This is a witch and magic blog. But one of the cool ones, I swear. I like frogs, and being a good person. I post kinda consistently, and I've been active a REALLY LONG TIME in tumblr years.

Doing my best not to be appropriative or exclusionary in any way, also painfully human (read as: can make mistakes and will happily correct them). I also try to spread awareness about cults, misinformation, and other relevant topics in the magic community.

I have chronic pain, and am learning to use mobility aids. Dislocated my hip trying to get outta the bathtub, and my knee WHILE SLEEPING. Physical therapy and compression wear are my friends. 🤣 (getting that diagnosis figured out, I hurt a lot, All the time. I have theories 🦓.)

I thought I met God once in a cemetery in December 2018, and It told me to leave an abusive marriage. I don't really know what that means because I don't understand what Higher Power is. I just hope and try to believe it's there. Due to this and my religious upbringing, I am known to trip and fall into cults, or to be singled out by cult recruiters (Hi. Yes, this has happened literally more than 7 times).

I was raised in arguably one of the biggest cults in the world - no, not scientology. So I sincerely believe the only way to find God or Upper Whatever is to figure it out yourself. I suspect everyone is probably wrong in some ways, right in others. Ergo, I'm painfully agnostic. Again, cults can sniff me out - if I'm getting weird, please check on me. I'm learning to catch myself.

I work with Change in the form of Death - or Death as Change - I'm not sure if that matters. I also work with Uni, the Cat God Of Self. Which. I made up. I made a blog about that, if you can find it. You will see that a lot here. I struggle to actually "worship" anything, probably due to religious trauma. Having a lack of Faith is hard for me.

I write spells, cultivate cool posts. I hardcore try to peer review, please don't hunt me for sport for reblogging a shitty blog. My header has all my DNIS. Just send me an ask and call me out - I'll be reasonable. I also share stories.

I like dinosaurs, vegetarian food (not exclusively), talking about glasses, writing, movies, goth culture, history, reading, art, plants, and dark humor. I write a lot in the bathtub. I live in an old house in the US. Hopefully I become locally famous too, so I can quit my job and freelance forever with my chronic pain problems. Or be a ghost tour guide as my real job.

1. Intellivision (tied for the first one I made with coleco) . There's not too much to explain the text other than it makes me laugh. Short explanation tommy tallerico is a guy who bought the intellivision brand and started a cursed to never release console called the amico. Because of this fuck as limbo revival, Telli was literally ripped out of heaven in 2018 and is stuck as a ghost now indefinitely. Tallerico is the only one who can see him. Fate worse than death. (You might know him as the Roblox oof guy)

3. Is a little comic thing. I didn't really plan to make much of it it was just cool. Its based on the sort of inciting incident. The patient 0 of stories I tell about these guys. Idk how to explain but if I were to write this as book this is where it would start. Its a very specific shift in dynamic, and it breaks a lot of "silence". Its like the new testament. This is Jesus being born. As I've said before, New Sega can see Old Sega but chooses to ignore him for his own sanity. New Sega is so committed to this that Old Sega doesn't even know he can see him, and because of that, continues to air out his anger on New.

Its particularly bad on New's birthday because its also the day Old Sega died. Old Sega doesn't really see New as much of a person. He sees him as a manifestation of everything that went wrong and caused him (and Dreamcast) to die. He sees him as cold and unfeeling (because new refuses to show any emotion to him) and something to air out his anger on.

On New Sega's 20th birthday, he finally snaps and tells Old off. This causes a change reaction of character dynamic shifts.

4. The ghosts in current day. Atari (upside down) is a ghost from the 1996 bankruptcy being bought out and done nothing with for the most part. If the brand hadn't been bought and changed he would've just died. Intellivision is a ghost because I already said why. Sega in the corner. Ghost because 1st party-> 3rd party

5. Is the coleco ref I used in the slideshow. Check the slideshow. I know his proportions are fucky.

6. Is silly I drew this during work (when I used to be a cashier) on receipt paper💀 Nintendo, old Sega, and bandai Namco (bn to a lesser extent) don't like New for the same reason, being a replacement of Old Sega.

4 from the questionnaire! i have a little bit of a story to go with my answer.

i was on my way home from school in september 2018 and i was 15. rats came on the radio and i was like "wow this is neat" so i went home and looked it up. clicked on the music video obv and all i can remember thinking is "wow this guy's ugly" (@ cardi c) 💀 i didn't realize it was a mask at that time. of course i grew to love the rat man and his unique appearance, i just find it very funny.

I am absolutely in love with the idea that you found cardi to be ugly! For some reason that is the best thing i’ve heard all day. While Cardi is definitely my comfort papa, I can definitely see how at some angles he’s a little ugly but that’s okay! He still is in a special place in my heart forever!

