suvi's scene was so beautiful. i can't stop thinking about it and to me it's brought together so many themes and story threads and suvi's entire character arc just sooo beautifully

TWTWTWO has been a a masterclass in storytelling from the beginning. it brings together these three characters who are deeply and intrinsically connected to each other - but it quickly becomes apparent that one of them is aligned with a terrible imperial people. though, in the beginning, it's not definitive, or it's not clear. aabria fought valiantly for *nuance* for the citadel. which begged me to consider that maybe this place of raw power isn't so bad after all...?

but of course it is. it is no coincidence at all that this egregious act happens in the first arc, and is perpetuated by wizards. we soon learn that it is that bad, and worse, and the others were right all along to blame the citadel. suddenly, suvi herself is turning against her home, against everything she's been taught. with a little more light shed on it, the truth of the citadel is illuminated in bright, grisly detail.

and from there, the trenches are dug, deeper and deeper and deeper. eursulon and ame are fighting for freedom. the citadel is gunning for world domination. eursulon and ame are gaining in power by setting themselves to work and earning it. the citadel is trying to unlock a cheat code for unlimited magic.

spirits, mortals, and freedom. versus the wizards of the citadel.

and suvi is caught right in between.

suvi is Of The Citadel. but also, she is a true friend of ame and eursulon. which of course is what makes suvi unique. this connection to her friends is what opened her up to differing perspectives, enabling her to have a just little more objectivity of the citadel's aims.

this has always come with immense conflict, within the party, and within herself; trying to fit wayyy too many opinions and orders into one single person. these fifty-odd episodes have shown that it is impossible to reconcile home and family and tradition and law and friendship and love and power and magic and spirit all together as one.

we feel it stronger than ever as she returns to the citadel after twelve brooks. suvi is shown over and over just how deep and terrible the citadel's machinations are. and yet...this is her home. this is her family. this is everything (almost everything) she knows. the citadel is drilled into her.

suvi needed this revelation. this release.

suvi is not made up of only (1) the citadel and (2) her friends. suvi is her own fucking person. she has love and magic and a deep love of magic. she always has. it comes from her, and belongs to her only. we can finally see what suvi has been trying to show us all along. there is a heart to the citadel. because there is a heart to wizardry: the hearts of wizards who truely love the magic they learn.

the beauty of witches and wild ones has been obvious since the start, and now finally we can appreciate the pure beauty of wizard magic, of the interplay between the spirit and the real, the moment between waking and dreaming, the place where all beings and energy can touch. and not a moment too early or too late either, but exactly when suvi sees it for herself.

i love wizards. :)

biiiiiig sigh. ,,,, hi. this feels terribly awkward for me, so bare with me.

some of you might’ve known me as @/spcherryygirl or viridiana. i hadn’t quite intended to return so soon—or at least, not publicly—but it seems a few anons (plural? singular? lol i’m not sure) have been going around telling people that i'm back. i’m not angry,,,,, exactly, but i can’t pretend i’m not a little upset. not at anyone in particular. just this. it’s not that i don’t want to be moots again or that i’m hiding from people i genuinely care about. it’s just that i had hoped to keep things quiet for a bit.,, like baby steps( that's a horrible example, but pretend it isn't. ) but now that the 'asks' were sent, there is nothing i can do about it. oh, and to clear things up( bc i think it'll cause some confusion ): the reason i deactivated wasn’t because of my parents or because someone forced me to delete all of my socials. it was because of the anons. specifically, the ones who kept sending awful things to my inbox. i know others go through similar things, and my heart goes out to them. but that doesn’t mean i didn’t feel unsafe. i mean, would you feel okay when someone tells you that you should get ____ because that happened to a character with your name?

i’m sure some of you saw the post on my old blog about the asks. how the asks were so,,, yikes.( will show one ask under the cut. tw: ew-ie nonnies ) i don’t even like to name it. but god, it was disgusting. it started last month, it was kept going. three, five times a day. every single day( like, dude, how many accounts do you have? ). it got to the point where just opening tumblr made me feel sick. so i deactivated without goodbyes. which, i know, wasn’t fair to both my moots and followers. especially because i promised a 1k event. and i’m sorry for that. i had planned to return( publicly )when things felt okay again. i was always going to find my way back to my moots, just not like this. really, i was. especially because all of you are such sweethearts. patient and understanding enough even though i lied about my reason of leaving.

but i cannot undo what has been done. so, hi. bye.

