Hello my beloveds! Another meta from Healing!Dean season 14. This is a summary from my original metas from season 14, so I hope I can convey all the concepts for you.

I will talk mostly about Dean's daddy issues and how he will be able to break free about it as he accepts his love for Castiel.

"And this episode Logic Nightmares, was about fears... Did you see the woman trying to open the basement door... Darker than night, to see what was in there... In that dark and tenebrous place, and then she was scared him by that "vampire"? And she fell of fear... Well very symbolic bc... imagine Dean trying to open his most darkest room... His lost repressed feeling... But when he tries... He's attacked by his own fears... And he fails Everytime..."

I wrote this in one of my metas. That episode had Dean Winchester saying "Let it go... Like Elsa." It's related to MOVE ON. A topic that will be explored in season 15 with Dean and Castiel after their break up.

'Logic Nightmares' was about fears but also about daddy issues.

The fact that Sasha went to a dark room and found a monster hidden there, is a foreshadow for AUMichael hidden inside of Dean after 14x10 and also, AUMichael spying them though Dean Winchester's eyes. (That's why the reaction of the d'jin in this episode.)

The dialogue between Sasha and Dean in which Sasha were mirroring Dean was very meaningful:

SASHA: My dad wasn't the best person. He was gone all the time working. For us, he said (...)

DEAN: I'm sorry.

SASHA: Mm. That's what everyone says. Except him. Never said it. You want to know what the most ridiculous part is? I worshipped him when I was a kid.

This is Dean talking my friends from the very beginning. His view about hai dad, a man that tried to do his best, but even so, filled with trauma to his son's. And deep inside he was waiting for an apology from John.

Dean's baggage is full of GUILT, REGRETS and TRAUMA. And the only one person we saw getting inside that baggage/backpack was Castiel in episode 13x20.

Also, the topic of MOVE ON, will be explored in season 15 after Dean and Castiel's break up.

This episode was full of recalling to John Winchester. It worked as a foreshadow of his next appearence in episode 14x13. The episode in which Sam and Dean will be able to forgive their father and heal.

We saw statues of Saint Mary and Saint Joseph in the crypt representing Mary and John Winchester.

And a blatant John Winchester mirror in Bobby...

Okay, let's jump now to episode 14x06... And how it was foreshadowing Dean's choice in episode 14x13.

Dean will choose Castiel

Harper was a Dean mirror, not just because the whole visual elements you can find in the colors of her outfits (she starts wearing red: toxic Dean and ends up wearing green: healing!Dean). But because her relationship with the place where she lived and her toxic bond with the zombie boyfriend.

I realized this episode had a lot of fables references on the wall. That's because we are seeing Dean learning the lesson of his life. Episode 14x04 was about fighting against fears and 14x05 about daddy issues. This episode is about making the right decision and choose your true love.

This was very important to understand episode 14x13 in which Dean decides between his Father, his past and his present family and Castiel. Of course he picked up Cas.

But, then the monster/toxic masculinity boyfriend came back...

"Once in the library what happened was symbolic too, bc Harper OPENED THE DOOR TO HIS TOXIC PAST AND THIS ZOMBIE GAVE HER THE BOOK AGAIN! I MEAN!! This is Dean coming back all over again to this big issue, embracing him, not letting go. This toxic idea of what a man should be, this toxic idea about NOT TALKING OF THE L WORD AND NOT FEELING IT FOR A MAN!"

Another important book was this one...

That book talking about laces (bond, profound Bond) and lances (Dean stabbing Castiel in the barn, love at first stab).

The symbolism here is huge and talks about Dean's inner fight.

From this episode I elqboretaed what I thought was THE MOVES and THE TALK. Because Jack was the innocent one here trying to understand about love.

The moves were related with Dean and CAS being glued and the talk is the one we were waiting for, it came as Dean's prayer in Purgatory 2.0 and Castiel's love confession (as a response to that prayer) in episode 15x18.

