I've just realized, Matt Smith is the only new-who doctor to just be a complete unknown who nailed the audition.

Eccleston and Tenant have worked before with RTD which is why he offered them the role. Capaldi was Moffat's first choice for 12 and the only one to audition at the time. Jodie worked with Chibnall on broadchurch, which is why she was offered role. And Gatwa was already a big name with his role on sex education.

🥇 of all of them, i definitely think Aegon (show) is the most likely. he's the kind of guy who drinks and anyone seems interesting to him. he definitely flirts easily with his nieces or nephews, his cousins...

he's probably be very direct, making it very obvious that he wants to fuck them. i can imagine him flirting with his siblings too, but more subtly to avoid being ratted out to his mother.

but if we're talking about an established relationship (and secret, ofc), i think Aegon probably doesn't go that far often. not because he finds it disgusting, but maybe because he doesn't wanna truly join into a serious relationship.

and about the types of relatives Aegon is interested in most of the times, they can be rebellious/popular relatives just like himself, or more innocent and introvert relatives. like... he loves corrupting a younger niece, although he hopes she doesn't tell her mother if something goes wrong...

🥈 for the second place, i definitely think about Daemon (both book and show). to be honest i considered putting him in the first place, but then i realized that Aegon would be in the top 1 because he doesn't have many standards for partners in general (in my opinion).

i imagine Daemon has a thing for very young girls or even underage girls. he really enjoys that power dynamic, so i think a niece younger than him is the main type of relative he would start an incestuous relationship with. maybe a very young cousin if he doesn't have a niece, but she needs to be inexperienced and curious, even if they're no longer virgins.

i think he's the most likely character in all of HOTD to have a long-term incestuous relationship in the modern world, if we're considering his canon personality. he doesn't mind hiding it for as long as necessary.

🏅 again, i was feeling undecided between put Aemond (show) or Rhaenyra (show), but then i realized young!Rhaenyra (show) is more into incest than adult!Rhaenyra hahah. her modern version definitely like older men, especially uncles who are quite sexually experienced.

unlike Aegon, i don't think she likes just fucking rather than being in a serious relationship, but at the same time i don't think she would like to be in a relationship like this for so long when she grows up, both because wouldn't like to be a secret for so many years and also because she wouldn't be young anymore, maybe she would find out that dating a random person is easier than date a relative.

there's such a massive history with doctor who and it hit me lately that the sensation of seeing that the companions and doctors you watched in real-time have become the past is a sensation every fan has felt for 60 years. at some point people missed jon pertwee and could remember watching him recently, even though tom baker was on tv as the doctor now and they liked him too. and nowadays we miss rose tyler and martha jones and amy pond and clara oswald and donna noble and tennant and smith and capaldi like those people missed baker when davison took the stage. like people missed ace and wondered if the show would ever come back, and then got excited and still felt it wasn't quite the same when eccleston was announced. like. it feels so recent, like just yesterday rose saw the tardis for the first time, but that was twenty years ago. feels like the doctor just made the speech in 'the rings of akhaten' and that was a decade ago. clara is gone, amy is gone. peter capaldi went from gray to white. and the show is going on and children will think of ncuti gatwa and millie gibson and huge white tardis corridors when they think of doctor who in the future. to them, david tennant is already what tom baker is to us. this story has a huge legacy. when you're watching doctor who, it ironically begins to feel like you're making history just by watching it.
