Oppan 1 for 11, what a show

Final count: Out of the 11 episodes of Ossan no pantsu ga nandatte ii janai ka, I have cried watching 10 of them. Some of those were outright sobs. Most of them got me more than once, including this final episode. And I loved every minute. I put off writing this post because I didn't want to feel like it was really over!

This was a perfect finale, bringing together the relationships and lessons built over the course of the previous 10 episodes to culminate in an extremely satisfying showdown with Daichi's father, who was a fantastic final boss because he was so realistic. The things this man spewed were the worst kind of prejudice: based in reality and couched in concern for the person they were being said to, even while they were shortsighted, hurtful, and wrong-headed ways of thinking. But that kind of polite rhetoric is so difficult to counter in the moment. I like that everyone was ready to face an angry bigot, but not the wall of polite hate that he represented, and that it took time for everyone to regroup.

Kakeru speaking up with his new friends and telling Shizuka not to change her look for a guy was such a good sequence. He tries to speak up and is misunderstood; he later explains he likes her the way she is, and that's what motivated him to speak up. And how much do I love their friends preparing to support Shizuka by finding a different karaoke spot in case her confession fails?

I'm also so glad we came back to Moe and her concerns about her future, as well as Mika and her love for her job (and how it enables her fangirling). Everyone going through it at the same time was a good choice, and I love Makoto understanding what's wrong with each of them and supporting all of them through their realizations that they can't suppress or let go of the things that bring them joy just because adulthood tries to tell them they 'should'. Moe and Mika's determination for each of their passions was beautiful.

The conflict between Madoka and Daichi was also so well earned; there is a lot this couple will still need to work through, around their instincts to suppress their hurt in order to not influence one another. Daichi did that with Madoka around Madoka dragging his feet on coming out to his family, and then Madoka did the same to Daichi around Daichi not being willing to dismiss his father's concerns about their relationship. The way Daichi isolated and lost the will to fight back was also such a good rehash of themes in this show overall: When we're hurt by interacting with others, our instinct tends to be to withdraw, but it is only through interacting with others that we can heal and move past that hurt. I like that Makoto felt his withdrawal and it motivated him to stop it.

Furuike's party and speech was such a beautiful end to this character's arc with this team. Thank you @lurkingshan for typing out this whole speech so that I don't have to, because I need to remember it forever. Don't get used to yourself! And Furuike hearing that Shimura noticed his health, and came to the conclusion that she is a quality employee who should be promoted, was a beautiful moment.

Makoto noting that the Okita family is doing ok, but still deciding to rock the boat and help Daichi was such a beautiful expression of Daichi's place in his life now, and their importance to each other. And that inspiring Kakeru was also beautiful. I love the continued theme that when you nurture your individual relationships, all of your relationships improve as a result.

The Okita family showing up to this dinner in their themed clothing as armour really got to me. They are all wearing their hearts on their chests. And how much did I love Kakeru wearing the necklace his father won for him at the festival?!

Makoto's speech to Daichi's father was such a stellar moment for this character, reminding us why he went on this journey in the first place. Seeing the flashback to Makoto's first interaction with Daichi was such a good reminder of how far this character has come. What an incredible journey. Makoto finally understands that fitting into society and avoiding societal judgment is not the same thing as happiness, and that happiness is actually critical.

I'm obsessed with how Daichi spends most of that speech staring at Madoka as he realizes what Madoka has been not saying to him, and how much Madoka was trying to demonstrate care (though these two definitely need to work on their communication and stop holding back to protect one another in the future!). "If I change this about myself, I won't be me anymore" gave me legitimate shivers. Daichi as a character is such a gift.

Daichi's father being unable to accept everything, leaving the dinner, and not attending the wedding was satisfying and realistic. The point of this show is not that the world is perfect but that it's important we find a way to nurture our own happiness and the happiness of our loved ones in the world we have, by being kind to others and ourselves.

Tears Watch (I cried so many times this finale):

"Why are there so many obstacles to overcome if you're gay?"

I don't think I actually cried when Furuike gave his speech but it choked me up hard

Shizuka saying thank you to Kakeru got me; even though she was rejected, she was still happy she confessed as herself in the end

"Eventually I realized how many tears Daichi-kun must have shed to be able to laugh like that"

Daichi admitting to his mother that he really wanted his father to accept him and still has hope that he will, and she says she's not sure he ever will, but she'll always be on Daichi's side really got to me.

