Baron’s just standing by and smiling because she’s already made a difference in his life he’d been just drifting around for the past century or so with no real purpose and then she comes along, and she’s bright and full of hope.  She gives him hope, and not because she’s the Dragonborn, but because she’s Haru.

Also Baron just standing behind her and glowering at anybody who looks like they’re dumb enough to try and mess with the Dragonborn.  He can smell daedric intervention from a mile away by this point and the moment he senses it he just immediately tries to steer Haru in the other direction.