It's always so hard for me to do this, but after deep consideration, I've decided to change my url on here. I've had jdmorganz for five years and while Jeffrey Dean Morgan is still probably my favorite person that I've met, I just feel like I want to test out this new username for a while. And of course, if things don't work out I can always change it back, but right now I'm smitten with Pedro Pascal and I just love his energy. So I was itching to try something new. I also changed my headers for both mobile & desktop, just to fit things better.

I've decided to start using #userdm if people would like to tag me in things, but I will still check the #jdmorganz tag still just in case.

i know a lot of people dont agree but as far as im concerned, shes always been a skelecog. she was built specifically for COGS inc pretty much as is

besides the radio head. that happened later, but still before they made moves into toontown. yes hes been a part of the company that long

has actual radio functions built into them. the intent is for him to be able to tap into existing radio broadcasts as a literal live advertisement. insidious!

i dont have many thoughts on this design because this is borderline "canon" winston. besides the eyelashes. which they should give him canonically.

no i havent figured out what the dagger is logically. its just a part of her ok

i guess i could talk about personality headcanons but i wont. yet. i need some content for other posts if i want to keep this blog alive

winston is in the dungeon for a LOOOONG time. im talking over 5 years baby. id make her more visually fucked up but i dont want to make details mcgee more complex to draw

if i was powerful id make more of her visually broken and those joint problems external in some way. thats for someone else to do though

several of her other not visible functions are long broken; plenty of her internal systems have long gone non-functional, including her radar, propellor, and ability to access some of her internal databanks (ie: memory)

her balance, visual and audio processors (sight/hearing) and control of her limbs fail occasionally too. her voicebox is broken (we know this) but it hasnt entirely failed.

system errors are effectively like an abscence seizure. BSOD for robots, basically

if im being realistic the whole glitching through walls shouldnt exist with how seriously im taking him. but it does anyway because i like fun

this idea has lived rent free in my head for years its about time i got round to this

anyway while shes in the dungeon they do just effectively get fired on paper after a while; so when they show their face back up for real, he does just get fired officially for reals

he ends up finding refuge with old friends; william and alton. im not getting into my awesome dynamics with them here but they were close before the dungeon happened

he gets semi-patched up by will, whos learned some level of self maintenance thanks to his horrible leaky suit. will isn't familiar with skelecog maintenance though, so he could only fix some of his simpler problems

besides the external patch-ups, shes managed to get some simpler system fixes from him, enough to at least help with the frequent system errors and the glitching problems. theyre both still present, but not as severe.

everything else is still a problem though. in fact, some of them have gotten worse, particularly with his arms and legs. theyre prone to fail on a moments notice, and she tends not to go far without some sort of mobility device after a while.

IN SUPER DENIAL ABOUT BEING FIRED. he takes up a bunch of hobbies to keep himself busy now they dont have a job and makes herself a scarf in bootleg sellbot colours so they can pretend. they have to go through an arc before getting over that sorry.

Why are you sending this to me, a person who 1) is not on twitter, 2) has no idea what incident you're talking about, 3) has never berated a single person for expressing discomfort with any ship as long as they stay in their tags, 4) has never purported to be the Zutara fandom police in any capacity, and 5) stays out of anti-ZK tags and generally minds their own business?

People are allowed to be uncomfortable with certain ships, including mine. I've never said otherwise, only argued against the idea that Zutara is inherently colonialist and racist. It's not okay to target individuals for what they ship, but I think most decent people know that 🤷🏻‍♀️