The nods between Daichi and Makoto after the dinner and at the wedding, and of course the ending montage made me cry

✍️ for Peri, Ada and Mika pls! (From the in-canon ask game, if you're still doing that)

✍️: Overall, how does the fandom treat you? Are you a beloved character, or hated? Are you popular, or a minor side character? Anything in between?

Ada: I don't think Ada would be that popular. I think fandom would like Hector and Maeve better, but she would have some loyal fans of whom she would be their poorest little meow-meow. I would consider her a second or third lead since the Maeve storyline seems to be b-plot. I also think Fandom would villainize her in a lot of Hector x Maeve fics.

Mika: Mika would be pretty popular and well loved. That being said so is Eddie and she would also be villainized in fic to make Steddie, HellCheer and x reader content. But like the HellCheer shippers Eddie and Mika would have a plethora of fic and content devoted to them.

Now I'm still working on Cori, so this might change: Cori starts out as a minor character in the second half of season one when she shows up in flashbacks then at Meat Cute, and ends up screwing Blaine in the bathroom. In season 2 she slowly starts to become a little more of a major player. I think she'd have a bunch of horny fans that would give her the anime babygirl treatment.

And I mean the dumbed down bimbo thing because she likes soft colors and is sexualy forward with what she wants. Thankfully there would be at least a few competent fangirls that would know how to write her.

While there are some Blaine x reader fics, there would be more Blaine x Cori ones. And tons of gifsets of them.

Succeed (flashback)

I add chips to the center—calling or raising, I don’t remember, but it leads into us revealing our hands, and I watch his cards flip over, and my heart sinks. A face card that elevates his hand above mine, and he pulls the pile close to him, but instead of taking my cards to redeal, he leans forward and taps mine. I lean back in my chair—it’s lesson time. 

“Just because you have a hand that could win doesn’t mean it will,” he says. “You can’t just be thinking about how you can succeed. Look at the cards that are out, think about my actions.”

“I don’t know your bluffs. You don’t have bluffs,” I insist, wanting to move on, wanting to win back the pile of chips he has in front of him. 

“Don’t consider bluffs,” he says. “Decoding my behavior is good, but you can’t rely on it. Think about the deck,” he taps the stock pile, “think about my cards,” he taps his upturned cards, “and think about the actions, how often I raise. Think about what I’ve done in the past. Think I just win out of luck?”

Fail

“Yes, I understand how a hostage negotiation works, Abigail,” Raymond snapped. He looked at Jodi again, but didn’t say anything for a second, like he was looking her over for injuries. I didn't know if he could tell her legs couldn’t move. It might be more obvious on me, but the ropes made it look more due to restraints. “Terran?” He said, his voice full of concern and no, don’t be concerned for me, I failed you and I was trying to get you out of this and now it’s my own fault I’m stuck here.

Purpose

She crossed her arms. “Find anything in Jodi’s dorm?”

Your brother. “No.”

“You know, I didn't think you were like, completely trustworthy after our talk. But I thought you’d at least play it for more than five seconds.”

I could not do this right now. I could not navigate Mika right now. I had to evade Zachary for long enough to save Raymond. I needed my gun— it was in my desk drawer. She’d gotten in the room enough to block it. I tried to reach around her— she didn't move. Stubbornly. 

She continued. “Like really, what purpose did that serve? You could’ve played your game, strung me along for a while, gotten me to really give you something.”

“Mika, move,” I said. 

She didn’t. “Why did you go in my room?”

There wasn’t much use in denying it and that would take way too much effort right then. “I needed something. And I need something now, move.”

Numb

(Okay. So I'm really surprised that I don't have "numb" given the following scene being part of something major happening. I could give you a scene with "number" but instead I'm giving this snippet that says everything but "numb")

And then, in an instant, it was gone.

My muscles stopped twitching, relaxing in the binds, and almost as soon as they did, it was as if my limbs weren’t there. When I’d flinched I’d closed my eyes, but now I opened them again. My limbs were still there, I could see them, but all awareness was gone. I couldn’t feel them. Not my arms, my hands, my legs, my feet. Not even my chest. Everything above was still here— I was moving my head, I could feel my heart racing through the skin of my face and the air being drawn through my nose and down my throat, the pain in my face from Mika’s punch still radiated, and the caffeine headache was going strong. But everything below it was gone.

Even lacking awareness of my limbs, I tried to move. Nothing, even when staring straight at my legs. The way I was tied I could hardly see much of my body, so I can’t say for sure my fingers and toes didn’t respond, but I doubted it.

