My interpretation of Monika’s parents is kinda weird, they don’t really try to enforce her to do anything really as long as she’s happy in their eyes, but Monika constantly tries to impress them to get their attention. So I don’t think they would ask her to have a kid to “take over the family business” and I’d like to think when she’s old enough to consider having a kid, she’d kinda be over trying to get her parents attention at all times, so that idea wouldn’t really cross her mind.
