"max is a great driver" and "red bull, ferrari and merc are 2nd fastest cars on any given weekend" can coexist. All the team principles have said that the margins aren't as big as 2023 but I guess people just can't read.

Did It 4 You
Tumblr media
Max Verstappen x Reader
Summary: He won his 4th title. You cannot be more proud.
Tumblr media
As the champagne flowed and cheers filled the air, you found yourself standing by Max's side, taking in his remarkable achievement - winning his fourth World Champion title as a Formula 1 driver.
Surrounded by the triumphant atmosphere of his team, you couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride and admiration for the man who had conquered the racing world and your heart.
You leaned in and showered Max with kisses.
Showing him your joy and love in the most affectionate way possible.
You whispered words of praise and adoration, acknowledging his unwavering determination and exceptional talent.
"I love you so much, Max."
"I love you too."
In that instant, amidst the celebration and the roar of the crowd, time seemed to stand still.
It was as if the world had faded away, leaving only the two of you.
As you looked into his eyes, you saw a reflection of your own passion and dedication, mirrored in his unwavering gaze.
At that moment, the love between you and Max Verstappen seemed unstoppable.
Each day, you stood by Max's side, offering  support and celebrating his victories as if they were your own.
Max, with his captivating charm and magnetic personality, continued to light up your world, reminding you of the thrill and excitement that first lured you to him.
And as you witnessed him dominating new peaks and pushing the boundaries of what seemed possible, you felt like your heart stopped beating.
You couldn't believe that you had him as your partner. Such a loving and caring man but also a beast behind the wheel of his RedBull.
You felt so lucky.
Much like him.
You were there through thin and thick.
You were there for all of his wins. You were there through all the hardships.
He loved you so much.
"I told you I would dedicate my win to you, Y/N." your eyes widened as he knelt down on one knee and opened a box which held the most beautiful ring you have ever seen. "Will you marry me?" he asked and your reply was immediate.
"Yes! Of course!"
And so, that night you not only celebrated his win but also your engagement.

Preschool Graduation┃MV1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a beautiful morning and Max was dressed in an elegant tailored suit. He stood proudly next to his wife Y/N as they attended their little daughter Olivia's preschool graduation. The air was filled with excitement as families gathered in the hall, adorned with beautiful decorations and colorful balloons emblazoned with the phrase ''Class of 2023.''
Max's heart swelled with pride as Olivia, in her tiny cap and gown, joined her classmates on stage. The little graduates were beaming with joy, and Max couldn't help but feel nostalgic about how quickly time had passed since Olivia's first day at preschool. He still remembered when he had cried that morning with his daughter in arms trying to convince his wife to stay home that morning and not send her to school because he still couldn't believe that the day had arrived.
Y/N, with a proud smile, squeezed Max's hand as they took their seats. Both families, the Verstappens and the Y/L/N, were there to celebrate this special moment. Max's parents were sitting nearby and exchanging proud glances with Y/N's parents.
The ceremony began with the children entering, holding hands and laughing. Max tried to maintain his composure, but every time he caught a glimpse of Olivia's radiant smile, his eyes filled with tears. He dried them discreetly, hoping his wife wouldn't notice.
When Olivia's name was called, Max couldn't contain his emotions. He let out a proud cheer that echoed throughout the room. He jumped to his feet, camera in hand, and started taking pictures madly. "That's my daughter!" he yelled, not caring that it elicited some amused looks from the other parents. Although his wife was not far behind, she also stopped to record from the moment her little girl got up from her seat until she turned to see her parents and waved with a huge smile full of joy from stage. Both families burst into applause and shouts when the little girl received her diploma. And to Olivia's surprise, all of her uncles were there too. Charles, Carlos, Lando, Daniel, George, Alex and even Checo with his family were there, all applauding excitedly and some crying.
Max's eyes shone with tears of joy and he wiped them away with the back of his hand, laughing at his lack of self-control, but he didn't care in the least.
To the amusement of the other parents, he snorted and pulled a handkerchief from his suit pocket, declaring, "It's very emotional, okey?"
When the ceremony concluded, Max took Olivia in his arms and spun her around as she laughed with joy. Both met with the whole family along with the other drivers.
"Congratulations, my little champion!" Max exclaimed, his eyes shining with pride. Olivia smiled at her father, a miniature version of Max's infectious smile on her face.
The day continued with a celebration at Verstappen's house. Max and Y/N had organized a small gathering with family and close friends to honor Olivia's achievement. The backyard was adorned with decorations and a special cake.
While guests enjoyed the festivities, Max found himself reflecting on his journey into fatherhood. He had always been passionate about racing, but watching Olivia grow up gave him a different kind of satisfaction.
During the celebration, Max and his wife took a moment to share a few words for her little girl, expressing admiration for her determination and enthusiasm for her life. They talked about the joy she brought to their world and how her accomplishments, no matter how small, filled them with an immense sense of pride.
Many might know Max as the beast he was when he got into his F1 car and raced on the circuits, or others as the triple champion, but despite that, he was the best father to a beautiful little recent graduate named Olivia and he best husband for his beloved.

Part Two: All that is left is ashes
Eddie Munson x Reader Series Masterlist 1375 Words
If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever.

