Summary: Thor and Raiden battle to see who's the better God of Thunder until they come to an understanding.

Thor stood at the edge of a mountain peak, Mjölnir in hand, his golden hair whipping in the wind as lightning crackled across the sky. He was sent here by Heimdall’s vision, a disturbance in the realms that threatened both Asgard and Midgard. Thor had fought many foes—gods, monsters, and men—but this energy felt different, ancient, powerful, and somehow… familiar.

As he scanned the horizon, a bolt of lightning struck a nearby peak, but it wasn’t his own. From the electric storm emerged a figure draped in white robes, eyes glowing with blue energy, and a conical hat shielding his face from the storm’s fury. It was Raiden, the God of Thunder from Earthrealm.

Thor raised an eyebrow and gripped Mjölnir tighter. “I don’t know who you are, but I sense power in you. And yet, you stand where you do not belong.”

Raiden’s eyes flashed, his voice calm but echoing with authority. “I am Raiden, protector of Earthrealm. I have come here because your presence disturbs the balance of realms.”

Thor smirked, the arrogance of an Asgardian god seeping through. “The balance? I am Thor, son of Odin. I protect not just Earth, but the Nine Realms themselves. If anyone’s balance is threatened, it is not mine.”

Raiden’s face remained stoic, though the clouds above grew darker. “You speak of protection, but your arrival here has caused the elements to rage. This place—these storms—are not yours to control. The realms must remain in harmony.”

Without another word, Thor hurled Mjölnir toward Raiden, lightning trailing behind it in a brilliant arc. Raiden raised his hand, and with a crack of thunder, disappeared into a bolt of lightning, reappearing just before Mjölnir could strike.

“I have faced gods before,” Raiden said as he summoned lightning of his own, sending a surge of electricity toward Thor.

Thor caught the bolt on his hammer, absorbing the energy with ease. He grinned, impressed. “I like your spirit, Raiden. But let’s see if you can handle this!”

With a mighty leap, Thor launched himself into the air, Mjölnir raised high. The sky itself seemed to split as lightning cascaded down toward Raiden. But Raiden was unfazed. With a gesture, the storm turned, the winds bending to his will. Lightning coiled around him like a serpent, and in a flash, he shot up to meet Thor mid-air, fists charged with divine power.

Their clash was cataclysmic. The air around them shimmered as energy from both gods collided, shaking the very foundation of the realm. Each strike of Mjölnir was met by Raiden’s mastery over lightning, their powers mirroring each other in an explosive display.

For a moment, they were evenly matched—thunder and lightning warring in the skies, each god testing the other’s strength. But Raiden’s calm precision clashed with Thor’s raw fury. A well-placed strike from Raiden sent Thor crashing to the ground, but the Asgardian rose swiftly, his smile wider than before.

“You fight well, Earthrealmer,” Thor said, dusting himself off. “But it will take more than that to bring down the God of Thunder.”

Raiden landed gracefully, the storm calming slightly as he spoke. “This battle is unnecessary, Thor. We are not enemies. The realms need both of us—together, we can restore balance.”

Thor hesitated, his grip on Mjölnir loosening. The truth in Raiden’s words rang in his mind. They were not enemies—merely two forces of nature that had crossed paths.

After a long moment, Thor nodded. “Very well, Raiden. Let us end this battle.”

Raiden extended his hand, and after a brief pause, Thor clasped it firmly. The storm above began to ease, the skies clearing as the two gods came to an understanding.

“Together, then,” Raiden said, his voice calm once more.

“Together,” Thor agreed, his eyes gleaming with newfound respect.

And so, the gods of thunder stood side by side, their powers united, ready to face whatever greater threat lay ahead.

I’m thinking that even though they’re an avatar, they can’t see the monster cause of the Mist, and try to help the reader thinking they’re being attacked by some random robber or something like that. But the reader (being a child of Hecate) can control the Mist at their whim, so they reveal the monster to Marc/Steven and they defeat the monster together. They acquaint themselves with one another, and this can ultimately lead to other oneshots/ideas connecting to this one where the reader and Marc/Steven learn about their respective worlds and gods/goddesses

“Great. Just great.” You muttered to yourself, ducking as a dumpster was thrown at your head, narrowly missing you, “This is just what I needed today. It just tops off the perfect day I’ve been having.”

