Hello! Just wanted to stop by and say i live your work! And appreciate everything you are doing for us as a creator! You are lovely and tbh you fic is my favourite one it's so well written, thought through and nice, I am rereading it now! And it gets better everytime! Can we get some more fun facts? 👉👈❤️🌸 If you are up to do it ofcourse!
Love you
Thank you !
Remember to drink water!!
asfjshdksjsh thank youuu, that's a massive compliment😖🩷 i'm happy you're enjoying, and i hope early 2025 is going amazing for you!!
fun facts under the cut✂️
🫧 Sun is better than Moon at manoeuvring on land because he has more practice
🫧 the mention of whalefall in chapter 16 is foreshadowing for chapter 17 >:3
🫧 Sun and Moon are aware that Y/N is a human. however they lack the frame of reference to really get the specifics of humanity. as the Glamrocks are humanoid in shape, Sun assumes they're human too! while Moon is only vaguely aware that Y/N doesn't count the Glamrocks as human
🫧 BON-BON is thinking of caving in and playing video games with Monty sometime
🫧 baby mermaids hatch from eggs! :D
🫧 Moon sees better in the dark than Sun, and his eyes take longer to adjust to light. Sun thrives in the heat and light, but he's more susceptible to getting chilly
🫧 Y/N is going to blow a lot more money on building BON-BON's body than they're letting on
🫧 Sun has a bunch of hobbies that he wants to show Y/N, and he's very hopeful that he can rope them into participating. however, the sleek designs of the facility and everything in it has him worried that their standards are higher and that they might look down on his handmade crafts (that's a false assumption btw, don't worry😋)

Holy shit! @zmediaoutlet tagged me! Was it because my translation of her work ‘there will be better days’? I’m SO flattered, but I’m not that big of an author 😅Anyway, I can’t say no, so here it is, the fic questionnaire. Both my pseuds, enteselene and lostintranslation on Ao3, because it’d be so tiny otherwise.
1. How many works on AO3?
29
2. Total AO3 Word Count?
1,180,035
3. Top 5 fics by Kudos?
1. In The Woods, Somewhere; 2. Trapped in Amber; 3. Below the Wellspring; 4. Limbo; 5. Alguien que pudiste haber sido (Someone you might have been)
4. What fandoms do you write for?
Supernatural and Supernatural RPF, I sold my soul to those.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Always, no matter what kind of comment. Even an emoji makes my day.
6. Angstiest Ending?
On my angstiest fic so far, Requiem. It’s a main character death fic, so no surprise here.
7. Fic with the Happiest Ending?
Although I write dark fiction and horror, my endings are usually happy... or as happy as the story allows. While my choice may be debatable, I'm going to pick Smoke & Mirrors, because it's a season 3 fix-it with a twist that avoids all the pain that would follow on canon.
8. Do you get hate?
No so far! (fingers crossed) But I’m not a popular author. Hellers haven’t found me (yet).
9. Do you write smut?
I try (lol). It’s hard writing sex scenes in a language that it’s not your first. Translations are ever harder (pun intended)
10. Do you write crossovers?
No so far, but never say never.
11. Ever had a fic stolen?
Again, not popular enough to attract that kind of attention, and I do hope it stays that way.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, I am the translator.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
No so far, but I'm such a slow writer and so obsessive that I don't think anyone would be willing to put up with my shit.
14. All time favourite ship?
Wincest and J2. I read other ships, but only if the plot and writing are good. After all, fanfiction drew me in because I wanted to improve my English.
15. WIPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I wouldn't say that much, because I do want to finish it and in fact the last installment of the series has been rattling around in my head for a while. The Wellspring Verse.
16. Writing Strengths?
Tough question. I’ve been told that my writing is engaging and I make a good world building and a rich background. Some readers like my plots and layered mysteries, others my imaginary… I like it when people comment that reading my stories is like watching a movie, because I'm a very visual writer.
17. Writing Weaknesses?
LOL! Where do I start? The easy answer would be language, because I’m not a native English speaker, but that wouldn’t be true. What kills me is perfectionism. I can't write in one go, I have to go back and forth in my stories, tweaking details and touching up finished chapters when new aspects come up in the plot later on.
18. Thoughts on mixed language dialogue?
Oddly enough I haven't done it so far, but it would be fun to set a story in a Spanish-speaking country and watch my characters struggle as much as I do.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Supernatural is my first and only and all-consuming fandom. I don’t have space in my life for another one.
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
Below the Wellspring was my first fic and it will be always special to me for a lot of reasons. It was a challenge to write again after many years of dry dock and also in a foreign language. It was the first story that left the safety of my hard drive to go out into the world. From time to time I reread the comments there and I get all emotional over again.
Now I’m supposed to tag other people, right? Let's see: @amypond45 @friendofcarlotta @walkingaline @morganadw @need-more-meta @felisblanco @yoannspn
#writing meme#18 is really out of nowhere as a question#random bugbear of whoever put the list together?