Protect

She was, as much as she tried to assert herself as better, part of a world that, like Zachary had, saw love as the only excuse for resisting their authority, and killing anyone who threatened them. I wasn’t even that much better, as I’d be happy, in that moment, to take my gun from her belt and pull the trigger right on her chest if it meant Raymond would be safe. But Raymond was better than that, and that was why I protected him. Abigail would never understand that.

It was a secret that the two of you were dating because Kenyu is a popular model, and your parents do not allow you to date in high school.

In front of your friends, the two of you just appeared to be very good friends since you lived just next to each other.

One of the few people who knew you two were dating is his manager, who caught you sharing a kiss at the back gate and your best friend.

Like Kenyu, you are very popular in school, which means lots of guys confess to you on a daily basis, but you took none of them seriously.

Being the student council president and as the vice-captain of the Kendo club, Kenyu has very little time with you.

He does not like to admit that he is jealous even though he is pretty much all the time when you are surrounded by your admirers all the time.

But today, it was different. Today was the school’s annual sports event, where the student council helped put together this event, and since you were the president and also the umpire for the kendo matches, you were pretty much running around.

And, since you and your good guy friend, Shin was the umpire for the Kendo matches since he is the Kendo club captain.

Seeing you laugh and joking around with Shin, it just stirred something up in Kenyu.

For the whole sports day, he ignored you and even glared at you when you waved or smiled at him.

“Yu-chan, what’s wrong? You’ve been ignoring me the whole day and even glared at me! What did I do that made you so angry~?” You confront your boyfriend, after pulling him into the empty art classroom, the very same one that you confessed to him.

He looked away and you try to make eye contact with him.

But it doesn’t last long since he is weak to your eyes.

“I was getting jealous, okay?! You have been smiling and joking with Shin so openly! Not even caring about how your boyfriend would feel seeing that!” He burst out and you almost laughed out.

“But, he’s the captain of the Kendo club and we were the umpires for the kendo matches. Plus, Shin is a very good friend of mine, who happens to be dating Mika, my best friend.” You retorted back and loosely wrap your arms around his neck to bring him down to your height.

Kenyu was taken back by the revelation.

“So…oh…I’m sorry.” All he could do was apologised because he felt so embarrassed. His cheeks were flushed from embarrassment and he could not look you in the eye.

You peck his rosy cheeks and then a light kiss on his lips.

“Oh my gosh, all it took was Shin to joke with me and you confess to being jealous? Did you forget that I was going to sleepover at your place because our parents decided to ditch us for their vacation?”

He was busy being jealous that it totally slipped out of his mind.

“Right…, let’s go now. I can’t wait to cuddle with you. Also, you look absolutely adorable today.” He leans in and kisses your lips.

The two of you continue your little makeout session since not many people pass by this place, but a loud shriek made you two pull apart from each other.

“You…Oh my gosh!” It was one of Kenyu’s fangirls, who happens to be in the same art class as you.

Kenyu and looked at each other, then starts laughing.

Guess the cat’s out of the bag now.

Propaganda Under Cut

Han Sooyoung

han sooyoung is one of the main trio protagonists yet people constantly ignore her in order to ship the other two males despite the fact that they are all doomed by the narrative TOGETHER!!! fanon content is even worse because it either slaps a lesbian sticker onto her to shittily write her off in fanfic OR they make her so one dimensional its like a cardboard stand in. han sooyoung arguably has a more important/interesting dynamic with the main male protagonist yet everyone ignores her because they want their uwu gay babies IM SO SICK OF ORV FANS

Dokja and Joonghyuk are a very popular ship (rightfully so, i get it) but usually Sooyoung is seen as in the way of their relationship or not as valued as the other two even though her place in the story and relationship with the other characters is just as strong. Recently there was a post on twitter being rude about people who ship her and Joonghyuk (which is a super valid ship) and i saw a lot of hate that i believe just stems from her getting “in the way” of a yaoi ship. 

