stannis baratheon single after the divorce, wife takes everything in the divorce (good for her, she's gonna spend it on her new younger gf and her new religious mlm), now spending all his time at work. living in his friend davos' spare room. davos angrily goes "shireen needs a father!!!" wake up call. starts watching youtube tutorials on crochet and minecraft and baking and makeup to bond with his daughter. shireen mentions chappell roan and davos finds stannis stone cold silent listening to GOOD LUCK BABE on shitty wire headphones. takes time off to make loom band bracelets with shireen at the park. wears her homemade beanies ("daddy your bald head will get cold") when he picks her up from school.

you ever think about how, after rishi, all they had was each other. everything they knew, gone in an instant. except for each other.

you ever think about how they found a place for themselves in the 501st, slowly putting the pieces of their lives back together and finally feeling like they belonged somewhere, somewhere they were wanted and celebrated and loved. They found a family, people that had their backs, and they were able to just be. They could mess around and play and laugh with their brothers because who was gonna stop them??

you ever think that fives came back from the citadel, an empty space at his side, and couldn’t stand it? Couldn’t look at the places he’d thought were safe, couldn’t talk to the friends they’d made together because none of it was right without echo beside him?

you ever think that echo got out of the stasis chamber and just knew, the minute he wasn’t there, that fives was gone? and just like fives, the 501st just felt wrong without his twin? you think that’s why he couldn’t stay?

do you ever think that echo, used to being youngest and looking up to fives and now suddenly he’s the Older Brother in his new group, the one with experience, the one they should be looking up to, you think he felt out of place? watching the empire rise, watching brothers fall and realizing one day that, oh shit, he’s the responsible one. him, echo, one half of the most chaotic duo the 501st had ever seen is now the responsible one, and what the hell happened?

you ever think about how scary that would be? looking back at the life you had and not even getting the chance to mourn it because your new brothers need you, the world is falling apart and you’ve been through more than they have so you have to be the one to help them through it. looking back on the shiny he was and realizing he can never go back.

Fives is not a man who can easily be told no. Every loss he suffers only serves to drive the young man further, giving him purpose and reason…but endangering him all the same. 

Echo || The Lost

song: Last Words of a Shooting Star, Mitski

Echo, contrary to the seemingly endless movement of his twin, is a man caught in a stasis of his own making. Having never forgotten what happened to Kamino, Echo seeks to move forward and make a new life for himself. 

Dogma || The Fire

song: Don’t Ask, Just Let Me Know

Dogma is named for his own rigidity and adherence to the rules, no matter the cost. However, he still seeks to create an identity for himself, one removed from both his father and Kamino. 

Tup || The Tears

song: Funeral, Phoebe Bridgers

As Jango Fett’s third youngest, Tup has often found himself struggling with the passage of time. When the fight turns against him though, it is he who his family rallies around.

Is there any proof that Curly got Jimmy the job? "He joined because of me." and "Someone's else's words in my mouth." sound to me more like he only gave him the idea to apply for a position using Pony Express' false promises without realizing. He sounds more regretful about becoming a recruiter for Pony Express against his own will. But it's talked about as though he literally hired him personally or pulled some strings with the Big Guys. When everything hints at Pony Express seeking out people like Jimmy specifically because someone who has a harder time on earth will be less likely to leave.

I feel like we can assume that Curly also put in a good word for him.

I think it’d be really interesting if that’s all it was because otherwise, that’s not something we can really fault him for. You bring up a good point in that if all he did was recommend he apply, then it was on P.E for hiring someone so unstable in such an important position. They are a very predatory company and a person like Jimmy is the exact type they like to take on and break into a ideal worker, obviously not in the vein of Curly or Anya but more like Swansea, resigned and okay with the monotony as long as there’s a paycheck at the end of the week/month.

I think it’s another thing people immediately fault him personally for despite it being left intentionally vague. That statement doesn’t mean he got him the job just the reason Jimmy is there is because of what he told him. Maybe he’s still partially to blame for putting the idea in his head to apply but you also can’t blame him for P.E deciding Jimmy was okay to be a pilot. I mean, looking back at the eval, Curly is shocked Jimmy is adjusting/adjusted well to the position. Those are not words of someone who was expecting their friend to be in that specific role, at least for as long Jimmy was.

Curly doesn’t have the power to hire Jimmy and seeing as he couldn’t even get corporate to listen to him about the cryo pods, a necessity, I think it’s actually more far fetched that he could use his title to get him hired in such a position. They were just filling a position with a candidate. The game subtly tries to show how little sway Curly actually has outside of the ship with the company in minor ways, so playing with the idea he’s still taking responsibility for what is ultimately a decision he couldn’t have ever really affect makes a lot of sense.

It’s a hard pill to swallow apparently but even if all the details of the Order 66 plot were uncovered and everyone in the Republic found out Palpatine was a traitor, they still would have had to deal with Count Dooku, another Sith Lord, and all the other Separatists and their massive army somehow.

It could make for some interestingly complicated AU possibilities but I doubt there’s much out there exploring it in a way that makes any sense since fandom seems to have trouble grasping this.

I was looking through the Steela Gerrera tag and saw something about “So messed up and real how the Republic and Separatists’ war destabilized neutral worlds :(“ You mean. Onderon? The planet that joined the CIS? Whose head of state was pretty significantly shown as one of the few good Separatists, which didn’t end well for her or her people?

I mean. It boggles my mind how the Clone Wars is basically the most misunderstood major event in Star Wars canon even though they made a whole show about it.