Early Evening, October 29, 1995
Four men barrelled out of Arcade Games and into a Camero. They chanted, “Fire! It! Up!” in unison.
Neil ‘T-Bird’ Hargrove got behind the wheel of the car, pulled out onto the road, cutting off a cab and barely avoiding a collision.
“You tryna kill us, T-Bird?!” Andy screamed from the back. Andy’s street name was Tin Tin because Neil said he had a head shaped like a tin of beans, and about the smarts of one too. He sat behind the driver’s seat, next to Chance. Nobody knew why Chance’s street name was Skank. Not even Chance.
Riding shotgun was Neil’s son Billy. Billy went by Funboy. People avoided asking why because anything deemed fun by Billy Hargrove was not something they wanted to know about.
There was a moment of silence before all four men in the car laughed manically, returning to their chant. Neil slammed down on the accelerator.
A couple streets away, Steve Harrington had just finished voicing one of his great ideas. He stood in his hotdog stand uniform, nodding to himself. “You know, what this place needs is a good, natural catastrophe… Earthquake,”
“Tornado,” Robin Buckley suggested. She looked marginally less ridiculous in the uniform.
Hopper was watching her make his hotdog. She was, in his opinion, doing it wrong. “No, No. Buckley, come on. You got to put the mustard underneath first!”
“Maybe a flood? Like in the Bible?” Steve thought.
“Hey, hey. Lemme do it.” Hopper pulled the dog from her hands, taking over the allocation of mustard. “How ‘bout some onions?” Steve sprinkled some over it. Hopper looked at him. “What are you- Don’t cheap out on me.”
Neither Steve nor Robin had much passion for hotdog making. Hopper demanding to make his own was fine by them. Less work.
They all heard Max’s skateboard before they saw her emerge from the darkness.
“Hey, it’s Mad Max,” Steve greeted her affectionately.
Max took her usual place next to Hopper.
“How d’ya steer that thing on a wet street?” Hopper asked.
“Pure talent,” she replied sarcastically. “Hey,”
“Hey, kid,” Robin replied, getting a bun from the warmer.
“See, Max here is a genuine hotdogger… You hungry?”
“You buying?”
“I’m buying.”
The four of them were familiar, this scene having repeated over and over. Hargrove’s Camero speeding past them was familiar too, but far less comforting. They watched it screech around a corner.
“Bad people out on the street tonight,” Hopper said, not taking the bait. There was little that would compel him to chase after Hargrove and his gang, for countless reasons, but least of all the fact that they were Brenner’s soldiers.
The men had not been satisfied with smashing their way through Arcade Games, pinball machines, air hockey tables, and Pac-Man becoming nothing more than mechanical chaos. A timer counted down to the final second, then BOOM.
The explosion was loud, the soundwaves shaking the hotdog stand.
“Dammit!” Hopper growled.
“What was that?!” Max stood.
“You stay here. Steve, call it in for me!” and he was off running.
Eddie arrived home. The rain poured down as he looked up at the abandoned building. The crow told him yes, but it felt wrong. Something was wrong. Each rung of the fire escape ladder Eddie climbed hurt; each painstaking step up made him weaker.
It felt like hours, but within the minute Eddie was on top of the building. Trash was piled up everywhere. Sheets of plastic did little to protect whatever was being stored there. Eddie took no notice, just blindly followed the crow through an open door and into the belly of the beast.
There was more trash inside. And nobody home. All the apartments were empty. Each door looked the same, until he reached one marked with garish yellow crime scene tape. Eddie tore it down and walked inside.
There was barely enough light to see by, but Gabriel’s pure white coat shone. The cat meowed, immediately jumping from his hiding place and rubbing himself against Eddie’s legs. “Gabriel,” Eddie managed to croak out. He bent to pick up the cat. Gabriel panicked, forgetting what it felt like to be held. It had been a year and he’d never warmed to Max, though she tried. Eddie dropped the cat when it cried out, the sound reverberating through his skull.
Hiss.
Gabriel’s hiss. Someone had tried to pick him up. The cat hissed, scratched at the man. Dropped. Skittered away.
A smash.
Your jack-o-lantern beneath the huge window, smashed.
It wasn’t Eddie’s memory. He wasn’t there for that.
Still, he saw your face turn to a knock at the door.
You said Eddie’s name, confused why he’d not use his key. Maybe he’d forgotten it. He was forgetful like that. Suddenly, the men were everywhere. There were only four of them, but it felt like they were everywhere.
“Department of housing,” Neil Hargrove announced, holding up one of your petitions. “We’re looking to buy!”
“No code violations! No safety hazards?! Place looks great to me,” Billy announced, a mean grin on his face. “But… Let’s redecorate!”
Photo frames were broken. Sheets of music and poetry ripped. Records thrown against the wall.
The crow watched Eddie fall to his knees, gripping his head like if he held it tight enough, he might squeeze all the bad memories out of it. Because now it was memory; it was what Eddie remembered.
He walked through the open door, calling your name. Then he heard you screaming, struggling. The men all leered over you, tearing your clothes from your body.
They noticed him and quickly, before Eddie knew what was happening, Andy’s knife was thrown through the room and stabbed through his body. It made him entirely fucking useless. He couldn’t move to you. Couldn’t stop them taking turns.
You begged. You repeated Eddie's name so mournfully it sounded like a curse.
Eddie tried to get up, but the men descended. They held him up like Christ on the cross. The bullets didn’t hurt. He couldn’t feel his body. But he was awake. Eddie watched the men in the window as he was pushed backward through it, falling to his death.
Andy. Chance. Billy. Neil. Or, Tin Tin. Skank. Funboy. T-Bird.
Eddie sobbed and with every intention of using that window as a portal to death again, he stood and ran at it.
The crow cawed a command to stop.
Eddie couldn’t halt his forward momentum, but he could grab at the wooden muntin of the window. He swung like a child on the monkey bars, landing back into the apartment with a thud. Eddie’s eyes tracked the movement of the crow. “What do you want from me?”
The crow made a sad sound, and Eddie looked down at his hands. They were slashed open by the broken shards of glass embedded in the muntin. He watched as the wounds moved. For a horrifying moment, Eddie thought something had wormed its way into the cuts, but quicker than he could think that, there were no cuts at all.
Eddie let out a terrified laugh, then stood quickly, dizzy with the insanity of it all.
As Eddie moved to the threshold of the bedroom door, the voice was back inside his skull. You don’t have to do this. Eddie did it anyway. He went into the bedroom and looked around. This place hurts worst of all, doesn’t it? You were closest here.
“She’s not here…” He felt betrayed. The crow was meant to bring him to you, but you weren’t here. You weren’t anyway.
Like sobering up from a night out, Eddie felt woozy and overcome with a sick feeling. It wasn’t stale beer and hotdog in his stomach. It was guilt, distilled and top shelf.
“I should have… Should’ve been able to…”
When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions.
Eddie went back out to the bird. It was perched by the window, eerie and omniscient. They regarded each other, a soul shared.
“This machine…” Eddie said slowly, looking down at his new scars, at his reformed body. Slays dragons, he finished in his head.
The crow swooped to land on his shoulder, realisation dawning and a plan already forming.