99% of that kind of symbolic fanart REFUSES. to acknowledge her existence man. even though she is part of the main TRIO man

Shinoa Hiiragi

The fandom hated her for getting in the way of Mika/Yuu (she had a crush on yuu). The rare times they didn’t hate her they made her into a fujoshi obsessed with shipping them which isn’t in character at all. In fact if you look at the owari no seraph specials she would ship yuu with kimizuki but no one even cares

One of my favorite characters ever forever and treated heinously by crazed fujoshis that hallucinated she was getting in the way of MikaYuu, which for the record she wasn’t! I mean even if she WAS getting between them it wouldn’t justify the crazy misogyny that got thrown at her but she had a ONE-SIDED CRUSH on Yuu. He didn’t even like her back. What was the issue, then? An unrequited crush is not going to prevent a relationship! Whatever I haven’t even told you about her. She’s Silly. She’s incredibly cunning and a great leader, in fact she is the leader of the anime’s main squad. She’s calculating. She’s a gossip and a prankster and a bit flirty and a bit mean-spirited and she presents herself in a Silly Goofy way, in part to cover up the amounts of angst in her backstory, like my girl has ISSUES. She even has an epic demon weapon that is better and cooler than most other demon weapons but if you ask any fangirl from way-back-when, she’s just a bitch and the personification of evil. and probably homophobic too, even though she has a girl rival-turned-friend which is the gayest trope out there. 

She seems to be the (male) protagonist's love interest and appears to be canonically in love with him, but he is not interested in her whatsoever, often brushing her off and dismissing her in favor of thinking about his found family instead. I don't necessarily ship him romantically with any other male character (i hc him as aroace) but by god the anime was extremely charged with homoromantic subtext in every corner. One of those "holding each other's faces in the opening, spends the entire first season pining and wishing to be reunited" types. The fandom ships her love interest with another male character to the extent that I started watching the show in the first place because i kept seeing ship posts of the main character with that other guy thought they were cute. And also i cannot fucking stand her personality and want to light her on fire. I think the rest of the fandom agrees with me but I'm honestly not sure. I'm also a gay man so i think you could argue that I, the submitter, could play the role of the "yaoi" terrorising her as well

Valkyrie x femreader

Summary:female reader that was mistaken for a male by the whole yumenosaki high but a certain unit group found out their gender.

•Mika and you have been very close together ever since you arrived. You both get along well. He's just so clingy towards you, not that you mind. He fangirls about you Infront of his Oshi-san.

•Seeing his unitmate soo interested in someone other than him, sparks the same interest as Mika have with you. So Shu requested Mika to introduce you to him.

•Of course Mika accepted it, who is he to deny his beloved oshi-san. As soon as Shu, sees you he too, fell in love with you. Who wouldn't, you are just soo cute with that stoic face of yours.

•Now you have both the members of Valkyrie wrapped around your finger. It was not a surprise when one day you were having lunch with Mika when he requested you to join the Valkyrie as an idol. He didn't even waited for your answer and just dragged you to Shu.

•Once Shu heard of Mika's genius idea, he couldn't hide his excitement. He even went as far as praising Mika. Mika probably stuff his pillow to his face and let out small giggles right before he went to bed because his Teach compliment him(someone help this man).

•So now you were in the arts and craft room with Shu and Mika, planning to take your measurements for your outfit. Shu begin measuring by using a measuring tape and as he continued, that's when he started to realized something. Your body is not that of a man but more of a woman. He obviously got nervous and Mika noticed it.

"What's wrong, Oshi-san?"

"Y-Y/N you aren't a female are you?" Shu was in fear that you would get offended by this question, but luckily you didn't or he might cry lmao.

"You just realized?🤨"

Shu was on the verge of fainting after hearing that. Mika had to support him while he himself was shock asf.

•Once Mika heard this, he remembers all the time when he was being so touchy and clingy, this made him flustered. They weren't aware of your real gender because of your flat body figure and your normal uniform(eichi gave you that to cause drama lol).

•Took Shu some time to recompose himself, he was hesitant to get back to work but slowly starts to continue after you asked whether this measuring process was still going on. A small blush dusted on his face as he wrap the measuring tape around your waist. Mika was just standing beside shu, writing down the measurements Shu told him as he tried to hide his blushing face.

•After both of them found out, they became more protective of you. They would hide you away from crowds especially other idols in yumenosaki high.

"My little kitten, would you like have lunch with me?" Said a certain classmate of Shu.

"non! They already planned on having lunch with me, only the best of arts such as myself are worthy to be near to them unlike you."

•Your real gender was probably revealed on the first live concert you did with the Valkyrie. The outfit, makeup, hair, and body figure gave it all. When you return to school, you can expect many eyes will be glued to you. Not something you enjoyed but Shu and Mika's protective nature drove their eyes away. You appreciate their efforts of giving you a comfortable environment, what can you do without them~~♥️♥️.

Whenever Y/N asks random questions, it send Kiyoomi into panic mode because he doesn’t know if she’s upset about something or genuinely curious. 

