like. nobody actually died. and junko would probably think that killing off the puppet that killed monokuma was an equivalent exchange. good bit, good fun, reset to center, no more puppets as people, the joke ran its route, good on everyone!

282. Minimaru Kareshi, Vol. 8 - unlicensed - To be honest, this series has felt like it's been spinning its wheels for the past couple volumes. This volume adds another unneeded wrinkle in the shape of the ML's insufferably inconsiderate ex-girlfriend.

The one character i think i actually dislike in danganronpa is nekomaru, as he gets put on a bus for a whole chapter, just talks about shiiiiiit, and becomes a entire humanoid chekhov's gun of convenient murder mystery mechanisms for chapter 4. might as well have been minimaru from the start

might have been a side effect of the fact his and fuyuhiko's character and roles switched up a bunch in development

Well, first and foremost, happy 2025!

I know it's only been a few hours or even a day into the new year, but hope it's been treating y'all nice.

Anyways, starting off with new art, here's the first character on the DR Calendar that ages up today: the Ultimate Orange Juice Taster- okay no. XD

Also yeah, that's a robot Chiaki in the same format as Minimaru in DR2. Some people in the fandom already mentioned a concept like that, of recovering Chiaki's AI after many attempts and inserting on a tiny robot to carry her along. So here's what (most likely) Kazuichi gifted Hajime: A Nanamini, or Minanami. :3

I kinda think Kirumi and Kazuichi would have a good dynamic; or at the very least, they'd have a lot to talk about.

Kazuichi (arguably) has the most useful talent in his entire class. Anytime something needs fixing, he's the one everyone turns to. He can whip up gadgets in a pinch, too, as seen by his two-way cameras and Minimaru. Yet despite this, Kazuichi is the butt of his peer's jokes. I doubt any one of his peers considers him an actual threat in the killing game, or would mourn him if he's suddenly found dead. He's underappreciated by his classmates.

On the other hand, Kirumi receives plenty of praise for the work she does. She fixes plenty of things, cleans much more and prepares enough meals for everyone on her own. And though she's respected for it, nobody seems to acknowledge that mayhaps Kirumi shouldering every household task and putting everyone before herself is unhealthy. Kirumi is appreciated by those around her, but that doesn't change the fact they're getting a bit too dependant on her.

If they were to meet, Kazuichi would initially envy Kirumi for the praise she receives, but rather than reflect on her own situation, she'd reaffirm Kazuichi much like she does in their DRS interaction. From there, Kaz would definitely do something for her specifically. It's the least he could do, in his eyes.

Btw not that this was necessary to be lovable or worthy of survivor status, but Kazuichi did something great in EVERY chapter of SDR2:

Intro: Stand there and look pretty (she tried to find a way out, but with no engines she couldnt do anything the airplanes)

1. Fix the power outage

2. Tie up Nagito

3. Walkie-talkies so they could talk to the sickies and not get sickies themselves

4. Fix elevator AND repair Nekomaru.

5. Make Minimaru

6. "Hey! I'll never forget you guys, or the others! You guys better remember me, too! My name is...Kazuichi Soda!"

Conclusion: She survived the horrors and looked cute as hell doing it. Im gonna go hug her and tell her how awesome she is.

Do the characters know about stuff that happened after their deaths? Like, does Mondo know his best bro went absolutely nuts? Has Nekomaru seen the little minimaru made out of his body?

all the class' fun adventures were livestreamed, so a lot of the students probably checked out the footage or watched live against their better judgement.

(To Nekomaru) Do you mind if Kazuichi builds one or more Minimaru's? For context, Kazuichi made a miniature version of your mecha form in order to cheer up Akane after your death in the simulation, which proved to be quite effective.