I saw a couple of your responses and totally agree with them! I never interact on Tumblr, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents.
It is disgusting that some fans have been incredibly invasive in the lives of the Drivers. Should they be praised for their driving prowess? Yes! Should every minuscule detail of their lives be dug up and analysed and tracked to the nth degree? No.
The Drivers drive fast cars for a living. I want to watch fast cars being driven. I don't need to know what they do outside of media circus that is F1. I am an older fan well into her 30s and honestly couldn't tell you their wives and girlfriends names except if I came across it randomly, like the name of Charles Leclercs cute little daschund, Leo!
I understand the need, I guess, for younger fans to want to know these details (for whatever reason), especially now Max is having his first child. But tracking the plane? That's a little...unhinged? Look, he's a fantastic driver, and I do not like Kelly Piquet (for many many...ok SO may reasons and her family), but there's no need to blast them on Twitter (i will never call it X, Elon) about how much you hate her or how much you hate him, or both! Or, which other driver has your ire this week. There's no need for it- just keep the opinions to yourself even if they are valid criticisms. Social Media has unfortunately created a parasocial beast that can not be controlled. I took one look at Twitter a decade ago and backed out instantly, never gone on it since.
I think I made my point without rambling too much and not taking up much of your time! I just couldn't go past without commenting, I guess. The Drivers deserve their privacy as much as the next person, doesn't matter if they are 'famous'. However, if they do or say something in public that is problematic, then yes, hold them accountable within reason (and sanity) not go on a stalking spree and look like a complete lunatic.
Rant complete :)
Ahhh that's so kind! Bare with me and I'll respond to this in sections, as there's a lot to cover (I've also accidentally posted this before I was done so now I'm editing it lol)
Should they be praised for their driving prowess? Yes! Should every minuscule detail of their lives be dug up and analysed and tracked to the nth degree? No.
This is exactly the point! As prominent sporting figures, fame and all the other bits that come along with it are expected, but is anyone ever really prepared to have their life followed so much that you can't even leave the country without your plane info being displayed all over the internet?
The Drivers drive fast cars for a living. I want to watch fast cars being driven. I don't need to know what they do outside of media circus that is F1.
Honestly, yeah. Sometimes, online, it seems like people prioritise their private/dating lives over the reason why we know who these people are in the first place. I think some people just need to realise that these men are just that: MEN. People who lead their own lives outside of their profession, just like me and you. There's an awful lot of glorification around the Drivers when really, they're just normal people with an insane amount of talent. (And a lot of money lol)
Ahhh the thing about Leo is so real! Petition to make him the mascot of F1 :') I never scroll past Leo Leclerc content
I understand the need, I guess, for younger fans to want to know these details (for whatever reason), especially now Max is having his first child. But tracking the plane? That's a little... unhinged?
For like-minded people like us, yeah! It's just a massive invasion of privacy, in my opinion. However, I think things like that have become so normalised in this day and age that the people who are engaging in it don't even realise how morally wrong it is. You can't stop it, but I definitely will never be encouraging it - it's just weird!
Look, he's a fantastic driver, and I do not like Kelly Piquet (for many many...ok so may reasons and her family), but there's no need to blast them on Twitter (i will never call it X, Elon) about how much you hate her or how much you hate him, or both!
100% agree. I'm also not the biggest fan of Kelly (a very controversial lady) but I wouldn't go out of my way to hate on her 😂
Hold the girl accountable if needs be, but she's literally just birthing her child (has given birth?) right now. Let a girl breathe
(It's official, the baby is here! Congrats to Max & Kelly)
On the other hand, I'm also a massive Max fan - that doesn't make me want to obsessively check flight radar or demand updates from him/his team. Again, I think it's become so normalised that people don't even realise that what they're doing is such a big invasion of privacy. A parasocial beast indeed, anon.
I think I made my point without rambling too much and not taking up much of your time! I just couldn't go past without commenting, I guess.
Don't even worry, the more ramble the better! This is exactly what I wanted when I started answering people's hot takes, it's fun to spark up conversation online!

Omg this verstappie rewatch is literally gonna be the whole season lmao
Tumblr media
Part 1 2016-2018 > Part 2 2019-2022
In 2013, after becoming the World and European KZ class Champion, European OF class Champion, Continental KF class champion, and 3rd place laureate in the World KF class, 15 year old Max Verstappen had turned that years karting scene into a 'one man show' according to Vroomkart International. The title of the piece wasted no time posing what was, admittedly, a very bold question:
Tumblr media
Gentlemen, a short view into the 2023 season
Baku, 2023. Ik what ur thinking. 19 wins and ur gonna start wid fucking Baku? And yes 🙂I will, and so shud u 🫵🏽Max lost Baku. The pole, the sprint and the race. Lingered about 3 secs behind checo after the SC, never closed the gap. And guess what, Baku was actually one of the most important races of this season, Maxs own words. Because that inconsistent pace? Those choppy lap times, killing his tires? Max was learning how to setup his car. Rb19 was clearly rb18s big brother, a real sunday beast, faster, more reliable, but a lil sensitive, demanded some hands on attention from his boy. So Max turned Baku into their fp4. U can c it on his onboard, hear him asking for different settings, toggling wid the balance. Those of us who know Max, we kinda suspected what he was up to. But it seemed others didnt. And whatvr max was about to do to these people in Miami bro, it wud be the type of reckoning u read about in the bible.
Miami, 2023. When max qualified p9 cheers echoed across both Americas. After the Baku loss, the slow start to the season, there was hope. Max Verstappen was about to lose the championship lead. People bought into the fairytale and they were loud about it too. They taunted him, booed him and his mechanics in parc ferme. And then Max was p2 by lap 15. Cut thru the field like butter and the whole stint he kept setting purples. Fastest lap after fastest lap. By lap 40 his hards were outpacing fresh mediums on a track u cud fry an egg on. Red bulls strategy for Max required the impossible and that's exactly what Max delivered. Before Miami, Checo was a title contender. After Miami, he was barely a competitor. Max took the 'tire whisperers' ambitions and grinded them into dust in 45 laps or less. It was the race that marked the beginning of the most dominant individual season in Formula 1 history but at its core, in classic Verstappen style, it was a lesson. A very simple one.
Tumblr media

