Does Doc's assistant guy from your video have a name/moniker or any relevant lore? (I know who he and Doc's designs are based on and it pleases me immensely heheh, I just figure going off your established lore that these characters are meant to be their own entities beyond their sources of inspiration)

That's correct, while the characters are based on real people, they should be seen more as roles they've been sort of cast as, as opposed to accurate representations of the real them!

In the assistant's case, his name is Ernest and he's way out of his depth here. Doc dedicated years of their life to studying the occult, and Ernest did not. He kind of doesn't even assume that this reanimation stuff will work at all, he'll believe it when he sees it. Plus, Doc is being all mad-scientist like about it and that doesn't make him feel any better about the whole ordeal.

HOWEVER he is one of two people Doc has ever made a connection with (the other being Laa) and is determined to stick around to help them (and to help Laa?). I assume they were like, college roommates and they just thought of him and called him back after a few years of silence to help sjnsjsjs. He was probably having a normal career in film school before this event and will try to get back to it afterwards. Unless you believe the rumors of him having training as a combat exorcist from an internship at the Vatican, and if that were the case, he probably cleaned up after some of Doc's occult ritual malpractice. But, these are simply rumors and we just can't say.

His way of getting into the cemetery undisturbed was by bribing the night keeper with shady record label money.

Ok but this also reminded me of Max-Ernest from the Secret Series and how he got his name, so I had to go with the third option!

There was a time where characters were Celebs in the 70's and 80's

Its crazy to mink there were certain characters who were huge they were celebs in their own right,where theryd appear in interviews ,veriety shows,talk shows ,events and award shows in character

The Muppets I feel started this

Now this mostly applys to TV characters,though to a lesser extent Id lump say there are some movie characters like C3PO and R2D2

I love books that are written from the 2nd person where the author just pauses the story to trauma dump on the reader

I write a substantial amount of my scripts in a filthy cash-only dive bar for third-shift dock workers. It opens at 6 AM and rest assured these grizzled fucks who get off their jobs at 5 AM are there getting hammered. Why do I write there?

Coffee is cheaper there than at actual cafes.

They do not give a shit if I bring my laptop in.

Back "patio" (actually it's a canopy in an alleyway) where I can go hang out if I want fresh air.

Constant noise and ever-present threat of violence for a stimulating environment.

Option to get ruinously drunk dirt cheap if coffee is simply not enough.

For $0.99 I can make the karaoke machine play the soundtrack to the audio I'm currently writing, huge morale boost.

The scraggy middle aged bartender who asks me about my stories before she asks if I want a coffee or another one of my fruity bitch drinks (I love her).

The random encounters. I love telling drunk old men about my audios, they are great listeners and surprisingly receptive.

It's open just as early as cafes but closes later. I can write there until 2 AM and walk home if I want.

I don't have a tenth reason I just think it's a nice even number.

i found this book god knows how many years ago.

well my mom found it. she bought it at a thrift store and gave it to my sister- which i stole from her, as one does.

now i own two copies of each book AND i own the bad series (haven’t read yet)

i’m starting to reread the series now, this series honestly means a lot to me and i think about it constantly!! and i hope i’m not the only one!!