Suguru starts acting nice to Y/N when she’s pregnant because he’s afraid to stress her out. But, she gets more stressed because she thinks he’s up to something.

Mika finished her law degree and started working at a corporate firm, but hated it. She quit and opened up her own independent practice. 

Y/N finally gets her way and Kiyoomi agrees to move into a house. She had to compromise on having a volleyball net installed in the backyard. 

Y/N had no cravings during her pregnancy, but would pretend to see how quickly people would bring her food. 

Kiyoomi and Y/N’s son learned how to throw a ball before he could walk.

Synopsis: you got pissed at the boys so you decide to sleep on the couch and leave them alone to sleep on the bed.

a/n: hey guys! New characters here because I just watched the 2 episode special with fukorodani and nekoma. I finally met sly boi, suguru, and let me just say, he's a real cheat- anyways. Requests are open so without further ado, let's get on with it 💖❤❤

Toru oikawa

He loves you and his fans.

He might have crossed the line with one of his fans.

He flirted with a fangirl right in front of you.

You were angry and a bit sad.

Why would he do that?

Arguing with oikawa isn't that rare.

But usually, arguments don't last and you guys make up by dinner time.

But this time it was serious.

"toru, you can't tell me you didn't know I would get mad. You were literally about to pull her into a kiss."

"Why would I do that? I was just getting her flustered."

"But why would you do that in the first place?"

This went on for quite a while.

You can't tell me oikawa would keep his cool throughout that argument.

He got very defensive and yelled out at times.

You got tired, rubbing the bridge of your nose for the nth team that night.

"fine. Whatever toru." you said with a sigh.

Oikawa waited for you to blurt out your final words before bed, like 'go get your pillow and sleep on the couch.' or 'i'm just gonna call iwa-san.' but you blurted out something very different.

Something that surprised him.

"take the bed."

He stiffened and looked at you in shock.

"w-what?" he mumbled out in his confusion.

"you heard me." you simply said, going into your shared bedroom and took your pillow and an extra blanket.

Before you could turn back to the door, you felt warm and big hands wrap around your torso.

"I understand if you're still mad. But don't just tell me to stay and sleep on the bed for you to sleep on the couch," he said frantically, nuzzling into your shoulder.

You were watching the national game on tv and he invited both of you over.

He asked you to get some snacks in the kitchen. You obliged of course.

You come back and see him cuddling the other girl on the couch.

You almost dragged mika out of the apartment.

When she saw your glare, she immediately left.

He was angrier than you.

"what's wrong with hugging a friend huh?"

"Just because you're friends with your ex, doesn't mean you can cuddle with her in front of me!"

After a few minutes of fighting, you rolled your eyes and sighed.

"just go to sleep. You were starting to fall asleep in her arms anyway."

When he heard that, he entered the bedroom and started to grab his pillows so he could get situated on the couch.

But you just entered the room behind him and grabbed your pillow and silently push daisho onto the bed.

He was frozen for a moment before running out of the room, blocking your path back to the living room.

"why?! If you're angry, don't punish me by seeing you sleep on the couch."

You were about to just shove your way through but he took your pillow from you and threw it on the couch.

"I'll sleep on the couch. We'll just talk about this tomorrow." he just smiled at you.

"if you're pretending to be polite again, just please," you said, trying to push your way through him.

"I'm not pretending this time. I promise." he smiled before ushering you back to the bedroom.

Even though you're in a comfortable bed. You were still restless, thinking of the boy currently sleeping on the couch.

Eita semi

He looks stoic most of the time. Calm and collected.

But sometimes, his temper and competitiveness come out.

You guys were playing video games in your shared bedroom. You were winning without him going easy on you.

He was starting to grumble under his breath while he tries to kill you.

You started to tease him " aww semi, are you angry?"

When he lost again, he threw your controller onto the bed but it bounced off, dropping to the floor with a loud thud.

You picked it up, seeing the wires coming out of the plastic shell.

"eita! Why the hell did you do that?" you said angrily.

"well if you didn't taunt me like an idiot, I wouldn't have thrown the controller," he grumbled out angrily.

"so now it's my fault? It's a game eita. Are you at least gonna pay for it?"

"why would I? it was your fault anyway."

Though no one was raising their voice, you were starting to get drained.

"if you don't wanna pay for it, it's fine eita. It's been a long day. Let's just go to bed." you said. You see him lay down, making space for you.

You just took your pillow and went to the living room and started to settle on the couch.

After a few minutes of silence, you see a figure looming over you.