First of all, remember the place where Dean and Jack arrived for info. There was full of cocks (second meaning). Also two cocks facing each other to both side of Dean's head (AUMichael against Castiel fighting for Dean 🤣).

And do you remember that funny dialogue between the waitress and Dean and Jack.

JACK - What's courting?

DEAN - Hey, it's what you do before you start dating.

JACK - and that's the thing you do before the sex. (Dean and waitress both look at him oddly)

WAITRESS - Sometimes you just have the sex. (and grins)

DEAN - Okay, that's...Who is Harper Sayles?

That's very cute from Dean and Jack. Because both of them are innocent. Innocent love. Because Dean is not the man that hooks up with any waitress anymore. He even turned away the Cock's tail. Like he rejecting the idea. He is so in love with CAS. Jack and Dean's talk will continue when Jack asks him about Harper being in love with the nougat boy, and googly eyes. (Related to Dean and Cas almost continued eye fucking.) And then the last scene....

This scene was a blatant DEAN IS TALKING ABOUT CAS. DEAN SPEAKS WITH AUTHORITY ABOUT LOVE AND HE EVEN USES THE L WORD HERE. Dean is accepting his romantic love for the angel.

Harper's room was showing a little of Dean's innocent idea about love too. With all the stuffed animals in his room and the big green word AMORE live in Italian.

Another important foreshadow was Harper (this time dressed in green) writing a live letter to Jack, his true love while a love song was playing.

In retrospective, even when I. The letter Harper was chosing Jack over her toxicity, the song playing was a foreshadow of 15x18. I wrote this...

To Conclude:

These two episode talked about daddy issues and Dean's inner fight that will end with Dean chosing Castiel and his present life against his toxicity and past.

It was full of foreshafows from season 15.

my predictions are pretty much the same as yours for ladies (although i don't see liza making the podium unless anna really messes up). i thought anna would win until like this week though

ooh yeah i guess! idk, i mean ok rika has 2 trixels and a quad, liza has 3 trixels and idk how many quads anna is attempting but let’s say 3. rika has a pcs advantage for sure and anna has the eteri bonus, but anna has been inconsistent on the practices. i’m not counting tuk out though bc her trixels are pretty consistent, she either pops or steps out of them and so she still has bv advantage. but tbh anything can happen!!

for men, i still think nathan might take it, but otherwise the same as yours. idk about pairs... i feel like we haven't seen s/h in forever but i think it'll be a chinese-russian sweep in some combo

nathan’s planned content is insaneee, but idk, hot take i don’t like both nate and yuzu’s programs this season actually 😭 i just want misha to take bronze and jason to get a small medal in the short program. i don’t follow pairs that closely but s/h always miss the grand prixs so i think this is normal for them, and they always deliver at 4cc/worlds so yeah same, chinese-russian sweep for sure.

dance i have no clue. if everyone's perfect, s/k and then c/b and h/d in some order (it seemed like the us wanted c/b to win had they not made mistakes at nats, but who knows?), but all three of them are so prone to making random mistakes, so anything could happen...

yeah tbh, 50% of my predictions are based on who will mess up, like bock did in both the rd and fd at nats. i think bock will get high goes, and politicking will get s/k to the top seeing as they are the only team that beat p/c. h/d are my personal faves to win though bc they have good edge quality, and their programs aren’t bad (if this is scott moir influencing me no it isn’t!!!). anyway let’s see who gets their finnstep and if the tech panel is going to give out level 4s like candy on halloween 😭

in my dreams, we get aliona/rika/sasha or anna lol. pairs i mostly just want s/h to win, and it would be nice for p/j to make the podium. yuzuru/nathan/.... jason for the men, and honestly idk about dance! i don't want snake dance to win but nor do i want zach or nikita to win worlds..... g/p for gold?

yeah my dream is more unrealistic, it would be aliona/marin/sasha or a 3a sweep 🤧 and yeah i want s/h to win, and b/k to medal maybe bc did u see they have a howl’s short program!!!! that’s literally my dream actually. and yes so true bestie i hate the snake dance soooo much, tanith was wrong for saying it was the best fd but hey we are human we can’t all be perfect!! zach can win worlds and then we can say scott moir won worlds actually 😀 and g/p has the best fd, but their levels is what will set them back a bit imo

i think this deserves a post of it’s own — some information on each of his names, what they mean, and how he got them bc this shit confuses even me sometimes ! 

