Mockshow/Romp had like 2 scenes total throughout Worm but she was great at being a little shit in both

So, people liked my review of phase 1 of the WCU, so let's review phase 2:

This movie is baffling to me. You bring the CUI, set up Shen yu as the main fucking villain...

AND THEN THE MAIN VILLAIN IS FUCKING VICTOR?!?!?!?!?

What the fuck man.

But at the same one you have Colin becoming Defiant, showing character developement.

But also fuck you, Gwinneth Paltrow was a vague interpretation of fucking Ash Phoenix.

The dragon's teeth are fucking awesome.

But most of the movie is Dragon who crashed bonding with a little girl.

I like that Dragon finally gets a gynoid body, it shows that she is now sure that she is human, even if she is a machine.

But thats the thing with this fucking movie. There are a lot of great fucking ideas weighted down by horrible studio decisions.

Also the new dragon suit is fuckinv over-designed lol.

I fucking love this movie.

I love Hannah's arc trying to find Mel, and how she discovers she has become murder rat.

I love the plot of Gesselchaft infiltrating the PRT.

This really sold me on Scarlet Johanson as Piggot tbh. Even if i'm iffy on her ship-bait with Hannah.

I liked how Miss Millitia recruits Vista from the Brockton Wards. I think they are great foils of each other.

Just, overall a great movie with great coreography.

But really? Nobody suspected Juntin Nazheer was just a nazi?

Underrated and Overhated in my opinion.

Yeah, it's kind of a mess with too many plotpoints. Like Jack is there and that goes nowhere, Theo has to balance his new membership to the chicago wards, dealing with his dad and the folk.

Topsy was a forgetable villain but i have high hopes for mockshow.

I liked raymancer, tecton and annex. Hope we see more of them.

Natalie portman as cuff was... a choice.

Give it a chance man.

Just give James Gunn a group of unknowns and he will give you gold.

What a good fun fucking movie, man.

The crew has such a good dynamic.

I like the implications of a larger thing with the C tattoos.

The whole asylum breakout sequence was very entretaining.

This movie was really really fun. But with a heart. And thats the best a movie can be.

I heard most people tought that Gavel was a forgetable villain (or anti hero) and that him joining forces with Burnscar made no sense. It doesn't make sense but it gives us some great sequences.

I loved the silly cameos of some of the weirder Wildbow characters like the Snail, Chubster and Trainwreck.

ALSO THE MUSIC! I boight the soundtrack as soon as it came out.

Please watch it. It's very fun.

It starts strong with the raid to the heartbroken, also helps set up Regent and Cherish. Damn those twins are creepy.

I really liked the earlier slice of life esque scenes in the rig.

The whole scene of the three blasphemies emerging and taking over the dragon's teeth to make a machine army was very very well animated.

Why is Colin Armsmaster again? I feel like we get robbed of his character developement... but the Lungbuster armor fucks so much.

Also, Flechette has a secret girlfriend she told nobody about. Lol. But i really like her new purple costume :}

I wonder what all the visions of the future mean. Will the slaughterhouse 9 kill everybody? I mean they have been teasing the shit out of them for years now.

Also we need to talk about how the studio bounces Piggot as a love interest for any other team member, like it feels so out of place man.

The final battle was neat, the fact that they finally reveal Scion as he kills the blasphemy's "BEHEMOTH" was surprising, cool, but it kind of killed al the tension lol.

How can i take anything seriously if thid golden man can appear and end the threat?

Also Regent dies i guess. We hardly knew ya.

Let's see what they will do with Cherish tho.

It's an okay movie.

Velocity as an older mentor figure works.

I hope his daughter becomes Battery in the sequel lol.

Assault's crew is funny.

Madcap is a boring villain but the "let's free everyone in the birdcage" was an interesting premise.

Go see it if you have the time.

If anyone thought I was cleaning up Chicago, they were wrong. Like the Director had said, I’d take as much rein as they gave me, use all of the leverage and momentum I could get my hands on. Topsy was a small fry in the grand scheme of things. A test run. I wanted to hit big targets in other cities. To get as many Mockshows into the interrogation rooms as possible, to play the odds and increase the chances that we could get those people on the fence and make sure they were positioned appropriately.

Taylor’s time in Chicago never really hits right for me, I think in large part because the setting lacks the worldbuilding of Brockton Bay — in BB, we’re introduced to the major players pretty early on, so there’s a feeling of a status quote that’s being disrupted through the whole coil takeover plot, whereas in Chicago we just get these vignettes that don’t feel meaningfully entwined with a larger world or goals. The timeskip stuff certainly doesn’t help in this regard.

That said, I’ve never noticed before that Taylor’s stated goal here is basically to amass an army of parahumans who will be positioned to help out when the end of the world hits. Which *checks notes* that’s just Cauldron. That is literally Cauldron’s goal. Interesting parallel.

I'm truly sad we didn't get more of her with the Chicago Wards, a true missed opportunity made by the time skip.

The fact that almost no fics take place during the Wards arc is another shame.

The Chicago Wards are just so interesting and they get like no love at all. And from what I've heard about Ward only two of them show up, and they don't include my girl Romp/Mockshow or best boy Tecton. A true shame.

Design notes under the cut

For this design, I essentially tried to flip my Skitter design. Trading in the sharp, spiky shell that presses close to her body, cloaking the exact shape of her body, for smooth armor plating presenting a more welcoming face. Best seen in the mask's lenses. Skitter's lenses are pointed and angry looking, where as Weaver's are wide and round which make her seem far more safe.

