Hello, we are Suzuran Fan Club!

About time we made our landing here! We want to expand our presence outsides of Twitter and Instagram

Who are we?

Suzuran Fan Club is an online fan group organizing in-person fan meetups, creating online discussions, and helping inspiring cosplayers all centered around Puyo Puyo and other SEGA series.

Founded on July 3rd 2024, we are three nerds who love the Puyo Puyo series. We are based in California.

Our goal?

To provide a safe, all ages friendly space for Puyo Puyo fans across the world by giving them resources to create their own fan meetups, online discussions, and provide tutorials on how to make their own cosplays.

We have hosted two fan meetups at conventions with success, and our platform is used to promote and organize these events - we do the heavy lifting while you relax. As well, we have strict rules on how we create a safe space for meetups that everyone feels welcomed.

With our fan artists, we want to provide an encouraging space to sell their artworks within the community with a virtual artist alley on our platforms.

Why Did We Create SFC?

We are aware Puyo Puyo is a niche fandom outside of Japan - while not being a dead franchise, it is a series still trying to find its footing in America. With an huge influx of fans coming in and interest in more cosplays, meetups, and presence at gaming spaces, there is a surge of demand. To help fandom members navigate this community, our founder wanted to create a platform where all can connect and plan these things.

Puyo Puyo does not have a luxury of popular fandoms so having an organization who helps monitor and keeps track of fan meetups will help locals find each other and create their own community.

Having such a established platform can make us a go-to for social events and create a sub-community within this fanbase.

How Do Fan Meetups Work?

We focus on three key features: convenience, being organized, and having fun.

Our meetups range from 30 minutes to 1 hour within a small to medium crowd.

We create a lineup before we arrive in-person to make sure we are ready. Plus we communicate highly on Discord which includes a RVSP system to predict the crowd size.

We currently offer two styles of meetups: Puyo Puyo and SEGA General.

Heyo! Welcome to Ask Madou And Puyo. Here you can ask your favorite characters from this franchise (almost) anything. One ground rule though: no NSFW. Reason 1, this blog should be suitable for all ages, reason 2, I’m sex repulsed, and reason 3, most of the characters are minors. I don’t play Quest so don’t try to talk to any Quest Exclusive characters because I can’t write what I don’t know. Also I don’t consider the Tetra crew to be Puyo characters, they are Tetris characters, so they won’t be here.

I will generally start answering asks and reblogging and stuff around 8:30 p.m UTC-6 (United States Central Standard Time) and end around 1 am. Feel free to send stuff before that tho so I have stuff in the box

If your ask isn’t answered it means I’m not creative enough to come up with an answer

Please try not to break the fourth wall. Don’t go mentioning games by name. Anons and askers are not all powerful and you do have limits. If I say a character can’t break something, you can’t easily break it and you DEFINITELY can’t give people invincibility. As for evil asks I don’t like, I will answer those and say as mod not to send asks like that. I am a hurt/comfort writer though so arcs maaaay involve Teen rated violence/torture so sorry.

Anyway, in regards to pairings on this page, there are only canon ones at the start, but these ask blogs can have story arcs. In which case only three pairings I enjoy can be achieved. Other than that, power of platonic love. Those three are ScheArle (when Schezo is headcanoned as a minor), SigAmi, and MaNgo.

Also, please refer to The Dark Prince as that, not his japanese name. Due to my religion I prefer using his localized name

Below the cut will be several headcanons which will effect the blog. For the most part you can discover headcanons via just…interacting but there are some I wanna get out of the way

First up, ages of characters with unconfirmed canon ages. Here are the characters and the headcanon ages:

Schezo: 16 (normally I’d go with unable to physically or mentally age past 14, but I don’t wanna deal with existential anons so yea)

Amitie: 13

Lidelle: 13

Klug: 12

Raffina: 14

Sig: 13

Feli: 13

Lemres: 18

Maguro: 13

Ringo: 13

Now you may be thinking “but Eway! In Tetris, Tetris 2 and Puzzle Pop, Sig, Klug and Schezo sound older than the ages you gave” and you’d be correct…for the English version. They all sound around the ages I mentioned in Japanese. Klug’s English VA in Fever sounds between 10 and 13, and I have ideas for recasting (4 for Schezo, one for Sig) but for now, I suggest you imagine them speaking in their Japanese version

Klug does not have a crush on Lemres. The duo are brothers in all but blood and Klug’s admiration plays into this trope

Ally and Rafisol are sisters, same way characters like Pit and Dark Pit are brothers (Allisol shippers please don’t kill meeeeeeee)