Monaco, 2023
- Qualifying Yk who doesn’t give a FUCK about lessons tho, Monaco. Monaco wont be taught by no man. But it’s 2023. This classic immovable object about to meet the most unstoppable force in modern sport history. Max's very first pole in Monaco, and fittingly so, it came out of an all-timer session. One of those saturdays that make u understand why the tax dodging diva of f1 is going absolutely nowhere. Pole switched between Ocon, Yuki, Sharl and Alonso right up until Max did his thing. 2 mins to the checkered flag, it looked like Nando had it locked. 2 untouchable purples, textbook. It wud have been a beautiful moment, a deserved reward for an old dawg who’d kept at it and had a capable car again. Unfortunately for Nando, though, Sennas illegitimate child clocked in that Saturday. He had a bit of a history wid third sectors that once fucked him. But it's 2023, so this wud be the one that made him. Max put 3 tenths on Alonso's head in one of the shortest, most technical corners of the entire calendar. F1's 'sunday' driver by excellence, the one stop pacemaker, the metronome, the endurance machine, proved that he was all that and also, in fact, the type of elite qualifier who can write his signature on the walls of Monte Carlo.
- Race Monaco is all about Saturday obvi but imo this years race is also worth watching because its actually kind of a banger wid mixed conditions, insane strategies and because this is a verstappie rewatch, u get to c Max at his best: in a chaotic packed field under the rain.
Canada, 2023. Speaking of rain masters. Senna's legend has been clinging to Max from the very first time he traumatized wet cat Rosberg in Brazil in 2016 but it was this year, in Canada, wid Nando and Lewis by his side, the guys who were also there, who saw it happen too, that Max finally matched Senna's win tally. 41. It was a perfect weekend, a testament to the talent that allowed a 26 year old to overtake Ayrton Senna in the record book, and it began, as if in tribute, wid a soaking wet qualifying. Max's pole lap was one second faster than the rest of the grid. One full second. If ur a Nando or a Lewis fan, I wud definitely give it sunday a watch as well because old gays were definitely out there. Also we got this. What yall know about this .
Tumblr media
Shot from Nurphoto.
Lemme tell u something rn: Ur looking at 12 world championships, 189 wins, and a 14 year old gap from youngest to oldest. You're looking at statistically, the most successful driver of all time, the guy whose racecraft still seen by many as the finest this sport has ever seen, and a kid who's been sitting between them since he was 17 years old. The same kid who, a few racers later, broke records that existed long before the other two were even born. Yk, Lewis said it better than I ever cud, 'this is quite an iconic top 3'.
Austria, 2023. Why are u a Verstappen fan? U ever been asked that question. Ik i have. 😐 Lots of possible answers. To me Austria has all of them. In Canada, Checo barely made the finish line while Max pushed rbr to their 100th team victory and ((unofficially)) began his chase of the Vettel record. Mind u the mf wont admit that’s what he’s doing, but it is. Him, GP, the whole team. They want it. But we'll get to that. Max is a hunter, and his boy car is the best hound of his career so far. Together, they’d caught the scent. Races like Australia, Spain, Monaco, Canada, they showed it was possible. His management was getting Schumacher shouts, his qualifying was getting Senna's. Clarks proficiency. 2023 can be understood as the result of Max's life long pursuit of perfection, the crowning point of his hard work, the realization of all his potential, that prodigal nature that had been so obvious for so long, finally, entering its prime wid a car that can make history. And yet. AND YET. max has something that all those other legendary mfs lack. Something that is deeply, deeply Max’s. Free practice 1 in Austria and that talented, beautiful creature of God was ready to send it all to hell to make a POINT. Austria was a sprint this year, so already you've pissed him off. During fp1, Lewis impeded Max like once.
((And listen
Lewis saw that boy enter the paddock and immediately called security and along wid seb vettel and raikkonen launched a class action lawsuit against him on the grounds of a) fuck b) them kids. Then 6 years later Lewis and that now grown ass man spent a whole legendary season trying to kill each other. U c how this relationship may have some residue of . lets say. conflict.))
So Lewis impeded Max in fp1 and Max's raytheon hamilton-calibrated sensors activated and he did nothing less but the exact same thing in sprint qualifying. Blocked old mans flying lap. Lewis is limping thru this weekend, mind u, like it’s almost sad. It’s kinda elderly abuse. THEN, the actual sprint. Again, Austria is red bull's home turf. packed wid red bull fans. The car is a rocket, they're on a streak, lots of good photo ops for the team. It started raining. Even better. Lights out, and Checo took the lead first and in the process like . squeezed Max a lil bit. Pushed him on the grass. U can guess what happened next. 😐😐😐😐To answer that first question and to quote somebody who knows him, Max is Max. No matter where, how, against who. Wid a rocketship, wid a hole in his car, winning, losing, fighting for the lead against Lewis Hamilton, fighting for sixth against baby schumi, refusing to comply wid team orders against sainz, scolding danny ric about discipline, waiting 7 months to deliver his justice in brazil, calling russell a dickhead in Baku, whether in front of 300 000 haters in Silverstone of half a million fans in Spielberg, he'll do what he thinks is right. Thats the kind of mf that wins constructors all by himself. 575 points, on his own. Over 1000 laps lead. Max Verstappen has not succeeded in f1 despite his character, but because of it. Because when Checo squeezed him at the start of a stupid fucking sprint that wont make a dent in his records or his lead, Max collected his car and lunged thru the inside line like the title wud be decided in the next turn. He was willing to send himself, checo, and a goddamn haas to hell to remain at the front. And that’s why I'm a fan.
Zandvoort, 2023. 9 consecutive wins. A race that u feel in ur stomach because you know what it means. The sheer size of the accomplishment. That word ringing in everybodys ears since Miami. Inevitable. inevitable. Up until it happened, and then obvi Monza wid the perfect 10, nobody really wanted to believe it. seb's 9 was one of those things held sacred and hallowed by the sport. Like Schumachers points in a season, Ascaris win percentage, Clarks laps lead, and Hamiltons consecutive podiums. Sacred things. And in 2023, the nonbeliever broke them all. Grasped and squeezed wid his very cynical hands. They’re his now. No one else’s. What he did, no one else can do. Max is always outstanding in Zandvoort tbh, thats his track, his fans, his weather. But this years quali was particularly emblematic of the gap to the rest of the grid , and his teammate especially. 1.7s faster than checo. The race was just as impressive. Rain hit early on, complete chaos, and while everybody scrambled to choose the right tires, GP was in Max’s ear, calm as ever, 'it’s up to you'. It really was. It always was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zandvoort, 2023. > Monza, 2023.