20 questions for fanfiction writers
I saw this on my dash when @bygonesigh answered it and it looks like fun (hello, I enjoyed reading through your answers <3). So here are twenty answers from me that no one asked for :D
1) How many works do you have on AO3?
Okay let's see... 38. Wow. That sure is something, considering I only started writing last December.
2) What's your total AO3 word count?
97 572. More than I expected.
3) What are your top five fics by kudos?
I would like to make you blush, if I may (emmrook smut. I am not surprised)
I will rip the world apart for you (oh, I like this one, it's about Rook getting kidnapped by Venatori and Emmrich going ballistic)
Tell me I'm yours (emmrook smut again)
Let me show you how beautiful you are (yet more emmrook smut, there seems to be a theme here. Emmrich gets praised in this one and I actually liked it when I reread it just now, even though I'm usually too embarrassed to reread my own smut :D)
Patience, darling (and... more emmrook smut)
Okay this is funny cause I've written nine smut fics and four of them are in my top five. The readership is clear on where my qualities lie I suppose.
4) What fandoms do you write for?
Dragon Age. I have never written fanfic before Veilguard came out, but it just Gripped me and I had to start writing. And now I'm deep into my original fantasy story as well. This is all great fun.
5) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Of course I respond to comments, it gives me life. It's so great to be able to talk about the stories I write with others (which is why I make it a point to leave comments on everything I read in turn).
6) What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ooo. The one where I killed Emmrich dead. And Rook too. It's this one: I will be waiting with open arms. I made myself cry writing it. But it has a happy ending anyway, because I am literally incapable of a bad one. (They see each other in the afterlife again. Amd they were Old when they died. So there's that.)
7) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Wow, that's a tough one. All my fics end happily, so it depends, I guess. Possibly the emmrook wedding, if we're going by character happiness. It's When I see your light shine, I know I'm home. There are happy tears, so I guess it qualifies.
8) Do you get hate on fics?
No, happily. Though it boggles my mind that it's a thing people do. Like why would someone waste their time reading something they don't like and then go to the effort of telling the author that?
9) Do you write smut?
Yep. And I am terribly embarrassed about posting it every single fucking time. I wonder if that feeling ever goes away. But the fics seem to go over well, as established by the amount of kudos. So I guess I'm doing fine in that regard.
10) Do you write crossovers?
Not as of yet. But I had no clue I would be writing original fiction either, so... who knows what the future might bring.
11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I very much hope not.
12) Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of.
13) Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Nope. But who the hell knows what might happen. I certainly don't.
14) What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Hm. Tough one. Right now it's definitely emmrook, but adoribull will always hold a special place in my heart. I love those dorks.
15) What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Oh I will finish them all one day, it will just take a terribly long time. The one suffering the most right now is the emmrook honeymoon though, I have two chapters posted, two more half written and three more to go and I keep getting sidetracked.
16) What are your writing strengths?
Writing feels? I enjoy those. And I like writing dialogues, those are fun. And I have been told I can write a good panic attack.
17) What are your writing weaknesses?
Fucking sentence length my beloathed. I keep making my sentences the same length and rhythm and it reads so annoyingly clipped. Also I am unable to use the comma properly.
18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I would likely fuck it all the way up. It's enough to be writing in my my second language as it is, I keep wondering if I'm messing something up :D but so far so good, apparently. I don't mind reading dialogues in another language though.
19) First fandom you wrote for?
Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I have never been caught by such a need to create before and it's amazing.
20) Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
That is a very difficult question. Gotta go check them out... Kay I'm back and indecisive. But maybe I missed you, little brother, in which Rook's sister comes to yell at him for not letting her know he has a daughter. It's a very nice blend of funny and sweet and I actually made myself laugh and cry reading it just now.
Okay so this was fun and I am throwing no pressure tags at my darlings again. @lavender-tea-fling, @spinfins, @sorrowsfallallarpund, @mercars-musings, @redheadsramblings, @starfleetteddybear

Belated 2024 ao3 wrapped (that I actually typed up a couple days ago).
How many words have you written this year?
61,554! Over twice as many as I wrote in 2022, holy cow! (I don't have the tally for 2023.)
2. How many works did you publish this year?
16
3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
Might be recency bias, but I want to say "Forget Me Not." It was a real labor of love for me to write that long of a one-shot, and I'm happy with it start to finish :)
4. What work of yours has the most hits?
"and we'll have a spring wedding" with 7,240 hits. I'm a bit surprised because I thought it would be "Seeing Ghosts."
5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?
"Forget Me Not" got so many really really sweet comments from people who say they loved it T.T I didn't expect that kind of response.
6. Favorite title you used
"Ice Ice Baby" is so silly I have to love it. That's also the fic that took the longest for me to name lol
7. If you use song lyrics, which artist's songs did you pull from the most?
Only used three song lyrics and they were each from a different artist.
8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year?
Lulawlu
9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?
Also lulawlu. Hyperfixation go brrr.
10. What work was the quickest to write?
Hmm either "To Be Free" or "Have a Heart," which I think I wrote the bulk of in a sitting.
11. What work took you the longest to write?
"Ice Ice Baby" took me over two months which is a long time for me.
12. How many WIP's do you have in your docs for next year?
I have notes for Match My Freak and notes for my daemon AU.
13. What's your longest work of the year?
"Match My Freak" is at 12,771 words so far.
14. What's your shortest work of the year?
"To Be Free" at 810 words.
15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you?
"Match My Freak" because it will hopefully have another two or three chapters.
16. What's your most common "Additional Tags" tag?
Idk I don't think there was a ton of overlap.
17. Your favorite character to write this year?
Law. Love me a wet cat.
18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?
Luffy was tricky at first but I'm more comfortable writing him now. I wrote Doflamingo in one (1) scene and was sweatin' cuz I didn't want him to feel ooc.
19. What's one pairing you want to explore next year?
Idk really, we'll see where inspo takes me!
20. Which work of yours have you reread the most?
Naturally, I reread chunks of "Forget Me Not" and "Ice Ice Baby" just cuz of their length and how long it took to complete them.
21. How many kudos in total did you get this year?
Obviously I'm tallying these a little late but, including January thus far, 6,446 kudos :)
22. Which work has the most comments?
"Match My Freak" has 55 comment threads (multi-chapter privilege).
23. Did you do any collaborative works this year?
A number of my fics were based on pre-existing art, but I'm not sure that counts? "Forget Me Not" was a collab, though, because @sen-ya did art for the piece while I was writing it.
24. Did you write any gifts this year?
No, but there are a few I probably should've marked as gifts if I'd been thinking about it :x
25. Did you receive any gifts this year?
Second Wheel by disco_girl on my birthday :)
26. What's your most common category?
G then T
27. What do you listen to while writing?
(copy and pasting this answer) I can't really listen to music while writing. It's too distracting for me. But I like writing at coffee shops and stuff where there's background chatter.
28. Favorite work you wrote this year?
"Forget Me Not" but I really like "Hats Off" too!
29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?
I didn't sit with this question long but I like this bit from "Seeing Ghosts":
Sanji was used to watching his step this early in the morning, before the sun rose and properly dried the planks still slick with condensation, but even the black leg couldn’t get it right every time. On the fourth step, the heel of his dress shoe slips from underneath him, sliding past the edge and hitting air. Arms flailing, he tries to catch his balance, but the overcorrection makes his other foot lose purchase beneath him—he’s going down. He prepares to catch himself with the palm of a hand, expecting at worst a bruised tailbone, but before he lands, Sanji feels a violent tug at his collar. Someone’s grabbing his suit jacket from behind.
And this from "It Takes a Village":
He slipped out, feeling proud of his work. And just in time, too, as Law returned to the Polar Tang just minutes later. The sun had brought some color back to his face, but he still looked tired and vacant, discussing logistics only briefly with Bepo before making his way down the corridor.
When he opened the door to his room, Law stopped dead in his tracks, taking a second to recognize the bright, tidily done space as the sad mess he had left behind. It didn't even smell the same: spice and citrus and clean linens met his nose when he breathed. He scanned his room once, twice, noting the books all in their place, the cleared floor, the meticulously made bed. In a daze, he drifted to his desk and sat in front of the meal left for him.
The love he felt for his brothers—the love they evidently felt for him—washed over him like a hug.
He hid his face and cried.
30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?
Finding out that I CAN write longer fics, even if it doesn't always come easily to me. Also, all the wonderful people I've met in the One Piece fandom!

