Mercury is so interesting to me cause I wouldn't necessarily consider him one of my faves while listing out my faves, but if anyone said he was a bad character I would immediately step up to defense

Every single member of the Jardin Sauvage is so iconic honestly. Maybe I'm biased, cuz I too hate the monarchy and the judicial system, but they were definately my favourite group. Obviously people have been praising Chance and Etienne, and there's nothing I can really add to that conversation, I mean, they're right, these two are awesome. But I think Mercury deserves some appriciation too, maybe his actions are questionable, but you can't say they aren't reasonable too, plus the speech he gives from the top of the Wailing Castle is literally THE most inspiring I've heared, it's the perfect balance of rage-fuelled and hopeful.

Yeah, Mercury is pretty interesting in the way that like. He made Rose give up [plot important item] because he doesn't trust her little mini group with it because he's seen how Radiance is clearly targeting her and he feels like it's more dangerous to leave it with her- but it's also incidents like that why Rose ultimately doesn't 100% trust them and consider herself one of them even though she works with them

I know the canon couple is Daisy x Cian but for me it makes so much more sense -and chaos- for Mercury to be thrown in the mix

I can't believe nobody is talking about Mercury yet! Like suuure he did a few morally questionable things, but he's incredibly charismatic and he is my son, how dare you all neglect him like this /lh

okay i know i don't have room to talk as an etienne fan and an isabeth defender, but *coughs into hand* I think threatening Lily to make Rose hand over [plot important item] a little more than "morally questionable"

Iconic and charismatic sure, but I think it's kind of an objectively bad thing that he did there (I know he has his reasons! I'm just SAYING let's love our horrible faves without downplaying their actions)
