Short Stories Update!

Folks, the new Short Stories page is up and running!

Short Story Reader

Please send a huge thanks to the Tumblr Staff for their speedy handling of this! I really wasn't expecting things to be settled so quickly.

Basics on how to use the reader:

When opening the reader, you should be greeted by this screen:

Fill in the various text boxes and button options for your MC, then scroll down to the bottom and press the 'Confirm' button.

All these options can be adjusted without having to refresh the page by clicking the 'Change Preferences' button. You'll be able to click this once you've filled in the form for the first time.

Once that's all done you're asked to select a short story to read. You can find the list (currently of one) here:

Story picked, you'll be given a brief note from me on the context of the story, then be given another dropdown list over in the main section in which you select the individual RO's story. This list's contents will vary depending on the MC's 'Romantic Interests'.

For some of the RO's stories, there will be an additional option to better define your MC. These secondary customisations will only 'stick' for as long as you have that particular RO's story open. If you read someone else's then come back, you will have to choose again.

Over on the left, under the 'Story Selection' dropdown list, you'll find a button 'Character Details'. This, when pressed, gives you a brief summary of your MC and the Child character.

That about covers it. Hope you all have fun reading and exploring different options. The variations aren't too dramatic this time round as I was mostly concerned with getting everything up and running, but there's plenty of scope for future hijinks.

Let me know if you come across any issues or bugs.

For Mobile users, if the display is a bit squished, try viewing it in landscape for now. Making the mobile variation more user-friendly is on my to-do list.

i think my biggest wish for a pillars of eternity 3 [aside from . wishing it to happen . ahem] is that they improve on sidekicks just a little bit if they decide to do them again ., and by that i mean like - giving them likes , dislikes , reputations w others , bcus i know they Have that tab but im not seeing any ups or downs w them and any of the other companions . i think giving them i guess mini companion quests would be sweet too !