Holy shit I’m a week late to a new chapter how did i manage this
Oh my god i’m so hype
Holy shit
Cap
Omg
I fell behind on my thorough reread cause college, actually experiencing romance of a sort, choosing tattoos and all that so i sincerely apologise but you must know; as soon as i saw this new chapter i started writing this
Obviously, i can’t just jump into the new chapters i have to familiarise myself with the latest one so it’s a smooth transition. Not that i’ve forgotten shit, god knows i’ve read it too many times to do that, but i do this for all things with gaps between updates
Deary me i’ve missed your writing… instagram reels have been rotting my brain
Just a note; juleka saying “we’re very alike. I like that about you.” in chapter 74 is sooo… toxic yuri ladynoire my beloved is that you? I can hear it.
I always adore how juleka thinks in fights, especially when she recalls stuff someone has said like her mum
16 THOUSAND WORD CHAPTER?? OH MY GOD
HERE YE HERE YE BEWARE FOR SPOILERS OF PN CHAPTER 75 ARE BELOW READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
[— — —]
Ok word, timeline information, good to know, i think that makes them around 17 now? Anyway, what has hawky been up to over the summer to keep him so quiet? Certainly not using the time to bond with adrien i’m sure
Ah ofc, lila pov for the start of chameleon
Oh dear, lila’s mother doesn’t know she was akumatised? Is she vying for third place of worst parent after Gabriel and Audrey?
Bloody cunt, course lila’s not told her about being aroace.
Im curious about this conspiracy board… is it about gabriel or the heros
What attack on agreste?? You have piqued my interest over and over cap fabulous start to the chapter
“We will spread our wings and take flight into a changing future.” yeah ok mister butterfly metaphor, how does he make dad jokes about being a supervillain
Ah ofc, it’s about gabriel, i really must read that again to refresh but i remember the gist
Nooo, i really like how you’ve characterised lila in this and her shit always seems to be heartbreaking the poor we lamb
Ok the way you’re describing the transformation is incredibly chilling, i adore the line “her lips curled into his grin” blegh. Fantastically written.
It’s reminding me of the scene where the girl becomes enchantress in the first suicide squad movie, i love that scene.
—
Alright pov change to… caline? Very fun
Love the in world reason as why they’re in the same class, i just KNOW your ass couldn’t be bothered switching it up but needed a reason
CONFIRMATION ON CALINE AND ANARKA?? DAMN OK
I mean we knew but so much outright is very exciting, and a wonderful segue into discussing juleka
The workplace banter between caline and valerie is a joy to read, i think you’ve hit it perfectly where caline isn’t acting like a sugary teacher but also isn’t acting like a different person
Aww cute moment with sabrina and chloe
I always love seeing what other characters think of each other so this is a treat, Juleka would be totally miffed by how much they worry about her
Wait. you’re not telling me were going to get caline and Anarka in the same room are you? Hold up
Ruh roh
Intern with agreste? I beg that it’s paid for marinette but uh
Ruh roh
Especially with adrien and chloes reactions
Hey i nearly forgot about chameleon where is she lila? Pspspspsp
Adam making a return was not the comeback i expected, however detective Rena is a wonderful treat
OOO WAIT ARE WE GOING TO TREAT THIS LIKE A MURDER MYSTERY
I might be too hype for nothing but that would be so much fun
Ladybug just watching rena fuck about is cute
Rose and alix conversing? In MY panthera noir fic?? This is awesome
Rose and panthera have a crazy relationship… i like to think about it from rose’s perspective sometimes and like damn i’d be baffled and flattered too
I love alix. Ugh the way you go about her minute traits is just fantastic
WAIT
WHAT
THATS A CHOICE
OK GIRL I SEE WHAT YOU’RE DOING
Oh i feel like a fake fan for not knowing if panthera is chameleon or if juleka is after the first line. Panthera has to be chameleon right? Why would lila choose juleka?
OK SO IT’S PANTHERA TIME TO REREAD HER LINES
Oh i thought it was weird she winked, i was a bit happy cause playful panthera is always good but i also felt a bit weird about it cause it’d been so long
Ok i don’t think i would’ve noticed. I’m ashamed. Lila is a good actor tho? Nah that’s pity points. I shall live with my shame.
It is weird having panthera and juleka in the same room, alix. Very weird.
Rose is so cute about juleka fr, the way she behaves is so endearing
Oh i just love the direction you’ve taken this in
Oh ok black scary magic veins thats fun. Short end of the stick or what jesus, ladybug doesn’t get lasting effects. I don’t think? It’d be interesting if she couldn’t heal herself or something but i don’t think you’ve gone in that direction
Oh it is funny seeing lila flirt in pantheras body, girl you don’t know how to do this. Are we gonna get civilian juleka getting caught up in the mix again? That’s always fun
For me, no one else finds it fun
Good that luka keeps up his right as an older brother and annoys juleka with tiktoks
Wait
There are tiktok edits of panthera
There are probably tiktok edits of ladynoire
Wait this is the funniest thing ever, a more chill chapter or scene delving into their fanbase would be funny lmao
“Panthera what that tail do” is an atrocious cat call (dya see what i did there?)
OMG RENA GETS AN INTERVIEW
NVM JULEKA CALLING HERSELF A SLUT IS WAY FUNNIER HELLO? GIRL??
Someone in this freaky friday world must be getting major twilight zone vibes from seeing juleka and panthera next to each other. How does that not break the glamour.
Help juleka you can’t ask for a selfie from your clone transformed self that’s crazy
Juleka just being raging this whole time is wonderful
Oh ew i don’t like it as much anymore, girl paws off this is just weird to imagine
Ladybug is that jealousy?? Crazy move at this time
Ladybug has to know right? She’s seen how she’s acting weird and she just called her Noire. I don’t think she’s ever done that before
HA toxic ladynoire my beloved you’ve made a comeback
I love when juleka says shit she means to think like she ruminates so hard
Be crazy is ladybug found out juleka is panthera
She won’t it wouldn’t make sense
Or would it
I think I just want to know what would happen if that was uncovered. Anyway. The electricity has to be because of the magic right?
Omg marinete is so silly, calling her jules is a wild move she’s lucky she already knows like damn
That whole paragraph about wondering how to talk to LB when it’s one sided trust? Chefs kiss, muah, I adore it. I want them to interact outside the mask more so bad because it’s always weird as fuck when they do.
Like holy shit I love this chapter
EEEE their relationship is literally so much fun to read and see develop
She knows everything about her aww they’re so sweet
They should kiss
No they shouldn’t that cheating on rose but you get what i mean girl
Plagg just being out and about without anyone seeing nout is crazy
Why did i become dr seus
Alix is such a cheeky cunt i love her
Sorry got absorbed by the accusation, that was perfection Cap, i love it
Omg i forgot about the parent teacher conference. This is so funny. Ops on juleka walking in and finding them making out?
Och nvm but them drinking and going for it full tilt is the best i can get
Hey what happened
Why is lila in there oh we just skipped the fight? That sounds so bitchy I’m sorry, I was just a bit confused
Panthera picking lila up is so cute… the poor thing tho, man…
Caline is doing gods work i love her in this, fighting nathalie about adrien is bold but needed
Oh lila you poor we thing, man it’s just such a shame… its so heartbreaking seeing just how much lila loves the heroes and yet because of her fuckwit mother she cant seem to see how that connection is just as valid as a romantic one if that makes sense? Like you do have feelings towards people please lila i beg.
Ew gabriel
His attitude is just so offputting. Leave her alone! To like everyone in his life fr.
THIS WAS FANTASTIC CAP
PN is always a treat and this chapter was built amazingly <3
i'm sorry if this is less energetic than usual, the winter sickness has been hitting me.
GLAD YOU ENJOYED!!! Also- yeah- Sorry about the sudden fight skip. Both for skipping it and for not making it clear that it was skipped. Was burning out hard at the end and I couldnt figure out a way to just keep the fight going without staying interesting. Glad you enjoyed despite that.
Stay safe out there! Glad you enjoyed!

