Re: your tags on the Renfield gif set -- YES it was good and a lot of fun! Campy and witty and paced very well and doesn't overstay its welcome. It was also almost *uncomfortably* honest in its portrayal of an abusive dynamic in a relationship. Don't get me wrong, the movie did it *well*, but it made me squirm. (It's also kind of over the top violent, but that's also in a very campy way.)

Sweet! I remember last year a brief bit of hype but I never got around to seeing it. I'm putting it on the to watch list

June 20th is a special day for me. When I was 23, I was lucky enough to be able to pack all my belongings and my cat inside a friend's car, and I moved to Washington state. It was also the day I met my partner @mercurialmalcontent (❤️) and some of my dearest friends in person for the first time.

It's a day I'm very grateful for, especially all this time later. No matter what's going on that year, I still marvel that something so marvelously life-changing and wonderful happened to me at all.

I'd never been on a road trip before. I'd never lived on my own before.

They saved my life.

One of the friends I met that day passed away recently.

Jesse was kind and hilarious and a brilliant writer. I'm indescribably lucky to have met him.

I don't have the words to describe how much I miss him.

@hot-flippin-mess tagged my first to post post 6 sentences of a WIP and tag 6 people!

He dreams that Appa turns into clouds which he drifts through. He dreams that he can command the earth, but the rocks keep backsassing him. He dreams that Momo is crowned the king of some strange, ancient people whose bones built up the ruins around him. He dreams of a grinning blue spirit that perches in their shadows above him, and when it speaks it sounds like Zuko. Then it is Zuko, wrapping around him so carefully, the shivering in Sokka's limbs finally stops and he could cry from the relief of it. He tries to speak only for frogs to crawl out of his mouth, so he hugs the apparition tighter and wishes he was holding the real Zuko. If he dreams any more after that, he doesn’t remember. Sokka wakes up cold, and unpleasantly damp with sweat and morning dew to a bug-eyed, panic-stricken Aang roughly shaking him. “Zhao got Zuko!”

something interesting about willy wonka experience scam is that some were tricked by ai art. goofballs loved to say ai 'art' will make EVERYONE professional artists but when you see an add with ai art your brain already thinks 'this is a fake company'. it already signals 'cheap'

what scoundrel techgoofs never seem to understand is that most successful art that buds like is not entirely about technique it is about taste, and you cannot fake taste. the ai art my look 'technically' proficient, but it also evokes 'scam' 'cheap' and 'things i block on twitter'

art is usually about EVOKING something, and skill of HOW to evoke these feelings is predicated on empathy, which these goofs often lack. will be interesting to see companies realize how much selling out human artists cheapens their brand on a VISCERAL level, where the true marketing lies

“Nooooooo.” Astarion put a hand on his cheek in shock.

Gale laugh as he poured a himself a cup of coffee, then started scooping in a generous amount of sugar. “In the halls of ethereal academia people speak much more plainly, provided you are well versed in the various specific lexicons. Outside of it, I tend to forget myself and take people at face value too often; apply too much of a literalist view to the words of others.”

“My dear, then I fear in the realm of conversations I am as dangerous to you as the sunlight is to me.” He clarified with a smirk, as he was really speaking mostly to amuse himself, “By that I mean why would I ever just say what I mean when there are so many other more colorful turns of phase?”

“I knew what you meant that time!” Gale shook the sugar spoon at him, before scooping in a bit more, then pouring in a generous amount of milk.

“You could just pour sugar into milk, Gale, it would be faster. No need for this coffee farce.”

“That is what I have told him, oh so many times, Mr. Astarion!”
