God. Wouldn't it suck if the Doctor thought he was giving Rose a gift. Him. A him that could walk the slow path with her. Could give her a true family, true love without all the baggage of his existence, who could give her himself but didn't know that Rose was forever changed and couldn't live the slow life anymore with Tentoo because of Bad Wolf? What if he died and she stayed?

Wouldn't that be DEVASTATING?

I will never get over the fact that, in addition to being born (as Ten) from his renewed love for humanity instilled by Rose, and directly from the love he felt for Rose by dying for her on a kiss, making him a being overflowing with love for her and humanity, to the point of wanting to become human himself, stop traveling, settle down, and live all the experiences of human life specifically with Rose, although the Doctor essentially took over the Rose's accent by regenerating, like a chick emerging from the egg, that he has become a man capable of being domestic, but also more specifically that he is formatted into one of these "pretty boy" archetypes with which he has already seen her flirting with. Hence the fact that he is so fixated on the idea of ​​seeing what Rose thinks of his new body, and that the latter seems to please her enormously. Literally, he made himself for her in this 10th incarnation in every sense of the word, his identity revolves around her, and I find that great. Tentoo was just the final touch, allowing him to truly become human so they could be happy together.

As you may know already, Rose Tyler was born on the 27th of April, 1987. (Er. 1986? I'm not sure, and neither is Doctor Who itself.)

Can we, as chronic fans of a character who hasn't been on screen for almost fifteen years, let this day pass by without celebrating it??? Our girl turns 37 this year! (or 36, or 38, or maybe even 40+ because time runs differently in pete's world. sigh) ANYWAY what better way of celebrating this day than by giving her all our love via fan creations?

From the moment you see this terribly put-together post until the 28th of April, we will be holding a mini Rose Tyler Birthday Fest!

Same old rules...any medium goes! Fanart can be nsfw! For fic, there is absolutely no minimum word count, (seriously I'd love to see your headcanons, even), and there's no restriction on rating there, either. We will be accepting pre-canon and all three canon pairings from the show; nine, ten and tentoorose! The only* "rule", as such, is that you stick with the theme: Rose's birthday. And even that, you can interpret loosely! Tell us about multiple birthdays, or just one, or about the birthdays she spent without the Doctor and the ones she'll never have to spend without him again.