I was tagged by @drowninginredink and I finally got around to doing it!
1. How many works on AO3?
Combined? 35.
2. Total AO3 Word Count?
122,725... Damn I didn't even know that loll
3. Top 5 fics by Kudos
God this is kinda embarrassing but oh well.
Nigh In (YouTube RPF)
Hypnotism (Popee the Performer)
Little Dreams (Five Nights at Freddy's)
Here to Stay (YouTube RPF)
Primal Instincts (Popee the Performer)
3 outta 5 being x readers is very telling loll
4. What fandoms do you write for?
Um... Many. Most of my fics I feel are Popee the Performer but I've written for TXT, Yakuza and most recent my clown obsession so yeah all of those lol
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try my best to.
6. Angstiest Ending?
I think it might be Our Scintilla Bloomed because I don't know I love that ending so much but it also hurts. Popee dealing with the aftermath of sex pollen and getting sick over the fact that he just fucked his sister?? Yeah and it's also one of my personal faves!
7. Fic with the Happiest Ending?
Honestly at the moment? Thoughts Hanging Off Your Fingertips. It's a very sweet and soft fic that I'm very proud of because I was finally able to write about my kpop rarepair
8. Do you get hate?
Yes. A lot. Specifically on my Popee fics usually. And like understandable but like sometimes it's just like don't you guys have anything better to do?
9. Do you write smut?
YES. It's what I mainly write.
10. Do you write crossovers?
Um no, not really. They can be fun but it's just not something I'm into writing.
11. Ever had a fic stolen?
Um... I don't think so? I've let someone write my ideas but that's not stealing so no?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No but I wish. It's so cool to have someone take the time to translate your fic so others can understand it!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Um not really? I've taken rp and turned it into a fic but does that count?
14. All time favourite ship?
Oh wow... I have many many ships that I love but I guess one that I always come back to no matter what is wincest. So wincest
15. WIPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Yes I feel like many of my wips are just going to collect dust. Mostly because a lot of them require multiple chapters or be super long fics and I'm not good at either. But god are they good ideas 😭
16. Writing strengths?
I... Shit. I honestly don't know. I just enjoy it and people seem to like it lol. I guess I'm pretty good at dialogue and just tiny details. I can talk forever about small things I put in my fics that make my brain go brrr (like the paragraph of Popee getting sick in the sand after his mind is free from the sex pollen that I talked about earlier)
17. Writing Weaknesses?
I feel like a lot of my writing (especially smut) is repetitive. I try not to but when I reread my writing sometimes I'm just like "oh wow I do that a lot". Not terrible but I'm trying to expand my vocabulary.
18. Thoughts on mixed language dialogue?
Um... I think it's fine? I don't really know because I only speak one language (currently trying to change that) but I think it's cool sometimes.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Um... Bandom? Particularly Chevelle and Three Days Grace. I could post it if you want. Be warned it's a fic written by a 14 year old loll
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
Um honestly? Our Scintilla Bloomed. I love the concept and the way I executed it. I think it's actually one of the only docs that actually match the story I had in my head. Crazy how that works.
I tag @blackkmariah and just anybody who wants to do this! I'm sorry I'm late but it was a whole lotta fun and I honestly wanted to finish a fic I had been writing for awhile and I finally did so I finally did this!