I'm not a huge fan of the grey bodysuit she's described as having as I just don't like envisioning it. Instead I went with a black bodysuit like her Skitter costume. The white and blue-trimmed armor panels give a heroic impression, while the black bodysuit serves as a reminder of her past as a villain which there is no forgetting.

On top of it, it further portrays what exactly the Weaver persona is to Taylor. Just a mask she puts on to help maneuver events in her favor. Beneath the false face she wears for those two years, Taylor remains a villain at heart. She remains the Warlord that she became.

1. What part of the writing process is the most enjoyable?

The daydreaming!!! 💭 Cause y’know... It’s the easiest part! Plus it’s like, I can imagine 30 different versions of a scene almost in the bat of an eye and I get to decide which one(s) I’ll eventually write! Or not! There’s such a feeling of unbound freedom attached to this stage that you don’t necessarily have once you’ve started writing because consistency!! Also that’s when I get inspiration nuggets!! The feeling of power when you’ve just thought of a subplot that’s gonna mess up with everything... 😈

7. What do you love most about being a fic writer for your fandom?

Well, for GG I guess it’s the fact that everyone was so chill and supportive that it gave me the confidence to try my hands at writing and grow as a fic writer and explore what I liked and the skills I wanted to refine... And I love that this fandom gave me the opportunity to go through all the stages of self-confidence re writing, from feeling super tentative to being anxious for attention and then anxious for ignorance, from feeling compelled to write for a certain audience to not giving a shit anymore and just enjoying what makes me happy. I’m not sure I would ever have felt confident enough to then write for a non-existent fandom if I hadn’t had that experience before. Oh, and I love that even though I barely post anymore in this fandom, whenever I happen to do so, people are still there to give love and support, and I really love this sense of community that I have with this fandom ❤️

For HPI, I love that I kinda started this fandom lol! And I love that now there’s like, this small crowd of readers who follow my stories and give me some of the most incredible feedback I’ve ever received. And I love that I get to write in French! And that there is so much to explore writing-wise! And I love that there’s this whole lil community that built itself organically, and I love being a part of it! ❤️

They've been ten minutes or so in this mockshow of foreplays — and by then Elizabeth's breathing has quickened, her cheeks reddened, and his body fucking responded cause there's only so many times she can smash her tits at his face and expect him to remain impassible — when Gene decides to be a cunt again, probably to impress Mr. Bad Guy or some shit. The way Gene's got the mentality of a fucking puppy is genuinely baffling.

"Hey, man, are you going to fuck her or what?" he asks, his own hands roaming all around the dark-haired girl Rio's pretty sure goes under the stage name of Gloria who's kneeling in front of him, decidedly undoing his pants.

Elizabeth straightens a bit at this to look towards Gene with a disgusted expression, mimics a retch before she brings her lips close to Rio's ear. "Ew. Who even are those guys?"

Right? At least someone else gets it.

"How 'bout you do you and I do me?" Rio dryly shoots back.

Cause — gee, give a man some privacy for fuck's sake. Exhibition's never really been his jam to start with.

"This is not how it works," Gene chuckles, his eyes shining with horniness in a way that's fucking obscene at the sight of him and Elizabeth wrapped up together.

He... fuck, he gets it. He knows there is something mesmerizing about how hot they are together. Shit, he kept his eyes on that mirror for a reason. But that ain't enough of an argument to convince him to share that with the rest of the room.

"I thought there were no rules," he points out.

Under his palm, he senses Elizabeth tense at their exchange, although he can tell that she's tryna keep quiet, pretending to tease him as best as she can, pushing it as far as dragging her tongue along the edges of the wings drawn on his neck.

He swallows. This was fucking unnecessary.

Quick little doodle of a team combo idea I thought of. Romp controls and animates objects with limitations depending on the original shape/functions, and Cuff, being a metallokinetic, can reshape metal objects for different functions. Also like the idea of these two being friends despite being practically polar opposites personality wise

Solution: make food? But that requires effort and getting up, and none of my food I have sounds good or at all appealing.

The best solution is not eating but that isn't an option because I have workouts tomorrow, and then a mockshow, and I know if I don't eat I'll be exhausted and starving tomorrow.

Notes and FAQ

"What's a boop?" It means the fic saw some amount of activity during one of my software's scan periods. Currently this is seven and half minutes. So one could say that the Taylor Varga thread was continuously active for one day, three hours and fifty-two minutes this week. Whew, that's a lot!

"But that one has too many boops! It couldn't have been that active!" Well, keep in mind, these numbers are aggregated across all of the sources I scan: SB, SV, QQ, AO3 and FFNET.

"But they have too few boops! I know it was more active than that!" Hah, well, mostly my software scans ever seven and half minutes. Except it's still running on my laptop, so not when I'm commuting or a handful of other occasions.

New to the fandom? "Quests" are little interactive games between the author and the readers where the readers vote on how the story progresses. While they're probably best enjoyed by participating they can often be solid stories unto themselves.

Relatedly, "CYOA"s are little guides to setting, theme and character creation often used by folks writing SIs.

The total word counts and chapter counts NO LONGER (usually) include omake, so they should feel more accurate. They are included in the "added in this update" section.

Days in the range are inclusive, so ALL of each day. Start and end of days are in UTC. So if you're posting on Friday evenings in the US you'll be in the next week's listing.

I might have missed you, especially if your fic was new or returning from a long hiatus. I mean, I really hope not? But possibly! My methods aren't perfect. If I did, please let me know and I'll make sure you get picked up in the future!

I pick up oneshots from personal oneshot/snippet threads, but not from the global one. (No threadmarks!) So if you want your oneshots included, start up your own personal thread to archive them.