You didn’t care that you probably looked crazy to onlooking mortals, talking to yourself and randomly dodging objects that didn’t appear to be there. But they could judge you all they wanted, cause you had a hard day, and you didn’t necessarily want to die.

As the monster let out a terrible roar, you just rolled your eyes, “Yeah, yeah. Whatever.”

The manticore sprung forward from its hind legs, claws outstretched and eyes ablaze with rage.

What the creature didn’t know, was that you weren’t standing there at all, you were actually on the other side of it, trying to figure out how you could kill the thing.

But you had used a simple spell to make it appear as if you were standing where the manticore could see you, it was simply an illusion, though, so as soon as it touched the fake you, it would disappear.

Which is exactly what happened, and the manticore let out a scream of rage, whirling around and narrowing it’s horrible eyes at the sight of you.

Turning your own eyes upwards towards the sky, you let out a silent prayer to your mother, Hecate, asking for strength, after the tiring day, to do what you had to.

Then, without warning, you dove to the side, sending the beast head first into the brick wall behind you.

The earth began shaking at the collision, and you had to spread your arms out to keep from falling flat on your face.

Just as it’s head whipped around back in your direction, a voice from above made both of you halt.

“What the-“

Your heads snapped up so fast that one would have been surprised that neither one of you had gotten whiplash.

There, standing under the brightness of the moon and the stars, was London's very own vigilante, Moon Knight himself.

His head was angled down at you, and you could only wonder what he was seeing through the mist. And by the defensive posture he had, it was nothing good. That much was for sure.

The manticore seemed to quickly lose interest in the white cladded man, and turned its attention back to you, letting out a sharp puff of air before once again charging at you with full speed.

In a half-a-second decision, you waved your hand and the mist disappeared from the eyes of the rising superhero.

Normally, you would never use your magic for something like that. Doing it to mortals could have devastating effects. But it’s not like you had been living under a rock. You had seen the news. You knew that Moon Knight was one of the good guys and that you could trust him.

For a whole second he just stood there, back straightening as he took in the whole new world that he saw. But then he sprung into action with as little warning as you had given moments before.

With his legs outstretched, he lept off of the nearby building's roof and hit the creature dead center with his deadly looking boots.

Its head flew to the side as it let out another earth shattering roar, and it stumbled a bit, giving you all the time you needed to place your palms together quickly and squeeze your eyes shut.

When they snapped back open, they were glowing an eerie purple and about forty long spears appeared in midair surrounding you.

Without wasting another second, you thrust your hands out in front of you and the weapons were thrown at an impossible speed towards the beast, lodging themselves into his side and every other piece of flesh they could find.

Not another sound came out of it as it’s eyes immediately rolled into the back of its head and it fell to the ground with a loud ‘thump’.

Your arms dropped back to your side and you felt your magic slowly seep out of your body, taking your purple irises with them and returning back to their normal color.

Moon Knight was standing a few yards away from you, staring at the dead manticore without the slightest movement in his body.

“What… was that.” He finally spoke, his voice gruffer then you would have expected.

“That was a manticore.” You said casually, sliding your hands into your pocket as you leaned against the wall.

Finally, he looked to your direction and you could almost feel him blink a couple times before he said, “Like from Greek mythology?”

You let out something between a laugh and a scoff, “Believe me, it’s about as mythical as that Khonshu of yours is.”

“There’s… there’s other gods?” Realization dawned on him faster than you would have expected.

You nodded your head.

“And you’re, what? An avatar?”

A full blown laugh escaped you this time, causing you to put your arms around your stomach as you doubled over slightly, “Nah, avatars are your thing.” You snickered slightly, “I’m a demigod, daughter of Hecate to be precise.”

“Daughter of a goddess?” The confusion only increased in his tone.

You let out another laugh, throwing your head back and walking over to the man, patting him on the shoulder before striding away.

“There’s a lot we should talk about.” You called over your shoulder, continuing down the street.

There was a second of silence- of hesitation- but then the sound of footsteps following after you reached your ears and you smiled slightly.