I am re-creating the post to add:
I do not have Asks turned on due to receiving almost nothing but Scams, so if you can't PM me, feel free to use the comments here.
If not replying in the comments, please include the whole question!
questions for fic writers
a collection of questions i, as a writer, would love to be asked !!!
1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

20 Questions for Writers
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Fifty-nine!
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
1,027,291
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently just Law & Order (the original series & Criminal Intent), but since I started writing fanfiction in high school, I've written for Harry Potter, The Vampire Diaries/The Originals, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Silence of the Lambs, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd, The Walking Dead, Scrubs, and Sex and the City.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
My Beautiful Mess (Scrubs), JDox Drabbles (Scrubs), The Wedding Video (Scrubs), His Significant Annoyance (Scrubs), and Matters of the Heart (Scrubs)
5. Do you respond to comments?
Almost always, yes! The ones I'm least likely to respond to are ones that are super short, like just a word or two.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably My Heavy Meddle (Scrubs)? Oh, JK, it's totally My Letter to You (Scrubs).
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I'd say it's a toss-up between Have It All and My Leap of Faith.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I have in the past, just once I think, and it was someone being transphobic because I headcanon JD as trans.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Not only do I write smut, I would say I primarily write smut lol. I really enjoy both reading and writing smut and the vast majority of my fics feature it. I don't really know what "kinds" of smut there are. Smut is smut to me lmao
10. Do you write crossovers?
I don't. Any crossovers would be even more niche than the fandoms I write for (which are all nearly dead already).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of and I hope it never happens!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Also not that I'm aware of.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes and no. Not in the sense that another person and I have co-written on the same doc or switched off with chapters or anything, but several fics of mine are based off extensive headcanons/discussions with a friend.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
I think I probably have to give it to JDox. I haven't written for them in a few years, but I'll never count it out. The Scrubs brainrot is merely laying dormant right now. LoganStone and Ben x Perry and Elejah are all up there though!
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I'm never saying never, but I have an unpublished fic (which really is more original work than it is fic tbh) for Ben x Perry that's, I wanna say, around 80k words? It consumed me for years until I got into L&O and I like to think I'll get back to it someday.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I think I'm good at writing smut and dialogue as well as slowing scenes down and really getting descriptive/more poetic, but I have to really focus on doing so.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
It might sound weird bc I think my characterization is okay for the most part, but I also think that I have a tendency to make my characters speak the way I speak, which isn't always what I'm going for.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've never had cause to do it and while I might fare just slightly better in German than anything else, I would have to rely on Google Translate and/or someone who's fluent in whichever language.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter and yes, I'm ashamed.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Recency bias has me wanting to say Written in the Stars because it's my current endeavor (and well over 300k words long), but I'm also very proud of My Leap of Faith, A How-To Guide, and my JDox vampire!AU (and I have a third and final installment planned for someday). There are probably others I'd list, but I haven't reread them in a long time. Oh, and New Religion, just to list something that isn't Scrubs lol
no pressure tags (as always): @gaynfl @pedgito @matttheratking @ssahotchnerr @tonysopranosrobe @tijuanabiblestudies @ninzied @randomslasher @thuriweaver and anyone else who'd like to fill this out!
Anyway, I've had this list of questions saved in my drafts for almost a year and I felt like doing it finally. I didn't come up with the questions or anything, though! If you know who did, lmk so I can credit them!
#ramblings#tag game#writing#my writing#fanfiction#ao3#i tried to tag people i follow who i know write#but if you want to do this and i didn't tag you just say i did lmao

duuuude i just finished midnight rider and that was incredible!! 11 and 12 of the behind the scenes meme for that one???
also i reread sunday people for the umpteenth time (folks have already asked about house key so i'll ask my next fav) so 16 and 17 if you remembeR?
duuuude midnight rider, that's one of my all-time favorites! i reread it the other day and went damn girl you did this.
11. Was there a scene that you hadn't originally planned to include? Why did you decide to fit it in? i don't know that it's not that we didn't originally plan to include it, but the structuring of the last two chapters was completely different in the draft. the second-to-last chapter as it was published has [spoiler] aiming the gun at lucy and co. and then it ends. originally, i had the scene continue a little bit to another part of the dialogue but kay convinced me that a cliffhanger like that was a much better place to land it. and based on the reactions, well. she was right!
12. Was there a scene you wished you could have included? Why didn't it fit in? god, there is SO MUCH i wanted to include. especially more joey. i love joey. he might be one of my favorite characters ever and he's completely made up. but dragging things out was always a concern so i curbed some of my enthusiasm and tightened things up. but i'd love to go back and write more about joey. i think i've said this before, but imagine midnight rider-kacy visiting joey at his (legitimate) garage and joey putting them to work (lucy on those books she promised him she'd do and kate in the service bay watching him take apart an engine). i'd love it. who wants to write that???
and sunday people, the fever-fueled brain child. what a time.
16. What was the easiest scene to write? i had to skim it to remember, but i think the scene at the park where they're watching the play (but really watching that kid pick his nose). it just felt effortless because i feel like i've been in that moment myself, so i was really writing from a familiar place.
17. What was the hardest scene to write? definitely their big talk. i'm so bad at the beats of emotional moments--i either crank it too high or undersell too much. finding the beat of this was a challenge but i walked away from the wreckage feeling slightly satisfied with what i came up with.
ask away!