Now the very first MV that I saw by them was Kiss the Go-Goat. I had just gotten into Ghost and their music and I immediately fell in love with that song. When I learned that it had a music video, boy did I sprint to youtube to watch. Young Papa Nihil could fuck me on that stage and I would have no qualms about it and I will die on that hill (don’t tell Aether). But I also loved seeing a young Sister Imperator and she could step on me and I would say thank you. But yes, Kiss the Go-Goat still has me in a chokehold and will forever be my favorite song alongside Dance Macabre!

10 Anti LO Asks

1. people also need to get frustration with LO isn't because people don't like RS (though she isn't exactly free from critique)  it's because she's just another privileged white woman who is handed everything on a golden platter while she does increasingly more subpar work, meanwhile other webtoon creators have to work twice as hard while they get ignored and neglected by WT. She's just another example of privileged mediocrity getting all the rewards while rest get scraps at very best.

2. Not an LO critique per-say but I hate how webtoons will always make sure to promote it and pretend theyre still easygoing team as if they're not the same company who neglected the B&R so much they want to quit art all together, cancelled BOTH comics by the roommate assassin's creator w/ no warning, and are ghosting the creator of #blessed for over 2 years now so they can't continue. But hey, make sure to think they're such a nice company that totally don't care about the cash cow creators only!

3. whats so annoying me is you know if rachel was a greek person that you just know no one would care about LO because no one cares about the opinions of actual greeks less than xenoi. rachel on virtue of being a kiwi gets held up as the ACTUAL expert on greece and its myths meanwhile the actual greeks are silenced and told they should be thankful to HER "keeping the myths alive". its just gross she gets to butcher an ongoing culture's stories all for her profit while she aides in silencing them.

4. i actually got an LO ad while on youtube today and its just?? weird theyre still only using art from 2018?? like idk i get thats when it actually had effort put into it, but it would be really weird to discover it now and see the style just got so much worse/different and the story doesnt align at all with what the ads say it is.

5. ngl i want to see what stupid reasoning rachel makes up to deal with semele and dionysus because it will truly be unhinged if she tries to hashtag girlboss hera as she murders a pregnant women and tortures a baby through his adulthood (personally i think she'll have hxp adopt the baby for whatever reason but then now dionysus has to deal with a mom who would be a better sister and a dad who resents him for not being from his broken balls 💀) guess we'll have to wait and see.

6. IDK to me I don't think people have to justify why they don't like this comic, because I have seen way too many of the fans force people to out their sexual abuse histories and trauma to explain why they're so uncomfortable with it, only to be told by these same fans that doesn't matter and saying they're wrong and basically need to "get over it" because the comic matters more they do. It's so gross to force them to explain their pain only to be told their pain and opinions don't matter anyway.

7. I don't even get why Webtoons keeps trying to acquire new comics from NAVER or Canvas when they only focus on LO, LP, TB, and at best UnO and leave the rest to fend for themselves. No wonder the last few months of "Greenlit" announcements have included either one/two or no picked up Canvas series, and for good reason. Why would they agree to all that work with little pay and no company support? They'll spend at most one instagram post on them meanwhile they just HAVE to make another 30 for LO.

8. To add to the "LO should be taught in schools" thing: literature you read in school (esp high school and college) HAS to be challenging and make you think, so YA of any type often just isn't included bc they're not deep They can still read LO all they want, but it serves zero academic merit and that's fine! They don't need academic approval to enjoy a lowbrow comic! If anything trying to hype it up as something it's not only opens it up to being even more critiqued that it already is!

9. I honestly wish RS had stuck with her Victorian era comic because not only would we not have to deal with LO but I would 100% prefer to read a gothic style comic about sci fi horror and dry sarcasm over this neon colored fanfic of the 2014 tumblr version of greek mythology mixed with her ripping off fifty shades.

10. it's embarrassing how the stans just claim "misogyny!!" when one critiques LO or says its not exactly high art because like? It's pop lit, it's not groundbreaking in any way and frankly pretty devoid in any sort of themes or messages, and that's fine! it has a place for that and a lot of people like it, but it's not misogyny to admit it's not Shakespeare. Yeah, a lot of YA and female stories are pushed aside as "fluff" but LO is NOT being discriminated against for being YA or by a woman.

What sparks joy for you outside of Ghost? 🖤

Not gonna lie, I had to think about this one for a while. Ghost has literally consumed my life at this point 💀

First off, I’ve made some amazing friends since I’ve gotten to college so them, of course :D

I’ve been a huge Markiplier enjoyer since 2018 and I still love to check in on his channel every now and again. He’s such an entertaining and comforting person; I always feel better after watching his content.

I also still hold a huge place for FNaF near and dear to my heart. It was one of the first pieces of media I ever fully entrenched myself in and I’ve been a fan since the first game came out in 2014 when I was ten. I honestly think it might be a special interest of mine because it has just never fully gone away lmao.

Speaking of special interests, I also love space! Really anything existential and terrifying like that, honestly. Space scares the shit out of me but it’s absolutely fascinating and soooooo goddamn gorgeous, I’m amazed by it every day. And oh my god have you heard the sound a black hole makes???