A random crossover idea i've had for a while now where Anya just keeps getting into situations where she decides to help heroes without revealing the fact she can read minds (kinda like how she does it in the series)

Is the day mk fuckin died. It started with the cash grab crossover, then the dlc guest characters, and now this convoluted inconsistent assassination of characters.

sin\del (was supposed to be manipulated by dark magiks from q=uan chi. Was never fuckin evil and never killed jerrod bc SH/AO KAH/N DID AND THATS SCREWING HIS CHARACTER OVER TOO all for some mommy dommy milf fantasy which is absolutely from a "hetcis man's" gaze dont fool yourself)

ku\ng la\o (turned him into a second banana cocky type and just keep killing him for shock value when before he kinda never got this treatment. He was is and always WILL be li/u kan/g's equal in skill and warriors heart)

ra\iden (a LITERAL GOD who was so strong he was only bound by the rules of mortal kombat and the elder gods and his soft spot for mortals and loyalty to protecting earthrealm, kind and wise. Turned into a supposed dEmi-GOd who was willing to use the realm that was his charge as a fucking bargaining chip to a man who's more untrustworthy than shan/g ts/ung, he's hardly around OR he's suddenly not as powerful until he remembers he can obliterate ppl with lightning, he's a cold hardass who's so alien to mortals emotions despite being around them longer and basically raising one like his own son)

with new characters added that have so much potential but poor execution (i mean seriously you wanna tell me ce/trion and kroni/ka actually killed the elder gods THE ELDER GODS AKA THE BIG POWERFUL DIVINE COUNSEL but have trouble with making rai/d/en and li/u fi/ght and kill each other??? Let alone try to kill one at a time??)

I do like some things like kolle/ctor and ge/rus and cet/rion like i like those characters but by god cetr/ion was wasted potential you cant drop her brother was fucking shinn/ok and then proceed to basically make her some weak errand girl who i feel in the end is making fun of the "divine feminine gaia" aesthetic like the writing wants her to be the bad guy but also sympathetic in the dumbest way possible and she sounds like someone on Twitter who just learned about the concept of "balance" and slaps buddha quotes incorrectly

Also i never cared for shin/nok until recently when i was like "hey wait no his concept kinda slaps actually"

At the end of the day we all have our opinions i guess. And mine is: mk new timeline is written by people who like superheroes movies when mk should be written by people who like kung fu movies

The Mandolorian x Moon Knight crossover (this definitely isn't because I'm binging The Mandolorian rn and I've fallen in love).

Idk if this would be a Star Wars AU or if The Mandolorian is set somewhere in the far reaches of space in the MCU but I want them to interact! And travel together! I want Steven and Din in the same fic! Tell me Khonshu in space isn't the greatest idea ever.

The Misadventures of Mr. Knight and his Animal Gang!

Literally just Steven and his animals fighting crime and getting into weird and wacky scenarios. Maybe there's cameos from other heroes like Black Panther or Daredevil. People are constantly confused by the amount of animals and the fact that his superpower isn't that he can control animals.

Steven's claustrophobia.

My dude was stuck in the sarcophagus and he was clearly panicking when Marc let him out. And idk if he was conscious while frozen but to make it more angsty, let's say he was. I need hurt/comfort Jake and Marc finding out about this and helping him feel better. Maybe he wanted to hide it cause he thought it was a weakness or didn't want to worry them idk.

[Street Fighter V] Extra Battle: Viable Ryu

If you were lucky enough to get the Extra Boss Battle before July 1, 2018 you got a chance to fight Ryu dubbed "The Master" it cost 1000FM to fight him and just like with Fortnite Thanos was for a limited time this is something I want to see more of in the future with different games and even more possible limited time crossover events that keeps interest and can change, add, or improve gameplay keeping things fresh, fun and unpredictable for the gamer. I think both are cool ideas and watching MDZ Jimmy fight what he calls him Viable Ryu was funny and entertaining check it out. This was pretty cool I had just made a post about the new DLC character G and the speculation on who he is and some of the boss battles of SFV so it was cool to see the Ryu The Master "A True Martial Artist" in his traditional Gi. G and Ryu's rival Sagat are the last 2 planned DLC characters planned coming out later this year, and with ideas like this they can keep the game fresh for years to come.

Bonus:

VesperArcade has been putting up a lot of quality strategy and advice videos for many of the top games this year including the fighting game genre. With the release of the character called G getting closer wanted to revisit one of the best years for fighting games.