20 Q's for Fic Writers
Thank you @ghostofbambifanfiction for the tag! 💕
1. How many works do you have on A03? A shocking 76!
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 1,430,364
3. What fandoms do you write for? Harry Potter, the Marauders Era, exclusively Jily as far as pairings go. I used to write Gilmore Girls fanfiction when I was a very young teenager (between 12-15).
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? A Game of Thrones, Call It What You Want, It Only Takes A Taste, Lily in the Sky with Diamonds, Knocked Up By Me Ex.
5. Do you respond to comments? I try to as much as I can, but sometimes real life gets in the way or I just want to get the new chapter up and I want to write more than I want to reply to comments. Do know that I read every single one of them and that I love them and cherish them for eternity!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The angstiest ending? Pfft... I don't like angsty endings. I have angsty starts and middles, but I think endings should never be angsty. That's what canon is for in case of Jily.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Hmm... I think most of them have a happy ending (once they are complete). I like the way that Call It What You Want ended after all the drama.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really. I get the odd comment, but that's it.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do. More so recently. I definitely do not feel comfortable writing it just yet. I try to make it good, but I usually cringe when I reread what I have written and just hope that you think it's sexy. I get in my head about it.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Not crossovers so much, but I definitely have works inspired by other works, such as Lily in the Sky with Diamonds, Happy Place, 10 Things I Hate About You, etc.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of! Fingers crossed this is not ever going to happen!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I have received requests, but none that were actually published, I am sure. Someone once made a podfic of one of my works.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not really, but know that I am always open to it! @athenasparrow and I might work together at some point.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Jily. Until the very end.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I plan on finishing most. I have a schedule for finishing a couple of works this summer. But... yeah... I hope I can finish everything.
16. What are your writing strengths? Hmm... conveying emotions, I think? Maybe dialogue, too? I don't know. I would need to ask you, probably.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Hmm... perfectionism? I can really worry over the use of one word or the syntax of a phrase. I hate that, to be honest.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Why not?
19. First fandom you wrote for? Gilmore Girls, funnily enough, seeing as I was such a Harry Potter fan as a child and teenager first. But I very quickly switched to Jily and never left.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Oh, hmm... currently I think it's Call It What You Want. This may change! Hahahaha! I suppose I had never considered myself capable of writing anything so smutty.
Tagging @mppmaraudergirl and anyone else who would like to answer these!

Ao3 wrapped, @astralithium edition!
Covers:
Beyond the Final Frontier, chapters 16, 18, 19, & 24-27
your fate is mine
(practiced) ease
the only way to bring me down
pulse failure
two swords
rainbow
on second glance
nowhere to be
1. Final word count: 78,242. Most of it went to the most difficult chapters of Beyond I have ever written. Seriously. I complained so much over 19 and 24, but they turned out okay.
2. 8 works this year! Though admittedly, it weren’t for that spite induced writing coma last week, it would’ve been 4
3. Honestly? I’m most proud of nowhere to be. That had been kicking my butt since March, and then all of a sudden it just clicked, and I’m so happy it did
4. My most hit is Beyond. Not really a competition, though, considering it has 24 chapters compared to the usual 1-3.
5. bring me down got way more feedback than expected! I thought for sure it would fade into the background considering how nuts the tf fandom was in the wake of One’s release (and given the prevalence of the M*gop shippers)—but it did unexpectedly well, and I’m proud of it
6. practiced ease is my favorite title, because I feel like it tells the story before you even read it. Second is pulse failure, because it actually uses the knowledge I got working at the car wash
7. There wasn’t one specific artist I used for chapter titles, but bring me down, rainbow, and nowhere to be all got their titles from songs:
8. I only wrote for Mareach and Oplita this year—though since two swords was written three years ago, and because Beyond also features Mareach, I think I technically gotta give “most written” to Mareach.
9. Favorite ship I wrote for? I can’t pick—not only did both ships practically raise me, but I feel like they’re the same ship with two different endings. I can’t pick!
10. on second glance took the least amount of time. First line to posting took about three hours. (Unfortunately it was 2 am)
11. (Excluding Beyond because it’s still ongoing,) nowhere to be took the longest. I attempted to write it in March, but scrapped it until December. Second longest goes to bring me down at three months, third to your fate is mine with two and a half
12. At least two in the list for next year—but I’m sure inspiration for more will come to me sooner rather than later.
13. *gestures vaguely to Beyond* Long enough for ya?
14. Shortest is rainbow, by four words. Second shortest is, hilariously, on second glance
15. Beyond, my baby, will be coming with me into 2025—don’t get me wrong, I might complain, but I love that this fic is basically my brand as a writer.
16. “fluff without plot”—I’m getting very close to adding it to Beyond
17. TF One Elita was the easiest to write. I was shocked by how well I could step into her shoes
18. Hardest? Easily one little Miles Tails Prower. My god WHY is his voice so difficult to capture well
19. Shoot. I wanna write Luiaisy. I just have a hard time coming up with original ideas, ya know? Their fandom’s already so good at it
20. I thought bring me down would age poorly, so I keep rereading it expecting the quality to go down. I’m surprised by how it hasn’t yet.
21. Ao3 counts all of Beyond toward this year, even the parts I uploaded last year, so my total kudos for this year is 540. Ik that’s not accurate but I like the number
22. Again, you cant really compete with Beyond because it’s so big—just passed 100 comments—but I am amazed by how well bring me down has done in that regard—53!
23. No, but I’d like to collaborate with people next year! (I’m just shy)
24. …shoot, does bring me down count as a gift for Odette? Since it was technically her idea?
25. Nope!
26. Gen fic is my most common. Mostly I write what I wanted to read as a kid, I think
27. Beyond and bring me down have their own playlists. Usually, if I’m writing anything else, it’s because there’s a song stuck in my head, so I’ll listen to that
28. Honestly, I appreciate them all—but pulse failure was so niche, and I actually got to write it while inside my car wash, so that one’s got a special place in my heart.
29. Favorite passages are a tie between this bit from Beyond—

—and this one from bring me down

30. Honestly? What’s surprised me most is just how many friends I’d make doing this. Thank you guys for being here, and I hope you’ll all stick around.
Love y’all