Japan, 2023. Red Bulls factory crowning weekend. Coming out a disaster Singapore, yet another statement win. Singapore had showed what it took to slow down Verstappen in 2023: not just the wrong setup, but the wrong strategy too. As we'll c in Texas, like we've seen in 2016, 2019, 2020, a machine off the pace alone wont stop Max from winning races. In Suzuka, rocky was back into his operational window, and Max proved exactly who was it that singlehandedly delivered the constructors championship. One of those classic Max weekends. 20 drivers on track but 2 different leagues and he's on his own. Wid a 177 point lead over his teammate, yet another record broken, biggest point gap between 1st and 2nd. ((In the end, the margin was 290)). Max names Suzuka as his most satisfying pole lap of the season. Bro put half a second on the grid in one go.
COTA, 2023. just something in the Americas ((me)) that unlocks the extra prodigal gene in this mf. Talent of the century? Put his ass in North America we can stretch that shit to the millennium idc idc . Miami, Texas, Brazil, Mexico, and now Vegas, to me these are cornerstones of Verstappen excellence. Max holds the record for most wins in a single geographical location over one season. ((Of course he does)) 10 consecutive wins in NA, across state lines, country borders, wid different conditions, tracks, circuits, tires, formats, setups. This years’ Austin GAG? Apparently they didn’t set the tarmac right. track was a bumpy mess. Max struggled from the start wid braking issues and tire wear, but he kept his head cool because he knew he had the basics. There was once a time before the rb19 , when all he had was a cap and 1 year of open wheel experience, and his 18 year old self put on a clinic against a 30 year old world champion on how to defend on old faulty rubber. That’s exactly what Max did in Cota. Bro was able to make up for aerodynamic loss wid nothing but pedal and wheel work. Do not talk to him during braking. Do not fucking talk to him during braking. That’s all Max asked. 50th win. Offically 3rd OAT, behind Vettel, Hamilton and Schumacher. ((He’s now alone in 3rd OAT, wid 53 wins.)). He’s 26. After Merc and Ferrari were proclaimed ‘illegal’ what truly shocked me wasn’t that they tried to cheat, but that they wud try to pull that shit against this Verstappen, in this car, in 2023. They lowered their floors for smoother suspensions to fight Adrian Neweys Frankenstein monster but the real machine was sitting right behind the wheel. And he won. Actually, he mollywhooped those bitches. Not the floor, not the wings, just a damn good racing driver. Good luck next time.
Qatar gp, 2023. Dutch man allergic to winning world championships in a normal way, millions left emotionally berated every year begging for the sweet release of ted kravitzs voice. No I’m jk but actually tell me why this fool cud not have waited for the race to clinch it. Bro had the title confirmed by a sprint where he finished SECOND. As a verstappie, imma tell u to watch this because it’s like. get out of my face rn I love you so much I’m so happy for u also that helmet is so pretty. In Qatar, Max became 1 of 5 drivers who won back to back to back world championships. After the year 2000, 1 of 3. Along wid the biggest championship margin in the most successful season of all time, well. 1 of 1.
Las Vegas, 2023. ummm ok ik this may SHOCK u but he wasn’t a fan. Max spent the whole season bitching about Vegas and breaking records and threatening retirement like that’s literally a fair description of events. Just very verstappen and migraine inducing type of shit. But yes, Vegas. Vegas held no old school appeal whatsoever. And he was right about some things. He never berated the circuit itself, the quality of the racing, just the show around it. U shud build for the track, not around it. It’s not that difficult to understand, or even that unpopular. But Max forgot about one important thing that wud prolly hurt his cause. He has never landed on US soil and not served. The plot armor wud simply never let my baddie have her AHA!!!!moment in Nevada. So I want u to open that cringe FUCKING compilation Sunday stream of the Vegas gp and c what happens when a sleep deprived verstappen and his so called ‘dominant’ ‘untouchable’ ‘unbeatable’ ‘rocket ship’ are released on a frozen track wid barely any data because one of the potholes burst and cut practices into 10 mins. Bitch what happens is good fucking f1 😭😭😭 Some real formula uno cabron 😭😭 Max retakes the lead at the start, overcooks his frozen tires, pushes sharl off, gets a penalty, serves his penalty, comes back wid gods wrath emanating from his fugly white helmet, obliterates the gap to first and Russell along wid it ((🫡)) passes both cars in front in one slick veteran move and sinks his teeth into p1 for the remaining 13 laps. And wins. Maybe not his most characteristic win, but def the funniest one. Stupid ass even sang Elvis. That’s an f1 driver bitch. He can’t trick me.
Here we are. Abu Dhabi. Breathe out. Red Bull won constructors in Japan, Max won the drivers championship in Qatar. It all started wid a lesson, remember? Max was a good teacher. He spent 8 months making sure we learned. Did you?
By Abu Dhabi, 2023, Max had officially set 20 new records, including the record for most records broken in a season by a single driver. 5 of those achievements had already been set in 2022, just upgraded in 2023: most wins in a season, most podiums in a season, most consecutive wins from pole, most hat tricks in a season, and most consecutive top two finishes in history. 3 of his achievements, however, kept him on the hunt until the very last lap: 3rd most wins of all time, over a 1000 laps lead, and the highest percentage of wins in the sports history. Max got them all. He’s now, statistically, the sole protagonist of the most dominant season in f1, and f1’s 3rd most successful driver, behind Schumacher and Hamilton. Max won 19 out of 22 races. 10 of those wins were consecutive. Right now, he’s already on another streak. 3 more wins and he matches his own record. 4 and he resets the book forever. What Max did wid the rb19 needs to be watched again and again and again, because it’ll be years. YEARS .Until we begin to learn how to truly appreciate it. This is just my humble attempt.
In Abu Dhabi, the job was done wid a series of incredible defensive moves that completely shut the door on sharl. No flashy overtakes, no heroics on the inside line. Just strong classic defending. Sharls attack was dealt wid, nullified, the gap was built, set and managed, and Max saw the fireworks 17 seconds earlier than the rest. In 2023, Max was untouchable by all but one. The car he called ‘rocky’. The only car, to this day, according to the man himself, that ever saw him smile before he crossed the finish line. That ever made him happy before it made him a winner.