Максим / MAKSIM

           his first name is given for his grandfather’s uncle. after naming his older brother, mikhail, after the boys’ paternal grandfather, levi’s parents weren’t really sure what to call him, his mother being on the fence about giving him her father’s name ( rupert, which her brother and later his son also have ). it’s what she always planned to do, but her relationship with her father is still quite distant at this time. in the end they decide on maksim because it’s a cute alternative that matches in a way with mikhail.

           maksim is a fairly common name in eastern europe, derived from the latin for “the greatest.” unlike his father and brothers’ names, it doesn’t have a typical diminutive form. ( aleksander becomes sasha, and mikhail becomes misha / mishenka. ) instead, his family call him MAX as a pet name / nickname. this persists well into adulthood — when he’s raising his niece she calls him max, too. ( also, he will crumble with the intimacy of a close friend / romantic interest calling him max, especially if they figure out on their own that he likes that. ) 

Леви ( ? )  / LEVI

           his middle name, though i don’t think levi even has a birth certificate, and if he does, levi is probably not on it. it doesn’t have an exact equivalent in russian ( lev is close but more accurately translates to ‘ leo ’ ), nor does it translate into cyrillic lettering well. his father was born and raised into the repression of the soviet union, and being a from a family of witches and wizards, who are ostracized and hunted as a group, automatically connected him to underground countercultures. american denim brands, like levi strauss, became a symbol of freedom, in part because they were illegal, and people went to great lengths to get ahold of them. ( read more about this here if you’re interested ! ) so levi is named after the denim brand; his brother’s middle name is lee. ( his father’s interest in american muggle culture very much extends to him and that’s reflected in his tastes, but that’s another post. ) etymologically, levi means “attached” or joined in hebrew. 

           when he starts at hogwarts, he starts introducing himself by his middle name because he thinks it’s cool and that it sounds ‘ less foreign ’ ( although really they’re about the same, levi isn’t as common in england as it is in america, and maksim / maxim is pretty common name outside of eastern europe ). this really just sticks because he likes the way it fits / describes his personality and by the end of his second year he really considers it to be his name. 

Александрович / ALEKSANDROVICH

           this is his patronymic — it denotes who his father is. basically, russian names conventionally have three parts: a first name, a patronymic instead of a middle name ( typically ending in -ovich or -evich for boys and -ovna or -evna for girls ), and a family name. aleksandrovich comes from his father’s name, and his brother has the same patronymic. ( they both have the same initials - MLAI. )

Ильичов / ILYICHOV

           note: his father’s family name, ilychov, is not a name that exists in the real world, like many pureblood names, it’s supposed to sound magical / odd the way malfoy / diggory / weasley / greengrass do. 

           the pronunciation is roughly IL’ICHOV, emphasis on the second syllable. the ‘ch’ stays a ‘ch,’ which is probably the most confusing part about it. basically it’s said how it’s written but how it’s written looks a bit confusing. here is a clip of the pronunciation of ‘ilyich.’ levi is quite aware of how difficult it is for english speakers to get correctly the first time or even ever wrap their mouths around it, and he doesn’t really mind. he’ll correct people if they ask him to but mostly lets them say it however they are able and has learned to answer to quite a few variation of it.