20 Questions for Writers
Tagged by @atlas-affogato Thank you so much for the tag
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
10 (what really? It feels like there should be more, whoa)
2. What's your total ao3 word count?
310,441
3. What fandoms do you write for?
The JCA brain rot is so real, I've got pretty much everything else on hold, but I have completed and uncompleted fics for Star vs the Forces of Evil and some Owl House that are on indefinite hiatus because I really don't care for the series anymore.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Holding onto Dust - Completed Svtfoe multi chapter
Vicissitude - Indefinite Hiatus, toh fic multi-chapter
Enemy Mine - Uncompleted, indefinite hiatus svtfoe fic, that I might revisit some day multi chapter
Healing to the Hurt - Complete Doctor Who One Shot, I was planning a series of one shots connected to it, but lost inspiration for it
Be All my Sins Remembered - Indefinite Hiatus Toh Multi chapter based on an AU I was role playing
5. Do you respond to comments?
I'm really trying to get into the habit of this, even if it's just to say thank you. I used to only respond if people had question
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
90% of my fics don't have happy endings, even the ones that aren't finished are likely to end in angst. I feel like it would be a disservice to choose one with the angstiest ending.
Though, as a personal pick of the one that made me cry the most while writing, it's The Enemies of Fate. Please, do note that this is a svtfoe one shot featuring my OC that I wrote for myself for my birthday.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmmm, I guess it's too early to to say JCA ↺ since I am obviously nowhere near the ending and there will be plenty of pain between then and now, so I guess the most feel good fic is the Doctor Who one, but despite the angst, I think Holding onto Dust ends with a cute hopeful scene that satisfied my readers.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've been called evil (affectionate), but hmm, I don't think I've gotten legit hate since I started writing again. Had some hate comments on my ff.net days from high school but eh... tbh I got more love for it even then so even though I want to nuke my old ff.net account because I don't like most of my old stuff, I'm not going to
And I'm not sharing my old penname either
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Hm, so I've written love scenes, but calling it smut implies a level of raunchiness that I'm not sure I actually write.
10. Do you write crossovers?
No, I'm kind of becoming more disinterested in crossovers outside of a few jokes with Oddity
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don't think so? Back in my ff.net days, I would get people who asked to translate my fics into their native languages, and I occasionally saw people do it without permission but I was at least credited as the original author.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Haha, yes, I just answered this. I haven't had it happen since moving to A03, to my knowledge but it would be an honor. I've had comics drawn of fics, too.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Oddity and I have collabed in the past, she doesn't write fanfic any more but I consider her my co-pilot, I bounce my best ideas off of her.
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
Can't really say I have an all time favorite
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I mentioned it before, but Enemy Mine. I haven't touched the fandom in over a year, but if I ever get the svtfoe bug again, I would love to finish it
16. What are your writing strengths?
Pain. Scope, definitely, I have big ideas and I definitely have what it takes to make them a reality, no "I'm not good enough to write this" here. I also am really good at connecting my ideas with little bits of lore and setting up plot threads with big pay offs later (↺ fans get hype) and my fics defintely have reread value.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm told that I'm really good at writing fight scenes and action sequences, but no matter how many times in how many years people assure me that they are amazing, I do not believe this and cannot be convinced otherwise. Dialogue, too. If I get stuck on a project it's 80-95% because I don't know how to make the characters say what I want them to say
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I don't see a problem with it, as long as there is some effort into getting it right. I'll use online translators and cross check on sources to try to make sure what I'm writing is authentic for small snippets of dialog, but I'm always open to and encourage native speakers to correct me if there's a better way of saying it. However for long conversations, I like to use italics and distinguish that what's being said is not actually in English.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Posted online? Pirates of the Caribbean. Off the record, I turned in what was essentially Digimon fanfic with name swaps for grades when I was a child. I was told I was very creative.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Completed is definitely Holding onto Dust. I was pretty excited about where Vicissitude was going until I fell out of love with the fandom, but I'm still pretty proud of what I had written. But I cannot emphasize enough how excited I am for JCA ↺

Ask Meme!! 17, 21 (sunless space), 30, 39, 41, 49, 50!
17. What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?
I want to do a Lawlu AU inspired by the Dark Rise series where Luffy is Will and Law is James. It is VERY specific because not enough people have read Dark Rise, but I am obsessed.
21. If you wrote a “missing scene” in [insert fic], what would it be?
I think I'd do missing scenes set during the time that Law has been taken back by the family and is rebelling against them, only to be increasingly beaten down. There's so much time there to explore (and it would be a great chance for more Law whump 😂)
30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?
The most recent chapter of "Sunless Space" definitely qualifies! I had to stop partway through the scene because it was making me anxious, heh. But both finishing that and the absolutely incredible response that scene has gotten, it makes me want to push the boundaries even more.
39. Is any aspect of your writing process inspired by other writers or people? If so, who?
I will say that @betsib, riverofnara, @cosmicatta, @nimudae @katia-anyway and the others at the Truffyfest Discord are a huge support when I'm stuck on something. They're amazing at helping me get through blocks!
41. Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”
"The Thing That Remains" has some of my absolute favorite characterizations of Law and Luffy.
49. What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!
I have a few zine pieces in process that I can't talk about yet, but those will be coming soon.
I haven't started the next chapters of "Sunless Space" and "The Night Is Darkening Round Me," but those are coming.
The next thing I'm planning to write has the following summary: "Law wants it rough, wants it to hurt because it’s what he deserves after losing everything. Again. Luffy knows he needs something else."
50. Answer any question of your choice, or talk about anything you want to talk about!
I'm going to go with 16: What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?
I am absolutely obsessed with "Roll Like Thunder, Burn Like Stars," which is a Jessica Jones AU where Law is Jessica and Doffy is Kilgrave. I've reread it more times than I can count, but it hasn't been updated in 6 years 💔
Thanks for the ask!
Questions for fic writers