Semi just sighs and grumbles a 'sorry.' before sitting down at the foot of the couch.

You realized he was also brought his pillow.

You just smiled, scooting over for him to squeeze in.

He smiled back, laying down next to you, pulling you closer to his chest.

Even though it was very cramped, you wouldn't have it any other way.

Speaking of cryptids, Fukunaga and Shibayama are THE most true crime, mythology, and mystery obsessed fanatics on the team and often fanboy about it together 

Fukunaga’s obsession with moth man has gotten to an unhealthy stage

Kenma absolutely had a vampire phase and has read twilight. Only Kuroo knows and has sworn to secrecy via blood pact

Kuroo’s a musical nerd. Knows all of the lyrics to Hamilton, BMC, DEH, Heathers, Rent, Beetlejuice, Etc. Kenma considered dropping him because of it

Iwaizumi tells the worst dad jokes and Kyotani, wanting to beat him, started doing it too and it drives everyone insane

Yahaba and Matsukawa get along surprisingly well. Both are true crime freaks and bond over their forensic files obsessions

Matsukawa didn’t really like his thick eyebrows so he got one of his female friends to pluck it for him, but almost cried and gave up after the first hair. Oikawa called him a pussy for the next year

Hanamaki jokingly flirts with everyone on the team so most of them just got used to it, but it still confuses Kindaichi to the point of mental breakdown

Makki called Kyotani ‘puppy’ as a joke once and now mad dog is truly terrified of him

Kyotani’s dog absolutely ADORES Oikawa and it’s the funniest shit to the rest of the team

Mattsun and Makki play DnD and once convinced Yahaba and Kyotani to join. Kyotani kept rolling to fight everyone and Yahaba was a bard that kept rolling to seduce everyone. They kept yelling across the board so they had to kick them out

Outside of his school uniform, Goshiki specifically wears only plaid

Tendou makes little chocolates for the whole team every once in a while so they don’t think he’s scary

Semi and Shirabu once had a fistfight in an abandoned McDonald’s parking lot while Tendou filmed and Goshiki cheered them on

Everybody makes fun of Shirabu’s haircut but nobody dares to say it to his face. its gotten to the point where they say he got it done by a blind old lady

There’s a running joke about Shirabu also getting his haircut from prison but Goshiki is starting to suspect that it may not be a joke

Lev isn't a strong swimmer, so he often grabs people by the head to keep himself up. happened with kenma and lev couldn't walk due to the force of kenmas suprised water kicks

Mattsun and Maki run a fake oikawa account; its been going ever since twitter even started getting popular and they even started sending messages in spanish. The posts would range from "I love all my fans!" to flirting with them :) Oikawa is pissed cause the account got verified before he did and most of his fans also follow the fake oikawa. Tooru has no idea who runs it JUST IMAGINE OIKAWA JUST LIKE RANTING TO THE SEIJOH 3RD YEAR ALUMNI AND JUST "no Iwa-chan, you dont understand! they run a fake account and pretend to be me!" while makki and mattsun laugh their asses off

Oh, kenma for sure has pretended to be a girl on discord and has gotten someone to buy him stuff. after they do he says in his normal voice "fucking simp" and then hangs up and blocks the other persons discord

Yamamoto, despite his rough appearance, loves kids and has and will be a human jungle gym

Me rambling about S3 and being an emotional mess

Okay, I have feelings and I need to talk about them. This is not a constructive analysis or anything this is just me talking about SOME of my favorite clips from season 3 of Skam France because it's the end and i'm emotional.

I knew this season would be awesome from the second I saw the trailer.It was genius and I still watch it sometimes because wow.I love that we saw the I saw you the first day of school scene. I love that we were all fooled into believing it was Lucas. Because he's the main and i also think because of the clothes, that's something Isak could wear. But little did we know they were making their own thing.

"T'es pas comme les autres" + adding to this the minute par minute talk

Skam is a very emotional show, with very emotional scenes but I didn't cry cry as much as everyone did. And it's okay obviously. I teared up, thought I was going to die because of the pain, internally sobbed during the whole season. (For me it's 50/50 or I cry a LOT or I just can't because I just have too many emotions and my body is just dying, but it doesn't diminish the pain oh no) But the only two times where I really really really cried were during T'es pas comme les autres and the minute par minute talk. For mpm, I was expecting it. This is my favorite quote of the Skam universe, I use it everyday and it really helped me dealing with mental illness. I knew hearing it in my native language would wreck me. I was tearing up during the whole clip but I just bursted into tears when Lucas said it.

