 “How many fandoms will there be??”

Well my friend, if you're asking how many fandoms will be featured in this event—this is an all mcty fandom event because… I love all mcty fandoms! So I can’t really give you a clear answer on that. Different people will bring different mcty fandoms, and I don’t have enough data to say for sure just yet.

Speaking of the interest check, it might be smart of me to go ahead and add what fandom or fandoms you are in? as an official question. Yeah, I’ll do that!

Gameplay

You’ll be working in teams, and each one will have its own total health bar and a money bar. Every team kicks off with the same starting amounts.

 The game revolves around giving gifts. You can either attack other teams or heal your own by giving others fics!

Attacking Other Teams

To lower other teams health bars just write a story and gift it to a participant on an opposing team! It's super important to clearly state in your author's notes that it's an attacking fic. This helps us make sure your efforts count!

Damage Dealt: Every 150 words in your attacking fic deals 100 HP of damage!

Word Count: Attacking fics must be at least 300 words and can go up to 10,000 words.

Healing Your Team

To boost your own team's health, you'll also write a story and gift it to someone on your team. Remember to clearly state in your author's notes that it's a healing fic!

Healing Power: Each word in your healing fic directly contributes to your team's health!

Word Count: Healing fics must be at least 500 words and can go up to 10,000 words.

Please note that your not given a role to do only fighting or only healing, you can do both, or you could only one. That is your choice!

The Traitor

On each team, there's one special role: the Traitor! This person has a unique mission: to subtly work against their own team and help the opposition.

Opposite Actions: Instead of healing their own team, they'll attack them. And instead of attacking other teams, they'll heal them!

Traitors may even be able to communicate with other traitors from different teams – you never know there tricks

Even though traitors have a special role, they still have to hit the minimum word count for both fighting and healing fics.

What if you find who the traitor is? Well if you find out who the traitor they don’t get kicked or anything. They just become a normal person who will help you.

Why find the traitor? Well then you’ll have an easier time in gameplay, and you won’t be attacked by your own. This gives you an advantage against other teams!

The Shop part

The "Shop Event" isn't just a catchy name because we love business themes (though we do!). It's where the real happens and possibly torment happens

Each team starts with a shared amount of money, and it's vital for two key things:

Buying from the Shop: Each team has its own dedicated shop where you can purchase awesome items to give you an edge in the fight!

Healing Fics: While healing fics are powerful, they aren't free! Each healing fic costs $50 to create. No free healthcare in this event, sadly!

But don't worry, making money isn't too tough! For every attacking fic your team creates, you'll earn $25!

So, spend your money wisely!

The traitor also uses money up when making fics. When they make a healing fic, it uses money from your own team still, and when they make a fighting fic

Fics will be posted in a team collection, each team has there own collection. As well as art.

Writers & Artists minimums!

Writers

Write 300 words for an attacking fic (10,000 words max). Every 150 words equals 100 damage. You'll earn $25 for your piece.

Write 500 words for a healing fic (10,000 words max). The amount healed depends on your word count. Healing works cost $50 each.

Artists

A clean sketch of a character or ship for a fighting work will deal at least 300 HP of damage—and you’ll still earn $25. (300 points minimum) 

A clean sketch with color of a character or ship for a healing work will heal at least 500 HP. These works require $50 still. (500 points minimum)

However you can add more:

 Extra character: +50 points  Extra character with a collar: +100 points  Detailed background: +150 points

This will be added to the point minimum or the attack/healing of a work!

You can mix and match add-ons however you like—just a background with the character, an extra character, or all three! It’s totally up to you, based on what you’re creating.

No matter what you choose, the reward and cost stay the same: attacking works earn you $25, and healing works require $50.

Jokes aside, It most likely will be random, I may when sending out a sign-up let people choose if they want to be a traitor or not. Then pick randomly out of those who opted-in.

So yes it is mostly random!

“Is there a chance artists will be able to participate?”

It used to be just writing but after a bit of work on the point systems. As the artworks are more complicated to break down then the fics. 

Artists will be able to participate as well!