late night yapping turned essay✨
i could be responsible and do my work but instead i'm gonna make one of these posts because i love reading them on other people's blogs and the best form of procrastination is yapping
ahem ahem
my driver tier list for the 2025 season is divided as follows:
ride or die:
lando: my comfort person who is also the source of all my problems, i cannot put into words the joy this man brings into my life and how much he has made me love this sport and how he cares about his fans and quadrant and the vlogs and streamer lando and open with his feelings and mental health lando and ughhhhh i got lost in those ocean blue eyessss, BUT i can very much put into words how much pain he causes me on the daily. the emotional attachment is strong with this one but i don't know how much i can handle, stay tuned ig
max: cutie patootie who can do no wrong, literally the reason i got into the sport. i love the mad max, i love the cat dad unhinged max, i love sassy max, i love soft and sweet max
oscar: i feel like the only reason he's not my no.1 is because lando and max were here first but omg he's close to overthrowing them. competent, a beast on the track, hilarious (if you think otherwise we can't be friends), the hair swoosh, everythingggg. every time people/fans/the media pit him against lando i lose years off my life but hey this is sports what can i do
you're growing on me:
george: i didn't care for him at all at first i was like oh this is alex's friend but omg why is he growing on me so much. consistent solid results, kimi's big brother, i'm starting to get his sense of humor, what is going on?? his powerpoint origin story is also too funny
charles: also confused as to why he's growing on me, i used to think the environment at ferrari the last couple of seasons was so toxic (which like it was) and i feel like this year it's fresher? also he's not as depressed so maybe that contributes, idk sports are weird
casual enjoyer (in no particular order)
lewis: objectively the best (professionally and as a person), i think he's not in the ride or die category because i never got to really see him in his prime (i got a taste during silverstone last season) so i never formed that emotional attachment, i lowkey don't care for his 8th wdc BUT i do want to see him succeed with ferrari i think it's gonna be so special
alex: wholesome man, solid driver, 10/10 insta dumps, lily's wag, no notes, i just don't have the energy to add him into the ride or die list
yuki: solid, great entertainment, i really wish him the best in that spiraling team pray for this man
carlos: at first i LOVED him because carlando but the amount of fighting that was going on between his fans and leclerc fans was honestly exhausting like i don't have the energy for that, love to see him thrive in williams tho he needs a break, also lowkey my crush ok sue me, also team 55 is simply too funny like at this point they're the main characters and he's the wag
pierre: this man is too funny and also puts in some great drives, underrated in my opinion
liam: ok edit I can’t believe I forgot to add him even tho I had a list of the drivers pulled up. solid driver, he got thrown into redbull too early so I don’t hold the start of the season against him, did I cry when he replaced daniel, yes, but I also get it. as someone whose fav movie is ratatouille, I respect his loyalty to cars
i'm rooting for you twin:
kimi: omg the wonderkid i've liked him since the prema days he's just too wholesome. i've fully adopted him, he's my child now
ollie: wowed me with his performance in saudi last year, also liked him since prema, i really want him to do good
isack: hilarious cutie patootie, i wish him the best, also north african solidarity bb i don't care what flag he drives under
no hate i just don't care (also in no particular order):
fernando: i don't get the appeal, sometimes he's funny tho
hulk: i tried ok, the haasbands were funny and i want him to get that podium, but i just don't have it in me
lance: go girl give us nothing? i respected his return after breaking his hand that was impressive but other than that he's just so meh
ocon: don't really care for him but also don't like all the unnecessary hate this man gets
jack: it's not really his fault i just want franco back
gabriel: i just haven't seen enough of him, he has potential to move up to casual enjoyer
if anyone would like to make a case for these drivers i'm all ears give me your unhinged thoughts