But I was not expecting the "T'es pas comme les autres" clip. I remember watching it, sobbing, thinking what the hell is happening to me. It's a mixture of Lucille's speech, the piano music (i tear up everytime i listen to it) and the images of Eliott. this.was.too.much.for.me. But I love this clip with all of my heart, and I cry as much everytime I rewatch it but I love it.

The piano scene

This scene. This freaking scene. It's unique,it's beautiful, it's a masterpiece. I have a thing with piano, it always gets me emotional and it's my favorite instrument, and I listen to piano music every day.But.this. this was incredible. And it's a scene nobody expected and wow it had so much impact. I can't find the words about how much I love this scene. And I won't ever be able to forget the T'es Suprenant. I remember not being able to sleep after this scene because I couldn't get over it.

Intervention

This is one of my favorite clip. First the acting, Axel how how how? I also love how it's as much as a sad clip as an hopeful one. Yes, it's sad but Mika and Manon are here for Lucas, he finally has support, and it's the clip where things are changing , Lucas starts accepting himself in the next clip and it's beautiful. And also some things that were said in this clip hit me so strongly and I think about them everyday.

Viens on en parle pas

god. Manon coming to Lucas? Her crying ? Him conforting her? And then when he started to cry my heart broke. This was powerful and I'm so glad this clip exists.

Also I didn't talk about Le premier, Combien de Lucas dans l'Univers, the painting/fucking, french o helga natt,not because I don't love them, because I freaking do, they're in my top 10,or even 5 clips (especially combien de lucas, if I did a top 3 it would be here with the piano scene and T'es pas comme les autres (this clip did something to me okay?) and the parallel universe talk with the music behind always get me so so so so emotional and tearing up) but because I've already talk so much about them and said pretty much everything I wanted to say.

Special mentions to Eliott following Lucas on instagram. So many of the instas udpdates are pure gold, so so so many, but I don't think I freaked out more in my entire life than the day Eliott followed Lucas. I literaly went home walking because I had too many feelings and needed to calm down.

-I love Pecholand too, it's so funny to rewatch because ahhh we knew it. Also just Lucas's voice when he's changing the subject from Eliott to something else. Everytime I watch it, I have this feeling, you know, when someone or something is brought up and you start panicking a little inside and you try to stay calm and like nothing is affecting but you're still trying to change the subject. It's a very specific feeling and he NAILED it, the tone of his voice is exactly exactly this.

-Emma and her lava lamp. Emma, my love. I see so much of me and my friends in Emma, and the more we have the more I love her. She just seems so real to me.

I'm a really nostalgic person and I hate endings, and even if it's also a beginning because you bet i'm gonna follow S4 with the same energy ( I was already so hyped just by seeing Imane at the end of the last clip) , it's the end of Lucas pov and I will forever miss him. And seeing everybody in the tag saying goodbye and thank you to our boy ahhhh. Watching this season was an unique experience and it was so special. But i can't believe this is over. This morning i was listening to music when Remember attacked me without my consent and i started full on sobbing. The whole day i felt almost sick because i knew it was the end, in my last class i was really really feeling bad i couldn't do anything. But after the clip i was sad but also so much happy. I'm so thankful for this season and for Lucas's story.

(Also after the last clip, i was sitting on the ground in the train watching the landscape through the windows as the sun was setting, thinking about everything ,poetic cinema right there)

This afternoon I was like I should be less dramatic. But fuck it, I like being 300% invested in this. Being inside a fandom is my favorite thing.

