I love this show and it means a lot to me,
and I feel disappointed and a little bit misled tbh by the choices they have made-
These are two thoughts that can coexist btw
#911 lone star#911 lone star season 5#like im not an idiot#okay i am but that’s not what this is#i was not expecting 20 minutes of emotional conversation#but bare minimum Tarlos is NOT a peck on the cheek with no actual dialogue#in the entire episode#bare minimum Tarlos used to be they would talk about things and it wouldn’t take that long#like this episode in context- this is like in season 3 is TK woke from the coma and the next scene was the 126 is going to be knocked down-#and we learn TK and Carlos moved in together form talking- we didn’t get the welcome home TK scene#this is like if in season two after TK stormed out after the farmers market- we never got the scene where he comes back#we see him storm out and the next episode they’re fine with nothing in between#this like is if the police station scene never happened - cause why do we need to see them talk about things?#TK storms out of Carlos’s place and the next we see they’re at darts-#cause we didn’t need any of that emotional bonding stuff right??#this is most like in season two when we see things get physical becuase Gabriel arrested Owen and no one knows why#and the next we see TK is coming home and we never saw them talk about it#although I would still argue this one is worse#look I’m not talking for anyone but myself here-#but the reason I know this should have been more is because those are the standards this show has set#these characters needed to have that talk-#in particular Carlos has gone through so much seemingly alone the last twenty four hours -#there’s no reason we shouldn’t have seen them have that talk#like forget the fandom for a minute- these make believe characters deserved a better conclusion to this arc than this#tarlos#carlos reyes#tk strand#okay im done#court dismissed - bring in the dancing lobsters

of course i can't sleep and have pronouns...
#my alarm goes off in two hours. got a flight to catch#OH WELL#maybe it'll help me go to bed at a reasonable time tomorrow when im the land of eternal daylight#my flights won't be long enough for anything more than short naps#and there's only two of them which is nice#in the past if i wanted to travel north the trip would require a minimum of four airports#if i could take the train i would but the railway doesn't go further than bodø#i did take boat once#i didn't pay for a cabin so i slept on a couch in the café#and then had to wait for the early morning bus in hammerfest where i was the only passenger and the driver spoke to me the whole trip#so i suppose lack of good sleep is only traditional

Stem majors who are like omg I WISH I had ur assignments I love art. Maybe it’s just that tests are like fine to me but like. trade me please please please please please please I want to study in a dorm for a few hours and then go take a test in a room for just a few hours that has to be over at a certain time. Please I want to see a multiple choice answer so bad right now. Free response even. Anything. Please. Please.
#art classes so stressful I would kill to take a chem exam and I’m not even joking#they are hard don’t get me wrong but you don’t have to stop studying completely to eat a snack#and you can do it in your room with a blanket#and the test only takes a specific amount of time so you can’t accidentally pull multiple all nighters to finish#and after its done you’re done! no talking about the test at a wall for four hours (minimum)#different kinds of difficult and I really need a fucking break from the way art is difficult#yapping tag

shout out to that horrible endocrinologist i waited a year and a half to see who told me the reason i gained 100lbs in under 2 years w no diet/activity changes was actually bc i got depressed and ate too much. and stuck to it when i told him actually when im depressed my appetite disappears and then told me to try and get on ozempic (just before it became a huge thing) bc it suppresses appetite or whatever. the thing i just told him my brain does to me natural style. thanks for nothing 🙌
#ALSO told him i had the appetite suppressing side effect with effexor and that i dropped from 140lbs to 120lbs when i was in high school#and that it actually really sucked 😭 and he was like well. it won’t be that bad.#u don’t know anything about me!!!!!!!!! i’m still mad at him honestly#GOS I ALSO HAD TO DRIVE FOUR HOURS ROUND TRIP MINIMUM TO SEE HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE 😭😭😭

absolutely fucking incredible how on days when I teach, I make myself a completely doable and really quite short to-do list that I should be able to complete, no problem... and then I never manage to finish it, because I'm just completely drained.
also very fun this semester how I start the week with teaching, and then right away Tuesday have to be ready for my biotech class, which requires finishing the stupid long homework before the start. No time at all to recover from the teaching stuff.
#grad school#hate this class with the force of a thousand suns#should not have to spend a minimum of 2-3 hours daily including weekends working on this class#not when it's a three credit class#in contrast I spend maybe four hours a week working on my other 3-credit class

#personal#us politics#conversations about how if im going to be doing the job of the on call who is doing the job of the ~shift lead~#then id like to be fucking paid for it thanks#or since im already doing this job i have some terms and conditions#bc i KNOW you thought i would apply for it#and if i take it my shift will then be open. something that will likely take three months MINIMUM to fill.#which means ill still havve to work those hours. but then you want this position in earlier#cool so i will add two hours to the front of my shift and go to four 10s#you have weekend supervisors they will be fine#also id like to get backpaid for the three months i was doing the work of 2 people#i dont get paid to train people!!! theres literally a pay category for training!!!#but yall mfers dont train people correctly or at all#so i can either have incompetent cowokers who dont actually help#or i can do something im not paid to do and in fact other people ARE paid to do#so i know the people im working with can be autonomous

i went a while without using my steam deck very much and the battery died a couple times just from it being in sleep mode and now it doesn't hold the charge for very long :( like ran out of battery just from playing cassette beasts for 2 hours
#i know that draining the battery is bad for it but i wasn't doing it on purpose#and i didnt think it was THIS bad#buenos dias short people#maybe cassette beasts just uses more cpu than i thought? like minimum i thought i should be getting four hours on battery