sorting f1 drivers into hogwarts houses pt. 2
Max Verstappen - Gryffindor
He is straightforward, sweet ( yes he is I said what I said), an absolute beast on track, a cat dad of 2, HIS HELMET HAS A LITERAL LION ON IT???? like come on now. You have to see it.
He was brash when he was younger, but he has matured out of it now. His mentality literally screams gryffindor. I always try to get the best result out of it, I'm not there to just sit second or sit third. I'm a winner, and I want to win every single race, and I will always go for it. The only place that matters is first.
He is misunderstood at times, deliberately as well. Also, the whole thing with Jos...he is a gryffindor. The lion, the flying dutchman.

i mean people are just really mad that lando's race got ruined after what looked like his best weekend since australia so theyre just crashing out at everyone and everything, i cant lie it has been so frustrating to see him having to come back from p7 with pace that makes me believe he would have won that by 30 seconds, and that + the jeddah crash + everything about bahrain.... at the end i guess people are just irritated to see him struggle with something he had dominated last season because they made that car for his slower teamamate (and im not even saying that was on purpose but it is the truth)
i mean 'they' didn't make the car for his slower teammate, his teammate just isn't slower anymore
the dynamic we've seen with them two ever since late 2023 was that lando at his best is unbeatable, but oscar is more consistent. this is why he always does well on sprint weekends, and why whenever lando mucks up quali he's always there to pick up the pieces. it looks like he's less daring with his lines / decisions over one lap (but he IS more daring in wheel-to-wheels. which is where lando tends to be more calculated and choose the 'safe' option more)
so lando this year has been complaining abt not clicking with the car as much as oscar, but i don't think that's bc oscar 'prefers' this more unstable configuration, but bc lando is an absolute beast over 1 lap and his all-out approach (while extremely sexy) fucks him over sometimes with this more difficult car. and like half the time hes been talking abt struggling in the car, he was first in like every quali session except q3 - so it's clearly not an issue of speed, it's an issue of risk / reward, which is a problem we've seen lando manage and conquer before
and that's like... what, four races? he's clearly back on pace now, and has never actually ceded the lead in terms of race pace (imo oscar no longer has that obvious deficit, he now just drives really well, but lando still has the measure on him purely because his race pace has always been exceptional). it was obvs frustrating yesterday to watch lando lose out & give oscar his third victory in a row, but we all saw what happened, right? max verstappen wheel-to-wheel extraordinaire once again pushed a fellow driver almost into the wall, then lando did as much as could be expected of him to salvage the race yet again and overtake everyone except the other mclaren
u mention bahrain and jeddah and yes it's been really frustrating to watch like 3 recovery races in a row from lando. and ig u can choose to be frustrated at the car that's giving him quali woes but at the end of the day its on lando to fix it and he IS fixing it. i trust him as a driver, i trust him as a qualifier, and i trust him as an athlete who learns from his mistakes. and none of that has anything to do with oscar
i think all in all my frustrations with lando's situation just kind of... stay put where they are, instead of extending into a conspiracy that mclaren hates lando bc they posted a photo where oscar's big forehead (beloved) blocks him out. or bc the mclaren merch store has put out oscar win merch. that's specifically what i was talking about, not that lando fans aren't allowed to be annoyed in general
aaaand there's also another phenomenon where ppl assume the mclaren strategy team is evil bc thats the tumblr Narrative nowadays so i'll see screenshots of completely normal mclaren app radio messages interpreted in the most bizarre bad-faith way with captions like 'i hate that evil papaya team'. but that's neither here nor there bc i only see those posts on my fyp which is just populated with stupid takes from the #lando norris tag, so that's on me for venturing out into the wilderness

Honestly I think the Red Bull is probably the second fastest car on track, depending on the track properties, and tied with Mercedes. The less said about Ferrari the better, but they are fourth (maybe fifth this weekend? I hate it here.) with Charles able to compete on race pace sometimes by driving to the absolute limit.
But McLaren is the clear fastest by multiple tenths at every track. The only reason they are not completely dominating is because of their drivers not taking full advantage, specifically Lando unable to be the clear number 1.
It doesn't surprise me that Lando, Andrea Stella, and Zak Brown keep downplaying the McLaren because what else are they going to say? Yeah we made an engineering beast but our drivers can't maximize it so we're getting beat by slower cars? Including last race, Charles beating Lando in the worst product Ferrari has put out in a long time?
They know how dominant the car should be but it isn't working out that way so they have to pretend they're not the underdogs.
I think it is quite difficult to know the exact order because it seems to fluctuate depending on the tracks (because Red Bull looked far from second fastest in Bahrain) but yes I completely agree, its clear Mclaren have the fastest car in both qualifying and the race. The reason Max has achieved the pole positions he has is because he put in a phenomenal lap when it counted and other drivers were more cautious or made mistakes.
I can see why Mclaren are downplaying the advantage and trying to take some pressure off but to say red bull are the ones playing the underdogs when that is exactly what Mclaren did last year despite having the fastest car is pretty laughable! The Red Bull is absolutely not as fast as the Mclaren at the moment and its clear to see. It’s hard to hide the advantage when you see how easily they are able to pull away at times!
I truly believe that if Max were in the car we would have another 2023 domination level performance. Maybe Max just changed our expectations of what a driver in the fastest car should be able to achieve!  He's just too good he has changed how we measure everyone!
The less said about Ferrari the better! I thought they had made a small step forward the other week but this week has been appalling. I saw some onboards and the car looked underivable at times. We can only hope it's better in the race.

This is my current copium theory on what Fred may have discussed with Charles. I base this on the relationship they have, the repeated confirmations from Charles that he believes in Fred and his plans, Charles's recent change in attitude & driving, plus a massive amount of hope from my end.
So what if... Fred told Charles that the focus for the rest of the year needs to be on maximizing points for the team. The car is understeery, better suited to Carlos's driving style. Charles has desperately tried to get the most out of it by driving it right up to the limit, with mixed results. Yes, he's managed to get some poles and podiums, but also lost out on points by pushing it too hard. And while Fred has said he doesn't want Charles to change the way he drives, Charles somewhat has though. He is no longer risking it all in quali. Sure, there was the battle for 3rd place in Monza, but I doubt Fred would like to see a repeat of that.
So perhaps the deal is: Support Carlos as much as possible and maximize the points for the WCC. And in 2024 the car will be what Charles wants it to be: a pointy, oversteery, aggressive beast of a car that Fred knows Charles can tame to take Ferrari to new heights. Carlos may struggle to adapt again, but as we have seen with Aston Martin and Red Bull, you don't necessarily need 2 top drivers to bring home a boatload of points, podiums, wins, and, in Max's case, even a WDC + WCC.
So Charles will play second fiddle to Carlos, and be a team player...for now. But if in 2024 Ferrari can deliver a car on par or preferably vastly better than what the F1-75 was at the start of 2022, there will be no doubt who the number 1 driver is.