Extra Bonus:

With Street Fighter celebrating its 30th Anniversary and speculation on who G is, Mortal Kombat coincidentally just came off of celebrating its 25th Anniversary and many anticipating a new Mortal Kombat game (Mortal Kombat 11) and whether the game would take place before or after Armageddon. SMGxPrincess, Dynasty, BruskPoet, History Behind the Warrior and Super have some of the best informative, fun insights, and gameplay with Mugen creators Borg117 & Bleed having some of the best new gameplay ideas, and Mortal Kombat Addict has his own Krypt Secrets with some of the best Mugen Mortal Kombat games. Mortal Kombat has a huge following and a strong enough background to keep the game going with all the secrets and characters already in the game but it would still be cool to see something new. Many wanted a crossover game with Street Fighter or even Killer Instinct but on its own it is still one of the top fighting games of the genre.

Kreate-a-Fighter was one of the best features from Mortal Kombat Armageddon between that and the Epic Gears and Shaders from Injustice 2 they are the perfect combination.

Update: 

Dynasty has just posted New Mortal Kombat details in the form of a movie instead of the anticipated Mortal Kombat 11 game. Here they introduce a new character and a new story not necessarily what we know of Mortal Kombat. More of a spin off or a custom Mugen game, even though I was hoping for some kind of answer what happens after Armageddon I welcome any new idea and if done well it can work even though not canon (like the Japanese/Chinese relationship with Liu Kang & Kung Lao - ninja/shaolin monk brother relationship but without stereotyping it can happen right? I'm sure they will explain it like they picked which martial art or style they wanted when they were young). Mortal Kombat Rebirth pitch wasn't exactly canon either but looked good enough that we wanted to see it anyway. They did Mortal Kombat Legacy 1 & 2 instead but Mortal Kombat Rebirth I think would have worked. 

New ideas sometimes keeps interest just like in the Kreate-a-Fighter post where Dynasty, Brusk Poet, SMGxPrincess and other fans game post ideas that gamers actually want as well as Borg117, Bleed, and Mortal Kombat Addict reinventing Mortal Kombat with gameplay that adds new experiences. RED FACTION GUERRILLA RE-MARS-TERED AND SAINTS ROW IS BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE!

Volition earlier in the year was bought by THQ Nordic reuniting them with old Volition titles from the past like Summoner and Red Faction. If you are not familiar with the Red Faction series you are in luck Red Faction Guerrilla is being remastered and if that’s not enough Saints Row 1 and 2 are now backwards compatible on the Xbox One. MrSaintsGodzilla21 has posted 2 videos so you can see how well these two have been upgraded as well as detailed explanation.

Agents of Mayhem had mixed reviews when it came out but it was a different perspective that even though is chaotic it is different enough you won’t confuse it with a Saints Row game kind of how Saints Row the Third separated itself from being a GTA clone. Jamie Foxx has been confirmed to play Spawn in this new reboot by the comic creator and artist Todd McFarlane in association with Blumhouse Productions which made news last year with its movie Get Out. It is said that they are taking more of a horror approach, as well as Spawn not really speaking. That works good with Jason or Michael Myers but some dialog would be good I hope they rethink that. I would like to see what the official word is from Todd McFarlane himself but Spawn not saying anything doesn’t sound right to me.

Since Spawn has been anticipated by fans of the comic, movies and video games here is the History of Spawn by Variant very entertaining and knowledgeable to watch and History of the Warrior talks about the real reason Spawn wasn’t in Injustice 2 well thought out and entertaining.

WILL 2 JOKERS BE THE BRIGHT IDEA THAT WILL DO DC COMICS JUSTICE?

If you had to choose the next Joker movie to be based around the one from Batman or Suicide Squad which would you pick? Personally as a fan of Suicide Squad and wanting to see something new I think it was good news that Jared Leto was getting an opportunity to play that version of the Joker to see where the story goes as this version looks different and even acts different. But for the sake of argument Joaquinn Phoenix playing the original Joker and having this version also a standalone movie seems like the best of both worlds.

