Moog Minimoog Voyager is a modern reissue of the classic Minimoog Model D, designed by Bob Moog. It’s a monophonic analog synthesizer known for its warm, fat bass and expressive lead sounds. The Voyager adds MIDI, patch memory, and more modulation options to the vintage design.

Used in:

Daft Punk – "Voyager" (from Discovery, 2001)

While not confirmed, the lead synth lines are likely shaped by Minimoog-style synthesis. Daft Punk often used analog synths like Moog in Discovery.

Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) – "The Hand That Feeds" (from With Teeth, 2005)

The aggressive synth bass and leads often involve Moog gear, especially the Voyager.

Air – "Venus" (from Talkie Walkie, 2004)

The Voyager was used for smooth analog textures and melodic bass.

Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater) – Live performances and studio work

He uses the Voyager extensively for solos and layered leads.

SynthTV: Uma Odisseia ao Elo Perdido

Falar de síntese sonora comigo é como acender um fogo que nunca apaga. Desde sempre, sou fascinado pela construção de timbres, pelo funcionamento dos sintetizadores e pelas infinitas possibilidades sonoras que eles oferecem. É um universo que mistura técnica, criatividade e um toque de magia.

Minha Jornada na Síntese

Há mais de meio século, o lendário Minimoog Model D remodelou o som da música moderna. Este sintetizador incorporou vários circuitos originalmente feitos para a síntese modular e tornou possível levar aos palcos e aos estúdios uma versão compacta dos grandes sistemas de síntese dos anos 60 e 70. Tudo começou em 2009, quando mergulhei de cabeça nesse mundo. De lá para cá, o aprendizado virou rotina: síntese sonora, fundamentos de áudio, engenharia de som, produção de música eletrônica, mixagem — a lista só cresce. Foi nessa busca que encontrei o SynthTV, ainda no formato SynthTV.com, um blog simples que se tornaria o ponto de partida para essa odisseia.

SynthTV.com: O Começo de Tudo

O blog SynthTV.com era um tesouro escondido. Tinha um visual básico: fundo branco, título sem logo e um menu enxuto. Trazia uma thread de vídeos sobre síntese sonora, instrumentos, módulos DIY e experimentações caseiras com Arduino e chips.

Eu me divertia assistindo totais nerds tocando um medley de hip-hop no Stylophone Beatbox ou criando jam sessions caóticas com controladoras cheias de botões de fliperama enviando sinais MIDI.

Entre 2009 e 2015, o blog foi um playground sonoro. Não sei quem o administrava — talvez um nerd genial ou um louco excêntrico —, mas suas postagens, ora brilhantes, ora indecifráveis, plantaram uma semente em mim.

Quando o site foi desativado em 2015, e o domínio .com acabou em leilão na GoDaddy por um valor exorbitante, ficou um vazio. O SynthTV original virou história.

Da lacuna à Inspiração

Por anos, aquele hiato me incomodou. Na época do blog original, eu era mais ingênuo e achava o máximo as jams com teclados, drum machines improvisadas e equipamentos experimentais feitos em garagens. Mas o interesse por síntese só aumentava, e uma ideia começou a martelar na minha cabeça: “Por que não resgatar isso do meu jeito?”. Em outubro de 2024, decidi agir.

SynthTV.net: O Renascimento

Depois de meses planejando, registrei o SynthTV.net e escolhi o Tumblr como plataforma, por sua praticidade e familiaridade.

Mantive a essência do original: uma linha do tempo de vídeos sobre síntese, agora com minha curadoria. Criei categorias iniciais — Gears, History, Tutoriais e Jam Sessions — e me lancei ao desafio de atualizar o blog com conteúdo relevante.

A Curadoria: Do Caos à Ordem

Onde encontrar os vídeos? Comecei pesquisando em blogs como Synthtopia e GearNews, mas o verdadeiro ouro estava no YouTube. Entre milhares de canais — de influenciadores a fabricantes —, há um mar de tutoriais, jams, reviews de gears e demonstrações de síntese modular.

Os primeiros 100 vídeos foram escolhidos minuciosamente. A partir daí, refinei o método: pesquiso por temas específicos da minha pauta e também acompanho as atualizações dos canais que sigo.

Hoje, em março de 2025, o SynthTV.net já ultrapassa 800 postagens. As categorias evoluíram para Gears, Sessions, Eurorack, History, Software e Concerts, refletindo a diversidade desse universo.

O que mais me marca ao contar essa história é lembrar como construí o novo blog do zero. Adequei o template do Tumblr com ajustes em HTML e passei uma tarde desenhando a logo à mão — letras quadradas que depois ganharam vida no Illustrator.

Subi os primeiros 15 vídeos com escolhas criativas, traçando o caminho do blog. Vieram histórias marcantes sobre empresas icônicas e gears lendários, ampliando meu próprio conhecimento sobre síntese.