Is it bad that I want the Kimi experiment to fail bc i am tired of the obsession, especially when it comes at the expense of George.
I have very very complicated feelings about Kimi— he’s a kid, but he’s also a rich nepo kid. He’s got talent, but I don’t think he’s more special than most others. He deserves a shot as much as anyone else, but his shot has come at the expense of two different drivers who earned it just as much, but don’t necessarily have the same kind of family connection and financial backing. He’s so young and I don’t think it’s right to throw money at people that young because of what it does to their ego’s- but that’s not reasonable to expect him to turn it down.
He comes into a seat I feel a deep amount of grief and anguish over losing Lewis from, it automatically sets him up on the wrong foot for me emotionally, and that’s not his fault, but feelings don’t follow flattened logic. His promotion comes bundled with upset about how junior series and Mercedes choices are being handled, grief from Lewis, anger about Toto and his thoughtless, foot in mouth comments, and a sense of… wrong about how Fred was unfairly sidelined and somewhat disrespected by hiring a fresh 18 year old over him.
My gut, petty want is for Kimi to not work out, because it would be a perfect up yours to Toto and all of those who yes-man’d his comments and allowed his dad to shit talk George and act as if dropping Lewis was was always the plan. It would hopefully teach f1 execs squeezing teenagers for a couple more years of money has a detrimental effect, and doesn’t just produce more shitty entitled max’s. That is because I’m bitter, and frustrated, and angry
But I’ve also had enough therapy to know it doesn’t really fix anything does it— it’s not gonna make Lewis come back. It’s not gonna put Fred in a Williams on track to Merc the same way George got. It’s not gonna take away the hurt, or the shitty comments about George, or put back my faith in Mercedes, or my friends who used to like Merc and George and now can’t stand it. It won’t give me my Gewis in championships cars.
I don’t think it makes any of us horrifically bad people to kinda want those things, because sports are petty beasts made of this kind of thinking— and we are allowed to be angry sometimes. BUT I also think it doesn’t make any of us feel much better at the end of it.
You can do both, you can be petty and give yourself some eye rolling I told you so moments while ALSO just not letting that shit consume you, you know? Bc it might be satisfying but it will not feed you long term.

agreeing so hard with your post about why mclaren domination is so..meh
like yeah you could argue merc and rb dominations were boring but let's not forget why everybody calls max generational talent and lewis is considered the goat (slight disagreement with you here, there was a guy who was able to beat him in equal machinery🫣🤭) but lando is just... well. meh. i just don't see many people excited about his driving style, and let's not forget, even this season with mclaren as it is, he made a few of very...meh drives with weird mistakes
Like i would love to see him develop his style but for now he just talks as if he already had a championship under his belt while still having only two? wins
well, i have one(1) defense one it comes to nico: yes he did beat lewis, but at the time no one thought he would be able to.
Imo what makes a domination period at least acceptable is that yes, if your favorite is not winning, you can say "oh rb07 was so dominant" "oh michael always had the best cars" "w11 was The Fastest Car Ever" "rb19 is a rocketship wtf" but like. The possibility of your fav winning in the aforementioned rocketship but questioned at best, ignored at worst. The cars were rocketships, but the drivers were genuine beasts at the time.
You can't say that about lando. And yes, the best driver does not have to(and in history did not) win all the time. Jenson button won the 2009 wdc against ferrari and red bull, nico was admittedly a worse driver than at least seb and lewis in 2016, but their fans would not claim that these two are the best of their time just because they have a wdc. Lando's fans will, though. That's what icks me, and the fact that he's not even the most talented 2019 rookie(it's george).
Anyways i just don't like that both fans and the driver himself is all talk and no walk. Fix your starts then talk my god

By documentary I assume you mean Drive to Survive? If so, some thoughts: they hugely overhype Lando's skills and paint him as a poor underdog despite driving for top team McLaren for 6 years and being their obvious number one driver. He doesn't race anymore, but I don't like Daniel Riccardo. He defended Christian Horner (RedBull team principal) during the investigation of him harassing an employee into an affair. Called it "just noise." DTS paints Max Verstappen as a villian and while he certainly has done things worthy of penalties and criticism, they take it too far. Max has openly been given penalties even though in the ruling the FIA (governing body) said they had no merit to do this penalty based on the rules. He's a beast behind the wheel so they pull everything out to slow him down and rig a McLaren (including the continued debacle with McLaren's illegal parts).
Warning: fans of Charles Leclerc's Alexandra girlfriend can be a lot. She liked tweets advocating against multicultural societies because it waters down the host culture (literally that multiculturalism will decay French culture), fans will bend over backwards to say those screenshots were fabricated (they weren't) and some make fake posts of some admitting to making the likes up. She reminds me of Hailey Bieber's fans. Like no big offense to these ladies but Alexandra doesn't do much. She has basic clean girl style, sometimes posts photos of art, but has a huge following of fans acting like she's so cool, original, the second coming of Jane Birkin, etc.
Miami, the upcoming race, is pretty interesting because that's were many teams try out big upgrades and can shake things up. After that is Imola which is my fave because the background is so gorgeous.
Currently most races aren't full of dramatic overtakes and crashes. There's ideas and tweaks to make things more interesting, but we're also in the middle of new regulations. A lot of fans bitch about how boring it is and throw instant fix suggestions despite having no mechanical or engineering knowledge, best to ignore them.
I can send my username if you ever want to DM me questions! I also have a full working knowledge the catacombs of skeletons in the Piquet's closet because I'm nosy and my brain is stupid and only remembers dumb things.
Ohh yes please! I’m learning so much bro wtf

Imo, the car built around max. They make it to suit max's style. Thats why its hard for other driver to tame this beast. But, the car is also bad cause even max find it hard to control it t.t have you see today interview? Man looks so defeated t.t
Yes, I saw it, he is really trying hard this season. Maybe Lawson can manage to get points tomorrow. It was nice to watch his overtaking in the sprint. I am more positive because the race will be longer.
And I don't know why but I feel like Lando is going to DNF tomorrow. Not because I want it to happen but I feel like someone on the front grid is going to DNF and he's been making mistakes a lot this week.