BLOTTS

           levi’s parents weren’t married when he was born, and he took his father’s name mostly because his mother didn’t really ever expect to return to england and reconcile with her family because of the course the first wizarding war was taking. ( they don’t get married until the summer of 1992, when he’s almost 13, because his father wants his own family to be able to attend which isn’t possible until after the dissolution of the soviet union. their defection deserves its own post, as does the little scandal around his parents not being married. )

          he’ll sometimes alternatively introduce himself by his mother’s last name in order to save confusion; this is especially true when he’s a teacher or a doctor ( although dr. i may also be used ). it’s also much more recognizable and associated with power, influence, and history, which can be a strategic advantage in some situations. either way, on the blotts family records, levi and mikhail are both listed as blotts, because his father lacks any influence at all.

Hello my beautiful fandom! Here I'm a need this DESTIEL meta bc I'm so so excited!

So the last episode we saw, was a reminder from Regarding Dean, plus 14x05 and mostly 14x06 (Optimism). There was a mixture between healing Dad's issues and choices: Original Family and the Family you made and also Toxic Love vs True Love.

Before you started to read this I need you to read (if you want or have time) all the metas I wrote about Healing!Dean from the previous episodes, bc... I'm seeing now that my analysis from the first half of the season are so accurate with this second half. I could make a couple of spec that now are becoming true. So if you want to read it... I will divide my analysis in two maybe three parts, one is this Dean's meta/Destiel meta, and I will talk about John and the boys later.

Ok, let's do this!

A 4 years granted wish

Remember when I said in this meta, that Dean had his mother's image that he has when he was a kid? And he needed to make the duel of that image, and he did? This is quasi the same situation.

When Sam asked Dean why he made that wish, Dean said to him that this was the desire that always wanted in his heart since he has 4 years.

But... The question is... Is that what he really wanted? Or was what he really need? Close the door and leave John behind.

The thing here was... They needed to have this reunion to heal. Dean mostly, bc he has all that heritage in his heart. And bc he needed to hear his father said he was proud of him...

This 👆in 14x05, Dean projecting himself in Sam (as a leader) he said the words he needed to heard from his dad. This episode was a prelude to what will be coming. The chat between Sasha and Dean, in which Dean said LET IT GO, is so applicable to last night episode. You will need to read my meta about that episode here, bc I don't want to sound repetitive 🤣🤣.

Dean had a long list of Daddy issues, but he still was longing for him and for a family reunion, to be together, happy as they were before Yellow Eyes.

That's the wish from Dean's Innocent childhood heart, bc inside of him he knew... He need to forgive John Winchester and let him go.

What a 40 years old man wants

But when they saw (Sam and Dean) the consequences of that wish, they changes their minds.

Dean was wanted by the police, and Sam a kind of guru. They begin to think that wasn't a good idea and maybe they should reverse the wish.

But is more interesting how Dean was decided to definitely choose his family and his hunting life, after they saw that Castiel didn't know him

This was a huge heartbreaking feeling for Dean, he had lost his hunting life, and now, he had lost Castiel. And that, my friends, was the thing. Not doubts. He wouldn't allow to lose, not his life as a hunter, not his family, and he would never lose Castiel again.

That's the real desire/wish in Dean's heart. That's what he, as a 40 years old grown up man, wants for real. Just remember the last phrase he said in Regarding Dean.

If happiness was losing everything what they were or what they do, then... Dean didn't want it...

And Dean saying "I have a family" to his dad... Was huge... Bc he said so with such a melancholic face... He wanted his family back... And CAS back. And I sensed too... He was showing he wasn't a ladies man... He wants another things in his life...

So now... He choose, his Family and romantic love over John Winchester, and he forgive him, and he let him go.

And he heard from his dad the thing he needed to hear : "I'M SO PROUD OF YOU." And was huge too Dean used the "L" word again with John... "I love you too."

To conclude:

John Winchester arrived in the moment that Dean and Sam needed, grown up men, empathizing with his father's failures, forgiving him, and choosing their lives, family and friends, over him. A beautiful way to let this old scars healing.

A huge step for Dean in his Healing process, and now we have to continue the path to self acceptance and self love.