MCU Could Tackle Horror Genre According to Kevin Feige

Marvel is thinking about getting in on the horror movie action and thinking about a few characters like Man-Thing and Blade. Blade one of the more popular characters in the Marvel Comics Universe already has a trilogy out on DVD and Blu-ray but getting a revamp wouldn’t hurt and I would like to see the direction they would. There is currently a Blade television show called Blade The Series you can watch now on the CW staring Kirk Jones (Sticky Fingaz from the group Onyx)

Joaquin Phoenix has just been officially announced as the Joker for the Origin film they are making, for any fans of Batman or the Joker check the new game Batman: The Enemy Within as well some of the older Batman games like Batman: Return to Arkham.

Batman: Return to Arkham includes what is considered to be 2 of the best games ever made now remastered for the new generation of players on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The game comes with 2 classics Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. With the power of the Unreal Engine 4 giving it that graphical upgrade it looks better then before. Even though it has received mixed reviews it is still worth the pick up whether you are a new to the series or played it on the previous systems.

Bucky Barnes had faced many enemies—soldiers, HYDRA agents, and even himself. But as he stood in the middle of an unfamiliar, storm-torn battlefield, it was clear he was far from home as he glanced around him, slain bodies of all types. Some creatures held numerous limbs, others had bled green, purple, or even blue..

The sky above rumbled, thick clouds swirling with electric energy. The last thing he remembered was a portal opening up during his mission, a golden rift tearing through the air, something he’d assumed Stephen Strange had opened up. Now, he was somewhere else—definitely not Earth as he knew it. His metal arm buzzed in the charged atmosphere as if it could sense something, someone, watching him.

“Where the hell am I?” Bucky muttered, scanning his surroundings trying to find a person or creature who he could speak with..

"Earthrealm," a voice echoed, deep and booming.

Bucky spun around, coming face to face with a man cloaked in blue and white robes, eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. Lightning flickered around him, the energy crackling along his fingers as if it obeyed his command.

Raiden.

“I’m guessing you’re the one responsible for dragging me here?” Bucky’s voice was sharp, his stance tense, ready for a fight. He had heard of gods in myths but had never expected to meet one—let alone someone who looked like he could turn him into a pile of dust with a flick of his wrist.

Where the hell was this place?

Raiden stepped forward. His face was calm, though his presence demanded respect. “You were brought here for a reason, James Buchanan Barnes. Earthrealm is under threat, and your skills are needed.”

Bucky’s eyes narrowed. He had been manipulated before, used as a weapon by forces much stronger than him. He wasn’t going to fall for it again. “Why should I care about this ‘Earthrealm’? I’m not one of your soldiers. And i refuse to be soemone else’s pet for pleasure.”

Raiden’s eyes flashed as a streak of lightning split the sky. “Because Earthrealm’s destruction would mean the end of all realms—including yours. There is no choice, Winter Soldier.”

Bucky clenched his jaw. His metal fist curled into a ball, but he knew better than to fight against something this powerful. "Alright, Thunder God," he growled. "What's the plan?"

They were at the heart of the chaos, Raiden and Bucky side by side. The ground shook as monstrous foes from Outworld charged at them—creatures with tusks, claws, and powers that rivalled any Bucky had faced before. The Winter Soldier fired off rounds from his rifle, precision perfect as always, while Raiden summoned lightning, striking enemies with the wrath of a storm.

As another wave of foes came crashing down on them, Bucky found himself thrown to the ground. His weapon skidded out of reach, and his mind flashed back to countless battles, each moment forcing him to fight for his life. He couldn’t understand what he was fighting. And he fought aliens from space, which was saying something.

But before his enemy could strike, Raiden appeared in a blur of blue, lightning fast. With a shout, the Thunder God unleashed a bolt of pure electricity, frying the attacker before turning to help Bucky to his feet.

“You fight well, James,” Raiden said, his tone as calm as ever despite the battlefield around them. “But in this realm, power must be balanced with wisdom.”

Bucky grunted, wiping blood from his lip. “Wisdom won’t do much if you're dead.”

Raiden’s lips quirked into a faint smile. “Perhaps. But I believe there’s more to you than just the soldier. Your past does not define you here.”

Bucky looked at him, surprised by the words. No one had ever spoken to him like that—as they saw beyond the Winter Soldier, beyond the killer.

The battle raged on, but Bucky felt something shift inside him. Raiden wasn’t just a god wielding lightning—he was someone who understood the weight of responsibility, of carrying the burdens of an entire realm on his shoulders. In a way, it reminded Bucky of his own journey, trying to break free from the chains of his past while fighting for a better future.

