hi! So the other day someone recommended I listen to Rammstein. I never have listened to any of their stuff before. I was wondering if you might have any suggestions on where I should start? What songs do you like? What’s the fandom like? Stuff like that. Thx!

just a little tidbit of info, hopefully this doesn't turn you off to them, but they sing almost entirely in german (with the exception of a few phrases and mainly one song) - i wasn't sure if anyone told you that, haha, but they're really cool despite the language barrier

as for starter songs i can give a few very common starters and then a few of my personal favorites just to get some variety

most commonly, people's first rammstein songs are Sonne or Du Hast (because of how often they're played), but songs from their first album like Du Riechst So Gut or Heirate Mich are also common first hears. also, for stuff from their newer albums, try Ausländer or Deutschland (or Radio) ((i think those all come from the same album actually LMAO))

for personal favorites of mine, i've gotta say songs like Küss Mich (on Sehnsucht) and Zwitter (on Mutter) have stuck with me since i first heard them. i've also got a soft spot for songs like Laichzeit (on Herzeleid) and Giftig (on Zeit) — the song Angst (also on Zeit) is amazing too, i love hearing Till do a yell

they've also done a cover or two (officially published ones) - one being a cover of Das Modell by Kraftwerk, and the other being a cover of Stripped by Depeche Mode, sung entirely in English by Till

if you'd like an entire album to start with, my first album was Mutter, then I branched out and listened to Sehnsucht and the rest of their stuff

Mutter is a really good starter album for them, I feel, it's pretty tame but it also has its moments like Links 2 3 4 (amazing song)

i'm not sure about what goes on on other social platforms, but for the most part, about like 95% of this fandom is so wonderful and sweet i cannot even tell you - i've met some of the coolest and kindest people because of this band and they love new additions to the fandom just like i do :) you'd be welcomed, don't worry

hello! I don’t believe I’ve interacted with you before, but I saw your artfight post? And I’ve heard of it before but I don’t know what it is. Could I ask: What is it? How does it work?

Artfight is an online art trading game, lasting the entire month of July, where everyone on the site (who's participating) is split into two teams — points are awarded when you attack people on the other team :) — also, all characters on the site are OCs, so it's a really fun way to see characters you made and love being drawn by all types of artists

attacks and defenses are all done by drawing someone else's character - points are awarded by looking at how much of the character you draw, what you do with the backgrounds (detail-wise), how much effort you put into the drawing... etc.

anybody at any art skill level can join, as long as you're 13 or above you can participate — also, i know i said attacks and defenses are done by drawing a character, but Artfight does allow other mediums beside just pen & paper (or tablet & stylus). you can do 3D models for art, animations, i think crafts as well technically count, as long as it depicts the character

Artfight has a few rules, but most of them are self-explanatory (your attacks have to be your own art, your characters can't be characters that already exist (aka you can put up your OC but you couldn't put up Zim from Invader Zim), don't shame/bully other artists, don't start drawing attacks before Artfight starts bc thats cheating, etc.)

i tried Artfight for the first time two years ago and i've had a lot of fun with it! i highly recommend it for anyone who loves art trades or seeing their OC's get drawn by others

you maybe might know this, but copia and perpetua are both played by the same guy (tobias forge), just for extra info

however!!! copia used to be the frontman, playing onstage and having fun, the usual for bands

he had two album cycles (more than any of the other guys) because of his transition from cardinal to papa

so, clearly, he was used to being in the spotlight, getting all this attention from fans

but during the Rite Here Rite Now movie, his mom (Sister Imperator (the lady in my pfp)) died of a heart attack (pretty sure that's what it was, either that or just old age)

since she was the leader of the clergy (the fictional group behind getting the band their shows and all the social media and whatnot), she decided that once she died, she was going to let copia (her son) become the new leader of the clergy

he's been put in this higher position, but because he won't be playing shows anymore (and he'll be stuck doing paperwork /hj) he feels like he's been demoted and he's clearly really sour about it

now, perpetua, as shown to us in the RHRN movie and also told to us in the latest chapter video, is copia's fraternal twin, so he's the next in line to be papa, go out on stage, do all the fun stuff

we've been told he's gonna be a quiet guy, which is chill <3

but copia didn't even know he had a twin until recently, and judging by his reactions, he still hasn't even met the guy - he's being super petty which is really funny but also kinda sad because it means that V (perpetua) probably won't be equipped with any of the love he needs ((also who the fuck raised him))

the whole situation is kinda like if some random guy showed up in your house and told you he was actually your dad, like "huh???? what the fuck????"

we're in for some sibling rivalry i think, which will be fun ^^

my hope is that these two silly twins will eventually get along