I'm 100% stealing this from @pagegirlintraining
AO3 wrapped (writer’s edition)
I had a long year, so I didn't get to write as much as I would have liked to, but we still got a ton done.
1. How many words have you written this year? 180,453 words.
2. How many works did you publish this year? Somehow the answer is eleven.
3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? Reckless Abandon. Hands down. It took so much time to plan and so much energy to write and I am so proud of it. I'm writing the ending of the first draft right now and I'm sad to leave it behind.
HOWEVER I also very much enjoyed The Last Time, which is my Nilcent fic. I think just in terms of quality, this is one of my most beautifully written fics.
4. What work of yours has the most hits? The fics I have with the most hits is Reckless Abandon, but I think that's because it's the only one from this year that had more than one chapter.
5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected? Dress Up As ! I wrote that in like 30 minutes while half asleep and then didn't edit it, so I didn't think anyone would read it at all lol. It's not my most popular fic by any means, but more people read it than I thought would.
6. Favorite title you used? Wilhelm's Frog Addiction because it's so ridiculous. It implies that Wilhelm needs a rehab for frogs, and I think that's great.
7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most? I used the title of The Last Time from a Taylor Swift song, but I think that was the only one.
8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year? Wilhelm/Simon Eriksson with 9 out of 11 fics being about them or containing them in some way. (damn thats an unfortunate statistic)
9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year? Obviously Wilmon. I feel like that's a given at this point.
10. What work was the quickest to write? Dress Up As... again, I wrote it in 30 minutes while half asleep💀
11. What work took you the longest to write? If we rule out the one that's multi-chapter for fairness sake, then the fic that took me the longest to write was probably Not Entirely Screwed (But Almost). But take that with a grain of salt.
12. How many WIPs do you have in your docs for next year? Two or three that I actually plan on finishing. I have others that are started, but I don't know if I have enough plot to actually get through them.
13. What’s your longest work of the year? Reckless Abandon, containing 123k of my 180k words this year 💀
14. What’s your shortest work of the year? A Fool Proof Guide - 507 words.
15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you? Finishing Reckless Abandon! One chapter to edit and an epilogue to finish writing, and then it's done. I just can't finish it in the two days I have left of the year 😭
16. What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag? Simon Eriksson Loves Wilhelm, followed by Wilhelm Loves Simon Eriksson
17. Your favorite character to write this year? I simply cannot answer this. My mind has been so consumed with Reckless Abandon and the switching POVs that I literally cannot choose one.
18. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year? I think I might like to write more of Felice's platonic pairings next year. I feel like I neglect her because I don't really ship her with anyone.
19. Which work of yours have you reread the most? The Thing In The Mirror. It's kind of a love letter to my grief, so sometimes I go back and read it when I'm feeling down.
20. How many kudos in total did you get this year? 2,754
21. Which work has the most comments? Reckless Abandon, but again, it's the only one with more than one chapter so that makes sense.
22. Did you do any collaborative works this year? Not this year! Maybe next year. Dani and I don't write "together" per se, but we do bounce a lot of ideas off each other, so if that counts then yes, but nothing plotted and written and posted together.
23. Did you write any gifts this year? I did! I wrote for YR Week, which wasn't a gift, but an event. And I wrote a Christmas gift for Nic!
24. Did you receive any gifts this year? Yes yes yes! A beautiful, perfect Christmas gift from @pagegirlintraining I enjoyed every word of it.
25. What’s your most common category? M/M
26. What do you listen to while writing? Not much, actually. I have the Reckless Abandon Playlist, but I only really used that when outlining.
27. Favorite work you wrote this year? For the sake of not repeating myself, out off the ones I haven't mentioned yet, Isn't That Your Thing? and Patience Is A Virtue are my favorite little crack fics.
28. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? Oh jesus, that's impossible. I don't think I can choose just one. I can give you one that makes me think "holy shit I can write" though:
This piece of work — the one staring Stella in the face — was a revolution made of oil paint.
29. Biggest surprise while writing this year? I can write smut. And people don't hate it somehow.
Thank y'all for a fun year. Can't wait to see what my brain does to torture us all in the next one.

As for my more in depth thoughts about Clayman's Revenge as a whole (as of chapter 18), putting below the cut due to including Tensura Light Novel spoilers (I'm not sure through which volume, I read through 20).
It is super fascinating to have two time looping people meet like this. It makes a lot of sense that the Hero (Chloe/Chronoa/Hinata at this point in time) is disturbed by something going differently - in this case, Orbic not being destroyed.
As a Clayman fan it does make me furious that her reaction is "oh? he saved the orcs? better go kick his ass-" fkjdsahf I do understand her concern though. We know as readers that the Orc Lord is a huge stepping stone for Rimuru, and without it, I wonder if he'll manage to get strong at all. I don't know that the Hero is aware of this though? Hinata might know about it but Chloe certainly does not. But Hinata wouldn't know the details I would imagine. In any case, it is definitely something the Hero would want to keep her eye on.
Interestingly Clayman doesn't know who she is. I think that's pretty telling - either he's not paying enough attention or she hasn't become known yet where we are in the timeline.
It's also wild that Clayman just tells her the truth. His reasoning is sound and he's in a tough spot. It works better than he knows it does, I bet, since she knows that's true. If he's paying attention, he should realize she knows about "the slime" too, and that should be quite sus to him. I'm not sure if he'll realize it though fkjdshfakja I know she threatened him to keep quiet but I do hope he tells Laplace at least. It would be good for his family to be aware of this.
He must have been so frightened afterwards though. He was toyed with and he knows it, and he thinks everyone was killed...but they're fine. Phew.
Let's talk about Ant! (it/it's pronouns yoooo)
I included this panel because it actually highlights 2 fascinating things - one, Ant is STRONG and 2 it's clear Ant can understand what's being said and feel complex emotions in response. Ant doesn't like how Yamza talks about it, so Ant kicks his ass. Clayman meanwhile is like hehe my Ant is cute and this is not a problem that it's beating Yamza up
Particularly from later LN, we know that insectors are strong. I do wonder if Clayman could even name Ant without dying. An Orc is one thing. An Ant? An Insector? That's another entirely. Especially since it's already so strong.
I don't really have a point here but the Ant alone has a lot of potential to change things.
Not to mention, chapter 17 as well, Raine has now been basically told to go watch/work under Clayman. I'm very curious to see how that plays out. He did kind of tell her to fuck off in 16 (I need to reread it esp now that we have official translation). She will be such a troublesome subordinate for him if she does end up working under him!
AND we love to see the Milim friendship - I'm hoping that even if Clayman does get Kondo'd (bitch) that Milim will see it and rescue him.
My last thought here is...how will Clayman awaken? It seems to be a key thing we're building towards so I suspect it will happen. But how, without character development integrity loss? He understands that souls are involved now. And that seems to be the only way, really. But it would be counter to his development so far to arrange a war and such...but Fuze is quite good at coming up with situations that result in awakenings without being a terrible person or as a result of being forced to defend oneself. Maybe someone will attack Clayman with an army and he'll have to defend. I don't think it will come only at the end of the manga though - I think he'll awaken before then and we'll get to see things shift with the other Demon Lords, and see him continue to get stronger.
Anyway, those are my thoughts at the moment!!! Feel free to share yours (politely and respectfully, no Clayman hate please) as well!