Together, they were an unstoppable force. Raiden's lightning complemented Bucky's ruthless efficiency, each move calculated and lethal. They tore through the enemies like a storm sweeping across the battlefield, unrelenting and unyielding.

As the dust settled and the last of the Outworld warriors fell, Bucky stood beside Raiden, breathing heavily but alive.

“So, what happens now?” Bucky asked, looking at the destruction around them. “We just keep fighting? Forever?”

Raiden turned to him, his glowing eyes softening. “There will always be battles to fight, James Barnes. But it is up to us to choose which ones are worth it.”

For the first time in a long time, Bucky felt like maybe he had found a cause worth fighting for.

Thor stood at the edge of a mountain peak, Mjölnir in hand, his golden hair whipping in the wind as lightning crackled across the sky. He was sent here by Heimdall’s vision, a disturbance in the realms that threatened both Asgard and Midgard. Thor had fought many foes—gods, monsters, and men—but this energy felt different, ancient, powerful, and somehow… familiar.

As he scanned the horizon, a bolt of lightning struck a nearby peak, but it wasn’t his own. From the electric storm emerged a figure draped in white robes, eyes glowing with blue energy, and a conical hat shielding his face from the storm’s fury. It was Raiden, the God of Thunder from Earthrealm.

Thor raised an eyebrow and gripped Mjölnir tighter. “I don’t know who you are, but I sense power in you. And yet, you stand where you do not belong.”

Raiden’s eyes flashed, his voice calm but echoing with authority. “I am Raiden, protector of Earthrealm. I have come here because your presence disturbs the balance of realms.”

Thor smirked, the arrogance of an Asgardian god seeping through. “The balance? I am Thor, son of Odin. I protect not just Earth, but the Nine Realms themselves. If anyone’s balance is threatened, it is not mine.”

Raiden’s face remained stoic, though the clouds above grew darker. “You speak of protection, but your arrival here has caused the elements to rage. This place—these storms—are not yours to control. The realms must remain in harmony.”

Without another word, Thor hurled Mjölnir toward Raiden, lightning trailing behind it in a brilliant arc. Raiden raised his hand, and with a crack of thunder, disappeared into a bolt of lightning, reappearing just before Mjölnir could strike.

“I have faced gods before,” Raiden said as he summoned lightning of his own, sending a surge of electricity toward Thor.

Thor caught the bolt on his hammer, absorbing the energy with ease. He grinned, impressed. “I like your spirit, Raiden. But let’s see if you can handle this!”

With a mighty leap, Thor launched himself into the air, Mjölnir raised high. The sky itself seemed to split as lightning cascaded down toward Raiden. But Raiden was unfazed. With a gesture, the storm turned, the winds bending to his will. Lightning coiled around him like a serpent, and in a flash, he shot up to meet Thor mid-air, fists charged with divine power.

Their clash was cataclysmic. The air around them shimmered as energy from both gods collided, shaking the very foundation of the realm. Each strike of Mjölnir was met by Raiden’s mastery over lightning, their powers mirroring each other in an explosive display.

For a moment, they were evenly matched—thunder and lightning warring in the skies, each god testing the other’s strength. But Raiden’s calm precision clashed with Thor’s raw fury. A well-placed strike from Raiden sent Thor crashing to the ground, but the Asgardian rose swiftly, his smile wider than before.

“You fight well, Earthrealmer,” Thor said, dusting himself off. “But it will take more than that to bring down the God of Thunder.”

Raiden landed gracefully, the storm calming slightly as he spoke. “This battle is unnecessary, Thor. We are not enemies. The realms need both of us—together, we can restore balance.”

Thor hesitated, his grip on Mjölnir loosening. The truth in Raiden’s words rang in his mind. They were not enemies—merely two forces of nature that had crossed paths.

After a long moment, Thor nodded. “Very well, Raiden. Let us end this battle.”

Raiden extended his hand, and after a brief pause, Thor clasped it firmly. The storm above began to ease, the skies clearing as the two gods came to an understanding.

“Together, then,” Raiden said, his voice calm once more.

“Together,” Thor agreed, his eyes gleaming with newfound respect.

And so, the gods of thunder stood side by side, their powers united, ready to face whatever greater threat lay ahead.
