Call it Baxterville cause none of them could think of a name, and lightbulb was like “lets name it after my crab :]”

i feel like ii’s drama/angst moments were downgraded by a long-shot between seasons 2 and 3.

season 2’s drama was practically merciless. i mean, suitcase had that whole arc with nickel, baseball, and balloon, afterlife in the limelight was simultaneously the best song in the entire show and a huge emotional sucker-punch, mephone’s backstory was just perfectly dark, taco literally fucking kills off multiple people, i’m probably forgetting a lot of other moments, but you get my point.

meanwhile season 3’s drama feels more like “woe is me =ówò= so shadddd…… T_T” than actually dark moments. sure, the whole “bow is a robot” twist caught me off guard, but that’s basically it. virtually every other emotional moment got no reaction out of me.

literally what went wrong here? how did ii go from punching me in the face without hesitation to lightly tapping my shoulder while looking away shyly in the matter of LESS THAN A YEAR? i swear on my life and ridiculous number of acne scars, if season 3’s finale doesn’t sharpen its angst to the point that could cut my balls off with it i will move every piece of furniture in my house two inches to the right /hj
