your science fiction stuff is absolutely amazing in its vibe, especially bad ending, it's got such a surgical, clean feel, very unique & refreshing as someone who mostly interacted with sci-fi that is focused on the opposite, like downing a cold glass of water. im incredibly curious about the inspirations behind the aesthetic of your work, what you think has influenced your creations the most. cheers!

Ooohhh thank you. Surgical and clean is exciting to hear, it’s what I aim for.

Nootics has origins in when I outlined/diagrammed an unposted crossover between Inception, Inside Out, and Soul, along with what the “inside” of a seedlet’s mind is like.

Neobotanics is from wanting to design a system of sophont artificial intelligence science that has traits I don’t find often and or that I’d like to see: deeply emotional AIs that stay as large expressionless computers or have industrial-looking RC bodies, innately altruistic AIs that don’t particularly desire autonomy, AIs that can’t be duplicated and experience mental deterioration, AIs that don’t “run” far beyond human intelligence, AIs that require involved education and socialization with people.

Chronotics is from thinking “what if ‘time travel’ existed but wasn’t what people usually think of when they hear ‘time travel,’ and what if it was painfully expensive and complicated, and you could only send particles?”

I take aesthetic inspiration from the Interface Series, @turbofanatic’s insane everything, qntm’s Lena and There Is No Antimemetics Division, and a handful of technical/conceptual SCPs.
