Thoughts
When we consider our thoughts as the “self”, we will be entangled by them, making them the masters of life, just like rolling dark clouds that cover the whole sky. But we should know that thoughts are illusory and rootless after all. If we take care of our thoughts and keep a distance from them, they can’t affect us.

While we cannot remove all external sources of frustration, we can calm the anger within and let go of the mindset that creates opposition. In reality, all forms of opposition and enemies stem from anger. Therefore, our greatest adversary is the anger within us. Once we learn to calm this anger, it means all enemies are eliminated.

In the minds of most people, anything that opposes them or anything they don't want to accept should disappear as quickly as possible. But is that really possible? Even if you manage to eliminate something unsatisfactory today and temporarily feel content with your surroundings, once your mindset shifts, satisfaction will turn into dissatisfaction. In reality, whether someone is an enemy or whether we can find contentment depends on our own minds. If there is still opposition or affliction within us, we will continue to create enemies and situations that fuel our dissatisfaction.

Many people feel insecure and believe that accumulating wealth is the key to feeling secure. However, once they have more money, they often find themselves worrying about their safety, fearing that others might covet or even try to take what they have. This creates a cycle of insecurity, raising an important question: why does this happen? The answer lies in the fact that their sense of security was never truly there in the first place.

Virya is similar to the worldly concept of diligence, but it specifically refers to the courageous effort in overcoming hesitation while pursuing the path of goodness and enlightenment. Only when one's efforts are rooted in this pursuit, characterized by bravery and determination, can they be called Virya. Otherwise, no matter how desperately one strives in worldly pursuits, such as earning money or other goals, it cannot be considered Virya.

The difference between Bodhicitta (the aspiration for enlightenment) and the practice of Bodhicitta can be understood like this: it's like when we want to do something or go somewhere—saying "I want to do it" and "I am doing it" are not the same, and "I want to go" and "I am on my way" are also different.

What is Zen?
Zen is the great wisdom of life. Zen takes us back to the original simplicity and purity, to be carefree and content; it takes us to go beyond all material desires, to sit and watch the clouds rise; it enables attainment of a peaceful mind and the ability for concentration; it facilitates a free life, and furthermore, guides us toward the purpose of life, so that we can live a meaningful one.

Hypnosis
If you do not live with a clear mind, you will be hypnotized by different people and occurrences every day. You will accept some notions and deal with some matters unconsciously.