Something I also have a passion for is writing, though I’m only able to really enjoy it when I’m in the right mindset and emotional state. It’s almost always on impulse cus planning kills the excitement for me, which means I can’t seem to finish anything over a few chapters :’)

THIS ONE'S A DEEP CUT LMAO I don't know if this counts as a concert bc it was actually more of a small bar gig not a big concert, but I count it bc I love them My first concert (that I remember at least) was going to see Driftless Pony Club!! I'm pretty sure it was around 2011, so I was like… 12/13? It was super fun!! WheezyWaiter signed my sibling's friend's face connecting his beard to his sideburn it was great askansjdf. If you've never heard their music and enjoy some early 2010s indie, I highly recommend their first two albums "Buckminster" and "Expert," the sound of my childhood 🖤🖤

Not yet, I really, really hope to get close for Ghost in Sept. tho 😭 The closest I've been was in GenAdm at Monumentour 2014 seeing Fall Out Boy and Paramore lmaooo I'm not as into them anymore, but I had the TIME OF MY LIFE. I was like five rows of people from the stage and I could have touched Joe Trohman it was amazinggg. I have a bunch of shitty quality pics and videos of it from my ipod touch 4 LMAO I was also pretty close to the front when I went to see Against Me! in 2018, we were standing a level above ground to avoid the pit, they put on an AMAZING show. I adore LJG and Against Me! holds a very special place in my heart (Also idk if this counts bc not a concert, but I got front row tickets to see the Beetlejuice musical on broadway. It was the second to last show with the full original cast before Rob McClure left and I cried so hard it was amazingggggg 😭😭😭)

I just want to go back in time a few years and have listened to Ghost since Meliora era. I was so close!! I've known about them for a while having had only listened to Square Hammer, but only recently got really actually into them. Gross buzzword, I know, but I have such fomo for not being able to see papa iii in concert 💀💀💀 That, or, there was a time Todd Rundgren came to a city near me. I wanted to take my dad for Father's Day bc he introduced me to his music, but I just wasn't able to swing it 😔

We used to have matching MP3 players, and that soundtrack specifically was one of the few things on hers LOL Meat Market by Everybody Else and How The Day Sounds by Greg Laswell make me think of playing OMGPOP games with dear friends I have a lot of music that I connect to my bestie and roommate kenzie, but we've been living together for over two years through the (multiple) pandemic(s) so I Cannot list everything, mostly more musical soundtracks come to mind. Caro, mi amor, mi vida <3 One of my favorite bands is Avenged Sevenfold and I got to see them live in 2018!!! I loved it so much, I also had the flu so I was dying the next day 💀 but it was amazing, my first big big concert experience. Then everything changed when the global pandemonium began, BUT in a couple weeks I'm going to the Ghost concert and I'M SO EXCITED FOR IT! I have started thinking about what outfit I might wear because you know I want to make it extra spicy 🔥

If I had a week off and no budget limit I would fly to meet you, and Ames, and Brea, and all the other sebesties! Maybe organize a totally not a cult week vacation together to some nice place in nature!

i’m making it my mission to try tomyum now. i actually know a restaurant kind of near me that has a fusion of like malaysian and singaporean food i’m pretty sure so i’ll have to check it sometime and see if they have it 😋. SAME salmon avocado sushi is my favorite !! i love tuna avocado too. yes let’s pls have a cooking sesh that would be so fun and then i can make you all your fave foods hehehe. okay so technically i’m not supposed to have caffeine BUTTT if i’m ordering a coffee there, i get the brown sugar shaken espresso with chocolate cream cold foam :)) it’s so delish you should try it. but i almost always get the mango dragonfruit refresher bc it’s not tooooo much caffeine and it tastes so good. it’s been my go to since it came out in 2018 (i’m literally drinking it as i’m typing rn). what about you what do you get ??

SALMON AVOCADO SUSHI 😋 now im craving for sushi. kinda want sushi for dinner now, or should i get chillis’ nachos instead?? im indecisive!! ooh malaysian and singaporean food are pretty much the same tbh! singapore was once a state under malaysia, after all — so a lot of our cultures are the same. i think a restaurant serving malaysian and singaporean fusion food wud definitely serve tomyum!! or you can go to a thai place, really, cs thai tomyum’s the best out of the best 😋 esp if u like spicy food ^__^

why r we the same again, im not supposed to have caffeine either 🧘‍♀ makes my anxiety act up!! however i <3 coffee so i will continue consuming caffeine. oo that does sound delish, i’m gonna try it when i get the chance! mango drinks r so good <33 u have taste!! i usually get an asian dolce latte, it’s so good. not too sweet nor too bitter, just like how i like it!! if not that, i usually get a mango drink as well (i forgot whats the name but it’s kinda like a smoothie) orrr i like ordering their limited specials hehe. esp their christmas ones. their Christmas specialty drinks always bangs frfr.
