the fact that cerces uses mnestia's remains to guard a part of their coreflame is SO INTERESTING. this act (as well as their love for mnestia) implies that love and reason aren't opposed, but rather intertwined. i think anaxa knows this -- when he goes back to okhema in 3.1, he insists on visiting the families of the dead before doing anything else, even though it prolongs his stay and makes it more likely that aglaea will cause him trouble. love before reason; romance's butterfly shielding reason's coreflame. on the other hand, aglaea is an interesting contrast. she always puts reason before love, despite being the demigod of romance. perhaps it has something to do with the original relationship between the two titans, back when mnestia confessed their love to cerces but received no response. aglaea sees that anaxa will not respond to the prophecy, but it seems that her response diverges from her titan's. after being rejected by cerces, mnestia cries tears of blood and is reborn as a humanoid figure; in other words, they become infinitely more human. on the other hand, aglaea is one of the chrysos heirs that gives up her humanity for the flamechase. i wonder how this is going to develop in the upcoming patches