Legally Mikasa, the end of an era

Legally Mikasa, Ell Emm (LM), that cracky legally blonde/attack on titan au from hell, simultaneously the longest, and the worst fanfiction I have ever written, the hate comment magnet, the ship baiter, the slowest of burns, the butcher of character development, is in its final chapter, and I feel ridiculously sappy about it. This fic has been there, I'm serious. It's been out in the world since December 2017, and has been with me far longer. LM has been around since I was fresh out of therapy from my first self harm relapse, from the summer I checked out as many volumes of Attack on Titan from the library as I could and read them for hours (with the Legally Blonde OBC in the background, I was young and in love with Christian Borle, still am). LM has been around since I rediscovered shipping and what it felt like to understand fictional characters better than real people. LM has been around since I started shipping Jeankasa, for God's sake. Legally Mikasa is what got me writing again, what got me living again, if we're being honest, because who the hell am I if I'm not constantly replying to the same old "jean is an asshole, she should end up with e/r/e/n" comment? (on that note, jean cares about mika more than eren ever could, fight me). LM got me back into fan culture, LM not only got me on ao3, but got me friends on there too (shoutout to my 23 thousand hits). Most of this experience, the past year and a half, if I'm honest, has been completely terrible, but that's ok. It's not about hate comments or deleting my Tumblr (and making another one ten minutes later) or wanting to quit, it's about how at one point, in my horribly depressing life, I loved both a 6.3/10 star movie and a manga about cannibal giants enough that I combined the two together, broke every writing rule in the book, and had a fabulous time doing it, working on LM has been some of my happiest memories these past few months. I've written the end of LM and I plan on posting the last few chapters in between the 4th and the 10th (from one national holiday to another, my birthday, as I like to think). Anyways while I'm emo about Legally Mikasa ending, I know I can't get rid of it that easily. Jean and Mikasa will still be in love every day after (even if Isayama makes e/r/e/m/i/k/a canon and kills Jean like we all are scared be will), and I'll still be writing about it. God knows I'll still be getting e/r/e/m/i/k/a and r/i/v/a/m/i/k/a shippers knocking on my door when I'm an old hag, telling me that Jean sucks (to that I say, I know, and Mikasa and I love him for it).

I’m going to talk about other people ocs I’m excited for/want to read because I know I’m behind and there are so many stories I want to read.

1. Mika in @whindsor‘s fic Silver and Honey. Honestly I’ve wanted to read this story for some time, but I’m always super intimidated when it comes to reading long fics because I feel obligated to review every chapter and it’s hard to keep up when people update so damn quick! Anyway I love Mika and I’m super looking forward to diving right into that story.

2. Violet Hargreeves by @atomicgracy like LISTEN I don’t rave about this girl’s stuff enough, but I’m extremely keen to see what she has in store for Violet because she’s a very compelling character that I wanna know more about.

3. Bird by @twofacedharveydent, I started on this amazing series a while ago and somewhere along the line I just fell behind, but I do love the character that she’s created and the story, so I’m super keen to get back onto this story and catch up on Bird’s journey.

4. Hattie by @huntsthemoon, Heather creates some amazing ocs and as a Peaky Blinders fangirl, I am SO here for Hattie and her story, because I don’t know much about her but I already know we are in for a complex, well-rounded character with a unique story.

5. Syrius by @moirei because we’ve already come up with some absolutely adorable Syrius/Delylah headcanons, and also Syrius seems like such an awesome character I mean a REYNE like I’m so here for him.

My ocs:

1. Shaera Targaryen. She’s a very intimidating oc to write in that she’s a contender for the throne, and of course she’s Aegon’s twin sister. I have so much angst and pain planned for her, but also a lot of good stuff, and the DRAGONS omg. I’m very excited for her journey.

2. Ophelia Stane. I honestly love her journey from a villain to a hero. It takes some time and she learns to let go of some toxic behaviours. She very much becomes a better person, and I’m here for the badass she is and the family she develops with Steve, as well as her protective big sis mode with her little brother Cassio.

3. Phoenix Black. I really wanted her to be the “typical” pureblood. I see so many that are different and that’s cool, but I wanted her to be very much what you imagine a pureblood snob to be. Only she develops her own perspective and learns just how bad what’s happening is. Again there’s a lot of angst and trauma in her young life, but she and Remus are endgame and just so adorable.

4. Remy Saunders. She’s such a bitch initially and very much based off mean girls I went to high school with, but she’s also a vulnerable person and she learns to apologise for the things she’s done. It takes a while for people to like and trust her, but she does overcome some of her flaws and strives to be a better person.

5. Sylvie Maroni. Talk about a cinnamon roll. She just wants to protect kids and teenagers and stop them making the same mistakes that she did. She might be a vigilante, but her heart is definitely in the right place. She’s an absolute softie.

Fun Facts:

Y/N was such a bad manager that one time she was on a different team’s court for a full set before realizing that none of her teammates were there. 

Kiyoomi hates driving because all he can think about is how many ways he could crash.

Suguru was hoping to run into Kuroo at the Qualifiers match, but he hasn’t seen him around lately and texting him will make it seem like he misses him.

Mika’s grown to like volleyball so much that sometimes she’ll sneak to a game without Suguru. 

Nohebi goes on to qualify for Spring Nationals and makes it all the way to the semi-finals, placing third in Japan.

One time Y/N fell asleep during one of his college matches and Kiyoomi never lets her forget it.
