1zi. This setting is closer to lego batman, than it is to a black label.)

“Please stay hydrated, take your med, and relax you two.” Niko asked to her dad for the nth time. She gives him his water bottle.

Eddie let out a sigh. “Niko. We’ll be fine, just heads for school. I don’t wants you to be late.” Eddie reassured his daughter, understanding why she chose to come with him, instead of going to school earlier. Venom grabs the water bottle from Niko’s grasp.

“Thanks kid.” Venom replied, giving Niko a wide smile. Niko responded back with another smile. They turned around to heads for the building. Niko watch Eddie entering inside the building with the staff members to the warp pad to their final destination, Phoenix Academy before the students get here.

Niko then walks away from the building, planning to leave the Phoenix Academy grounds. Not before she visiting the memorial. She see the statues of the students in the attack, the explosion months ago. Some of whose hadn’t start their hero career yet. Some of whose were her classmates. Niko wonders if they ever knew her. White carnations and white daisies around the statues perform their own little funeral rite, a small dance.

“How can I remember them like those flowers?” Niko wondered. They wouldn’t remember her. She didn’t make a good big impression, or any impression at all! She wasn’t that great of a person. As Niko looks at statues and the engraved memorial, she heard a voice.

“Hey Niko!”

Niko turns to see the two girls coming. The first girl with vibrant blue iris dress in an juminocore and kidcore attire, is the daughter of Turnbull Tech CEO, Ariel Turnbull. The second girl, a Pokémon fan girl with a feline-like faced symbiote sprouting out of her body, is the daughter of two of the Web-Warriors, Ruby Parker-Thompson and her symbiote, Devastation. From their bracelet on their wrist, they are both students of Phoenix Academy and Niko’s friends.

Niko smiles at the two. “Hey you two.”

The three friends chatted up: Niko explaining to them about her school and about the hair highlights for her indigo colored hair, after getting her hair trimmed. Ariel & Ruby talked about the classes they did yesterday and upcoming classes. Ruby’s mismatched blue and green eyes glanced at the car pulling up to the school grounds. Ruby saw two people coming out of the car.

“Miles!” Ruby responded in a surprised and joy to see her eldest brother figure, friend, and her fathers’ team mate, Miles Morales and his daughter, Kailanni Morales Khan.

Kailanni waving at the Ariel and Niko, smiling brightly. “Niko! Ariel!” Kailanni called out their name.

“Hey Kailanni!” Ariel responded back in a loud voice.

“Hi,” Niko says softly.

Kailanni, then see Ruby and Devastation. “Oh hello there,”

She looks at Ruby. The two stares at each others. Ruby looks at Kailanni nervously. Kailanni analyzing Ruby and Devastation up and down.

“Are you Ruby?” Kailanni asked.

Ruby nod shyly. Kailanni’s eyes lit up. “I’m so finally glad that I’m able to meets you. My dad told me all about you. I cannot believe we’re going to be in the same school together. I cannot wait to introduce you to my friends!”

Ruby then pauses. “Does this means I will have more proper friends besides Niko?” Ruby thought. and looks at Miles. He smiles, giving her a nod, reassuring her.

Kailanni start gushing at Devastation’s cute appearance. “Awww you are so adorable.”

Devastation blep. Kailanni chuckles and start scratching Devastation’s chin.

Niko and Ariel watches as Ruby, Devastation, and Kailanni interacting with a smile on their face. The city of Townsville is definitely the right place for Ruby.
