In anticipation for the hundred line, I've been looking back on everything I loved from both kodaka and uchikoshi and the fact that both are working together on this gigantic ass project amazes me and scares me. Because like.

uchikoshi's deal as seen from zero escape and AI: somnium files is that he Fucks You Up Mentally what with all the mindfucking plots concerning morphogenetic fields and whatnot - all tying together an elaborately crafted mind game.

meanwhile kodaka's deal is that he Fucks You Up Emotionally as the core strength of danganronpa was how the characters grow to matter to Each Other and to the Players to the point of emotional euphoria when the strong bonds work out and people survive, or to the point of emotional devastation at inevitable heartbreak and execution.

Like see what I mean that Uchikoshi brings the brain and Kodaka brings the heart. Both of their strengths not only balance each other out, but also address key criticisms of each of their own domains, what with Zero Escape characters and stories being deemed as not as emotionally compelling as Danganronpa, while Danganronpa's mysteries being not as meticulously convoluted as Zero Escape.

So, what happens when their weaknesses are counteracted? What happens when you finally combine uchikoshi and kodaka's strengths?
